The Media “Carrying Water for Mr. Obama!”

Below  is one of the better videos to review for its truth and clarity.  Ed Morrissey at HotAir wrote the following article.

“No, this isn’t an April Fool’s Day joke, although one could be forgiven for thinking that they’ve landed in Bizarro World in watching this interview of Michael Scheuer on CNN yesterday. Newsbusters has the whole transcript, which you will want to read in full, but one particular exchange had my head swimming — and it had nothing to do with anyone carrying water:

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/04/01/intel-analyst-to-cnn-host-youre-just-carrying-water-for-mr-obama/

                     The script:

CHETRY: But they’re very careful to say it’s the American-led West. That NATO is now fully taking over the operation.

SCHEUER: Well, that –

CHETRY: Yes, our firepower was used in the beginning, but that this is a coalition that includes Arab states.

SCHEUER: That may fool some Americans. It’s not going to fool the people who sympathize with bin Laden and other Islamists. This is really a U.S.-led operation. And you talk about Arab states that are involved — the Arab states are tyrannies that are hated by their own people. This is — this is a piece of theater set up by Mrs. Clinton and Mr. McCain and the bipartisan group that loves to intervene abroad. In the Muslim world, this is Americans killing Muslims again and it looks like it’s for oil.

CHETRY: I just want to ask. Are you trying to have both ways in saying that, OK, these are tyrannies that hate their own people, well, that’s why we’re helping because in Libya, it was the people that wanted Gadhafi out, that they were tired of it. So, weren’t we then supporting Islamic democracy, I guess you could say, in these countries where they’re tired of totalitarian rule?

SCHEUER: If we were supporting Islamic democracy, that would be one thing. But if you listen to Mrs. Clinton and especially rather crazed Ms. Rice at the U.N., this is all about democracy in a world where democracy is not going to take hold.

It should be noted that Scheuer was no fan of the war in Iraq, either, mainly for the same reasons. But Kiran Chetry’s sudden devotion to “Islamic democracy” is noteworthy, even apart from being an oxymoron. She seems to mean “Arab democracy,” but even that only makes sense if the rebels are some sort of known force for democracy of any sort — say, like the Green Revolution in Iran. No one knows who or what the Libyan rebels represent.

And on that point, there was a lot more reason to depose Saddam Hussein for “Arab democracy.” The Kurds in the north (not Arabs, of course) had already established a stable representative government, and Iraqis both inside and outside of the country had organized a government-in-exile structure that gave us a much clearer indication that democracy was a viable endgame. For all of that, I don’t recall Kiran Chetry defending the Iraq war on behalf of “Islamic democracy,” or Christine Romans, either, despite Saddam Hussein’s arguably more despotic and cruel regime and our twelve-year standoff with Baghdad under his rule.

All of this goes to Scheuer’s point about carrying water — which is probably what embarrassed Romans into terminating the interview.

Update: Fixed Newsbusters link.

I have followed Michael Scheuer when he worked for the CIA and was even then televised for his special take on Muslim matters.   Although I almost always agree with him regarding his assessments of the Muslim world’s take on American interference, I have not always agreed with his conclusions which often center around doing nothing.   I am very glad we got rid of Saddam Hussein……even though the Democrats did what they could do to sabotage the efforts.

Seldom in Politics Have Democrats Been as Rotten Anywhere as They Are in Wisconsin

Seldom over the past 50 years has any Union outside of Mafia-ridden New York City been as rotten as the Wisconsin version of the public sectors unions.
Wisconsin senators were in the minority, so they decided not to go to work for about a month and still would be hiding if  civilized people hadn’t decided enough is enough.
But then we meet a lefty judge in Wisconsin who has a son noted for his Union organizing skills.   This ‘judge’ judged the law which the majority of the Wisconsin legislature, being Republican passed.   It was signed into law by the Governor.  But the lefty Democrat judge with the Labor Union organizing son, decided to freeze the law.
And now these public sector union people with endless taxpayers’  money in their pockets are threatenign business owners and voters to vote the union way or ELSE…….Here is an article by Byron York in the Examiner to outline the corruption:
“If you own a business in southern Wisconsin, you might have received a letter from the Wisconsin State Employees Union, Council 24 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. Union leaders want you to join them in opposing Gov. Scott Walker’s budget plan, with its limits on collective bargaining for public workers. To show you’re on labor’s team, the letter asks you to display a sign in your business saying you “support workers rights.”

