Dennis Prager Reviews the Great Threat to America from the Dreamy Left

“One unbridgeable divide between left and right is how each views alternatives to present-day America. Those on the left imagine an ideal society that has never existed, and therefore seek to “fundamentally transform” America. When liberals imagine an America fundamentally transformed, they envision it becoming a nearly utopian society in which there is no greed, no racism, no sexism, no inequality, no poverty and ultimately no unhappiness.

Conservatives, on the other hand, look around at other societies and history and are certain that if America were fundamentally transformed, it would become just like those other societies. America would become a society of far less liberty, of ethically and morally inferior citizens and of much more unhappiness. And cruelty would increase exponentially around the world.

Conservatives believe that America is an aberration in human history; that, with all the problems that a society made up of flawed human beings will inevitably have, America has been and remains a uniquely decent society. Therefore, conservatives worry that fundamentally transforming America — making America less exceptional — will mean that America gets much worse.

Liberals worry over the opposite possibility — that America will remain more or less as it is.

Two famous statements encapsulate the operative liberal worldview.

The first was attributed to Robert F. Kennedy by his brother Sen. Edward M. Kennedy:

“There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask, ‘Why?’ I dream of things that never were, and ask, ‘Why not?’”

The other is one of the most popular songs of the last 50 years, John Lennon’s “Imagine”:

“Imagine there’s no heaven. It’s easy if you try. No hell below us, above us only sky. Imagine all the people, living for today.

“Imagine there’s no countries. It isn’t hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for, and no religion, too, Imagine all the people, living life in peace.

“You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will be as one.

“Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can. No need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man. Imagine all the people, sharing all the world.

“You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will live as one.”

Regarding the Kennedy quote, a conservative would respond something like this:

We conservatives look at America and ask, how did something so decent, so different from other societies, ever get created and last over 200 years? Of course, we always seek to improve it. But more than anything else, we seek to preserve it and its core values. We do not “dream of things that never were.” We dream the same dream as our American forefathers did — to maintain a society committed to the values of E Pluribus Unum, Liberty and In God We Trust. As for utopian dreams, we believe they are more likely to result in nightmares — horrors that would engulf America and the world if America were to be transformed.

To Lennon’s song, a conservative would respond:

Lennon’s utopia is our dystopia. A world without God to give people some certitude that all their suffering is not meaningless is a nightmare. A world without religion means a world without any systematic way of ennobling people. A world without countries is a world without the United States of America, and it is a world governed by the morally imbecilic United Nations, where mass murderers sit on its “human rights” councils. A world without heaven or hell is a world without any ultimate justice, where torturers and their victims have identical fates — oblivion. A world without possessions is a world in which some enormous state possesses everything, and the individual is reduced to the status of a serf.

Liberals frequently criticize conservatives for fearing change. That is not correct. We fear transforming that which is already good. The moral record of humanity does not fill us with optimism about “fundamentally transforming” something as rare as America. Evil is normal. America is not.”

CNN Reports Obama Support at New Low

Washington (CNN) — With little more than a month to go before the midterm elections, President Barack Obama’s approval rating has hit an all-time low.

Only 42 percent of Americans now approve of how Obama’s handling his job as president, according to a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll. Fifty-four percent disapprove of his performance.

The figures represent a new low-water mark in the CNN/ORC poll for the president, who, almost two years into his term, continues to wrestle with public worries over a sluggish economy and exhaustion with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Congressional Democrats aren’t faring much better. They now face a nine-point deficit when likely voters are asked which party they’ll back in November, according to the poll.

Top non-partisan political analysts have given the Republicans a serious shot at picking up the 39 seats necessary to recapture the House of Representatives.

A solid majority of all Americans — 56 percent — say that Obama has fallen short of their expectations. As a result, the president is not in a position to help struggling Democratic candidates; only 37 percent of likely voters say they are more likely to vote for a congressional candidate backed by Obama.

Comment:  It should be noted that CNN noted for its Leftwing slant suggests that the troubles are public worries over a sluggish economy and exhaustion with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hello, hello, ding, ding, ding, ding…….How about adding Obama’s incompetence and demeanor…….the growing worry that he really is a Marxist in a white shirt who has a very difficult time telling the truth……and that he might be better suited to run the U. N. Then he could ruin that devious enterprise rather than ruin America’s  democracy.

