What Is Obama Up To With Licensing Your House?

For those having  attended  a  Minnesota public school or university over the past 20 years,  you might not know what the USSR stands for or means.

The USSR is to the largest land mass under a government as the USA  is to the land between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, south of Canada and north of Mexico. 

The USSR was democracy’s main enemy for most of the twentieth century, America’s opponent fighting the Cold War.

In the good old USSR, now called Russia, the population was reduced by the dictatorship, the military, and the secret police to force equality upon the human being.   This meant no one actually owned their residence, but occupied it until there were other purposes designed  to use the space.  Bureaucrats would decide.  

Mammoth project complexes were built throughout the USSR, also known as the Soviet Union to house the masses.  When I was touring European parts of the USSR in 1966 these colorless, ugly, cold, massive barracks were more remindful of military issue than places where humans resided. 

Lefties created the USSR.  Lefties love massive housing projects.  They also worship big government….government that decides even the details of how citizens live and the size of living space they are permitted.

Obama Lefties are trying to create a similar SSR in these United States.  They are certain the world would be better if everyone except Lefty politicians and bureacrats would have no more and no less than anyother person.  Good people, the Communist leaders pronounced, believe in equality, and like American president Obama, equality would be enforced.  

Lefty politicians and their bureaucrats would get more, though.  There is more responsibility for people who tell everyone else how to live, when to work, what to eat, what cannot be sold and what could be produced and what the government would charge for the goods produced.

Government committees would decide style of goods and prices.

Citizens simply had to go to work and obey forced equality.

If citizen A had a larger living space than citizen B, one would wonder how citizen A had prostituted himself or herself to gain a larger space in which to live.

Throughout Moscow, Rostov na Donu,  and other Soviet cities, nevertheless, there were single dwellings, not houses exactly,  but hovels, small,  delapitated, blackened with age and neglect, but a hovel where there lived a single family.   Around many of these little hovels there were tomatoes growing everywhere.  Unlike the earlier days of Marxist rule, the inhabitants of these hovels could sell their tomatoes and other crops at a small open market…….a pimple of free enterprise on a whale of a body of Obama-like liscensing, to rule and control.

Licensing is coming to your house, my fellow Americans.  You voted for Barack Obama and you are getting what you voted for.

A License Required for your HOUSE?

If you own your home you really need to check this out. At the end of this email is the Google link to verify.  If the country thinks the housing market is depressed now, wait until everyone sees this. No one will be buying homes in the future.

We encourage you to read the provisions of the Cap and Trade Bill that has passed the House of Representatives and are being considered by the Senate. We are ready to join the next march on Washington ! This Congress and their “experts” are truly out to destroy the middle class of the U.S.A.

A License will be required for your house…no longer just for cars and mobile homes….Thinking about selling your house?  Take a look at H.R. 2454  (Cap and Trade bill).  This is unbelievable!  Home owners take note and tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!

Beginning one year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won’t be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this  “Cap & Trade” bill, passed by the House of Representatives. If it is also passed by the Senate, it will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.

 

The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year. No one is excluded.  However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure that these voters will get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you Mr. And Mrs. Middle Class have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else..

But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this: A year from now you won’t be able to sell your house without some bureaucrat’s OK. Yes, you read that right.

The caveat (there always is a caveat) is that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes (“mobile homes”) are included. In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator.

 

To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured. Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be required to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act, to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements.

 

Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a “label” in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner. If you don’t get a high enough rating, you can’t sell. 

 

And, the EPA administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act. The EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program  (AKA the “American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009″) and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he/she alone determines to be in the government’s best interest. Requirements are set low initially so the bill will pass Congress. Then the Administrator can set new standards every year.

The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings. However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time. Sect. 202 – Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency of all existing homes across America. 

 

Beginning one year after enactment of the Act, you won’t be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with its energy and water efficiency standards. You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year and will be really hard (expen$ive) to meet in a few years. Oh, goody!

 

The Act allows the government to give you a grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements IF you meet certain energy efficiency levels. But, wait, the State can set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants. You should expect requirements such as “can’t have an income of more than $50K per year”, “home selling price can’t be more than $125K”, or anything else to target the upper middle class (that includes YOU?) and prevent you from qualifying for the grants. 

 

Most of us won’t get a dime and will have to pay the entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more “change you can believe in.” Sect. 204 – Building Energy Performance Labeling Program establishes a labeling program that for each individual residence will identify the achieved energy efficiency performance for “at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act.”