The letter puts you in a difficult spot. Even if you support the unions, you have some customers who don’t. Why alienate them? And if you support Walker, you have some customers who agree with the unions. Why alienate them, either? In short, the last thing you want to do is to get involved in the most contentious political issue in the state.

The people at the State Employees Union know how you feel. That’s why they’ve added a little threat to help you see things their way. Failure to display a pro-union sign, the letter says, “will leave us no choice but [to] do a public boycott of your business.” And if you want to remain neutral — well, that’s not good enough. “Sorry, neutral means ‘no’ to those who work for the largest employer in the area and are union members,” the letter says.

Weeks after Gov. Walker signed the budget bill into law, the battle over union prerogatives is not only not subsiding — it’s spreading to new fronts. There are the recall efforts going on in which Democrats and Republicans are each targeting the other party’s state senators. There is a court battle over whether the new law can be implemented. There is a campaign for the state supreme court that has become an extension of the union fight. And now there is the intimidation campaign — join us or else — aimed at business owners.

“We’re in uncharted territory here,” says Republican Sen. Leah Vukmir. “We’ve never seen anything like it.”

So far, Democrats seem to have the edge. In the recall campaigns, the unions appear to have gathered more signatures on petitions to recall the Republicans who passed the budget bill than the Tea Party has collected to recall Democratic lawmakers who fled the state in an attempt to bring the legislature to a halt.

“They are far more organized, and they understand that the stakes are incredibly high,” says Vukmir of the union campaign. “What happens in Wisconsin will have a dramatic effect on what happens in other states and the country.” (Vukmir herself is not facing recall because she was just elected last November and the law doesn’t allow recalls of newly elected lawmakers.)

There’s another fight going on, this one in court, where a county circuit judge has ordered the state not to implement the new budget law while she considers a challenge filed by a local district attorney. On Thursday Walker announced he will abide by the judge’s ruling, even though top Republican lawmakers believe the judge does not have the authority to set aside the law. At some point it’s all going to end up with the state supreme court.

Which brings up the most intense battle going on at the moment. On Tuesday, voters will go to the polls to elect a supreme court justice. The choice in the “nonpartisan” contest is between incumbent David Prosser, a conservative who has served on the court for 13 years, and challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg, a liberal who has made clear that if elected she will vote to strike down the new budget law. If Kloppenburg wins, the pro-union faction will have a 4-to-3 majority on the court. In other words, the outcome of this single judicial election could well determine the fate of the budget law.

So it’s no surprise that unions and other outside groups are spending big money to defeat Prosser. And just as in the recall fights, Republicans have been slow to get going. But now, just days before the voting, they’ve realized that everything is on the line. “If we lose this race,” says Vukmir, “every piece of legislation that the legislature [passes] and the governor signs into law will be challenged and turned over in the courts.”

Now, add in the new union intimidation campaign directed against businesses in the state. The Republican victory in the legislature didn’t settle anything. It just opened up some ugly new fronts in the Battle of Wisconsin.

Democracy is Doomed When Enough People, Living and Dead, are on Government Payroll

“Are We Doomed?” John Hinderaker at PowerLine asks in a headline to this article:

“I grew up in a farm state, South Dakota, and still recall a joke that was then popular. It grew out of the fact that the number of farmers in the U.S. was constantly declining, while at the same time the Department of Agriculture was steadily growing. So here is the joke: A guy at the Department of Agriculture is going past a cubicle and he sees one of his colleagues sitting at his desk, crying. He wonders what is wrong and stops to ask his colleague what has happened. The guy looks up and, through his tears, says: “My farmer died.”

That same phenomenon has now spread throughout the economy. Government workers are everywhere proliferating, even as private sector employment flags. In today’s Wall Street Journal, Stephen Moore notes this astonishing fact:

Today in America there are nearly twice as many people working for the government (22.5 million) than in all of manufacturing (11.5 million). This is an almost exact reversal of the situation in 1960, when there were 15 million workers in manufacturing and 8.7 million collecting a paycheck from the government.

It gets worse. More Americans work for the government than work in construction, farming, fishing, forestry, manufacturing, mining and utilities combined.