Hiding George Soros Dollars Behind the Leftwing Jewish Community

Deception from the American Jewish Left pretending to be clean of George Soros money.   The following article by Paul Mirengoff was printed at Powerline.

“We’ve written before about J Street, a collection of leftists with a history of harsh criticism of Israel that claims to represent the “sensible mainstream of pro-Israel American Jews.” In my first post about the group, which I called “The J Street Deception,” I wrote: “There’s nothing wrong with Carteresque Jews forming a lobbying group, but it would be nice to see a little bit of truth in their advertising.”

Now, the great Eli Lake has exposed the true degree of the J Street Deception. Lake shows that, despite previous denials that it accepted funds from George Soros, J Street has, in fact, secretly received funding from the billionaire leftist activist. This is revealed in tax forms that show Soros and his two children, Jonathan and Andrea Soros, contributed a total $245,000 to J Street from one Manhattan address in New York during the fiscal year from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009. The Soros contributions represent one-third of J Street’s revenue from U.S. sources during the period.

Lake’s revelation has forced J Street to abandon this particular deception. Its website, in a section called “myths and facts,” had included a passage that said: “George Soros very publicly stated his decision not to be engaged in J Street when it was launched — precisely out of fear that his involvement would be used against the organization.” After Lake’s discovery was called to its attention, the website was amended to state: “J Street has said it doesn’t receive money from George Soros, but now news reports indicate that he has in fact contributed.”

Soros is so stridently anti-Israel that, as Lake notes, when Barack Obama was running for president in 2008, his campaign was quick to disown some of Soros’ more outspoken criticisms of the Israeli government. It’s no wonder, then, that J Street denied Soros’ involvement. With his central role revealed, J Street’s claim to represent “sensible mainstream of pro-Israel American Jews” becomes more laughable than ever.”

Comment:  The furtive George  Soros is a Jew from Hungary.  He  is as anti-American as he is anti-Israel.  He is the Fort Knox to countless left wing groups and causes, most of them designed to destroy constitutional government in America.  Does anyone doubt that he is a Marxist?

Charles Krauthammer’s Reviews the Blending of the Tea Party and Republicans Against Obamaland

“Visigoths at the Gate”, is the title of today’s Charles Krauthammer piece in the Washington Post reprinted here:

“When facing a tsunami, what do you do? Pray, and tell yourself stories. I am not privy to the Democrats’ private prayers, but I do hear the stories they’re telling themselves. The new meme is that there’s a civil war raging in the Republican Party. The Tea Party will wreck it from within and prove to be the Democrats’ salvation.

I don’t blame anyone for seeking a deus ex machina when about to be swept out to sea. But this salvation du jour is flimsier than most.

In fact, the big political story of the year is the contrary: that a spontaneous and quite anarchic movement with no recognized leadership or discernible organization has been merged with such relative ease into the Republican Party.

The Tea Party could have become Perot ’92, an anti-government movement that spurned the Republicans, went third-party and cost George H.W. Bush reelection, ending 12 years of Republican rule. Had the Tea Party gone that route, it would have drained the Republican Party of its most mobilized supporters and deprived Republicans of the sweeping victory that awaits them on Nov. 2.

Instead, it planted its flag within the party and, with its remarkable energy, created the enthusiasm gap. Such gaps are measurable. This one is a chasm. This year’s turnout for the Democratic primaries (as a percentage of eligible voters) was the lowest ever recorded. Republican turnout was the highest since 1970.

True, Christine O’Donnell’s nomination in Delaware may cost the Republicans an otherwise safe seat (and possibly control of the Senate), and Sharron Angle in Nevada is running only neck-and-neck with an unpopular Harry Reid. On balance, however, the Tea Party contribution is a large net plus, with its support for such strong candidates as Marco Rubio of Florida, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Joe Miller of Alaska, Mike Lee of Utah. Even Rand Paul, he of the shaky start in Kentucky, sports an eight-point lead. All this in addition to the significant Tea Party contribution to the tide that will carry dozens of Republicans into the House.

