The headline this morning on my Wall Street Journal newspaper reads,” “U.S. Ramps Up Tab on BP”.
In such reporting U.S. means the current American operating government…in this case the administration of Barack Husein Obama…….and more directly, the Obama man himself. He is at the post in charge. And this president is into micromanagement as the American news reader must already know full well by now.
Last week Obama announced he was going to sic Eric Holder and the American court system to find a crime or two in this alien’s earlier effort to ‘kick ass’, as the president described his bravado which some leftwing critics insisted he was missing.
“”The Obama Administration ratcheted up its demands on Wednesday that BP PLC cover all costs stemming from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, including millions of dollars in salaries of oilindustry workers laid off because of the federal (read Obama) moratorium on deepwater drilling. (Parentheses info added).
Now, the company has already lost $82,000,000 in this little episode which stirs this bravado in the American president……who suggests off and on that the company is cheating the people somehow benefitting from this disaster by intentionally delaying putting an end to it.
Obama infers from time to time that those of us in private enterprise, even small fish like me, are dishonest. We like disasters. We, like Obama’s government, have endless resources of financial reach, fair and foul.
Obama likens all American free enterprise with the crooks he has bedded with in the Chicago Democrat Party and their world of corruption….such as Tony Rezk0. He assumes these hundreds are an accurate profile of the entire American free enterprise family.
Another show in town is presently on stage to investigate into Obama’s party and Party friends with political bribing in the Blago case. Mr. Obama might wind up in this court as a witness for the corruption.
“I’m not aware of anything out there that would allow (President Obama) to latch onto a legal remedy on behalf of the out-of-work workers,” said Banjamin A. Escobar Jr., a Houston-based labor and employment attorney…..I think he’s in for a real court fight on these issues.”
Mr. Obama seems certain of the deep pockets of free enterprise companies, even the ones like BP who has played banker and policy developer for Obama’s Democrat Party in the past. But they don;’t print money like his administration can and does to cover their glitches large and small…….such as the present down swing in the American economy in general……and tomrrow’s cost of Obamacare…..and we are talking about trillions in Obama’s world……not a million here or there as in the world of most major companies.
Obama may be in a “kick ass” mood enough to nationalize BP…..I am certain the British part won’t mind. He can spend trillions to patch up the leak. Then he can use his American treasury, from citizens like you and me, to pay off all nonworkers along the Gulg coast or any coast, so that they and other “working” and non-working Americans will rally around the Obama government flag to re-elect Sir Barack in 2012.
All Americans have a right to work.