To borrow an analogy from biology, if the parasites overwhelm the host, it is catastrophic for both the host and the parasites. (Which is why viruses aren’t really trying to kill you, at least not quickly.) That analogy may be unfair; certainly not all government workers are parasites. Let’s try this one: if the cowboy gets bigger than the horse, both the horse and the cowboy are in trouble.

There are many reasons for pessimism these days, but first on the list is the prospect that the growth of the public sector at the expense of the private may have become irreversible.”

I answer the question  with this comment:   As long as Barack Hussein Obama and leftists like him who have no feel, no understanding, and no education about the country in which  they live and are   supposed to lead, WE ARE INDEED LOST.

Unless, of course, one is interested in a Marxist dictatorship  in which most chapters of our lives are determined by government decree……in order to make us all more equal.

We now live in a post-Christian society in which the moral is considered a hinderance to human freedom.  When a conservative even a flabby one like Lou Dobbs cannot see the immorality of the Obama -  Jeffrey Immelt, head of General Electric liaison which includes quid-pro-quo benefits, our skies are getting pretty dark.

Look at what is happening in Wisconsin where the Union thugs and a bought judge  are acting like Nazis with a John Gotti twist to keep the legislative process from  performing their legal duties because the majority isn’t to Union liking.

With the descending of Christian civility, America is in freefall………..It doesn’t look good on any front, especially when sees its men so emasculated by Liberal politics and education.    We are all women, now.  When Americans look to government as  husband eventually they will never vote out the autocrat who signs their payroll checks.  It is only a matter of time and numbers.    The Marxist-Democrats are counting on that already.

As Dennis Prager reminds us all…..”The Bigger the Government; the Smaller the Citizen”.

Do Wisconsin Union Teachers Also Have the Right to Kill Republicans?

What about other Unionized Teachers, let’s say those in New Jersey.    Do they have a right to threaten the death or hope to cause the death of Republicans? ……apparently yes.

In New Jersey it turned out this way:

http://hotair.com/archives/2010/11/20/awesome-chris-christie-tells-of-apology-from-president-of-teachers-union/er-in-wi-e-mail-death-threats/

In Wisconsin we do not know the result  yet. thus far, it has turned out this way:

http://hotair.com/archives/2011/04/01/felony-charges-filed-against-teach

The Teacher Union thugs in Wisconsin have threatened to boycott Wisconsin businesses if these enterprises don’t fund and advertize the election of Union-bought Democrat, JoAnn Kloppenburg    to the Wisconsin Supreme Court this coming Tuesday, April 5.

You can help defeat these enemies of our schools, our neighborhoods, and keep the corrupt and dishonest in our courts away from destoying the good in American life.     Please read the following piece by Scott W. Johnson at PowerLine:

“Support John Prosser!!

Yesterday at noon National Review posted a good editorial on the next front in the battle of Wisconsin: the election pitting incumbent Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser against Joanne Kloppenburg. Kloppenburg has all but vowed to toe the union line on the budget repair bill if she makes it to the court. Her campaign is inimical to the rule of law, and the larger campaign supporting her is, as the NR editorial makes out, a disgusting exercise in vilification and dishonesty.

Justice Prosser has accepted public financing for his campaign and therefore cannot accept contributions. The NR editorial advises: “[Y]ou can help his campaign by helping the Wisconsin Club for Growth (donate here) or donating to Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (donate online here; fax donation form here).”

NR’s editorial omits the date of the election. It’s next Tuesday, April 5. I don’t know how late contributions can be made and still have an impact on the race, but today would seem to be the latest.

UPDATE: John Nolte has much more on the union thuggery on behalf of Kloppenburg.

Send Congress and Obama the Message…. Shut the Government Down!!

Rasmussen: 57% prefer gov’t shutdown

to current  levels of spending

 by Ed Morrissey   at HotAir

Earlier in the week, Howard Dean told an audience that Democrats should be rooting for a government shutdown rather than agree to budget cuts, because voter anger would punish Republicans.  That may have been true in 1995, but as Rasmussen discovered it its latest polling, the political and fiscal environment in 2011 is far different.  A strong majority of respondents prefer a shutdown if Congress refuses to cut spending deeply enough:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters think making deeper spending cuts in the federal budget for 2011 is more important than avoiding a partial government shutdown. Thirty-one percent (31%) disagree and say avoiding a shutdown is more important. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Here is the exact wording of the question: “What is more important: avoiding a partial government shutdown or making deeper cuts in government spending?”  The wording actually assumes that cuts in government spending have already been secured, which means that the response keys off of whether those cuts went far enough.  Only 31% agree with Chuck Schumer (ow whoever writes his flashcards) that seeking further cuts is an “extreme” position.