Nonetheless, some Democrats have convinced themselves that they have found the issue with which to salvage 2010. “President Obama’s political advisers,” reports the New York Times, “are considering a range of ideas, including national advertisements, to cast the Republican Party as all but taken over by Tea Party extremists.”

Sweet irony. Fear-over-hope rides again, this time with Democrats in the saddle warning darkly about “the Republican Tea Party” (Joe Biden). Message: Vote Democratic and save the nation from a Visigoth mob with a barely concealed tinge of racism.

First, this is so at variance with reality that it’s hard to believe even liberals believe it. The largest Tea Party event yet was the recent Glenn Beck rally on the Mall. The hordes descending turned out to be several hundred thousand cheerful folks in what, by all accounts, had the feel of a church picnic. And they left the place nearly spotless — the first revolution in recorded history that collected its own trash.

Second, the general public is fairly evenly split in its views of the Tea Party. It experiences none of the horror that liberals do — and think others should. Moreover, the electorate supports by 2-to-1 the Tea Party signature issues of smaller government and lower taxes.

Third, you would hardly vote against the Republican in your state just because there might be a (perceived) too-conservative Republican running somewhere else. How would, say, Paul running in Kentucky deter someone from voting for Mark Kirk in Illinois? Or, to flip the parties, will anyone in Nevada refuse to vote for Harry Reid because Chris Coons, a once self-described “bearded Marxist,” is running as a Democrat in Delaware?

Fourth, what sane Democrat wants to nationalize an election at a time of 9.6 percent unemployment and such disappointment with Obama that just this week several of his own dreamy 2008 supporters turned on him at a cozy town hall? The Democrats’ only hope is to run local campaigns on local issues. That’s how John Murtha’s former district director hung on to his boss’s seat in a special election in Pennsylvania.

Newt Gingrich had to work hard — getting Republican candidates to sign the Contract with America — to nationalize the election that swept Republicans to victory in 1994. A Democratic anti-Tea Party campaign would do that for the Republicans — nationalize the election, gratis — in 2010. As a very recent former president — now preferred (Public Policy Polling, Sept. 1) in bellwether Ohio over the current one by 50 percent to 42 percent — once said: Bring ‘em on.”

Comment:  That is what primaries are for.  The Republican “establishment” can offer  a  candidate  in those races where one is preferred, and faces a challenge from other Republican sources in the primaries.   The system isn’t always perfect, but this political season it has worked out very well, in my opinion.   I would gladly vote for Christine O’Donnell if I lived in little Delaware.  If  Mike Castle doesn’t support Ms. O’Donnell, I’d have to say that the better Republican won in the Delaware Republican primary.

Coates, Holder, Black Panthers Intimidating Voters

Scott W. Johnson at Powerline encourages his readers to follow closely the Christopher Coates testimony before the Civil Rights Commission today.  He writes:

“Former Department of Justice voting rights section chief Christopher Coates testified this morning before the Civil Rights Commission regarding the department’s disposition of the case against the New Black Panther Party. Coates disobeyed the instruction of his superiors in order to testify and claimed whistleblower protection for his testimony. PJM has posted Coates’s testimony in full here. It has also posted J. Christopher Adam’s related column here.

Coates’s testimony is a bombshell. It exposes a couple of Obama administration scandals at once. One involves the Obama administration’s attempt to cover up the rationale for burying the case against the NBPP. The other involves the Obama administration’s support for the racially based administration of justice. Coates’s testimony is suggestive of other scandals as well. You probably won’t be hearing much about it on the broadcast news tonight or in the papers tomorrow, but we all should do everything we can to get the word out.”

Comment:  It is often hard for me to watch Fox News which stars Geraldo Rivera from time to time.  Mr. Rivera is void of individual creative thinking preferring to preen his beard, hair piece and voice over thinking.  Yet, the bosses at Fox parade him before the public regardless of his voids.

Mr. Rivera is a Lefty……so I think his repulsiveness might be intended by meaner folks at Fox than I wish to think are employed there.  And so he warned us on last night’s “show”  that Mr. Coates is a strident right wing zealot anxious to do bad against things left.    Rivera claimed Mr. Coates was very excited to testify inferring there was only zeal not evidence to bring  to the committee.

