Playing Presidential Politics With America’s Children: Is Obama Crossing the Rubicon?

President Barack Obama is a Marxist.  Only the blind fail to see his patterns shaping his doctrine.  Whether or not he is an evil Marxist doesn’t matter.  I still don’t believe he is.  I have had many, many Marxist professors among my 700 plus quarter credits of college study, only a few of these dogmatics were , well nasty.  I believe many would have become evil, had they had any power to effect their unhappiness.  Fortunately, we have never been faced with an example.

Barack Obama has taken lessons to become a Marxist.  One of these lessons is to develop and control ideas in  a child’s thinking.  University professors have been working this magic for over a generation with their hate for private enterprise.  Hence we get president Obama, and his aides and followers.

What does this all have to do with the Rubicon?

What in hell is the Rubicon, 99% of the American population under age 60 or so, would ask?

Prager friends…..it is a river, a very small one at that.  Friends, I knew what the Rubicon was before my 16th birthday….nearly 60 years ago.  This is not a statement of any bragging rights…It is simply a statement of fact, but an important fact at this writing.

I learned about the Rubicon in one of my very favorite classes of my entire life…Beginning Latin at St. Paul Central High School in 1949.  I learned it had a meaning to all Romans free and slave, rich and poor, powerful and weak.  I learned that the crossing of the Rubicon was the beginning of the end of the Roman Republic.

Americans under 60 years old know nothing about the ancient world, the rise and fall of this and the wars of that.  They know Woodstock.  They know noisy bands this and silly or foul lyrics that, the more dark, the better, and in the American black community the more vulgar, the higher the sales.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the stupidest people in the world, the American College of Education “Educators”, pundits all, invented Junior High School society and assured Americans their children would never have to learn any knowledge again.  The children would have fun in school.  Teachers would be their friend.  They would teach their little ones how to think.  Latin classes disappeared.  Math class requirements might include running the cashregister in the lunchroom.

It was in the late 1960s and 1970s when the angry residues from the street violence of those years..blacks, feminists, socialists, peaceniks, druggies, dropouts, the cult groups, began to give rise to the victimhood coalitions preaching and teaching hate against America.  Noam Chomsky, Howard Zin, Bill Ayers, The Black Nationalist movement, Betty Friedan, and Gloria Steinem entered the university ‘intellectual” world.  They and countless others stuck their fangs forever more into the curricula of the social science class studies of just about every college and university of America.  They opposed knowledge and democracy.  They preferred  ”getting even” through Marxism, censorship, intimidation, and finally with legislation.  In 2008 this victimhood coalition, based on  subterfuge, intimidation, and hate succeeded  in defeating Hillary Clinton, and John McCain and elevated Marxist trained, Community Organizer Barack Obama to the American presidency.

These angry victimhood coalition people are not interested in doing what is good for the country.  They don’t like America.

Today, American voters  under 60 are so empty of knowledge…knowledge of the past, knowledge of the meaning of devastating and dramatic events, of things written, of  matters argued, of honest sacrifice, suffering and struggle, which used to be taught as fundamental learnings which citizens of a democratic society had to know in order to make knowledgeable decisions at the ballot box, so essential for democracy to flourish.

Democracy is not flourishing in America because America has forgotten to teach its children knowledge.  Our children are ignorant of the struggle of America’s past….except for the Marxist propagandists like Noam Chomsky, Howard Zin, Bill Ayers, who know only that which is needed to create their Marxist utopia.

The Rubicon, is the little stream  north of Rome marking the border into Italy, across which  no Roman general was ever to lead an army.  To  do so was treason.

Julius Caesar approached the stream in 49 BC with his victorious armies knowing full well the meaning of the change he was about to cause.  He crossed the stream, the Rubicon,  with his army.  He had crossed the point of no return.  He plunged Rome into civil war, which ended the Rome’s experiment  with democracy.

Modern science has provided the American presidency with the opportunity to “instruct’ its children from Washington, D.C. directly into classrooms  since  about 1948 when it would have been difficult, but possible.   Authorities and authoritarians dream about the advantages this opportunity offers in getting the “right’ message directly into the ears of each student.

No American President has ever dared to be the first to become the authority and/or the authoriatarian to “cross the Rubicon” directly into the American classroom until America’s 44th president, Barack Obama.

It is my belief that half of America doesn’t care about democracy.  It has no feel for it, no understanding of it, and most of all it has no comprehension of the responsibilities required to keep a democracy healthy.  It cannot understand why the government can’t just shut conservatives up!  That half, the Obama half, has been educated to hate its conservative opponents.

The left’s devotion to change requires authoritarian rule.  These victimhood Marxists with their carefully limited, but well groomed views about conservative Americans believe these ”creatures” are beneath contempt, unworthy of a podium, a  radio program, a classroom, or a newspaper columnist to offend.

“Conservatives aren’t for the people”, they bleat.

Obama Speech to Students

How nice to see this posted on the website for my school district–Savage/Prior Lake.

“President Obama Address:

Many of you may be aware that President Obama plans to address America’s children with a back-to-school message on Sept. 8th. This live broadcast will not be aired in our schools. The address will be recorded and the use of portions of the presentation will be evaluated by building administration and teaching staff to determine if the message is appropriate for curriculum and instruction. If taped portions are shown, students may opt out of hearing the broadcast.”

I was all set to present my argument against the speech when I saw this statement.  I called the communications director, then, and thanked her for the district’s decision.

Conservatives have had to wage daily battles against the Obama agenda.  It is nice to see a small victory.