Nor does the news get any better from there for Democrats.  When asked whether it would be better to avoid a government shutdown by compromising at the level of cuts proposed by Democrats, only 36% agreed.  The same majority of 57% said it would be better to proceed with the partial government shutdown rather than settle for the smaller figure.

The internals won’t comfort Democrats, either.  On the last question, only 69% of their own party supports their cuts, while a little more than a quarter would prefer a shutdown (27%).  Republicans and independents are almost identical in their rejection of Democratic proposals on budget cuts (15/74 and 24/70, respectively).  The shutdown option has a majority in every age demographic, even 18-29YOs at 34/50.  It also wins every income demographic, including the under-$20K group (38/50), and gets more than 2-1 support from those making $40-60K (25/64). None of these are even particularly close, so even if one is inclined to treat Rasmussen a little skeptically, the pattern is still clear.

Dean thinks that holding out for no cuts at all except those already in the CRs will win a class-warfare battle.  If he convinces his party of that strategy, they can kiss the 2012 elections good-bye.”

Charles Krauthammer on Hillary Clinton’s “Incomprehensible!”

“Hillary Clinton’s Syrian “Reformer” is the title of the Washington Post article found at RealClearPolitics:

“— Hillary Clinton on Bashar al-Assad, March 27

Few things said by this administration in its two years can match this one for moral bankruptcy and strategic incomprehensibility.

First, it’s demonstrably false. It was hoped that President Assad would be a reformer when he inherited his father’s dictatorship a decade ago. Being a London-educated eye doctor, he received the full Yuri Andropov treatment — the assumption that having been exposed to Western ways, he’d been Westernized. Wrong. Assad has run the same iron-fisted Alawite police state as did his father.

Bashar made promises of reform during the short-lived Arab Spring of 2005. The promises were broken. During the current brutally suppressed protests, his spokeswoman made renewed promises of reform. Then Wednesday, appearing before parliament, Assad was shockingly defiant. He offered no concessions. None.

Second, Clinton’s statement is morally obtuse. Here are people demonstrating against a dictatorship that repeatedly uses live fire on its own people, a regime that in 1982 killed 20,000 in Hama and then paved the dead over. Here are insanely courageous people demanding reform — and the U.S. secretary of state tells the world that the thug ordering the shooting of innocents already is a reformer, thus effectively endorsing the Baath party line — “We are all reformers,” Assad told parliament — and undermining the demonstrators’ cause.

Third, it’s strategically incomprehensible. Sometimes you cover for a repressive ally because you need it for U.S. national security. Hence our muted words about Bahrain. Hence our slow response on Egypt. But there are rare times when strategic interest and moral imperative coincide completely. Syria is one such — a monstrous police state whose regime consistently works to thwart U.S. interests in the region.

During the worst days of the Iraq war, this regime funneled terrorists into Iraq to fight U.S. troops and Iraqi allies. It is dripping with Lebanese blood as well, being behind the murder of independent journalists and democrats, including former prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri. This year, it helped topple the pro-Western government of Hariri’s son, Saad, and put Lebanon under the thumb of the virulently anti-Western Hezbollah. Syria is a partner in nuclear proliferation with North Korea. It is Iran’s agent and closest Arab ally, granting it an outlet on the Mediterranean. Those two Iranian warships that went through the Suez Canal in February docked at the Syrian port of Latakia, a long-sought Iranian penetration of the Mediterranean.

Yet here was the secretary of state covering for the Syrian dictator against his own opposition. And it doesn’t help that Clinton tried to walk it back two days later by saying she was simply quoting others. Rubbish. Of the myriad opinions of Assad, she chose to cite precisely one: reformer. That’s an endorsement, no matter how much she later pretends otherwise.