I am not fond of Mr. O’Reilly, either…..the bloviate man.  Yet, he is on my side.

More About Bryan Glover and “When Holding a Hammer”

“When You’re Holding a Hammer” composer, Bryan Glover lost his job as an assistant athletic coach at a Tennessee middle school.  Americans can become more truthfully acquainted with the American public school system by following this story.

I know the entanglements of the public school system well.  There aren’t many  differences among them from coast to coast, except some schools are far more dangerous than others.  A few decades ago when I was a tenured high school teacher in Minneapolis, a respected study claimed the most dishonest people among the professions are those in the public education industry.  Attorneys had slipped to second place.   Perhaps I shall share some stories of ’eduator’  deceit in future blogs…..They are countless…….And that was a far more civil and tolerant time than these days of Leftwing political correctness.

Let’s follow the story, the best we can, of Bryan Glover, a Tea Party hero, in my view…..and a young American hero, also thus far, in my view.   Our country still has good young people…..we must not forget that.

The following report comes from Technology, written by Mark Whittington:

“A football coach at the Grassland Middle School in Tennessee wrote a satirical song titled “If You’re Holding a Hammer Everything Looks Like a Nail           http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfH46DTAkxo

and  sent a link to it to everyone in his personal e-mail address book, including parents of students.

The song is a dig against the Obama administration and its various policies. Unfortunately, some of the parents who received the e-mail with the link took things amiss and complained to the school. According to the One News Now site:

“‘An hour-and-a-half after sending out the e-mail, I got the phone call from the head coach saying that he had had complaints from parents; he was told to fire me,’ the former coach accounts.

“He notes that he was surprised by the allegations against him.

“‘When the coach first called me, he said his phone was blown up with parents saying that I was being politically incorrect — quote, unquote — if you will, and that some of them were even reading into racial overtones in the song,’ Glover explains.

“But he points out that the lyrics make no direct or indirect reference to race.”

To paraphrase Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit fame, they told me that if I voted for John McCain, people would be fired for writing songs ridiculing the government, and they were right!

Mind, a case could be made that Coach Bryan Glover erred by not taking into account that some of the people he sent the link to might be offended, something that would get back to the school. In this age of Obama, Americans are so polarized that sometimes families deem it prudent not to discuss politics at the dinner table.

Even so, Coach Glover would seem to, at best, be in line for a gentle reprimand behind closed doors and a promise to be more circumspect and not lose his job summarily, without recourse or a hearing. One might observe that teachers and coaches accused of molesting their charges are granted more due process than Coach Glover was for just sending a link to a satirical song.

Bryan Glover’s Gem, Which Without Obama, Reid and Pelosi, Would Never Have Been Created

Dear Prager Friends, Allies, and Obamafans,

Sometimes when one faces crises, whether as an individual or as a nation, a gem of an  unexpected occurs.

A crisis begat America Barack Hussein Obama……either a Marxist, or a student of Marx, as president.  We are struggling to remain a free society, even though we must always understand, as none of us individuals is perfect, no nation can be either…..and never will.

Dennis Prager reminds us of an iron-clad  TRUTH:  “The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen”.

President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid have made American citizens   much smaller.  Yet, even in this dark time of crisis and national mismanagement, America, still a free society, creates some gems.

Please click on below the enjoy a real gem, which without Obama, would never have been created:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5720554/when_youre_holding_a_hammer_everything.html?cat=33

Further comment:  This gem has been around for awhile, especially among Tea Party folks.  Obama supporters, especially his advisors, the American mass media, the Leftwing industry called the American universities, and others would have us believe the Tea Party folks are either racists or wackos…..or maybe both……take your pick.

This attack, concocted either in the press or within the Obama part of the Democrat Party, is vile.  It is consistent with Soviet Union versions of “truth”….which usually occurs when a society creates a “One Party Classroom” and a “One Party Press”.

America, despite this gem, is under serious attack by Soviet type extremists…….who have influenced this young, inexperienced, confused, but narrow, Barack Hussein Obama.

