America’s March to the Left: September 10 Meeting

This Thursday, September 10, our Mn Dennis Prager Discussion Group will  be meeting  to discuss  Chapter Two, THE NATIONALIZATION OF INDUSTRY, in its series, “America’s March to the Left”, a march led by President Barack Obama and his Democrat Party Congress.

We are very pleased to have Bruce Tilsner of Tilsner Carton Company, loyal Prager Group member and regular defender of America’s small business community, as group discussion leader. 

 Bruce is particularly concerned not only about the Obama administration’s seizure of private property in the American automobile and financial communities, but also Obama’s efforts to  nationalize  the American Health industry and expand government control of the world’s climate science, America’s education industry, and  the nation’s  ”energy” systems and resulting taxation patterns. 

Prager reminds us, “The Bigger the Government, the Smaller the Citizen.”

Bruce plans to lead the discussion more specifically along these lines, by answering the question, “How does government, ever expanding  into the nation’s private and economic  life, affect the Business Climate and therefore, the  American Economy.”

Thursday, November 12, 2009:  Part 4 in this series:  Dr. Alfred Pekarek, Assistant Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at St. Cloud State University, will be our Prager Group guest.  His presentation is entitled, “A Geologist Looks at Climate Change.”

Dr. Pekarek is one of a group of scientists who signed an open letter to President Obama, dated November 19, 2008, that challenges the scientific bases for climate change “alarmism”.

Please set these dates aside for your Mn Prager Discussion Group.  Your participation helps us all become more knowledgeable and therefore more competent in developing our understandings of the issues which confront contemporary America.  And remember our American Trinity:  Liberty, E Pluribus Unum, and In God We Trust.