And it’s not just the words; it’s the policy behind it. This delicacy toward Assad is dismayingly reminiscent of President Obama’s response to the 2009 Iranian uprising during which he was scandalously reluctant to support the demonstrators, while repeatedly reaffirming the legitimacy of the brutal theocracy suppressing them.

Why? Because Obama wanted to remain “engaged” with the mullahs — so that he could talk them out of their nuclear weapons. We know how that went.

The same conceit animates his Syria policy — keep good relations with the regime so that Obama can sweet-talk it out of its alliance with Iran and sponsorship of Hezbollah.

Another abject failure. Syria has contemptuously rejected Obama’s blandishments — obsequious visits from Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry and the return of the first U.S. ambassador to Damascus  since the killing of Hariri. Assad’s response? An even tighter and more ostentatious alliance with Hezbollah and Iran.

Our ambassador in Damascus should demand to meet the demonstrators and visit the wounded. If refused, he should be recalled to Washington. And rather than “deplore the crackdown,” as did Clinton in her walk-back, we should be denouncing it in forceful language and every available forum, including the U.N. Security Council.

No one is asking for a Libya-style rescue. Just simple truth-telling. If Kerry wants to make a fool of himself by continuing to insist that Assad is an agent of change, well, it’s a free country. But Clinton speaks for the nation.

Comment:   It could be if such things could be easily tallied, that Hillary Rodham Clinton is equal to Barack Hussein Obama as a liar.   Whe dame Clinton speaks she speaks her lies harshly, abruptly, as if  she is not certain she wishes to say them in ways folks might recognize that they are lies.

I still remember the time she claimed ‘religiously’ that she was dodging bullets while receiving a bouquet of flowers from some children some place south of the border or in troubled Europe.   Her voice is so piercing and shrill.   When she lies, her noise is not likely to be unremembered, for it much pierces.

Where Obamalies are so fluid off of his baritone.   One hardly every notices one series of untruths from another, so they progress unceasingly.    I remember early in his campaign against Hillary, he, in one paragraph, perhaps in one  very long sentence announced he was against gay marriage………………yah-dah-yah-day……but then they  had a ‘natural’ right to marry.

He even either lied about the number of states of the 57 United States, or had live too long in Kenya and Indonesia to know the difference.

And then there is Obama’s 22 year relationship with his ‘father figure’, Jeremiah “Goddamn America” Wright, a man he loved and respected, but Obama-claim said he hadn’t a clue Mr. Wright could be saying such awful things about America…….

Hillary’s father figure was her father, an honest respectable, devoted Republican from non-Chicago Illinois.

Obama’s lies are so smooth and so frequent, he must have been born to lie.   Hillary had to learn them, and  did so at Yale, with  Billy (another born-to-lie liar, don’t you agree from his television performances, one in particular?    Billy, unlike Baracky, said them with a glint of the eye and smile of the face.

Single ladies love liars as one can surmise from these three prime examples of such expressions.

The Maturing of the English Defence League

As in America there is a civil war going on for the future of liberty in the United Kingdom.   The battle sides are strictly drawn……the Marxists which include nearly the entire British establishment and their allies of the last ten years, the fanatic racist militant Islamists on one side against any and all groups which might poke a head out of the crowd to express a question or two about the rise of Islamic power in destroying  anything and everything “Old England”.

Here in the good old USA, the sides are the same…..The fanatic Islamists join the Marxists or  their sympathizers, Michael Bloomberg, Obama-Holder-Van Jones types-Black Panthers-Nancy Pelosi-Charlie Schumer-Anthony Wiener- Gerry Nadler-Michael Moore- militant Government Sector Union thugs-New York Times, Washington Post, National Public Radio, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and so on and so on.

Unlike America England has been sinking in the mires of Marxism and Sharia Islam for years……English traditions have been censored by its Leftwing establishment to cow to the threats of Islamist thugs, money, and alliances with the English Leftwing.     The UK establishment, both Left and Right, Labor and Conservative has been bought by the Sharia-loving invaders and their thuggish allies.

The Left is essentially the same Left whereever Western college  ‘educated’ are trained and feminized in the social sciences, racist trainings such as black studies-latino studies, Indian studies, and political studies and similar gossip learnings sharings  by the Marxist ideological staffs.

I found the following pronouncement at the main web page of the English Defence League, the main object of  militant Islamist hate and Marxist-socialist-Labor hate in the United Kingdom…….an organization which was ‘born’ a bit over a year and a half ago, as I have been able to discern.