Where,  oh where,  anywhere is there anything racist or wacko in this Tea Party gem, “When You’re Holding a Hammer”?   It is wonderfully American to the Core!

(It should be noted that Bryan Glover, one of the composers of this gem, was fired apparently for his participation in this composition from his job as assistant athletic coach at a Tennessee school.  Be sure to check out the videos below the Hammer video.)

I want to thank Prager fan, Rick Prizant, for sending me notice of this Hammer ditty.  Good luck to its composers.

Ohio to Leave Obamaland? Disapproval Indicates a Strong “Maybe”

It is good news to me that Marxist Obama, or Marxist student, Obama, whichever the pressure prefers, is suffering at the polls.   Twenty first century college graduates don’t like the word, Marxist, and have been taught by their Leftwing professors that it is blasphemous to call anyone such a vile term….even though they, themselves, are Marxists.

Marxist Bill Ayers has been a professor…. a teacher of teachers, teaching with a heavily Marxist accent and friend of President Obama.

Perhaps citizens of Ohio are beginning to recognize the Ayers drift in the young Obama.  The following article is  from Hotline OnCall, written  by Josh Kraushaar:

“ There’s no shortage of political tumult in the Buckeye State this year, where the Democratic-held governorship and at least six Democratic-held House seats are in jeopardy. But what makes it particularly notable is that the state represents several key demographic groups whose changing perspectives will give serious insight into President Obama‘s broader political standing for 2012.

The voters Obama is losing — white-collar managers in Columbus, blue-collar union workers in Youngstown, pro-life independents around Cincinnati — are exactly the types he needs to win re-election in 2012, and they’re backing away from his party in droves. Obama tallied a whopping 60 percent disapproval rating in Quinnipiac’s latest Ohio poll, with nearly two-thirds of voters disapproving of his economic performance.

That dissatisfaction extends across the board to Democrats on the statewide ballot. The Quinnipiac poll showed Gov. Ted Strickland down 17 points to Republican John Kasich and Republican Rob Portman leading Democratic Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher by 20 points in the Senate race. A separate CNN/Time poll was striking in that the two statewide Democrats were badly underperforming in nearly every part of the state, among almost every key demographic.

Working-class Democrats are abandoning the party to support Republicans with both Wall Street and Washington ties. The business-friendly base around Columbus, which swung towards Obama in 2008, now gives both Portman and Kasich substantial leads. A sizable share (42 percent) of Kasich backers in the Quinnipiac poll said they were casting their vote specifically against Strickland, who was once one of the most popular chief executives in the country.”

Comment:  Marxists usually cause tumult in democratic states.  Keep you eyes on Venezuela, a nation once free of Hugo Chavez, when votes used to count.

As Dennis Prager reminds us:  “The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen”.   Citizens in Venezuela have been made very, very small.

Shopping in a Marxist State…..The Future for America?

The following is a blog article I wrote a year and a half ago at this blogsite.  For the vast numbers of Americans who have no clue what it is like to conduct life in a Marxist community, please read about my personal experience in the nation of  all Marxist nations, the good old USSR…..loveland for folks like Bill Ayers,  Noam Chomsky, and Howard Zinn, may the latter rest in peace.

Shopping at a “specialty store” in the good old USSR:

“Kiev is the capital of the Ukraine. In 1966 the Ukraine was just another SSR of the USSR. Today it is independent from Russia, but remaining independent is a constant sturggle. Readers might remember the Russian Secret Police led government turned off oil supplies “traveling” to the Ukraine for reasons economic and political just this past winter..A good time to cause trouble. This part of the good old USSR, was the bread basket…farm country with a bit of coal lying around. Alas no vast oil reserves to assure annual income. The Ukrainians are Russian-like in language, and Orthodox-like in religion, but beyond that, Nationalism, the drive for independence from things Russian had been the driving wedge between these old time Viking tribes. Nearly 20,000,000 Ukrainian peasants were intentionally starved to death at the directive of Socialist State policy under Josef Stalin.

I wonder how many State Socialists in the Barrack Obama administration have ever read a biography of Josef Stalin. I mean the biographies beyond the fictions written and approved by the Soviet Secret Police.

I wonder how many Prager fans have ever read anything about Josef Stalin at all.

