In a thriving, healthy democracy, people go about their own business. Facing the constraints of nature and nurture they have an inalienable right to seek out their tomorrows and sculpt who they want to be and be with. The American Consitution suggests this is a right by Law.
To maintain a healthy democracy people must be devoted to care about the future. The children of democrats must be trained to be democrats, to believe in the sanctity of the democratic process……and its requirements. The citizen must have the ability to discern the good from the bad, both morally and politically. Democracy does not transfer person to person by blood…….nor does knowledge.
Democracy and its processes will always be under attack. Ignorance is always an enemy. The current attack we are witnessing today by the Obama Marxists, with their brazen assaults on the democratic process, is based on more than just ignorance. It is the result of a long time, relentless assault on the American citizen’s democratic rights by Marxist dreamers and authoritarians.
Why have these aliens to the democratic process become immune and antagonistic to American traditions?
What happens in a population when millions of voters who pay no income taxes can vote to rob from those citizens who do pay taxes? Greed, jealousy, tyranny and the rise of Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright!
What about the half in America who pay their income taxes? Where have they been all of these years while the nation was sliding away from its traditions into Marxist corruption and decay?
They are and were busy raising their families. They trusted others to teach and lead. They prefer to live a private, rather than a political life. They work. They lost sight of what their children, teenagers and college kids were learning and not learning. The lost sight that no one was teaching democracy and citizen responsibilities any more.
They were betrayed.
New values, new rights replaced the old. The thrill of sex, drugs, and the right to do and utter whatever the child wants in the name of freedom, replaced what ever remained of cultural rules of personal responsibility and the meaning of true liberty. Adulthood vanished from American society.
Besides sex is fun. Learning about personal responsibility isn’t. It’s been an easy sell in schools.
The New Americans, the Obama Americans, believe they are entitled to be rich and famous. It is their Marxist-given right. They are entitled to believe what others have earned, rightfully belongs to them and their fellow victims. All work or none work is deemed to be equal.
This Obama”care” government intrusion into the health and wealth, the life and death of the individual is the beginning of the end of the American dream and the freedom to pursue it. America as a democratic society has been put on life support this day. It is dying.
Who is to blame? Marxists will blame big business. Marxists lie …..there is no such thing and truth, they teach…..only Marxism. Conservatives will blame big government. Big government became the poison pill, yes……..but who put together the poison pill?
In a democracy it’s always the people. We deserve what we do or don’t do. We, the people, stopped sharing and teaching democratic values……values which are derived from basic JudeoChristian principles of human worth and behavior. As a culture we allowed our offspring to grow in age, but not in understandings.
Judge the actions of the Obama administration over the past year. Judge further on what they have in store for America tomorrow. Judge for yourself…….Where is the right to BRIBE guaranteed in the American Constitution?
There is an article in a recent Weekly Standard by Matthew Continetti, subtitled “Democrats lose patience with democracy”. It was written when it looked as if the Obama takeover of the Health industry might not occur…….”Liberals have assigned responsibility for the mess they’re in neither to their program nor to their methods but to larger, structural faults in American politics and society. After all, opines Jacob “Weisberg in Newsweek, the “biggest culprit” behind “our political paralysis” is the “childishness, ignorance, and growing incoherence of the public at large.” You simply do not know what’s good for you. “On many issues these days,” writes the Washington Post’s Steven Pearlstein, “the American people are badly confused.” “The people may have spoken,” writes the New Yorker’s James Surowiecki. “It’s just not clear that they’re making any sense.” In a blog post titled “Too Dumb to Thrive,” Time magazine’s Joe Klein cuts to the chase: “It is very difficult to thrive in an increasingly competitive world if you’re a nation of dodos.”
Contintetti continues: “The problem, as Weisberg sees it, is that America “simultaneously demands and rejects action on unemployment, deficits, health care, and other problems.” Note the myopia. For Weisberg, the only conceivable “action” on any issue is limited to the policy preferences of liberal Democrats. No other options spring to mind.”
The American citizen has been betrayed by its university graduates of the past few generations. They joined the Marxist types who were stimulated by what they were programmed to believe was an inevitable replacement for America’s outdated Christianity.
They’ve been taught to rely of godless Marxism for their religious and economic future.