It appears that this “EDL”  group started from the general malaise felt by the kind of  thoughts and worries we more traditional Americans have sensed as we see our once great USA deteriorate into sewage of culture, politics….nearly all of it Leftwing….rewriting of history…by the Left…..religion taught by the Marxists at universities…..the language….essentially the entire moral fabric of the culture.

As Dennis Prager expresses the pain, “We live in a time where up is down, good is bad, truth is false.”

In America the expression stirred the beginnings of the Tea Party, a rebellion of thought and inquiry from older middle class, Middle America type people…..civilized people who, despite the lies and propaganda of the above Marxist trained groups, who conducted their political business admirably…..exemplary conduct to set the tone of their arguments.

In Britain the expression, in my observation, originally came from the streets and it was a guys movement…..not just guys, but young guys….many of the unemployed, I think.   Their language was the lingo of the street and culturally from the drink of parochial football rowdies as well.

Until just less than a year ago when a guy named Stephen Lennon began to show up on the streets and in some rooms.

A year ago the  Guardian, the major Marxist – Labor  sheet of the UK  published this video to describe the EDL:

Click here for a view:  http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/video/2010/may/28/english-defence-league-uncovered

This video has become  the standard by which the UK  government and cultural establishments still view and describe the EDL.     Yet, the EDL has grown from groups of the angry young Englishmen and the language that goes with them, to a force of allegedly around 100,000 followers and/or sympathizers.   In one recent survey in London one-half of those surveyed would vote for “the right wing organization” if it would free itself from its houligan past”.

The UK establishment is still so well established it has, by dogma, habit or blindness, propagandized  the Tommy Robinson-led English Defence League as merely a bigger gang of football loving white male racists…….

(It is interesting how the European and  American Marxists so happily, quickly and incessantly use such words to describe political opponents.   Here in America the Democrat Party uses them as often in public as they drink their beer or morning coffee.    (Woops, the American Left no longer drinks beer, I am told.  It is so Sarah Palin!   And the more chic Marxists are still into lattes.)

This following video is from a demonstration led by Tommy Robinson (Stephen Lennon) at Luton, Robinsons’ home town.    What the Lefties at the Guardian don’t tell you is that whereever Robinson goes, the Marxist Leftwing organization of  thugs, “Unite Against Fascism”,  organize violence against the EDL to sustain the claim the group is  fascist.   Islamist money is readily available.   In some communities the police will not permit the EDL from holding rallies because it does not have the funds to protect the community from the possible violence……..caused by the UAF against the EDL especially when Tommy Robinson is the principal speaker:

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSyw0tpVGN4
I found the following article at the English Defence League’s home page.   It is one of many which carry  sentiments of the English Defence League now led by Tommy Robinson:

”There is an unholy trinity that has come together to bring about what Palestinians shout at their demonstrations ‘From the River to Sea, Palestine will be free!’ It is a tripod of hate from the intellecutally bankrupt Left-wing communists and right-wing fascists and Nazis, supported by Islamists. From the River to the Jordan to the Mediterranean sea Palestine will be established at the expense of the state of Israel. Yet there has never been a state of Palestine, there has never been an Arabic nation based in Palestine, it was invaded in the 7th and 8th Centuries by Arab Islamists seeking to spread their evil ideology to the world. Arabs were offered 80% of the British Palestine Mandate known as Trans-Jordan, but they rejected it. They wanted it all. Ever since, Muslims everywhere have sought and fought to bring about the destruction of the Jewish state.

63 years ago, the dream of Jews around the world came into being. The formation of a homeland for the Jews in their historic and geographic land of origin. Yet despite the size of this nascent nation being insignificant, it was enough for the Islamist Arabs to describe the event as the Nakba – the catastrophe. They launched a frenzied military attack on the new nation and despite the overwhelming superiority in arms, they were thrown back. The State of Israel was born and survived its traumatic birthing.