Commune organizing was popular government policy under Stalin. It was particularly effective in the Ukraine.

I could not understand Ukrainian when spoken to me. In 1966 Ukrainians studied Russian in school as their Soviet dictated “native” tongue. Ukrainian was spoken at home. Russian was spoken in the shops…at least in all the shops I visited.

As a rule I hate shopping. I am a focussed shopper. If I need or think I want something and I think I can afford it, I go and buy it. Then I return to normal life as quickly as possible. But in the good old USSR I enjoyed browsing around the shops. There was so little available. Twelve flavors of ice cream were advertised for sale, but only one flavor “today”…Same advertisement the next day, but still only one flavor “today”. The game could go on for a year. It allowed the Soviets to trump the West. Even then when the visiting American Lefties of the day would view the 12 flavors ad, they’d return home anxious to write in magazines and give speeches at colleges about how much further advanced the good old USSR was than the States. They had a better Constitution as well. Weren’t the ice cream flavors proof?

If you, dear reader, have been in regular attendance with these USSR blogs of mine, you’ll remember reading that a few weeks back I owned a very American chartreuse summer hat. What happened to that hat will be explained in future writing. On this particularly day, I decided I needed a Soviet hat. I remembered a chic (Soviet chic) cutely designed (Soviet cute) men’s hat shop (Soviet shop..state owned, remember) a couple miles from my “nolift” seventeen floor downtown Kiev newly built hotel.

I entered the sixty by twenty foot chic shop. A series of glass fixtures lined up the left side of a broad aisle. Across from the cases were boxes and boxes with handwritten labels stacked on shelves from a store long eight foot high shelf to the ceiling, about fifteen feet high above the aisle. It turned out that most of the boxes were empty. Soviets preferred image to production.

There were three young women “working” at this hat collective. One sat behind the glass cases protecting the hats. A second sat on a ladder perhaps to inventory the boxes at the 12 foot level, and the third, in the farthest corner from the entry door, a gal sat at the abacus, (the period piece beaded price calculator). Both I and my Russian clothes have a Soviet workers’ baggy look. I was the only shopper.

I had disturbed the gals in their conversation.. They were not pleased. Their looks were piercing. By now I knew my responsibilities as a shopper. I would point to the style of the hat in the glass case I wanted to purchase. I would submit my size in writing to the clerk sitting behind the showcases. The clerk would write down the price on something resembling toilet paper, and I would take the paper and present it to the abacus gal, pay the abacus gal, who in her turn would give me a receipt with her handwritten approval that I had bought the hat I had requested.

Now the details of reality. I handed the receipt to the clerk. She asked me my hat size. I forgot to learn Soviet hat sizes. They were in centimeters. I knew a meter was about a yard, so let’s say 36 inches, yes, 39.37 inches, I recalled. So, where do I go from here? My American hat size is 7 1/2…what does 7 1/2 mean? I had no idea. To this day I still have no understanding what the American hat size measurement is based on.
Soviet clerks did not approve of anyone trying on clothes which were not yet purchased. State policy.

Pozhalsta..mne stidno. Ya ne znayou cvoevo razmera. I said it sheepishly for I expected ridicule in return…”Please, I am embarrassed. I don’t know my own size,” praying she would let me try on the hat I actually had bought. She sized me all right…as some stupid glupe..and looked up at her Soviet sisters and exclaimed, “A grown man and doesn’t know his own hat size.” Then she turned toward me and spit out as if her saliva were acid, “You fool. You should be ashamed.”
Rudeness by Soviets to Soviets in public was universally standard in 1966. It was practiced everywhere including on me when I wore my incognito clothing. I had developed a response I relied on when I wanted to change the tune of this Soviet song. “I am sorry. I am not local here, I need a bit of help understanding.” The clerk ignored me. I said nothing more until I was asked where I was from alleging by tone there couldn’t be such a dumb place anywhere around, but never, never expected my answer. I used the term “not local” precisely because it did not particularly refer to foreigners, only to folks not from the surroundings. “What do you mean, not local?”

“I’m an American. I’m from the United States.”

Shock and awe and silence. My stardom had been again resurrected. The most cordial politeness returned to Soviet saleswomanship. The four of us chatted for about an hour…almost as would old time friends.”