This means that within 5 years 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get an additional $20M each year to help the EPA. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming up with tougher standards each year…

Oh, the label will be like a license for your car. You will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without having this label. And, just like your car license, you will probably be required to get a new label every so often – maybe every year.

 

But, the government estimates the cost of measuring the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time. Remember what they said about the auto smog inspections when they first started: that in California? It would only cost $15. That was when the program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate. 

 

 Expect the same from the home labeling program. Sect. 304 – Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines for the National Building Code and mandates at 304(d) that one year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.”

Comment:  Marxism is at your door.  Are you going to let it in?

Bureaucracies and Affirmative Action

The following is an article by Scott W.  Johnson at PowerLine, “Backwards on Civil Rights”:

The current Congress is working hand in glove with the Obama administration to take us ever further backwards on civil rights. This week’s example is section 342 of the Dodd-Frank bill.

The bill generally grants the federal government ever greater power over the financial services industry. As Diana Furchtgott-Roth noted last week, section 342 of the bill requires all federal agencies governed by the bill establish an Office of Minority and Women Inclusion responsible for “all matters of the agency relating to diversity in management, employment, and business activities.”

Among other things, these offices must “develop standards” for “assessing the diversity policies and practices of entities regulated by the agency.” That means the whole financial industry. Financial regulation and affirmative action all in one. It is a “major power grab.”

The U.S. Civil Rights Commission is not standing idly by. Yesterday four individual commissioners — Peter Kirsanow, Gail Heriot, Ashley Taylor and Todd Gaziano — sent a letter to Senate leaders opposing the bill’s affirmative action provisions. It is not an official Commission later, since the commissioners sought to get the letter out before the bill is voted upon this week. The letter was signed by four of the eight commissioners. The more interesting paragraphs in the letter sent by the four commissioners run this way:

The potential for abuse should be obvious, but sadly sometimes it is not to those who are unfamiliar with the workings of governmental and corporate bureaucracies. All too often, when bureaucrats are charged with the worthy task of preventing race or gender discrimination, they in fact do precisely the opposite: Consciously or unconsciously, they require discrimination by setting overly optimistic goals that can only be fulfilled by discriminating in favor the groups the goals are supposed to benefit. Those who are regulated by, or do business with, a federal agency are understandably eager to please that agency. When the agency says, “Jump!,” they know the financially smart response is, “How high?,” not “We’re concerned that your diversity goals cannot be achieved without tilting the playing field in favor of one group or another–something we believe the law and the Constitution forbid.”

In this case, the bureaucrats are not even being asked to prevent discrimination, but to ensure “fair inclusion.” The likelihood that it will in fact promote discrimination is overwhelming.

For these reasons alone, we would oppose Section 342 and recommend its deletion from the Dodd-Frank bill. But there is another, equally important aspect of Section 342 that concerns us. Some legislators have evidently come to think of women and minorities as just another constituency whose leaders must be brought on board with incentives when major legislation is being considered. The notion that legislation should include “a little something” for everyone is troubling in any context, but it is especially troubling in the context of race and gender, given the requirements of the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution.

This is another area where Obama and the Democrats stand athwart public opinion. Yesterday’s Rasmussen poll on affirmative action showed only 32 percent of those polled supporting “affirmative action,” while 46 percent opposed it.

The question asked appears to have been something straightforward like, “Do you support affirmative action?” If so, it shows racial and gender preferences are getting even less popular. They’ve always been massively unpopular when the question asked is clear. But a vague question like “Do you support affirmative action?” used to get a plurality.

A Gallup poll released the day after the Supreme Court’s Grutter and Gratz decisions in 2003, for example, showed a bare plurality (49 percent) supporting “affirmative action” broadly (presumably including such non-controversial aspects as outreach); a distinction was made between that and preferential standards. A strong majority (69 percent) said that college applicants “should be admitted solely on the basis of merit, even if that results in few minority students being admitted.” Only 27 percent took the position that an applicant’s race should be taken into consideration “even if that meant admitting some minority students who otherwise would not be admitted.”

A different poll, worded somewhat differently, conducted by the Washington Post in 2001, showed 94 percent of whites and 86 percent of blacks agreeing that hiring, promotions, and college admissions should be based “strictly on merit and qualifications other than race/ethnicity.” That poll may overstate the opposition to racial preferences, though that is something that is not easy to do.