Despite the efforts of the Islamists and the Political far-left and right to denigrate, demonise and delegitimise the state of Israel, it still remains a free, democratic society in which freedom of thought, religion and politics is still practiced. Despite the lies of being called an apartheid state, Arabs and other non-Jewish Israeli citizens are afforded equality before the law and are given equal access to jobs, education and welfare. Muslims, people sworn to uphold the commands of their prophet and of their amoral book to destroy Israel and the Jews, even sit in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. The rabid desire of the anti-semitic far-left and far-right to see the end of Israel and the dispersal of the Jews from their homeland again, leads them to produce a constant diatribe of outlandish lies, untruths and fabrications that goes far beyond what is normal for a sane, rational human being.

Yet in that 63 years Israel, despite the festering hatred and envy of the Islamists and their allies in the West, has continued to turn the desert it was given into a vibrant, green and productive land. Compare this to the output of the Islamist states around it. Compare the output of Islamic intellectuals to those of the Jews. The Jews have since the inception of the Nobel prizes for intellectual endeavours racked up 181 Nobel prizes, representing 22% of all the prizes awarded. They have been awarded in many different fields from Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Literature, Peace and Economics. They have sought to advance human knowledge and benefit humanity as a whole. The Jews as a race world-wide represent 0.2% of the worlds population. Now compare that to the Muslim population of 1.5 billion people or 20% of the world’s entire population. Yet with this huge pool of people to draw upon, Muslims can only muster a little over 6 Nobel prizes. It was a Jew who invented a vaccine against Polio, whilst it was Yassar Arafat who deliberately destroyed any chance of peace and a two-state solution by rejecting the Oslo Peace Accord and was awarded a Nobel Peace prize for doing so. This same Yassar Arafat who in English espoused peace, but in Arabic to his Muslim friends and supporters spoke of annihilating Israel and the Jews.

The Far-Right hate Jews without reason or foundation. The Left hate the Jews because the intellectuals see through the lies of the Left, the Jews are successful in nearly every endevour which compounds the hatred against them.

Before the Jews took back control of their land in Israel, the Arab Islamists had been in control. All that was there was largely useless desert. The few Arabs who lived in the Palestine Mandate did little to make it a better place. Yet within a few short years of Israel’s return, the desert began to bloom. Kibbutzim were set up and orange groves, farms and fruit farms were established. The land was made to be fruitful again. Cities such Tel-Aviv which before had been no more than small dusty towns were turned into modern bustling metropolises that could rival anything that Europe or America could offer.

Yet despite all of these things, the democratic state, equality before the law, the intellectual, economic and scientific contribution to the world. The right and the left in politics have sought to demonise and delegitimise Israel and Jews. The Islamists out of pure blind hatred inspired by islamic scripture and Nazi propaganda continues its efforts to carry on where Hitler left off. Indeed Hitler was such a great admirer of the Islamic stance on the destruction of Jews that he invited the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem to Germany to broadcast his vile anti-semitic hatred of Jews to all of Europe. The Islamists in turn loved Nazism and Hitler and have tried ever since to carry on. Indeed, the number one best selling book after the Koran in the Middle East is Mein Kampf. I think there is a scene in George Orwell’s book Animal Farm, in which at the end of the story, one of the characters looks in to the farmhouse where the Pigs – the ruling class, are having celebrations with men for a deal they have signed, and he looks from one to the other, from pig to man and back again, and sees no difference. So it is with the Islamists and the political classes of the Left and Right. They are the same side of the same coin, just that the edges have become blurred over the years from over-use.

David Horowitz, editor of FrontPage Magazine, when trying to give a lecture at USCD was questioned by a Muslimah. Mr Horowitz asked the mentally challenged Muslimah whether she supported the genocide of Jews by Hamas , she refused to answer on the grounds that she would incrimiate herself. The far-left and the far-right support this position as well. They too cannot abide Jews or Israel and work with the Islamists to bring about the destructions of all Jews.

In every sphere of endeavour, Jews are successful. In every sphere but one, Islam is a failure. The moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the Communists and the Nazis only puts them to shame when held up to the mirror of truth and reason. Jews have fought along side us against tyranny and the evils of Communism and Fascism. Islamists have sided with the Communists and Fascists.