Comment:  There are many Marxists who come and go in the Obama adminstration.  President Obama, himself, studied Marxist, Saul Alinsky.   As we know, this president is a constant critic of things American, especially the way we do business.

Mr. Obama strongly supports BIGGER GOVERNMENT.  His ideal may not be the good old USSR, but Bigger Government usually arrives at Soviet life, sooner or later.

Who is there to oppose a Soviet system when all of the power is in the hands of the government?

University of Illinois About to Celebrate Terrorist, Bill Ayers

This is what universities are up to these days in Obamaland.  Until a son of the murdered Robert F. Kennedy protested, the University of Illinois was about to bestow high honor upon the disgusting, foul enemy of civilized mankind, Bill Ayers, a friend and colleague of president Barack Hussein Obama…..a man who to this day celebrates his criminal past.

Every American should feel shame and remorse at this Illinois digrace (among so many others committed by today’s  befouled world of academia from whence came the first anti-American president, Barack Hussein Obama).  Didn’t anyone exist within the bowls of this vast octopus, the University of Illinois, bother to even whisper  that this aberation, Ayers, was undeserving of any praise from any thinking American?

Furthermore, it should be noted that Mr. Ayers had been an evangelist for   violent Marxism, teaching teachers all he loves about his favorite enemy, America, for years.  At least he was open about his love for Marx.   He , like Oliver Stone his twin in evil entertainment, has developed quite a following, sitting in the sacred halls of backwater modern academia.

Let all civilized Americans applaud and apologize to Christopher Kennedy for this disgraceful exercise he had to perform before the esteemed phonies at the University of Illinois who allowed for American traitor, Bill Ayers, to qualify for any honors whatsoever.

The following information was picked up at MNBC this morning:

“The University of Illinois has denied 1960s radical William Ayers emeritus faculty status after trustees Chairman Christopher Kennedy noted Ayers dedicated a book to, among others, the man who killed Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy.

All nine voting trustees either opposed granting Ayers, a recently retired University of Illinois-Chicago professor, the largely honorary status or abstained from the vote.

Universities often grant emeritus status to distinguished retired faculty members. At Illinois it doesn’t come with any monetary benefits, spokesman Tom Hardy said.

Ayers co-founded the Weather Underground, an anti-war group held responsible for a series of bombings during the Vietnam War era, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol.

His past became a campaign issue during the 2008 presidential race because he once served with now-President Barack Obama on a Chicago charity’s board.

Trustees voted after a speech by Kennedy in which he noted the 1974 book “Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism,” by Ayers and other members of the Weather Underground.

The book includes a dedication to a lengthy list of revolutionary figures, musicians and others, including Sirhan Sirhan, who shot Robert Kennedy to death in 1968 after the New York senator declared victory in the California Democratic presidential primary.

Kennedy emotional
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Kennedy, who was 4 when his father was killed in 1968,  appeared emotional as he spoke out against granting the title to Ayers.

“I intend to vote against conferring the honorific title of our university to a man whose body of work includes a book dedicated in part to the man who murdered my father,” he said, the Sun-Times reported.

“There is nothing more antithetical to the hopes for a university that is lively and yet civil, or to the hopes of our founding fathers for their great experiment of a self-governing people, than to permanently seal off debate with one’s opponents by killing them,” Kennedy added.

“There can be no place in a democracy to celebrate political assassinations or to honor those who do so,” he said.

Later, Kennedy told the Sun-Times that he had not seen Ayers display any signs of remorse.

“There’s no evidence in any of his interviews or conversations that he regrets any of those actions — that’s a better question for him,” he told the paper. “He asked for this privilege. He’s not going to get it from me or that board.”

Ayers did not return an e-mail from The Associated Press seeking comment.

Trustees approved emeritus status for a number of other retirees Thursday, and Hardy said it was unusual for anyone to be turned down.”

Further comment:   I am so very sorry for the entire Kennedy clan that one of their  sons  had to be called upon  to protest honors being bestowed upon a man to be celebrated, who had celebrated the murderer of  Robert F. Kennedy, a thoroughly honorable, devoted American.