The great victory of the civil rights movement led by Martin Luther King, Jr., was one of moral persuasion: King persuaded Americans that it was wrong and deeply un-American to treat citizens differently based on the color of their skin. That victory of moral persuasion was translated into the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the law that prohibited discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, or sex in wide areas of American life. It’s been downhill more or less ever since, and the Dodd-Frank bill is geared to contribute mightily to the descent when it is passed this week.

Obama Has Racism Worries: Blacks Can’t Rise in the Al-Qaeda Terrorism Business

Yesterday, Mr. Obama gave a speech to black Afticans about the Al Queda attack on an Uganda crowd watching the World Cup match on Sunday.  Eighty or so were murdered.

No mention was made that the attackers were Muslim Jihadists.  But Mr. Obama did mention racism.  Although there was no mention that Al Queda is old hat at its trade, having killed 3,000 Americans in September, 2001, and bombed its embassies in Tanzania and Kenya in 1998.  

Mr. Obama paid little attention to the Al Queda character and outlook toward human beings in general, that Al Queda is a part of Islam, a group that glorifies and teaches its throngs  the “beauty” of death, that  it is the enemy of western societies.  

But Mr. Obama did mention racism.

I haven’t heard every speech this most speechifying president in American history has made, but my money is on the table that he has not described the assaults on Americans as an act of racism.

Would you, dear reader, agree from what you have heard from this president’s speechifyings?

“ In an interview with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) to be broadcast early Wednesday, the US leader, who is of African descent, took aim at the motivations of extremists who are increasingly active on the continent.

“What you?ve seen in some of the statements that have been made by these terrorist organizations is that they do not regard African life as valuable in and of itself,” Obama said.

(Did Al Queda regard American life as valuagle in and of itself when it murdered 3,000 innocents on September 11, 2001?)

“They see it as a potential place where you can carry out ideological battles that kill innocents without regard to long-term consequences for their short-term tactical gains.”

Obama’s interview marked the first, direct, comments by the president on the bombings in Kampala, which sowed death among crowds watching footage of the World Cup final on Sunday, killing 76 people.

A senior American official made clear Obama was making a direct political and ideological challenge to Al-Qaeda affiliates on the continent, which US intelligence agencies say are the extremist group’s most active franchises.

“The president references the fact that both US intelligence and past Al-Qaeda actions make clear that Al-Qaeda and the groups like (Shebab) that they inspire — do not value African life.

“In short, Al-Qaeda is a racist organization that treats black Africans like cannon fodder and does not value human life,” the official said, on condition of anonymity.

(Was Al Queda a racist organization that treats white, black, and oriental Americans like cannon fodder and does not value human life?)

Obama also dwelt in the interview on the cruel timing of the attacks, after a different US official earlier gave credence to Somalia-based Shebab’s claim to have carried them out.

“It was so tragic and ironic to see an explosion like this take place when people in Africa were celebrating and watching the World Cup take place in South Africa,” he said in excerpts released by the White House.

(Was it not equally tragic and ironic to see an explosion or two or three or four like this take place when people in America were eating lunch with friends, working together in offices, flying home or to places to visit friends or enjoy the peace and quiet of a vacation retreat?)

“On the one hand, you have a vision of an Africa on the move, an Africa that is unified, an Africa that is modernizing and creating opportunities.

“On the other hand, you?ve got a vision of Al-Qaeda and (Shebab) that is about destruction and death.

“And I think it presents a pretty clear contrast in terms of the future that most Africans want for themselves and their children.

(I am wondering if anyone in the Obama audience does not have a pretty clear contrast in terms of the future that most Africans want for themselves and their children.)

“And we need to make sure that we are doing everything we can to support those who want to build, as opposed to want to destroy.”

(I am wondering which side Mr. Obama favors; those who want to build, or those who want to destroy the United States, its economy and its democracy;  its culture.)

The blasts that ripped through a crowded bar and a restaurant in Kampala on Sunday have been claimed by Shebab insurgents in Somalia, who called them retaliation for the presence of Ugandan troops in Mogadishu.

The bombings — for which the death toll had risen to 76 overnight — were the deadliest in East Africa since Al-Qaeda attacks against the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1988.

They were the first ever attack by the Shebab outside Somalia, marking an unprecedented internationalization of Somalia’s 20-year-old civil war.

Comment:  What is missing from the report are the comments Mr. Obama apparently made as proof of  his claim that Al Queda is a racist organization because it doesn’t allow African blacks to rise up the ladder to success in the organization.  They are only used as grunts to deliver the lethal blows.

Mr. Obama is an isolate from the American university and as isolate withing the left wing of the American Democrat Party.  He is an angry isolate.  His comments in this speech suggest a common black American  racist’s view that the human being is an enemy one to another based on racial heritage.   Mr. Obama told his story in his leftwing tauted, “Gettysburg address” when he expose his white grandmother’s racism for having worries occasionally about black violence in the community.

It is a common  prejudice in the American black community to believe that the American white community acts, talks, thinks, and behaves, steals and kills exactly as this occurs in the inner city black community.  (Whitey doesn’t  report about it, they claim because of  his racism.)

Does Mr. Obama believe that the worst elements which drive Al Queda to murder is from its racism?

Only a dogmatist could be so blind.  

Al Queda is a religious sect gone nuts.  They kill more Muslims, more Arabs than anyone else, regardless of race…..

Mr. Obama!   What kind of racism do you call murderers who kill folks exactly like themselves……..just for the joy of religious satisfaction????

These murderers are sociopaths and psychopaths hiding under the cloth of religion……

All of Islam is culpible in these atrocities.   Hundreds of millions approve and cheer the killings, feeling pride from the events.  Other hundreds of millions are proud Islam is making a difference in the world even though the difference comes through atrocity. 

Islam has again reached the top of the world…..

Debate Brews Over Black Racism From the United States House of Representatives and the NAACP!

That is quite a headline for this blog writing, isn’t it.  Unfortunately it seems to be  true.  

The headline BELOW  (Debate Over Tea Party ‘Racism’, comes from my MSN Internet carrier.  The “news”,  or better yet, what is printed within its domain can be described as “shallow, shallower, and shallowest”, or  left, leftier and leftiest.  I have to brush by its propaganda every time I enter the internet. 

Worse than that, it is untrue!

The question is whether these Black Congressmen who were  involved in starting the racist bit in the first place will be honorable enough to simply tell the truth…….One of  them claims the word ‘nigger’ was shouted 25 times as he walked past a large group of Tea  Party people  gathered to protest passage of obamacare  some weeks ago. 

Not 24 times, not 19 or 27 and a half times….but 25 times.   There are recordings, there are videos, and above all  there is a reward of between $10,000 and $100,000  offered  to anyone who can provide evidence the vileness of this Black Congressman’s claim occurred at all.

Silence reigns!!!!

It has long been practiced among the left and among black politicians and  racists (and, sad to say among Black leaders who are otherwise  honorable) and demogogues of any stripe or color, anxious for publicity or  attention, and money, to use the nigger word or  allege  similar slurs to  attack and smear the innocent.  Reporters, like piranha, usually become enfrenzied by such  claims, baseless  slurs though they may be.  After a second of  thinking yesterday’s rules of honesty.  fairness and the vital role of evidence,  they  nevertheless write a title to their story just as you see it below

Debate Brews Over Tea Party ‘Racism’

Again, this is MSN’s title assuring us that racism definitely has occurred.  It is tied to the Tea Party.  There is only a debate about it now.  MSN continues:  “An NAACP resolution claims tea party activists tolerate bigotry, & condemns racism within the political group. Tea party supporters like Sarah Palin are firing back.”

I also submit….as my opinion……that the writers of this info piece are interested in associating the name of Sarah Palin with the words, “Tea Party ‘Racism’.   Lefties are allergic to Sarah. 

It also should become clear  to all Americans that president Obama, despite his sweet words about moving America beyond its racist past….meaning, hopefully, both white and black, (unless his head is in the sand about the latter) has every intention to use race and racism as a weapon to strengthen his reelection chances and the cause of forced equality.  

Readers should begin making lists of the areas in which this president openly or slyly feeds his American black world discontent and paranoia with his  vitamins to build hate against the majority culture. 

Obama leads a political party, the Democrat, on a political crusade, Marxism, based on creating tribes of  seething victims anxious to turn the tables against those they are told, oppress them.

Gays, blacks, latinos, feminists as well as derelicts and the dead who still vote,  have been added to the industrial and service union choirs, to sing and preach  the old time  communist propaganda languge to destroy those they believe are the cause of their moments of discomfort.

Let us pray that there are some Black politicians somewhere in America who will stand up to  honesty and integrity.