So, when you see the flag of Israel flying amongt the crosses of St. George at an EDL protest, know that it is because we, the EDL, stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters. Know that we stand with them for reason, for the rule of law, of human rights and the rights of the indiviudal. We stand with them because they stand with us. They have stood with us over the centuries to fight evil and the heavy hand of tyranny. They have helped to maintain civilisation in the face of the evils of Communism, Fascims, Nazism and Islamism. The flag of Israel, with the flag of St George represents a light in the all-pervading hatred of all that thas is good and civilised. Don’t be fooled by the lies of the left, there is no ‘Elders of Zion’ conspiracy for world domination by Jews. Judaism by it’s nature is not an evangelising religion. Don’t be fooled by the fascists that the world banking system is controlled by Jews. Just remember that if there are a number of Jews in banking, it’s because Christians in the middle-ages put them there. Christians, when they followed their faith, could not involve themselves in banking (something about charging interest…sound familiar) so they needed people who could do the dirty work. Don’t be niggled by the ‘Nazis’ who fear Jews.

Stand with EDL and stand with Israel and ignore the anti-semites who would like to see the genocide of the Jews.”

Robinson insists the EDL is merely a street movement to arouse the British population to the destructive divisiveness of Sharia Islam being forced upon his English countryside from Arab oil money.     “All religions are in harmony in England except Islam”. he explains.

Do you want to bet  that Tommy Robinson  is right?

The Courage of Geert Wilders Rises Again with a New Fitna!

Geert Wilders, the leader of the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, is planning to release a sequel to his movie Fitna next year. The PVV just posted this notice:

Geert Wilders to Launch Fitna 2 in 2012

In 2008, Dutch MP Geert Wilders released the 17-minute documentary Fitna, which demonstrates how the Koran encourages acts of terrorism, anti-Semitism, violence against women, homosexuals and infidels.

Today, Mr. Wilders announced that next year he will release Fitna 2. The topic of this new documentary will be the figure of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Mr. Wilders wants to expose the barbaric, murderous behaviour and mental sanity of Muhammad, the man whom one and a half billion Muslims around the world regard as a holy prophet and example to be followed.

With his movie Mr. Wilders wants to express his support for the brave men and women who have left Islam and who, according to Islamic law, deserve the death penalty. “These people are heroes. They deserve our support,” Mr. Wilders says.

Earlier this week, Mr. Wilders wrote an op-ed article in which he argued that it is “Time to Unmask Muhammad.”

Below is a more detailed article from Nieuws.nl. Many thanks to our Dutch correspondent H. Numan for the translation:

Fitna 2 ready next year

(Novum) — The sequel for the anti-Islam move Fitna by Geert Wilders should be ready by next year. The movie will mainly highlight ‘the barbaric life of the sick mind called Mohammed’, the PVV leader announced on Friday. He stressed it was certainly not an April Fools’ joke.

The PVV leader has been busy preparing this movie for a long time. The first viewing was postponed several times. In April 2009 Wilders expected the movie to be finished within a year. Last year in March he said the movie Fitna 2 wouldn’t be ready before the elections, due to the fall of the cabinet.

The second Wilders production will show what in his view are the consequences of ‘mass migration’ from Muslim countries. Wilders earlier said the movie, which will be made with the assistance of American professionals, will be much harsher than his first production.

Wilders ranted against the prophet Mohammed during the last few weeks. According to the politician, he suffered from a brain tumor and because of that tumor, hallucinated. He wrote as much in HP/De Tijd magazine.

Fitna appeared in March 2008 on the Internet. The 26-minute movie was a collection of news and movie clips about, amongst others, the terrorist attacks on 11 September in New York and in March 2004 in Madrid. The clips were shown with quotes from the Koran. The movie, which was a bad amateur effort according to some, caused a lot of media attention.

Fat Cat Donations are Lefty Fat Cats Despite Mass Media Propaganda

from John Hinderaker at PowerLine in an article, “Anatomy of a Smear Part II”

I wrote here about the sinister symbiosis between contemptible left-wing web sites and the supposedly respectable liberal press. The specific subject of the post, titled Anatomy of a Smear, was the left’s attacks on Congressman Mike Pompeo, a former soldier who ranked first in his class at West Point and was an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and who, after a successful career as an entrepreneur, now represents Kansas’s 4th Congressional District. The 4th District includes Wichita, the home of Koch Industries, and more than 2,000 Koch employees are constituents of Congressman Pompeo. The whole post bears re-reading; this was the concluding paragraph:

The disgusting morass of left-wing blogs, funded by far-left billionaires like George Soros, spew up an endless stream of slimy attacks on mainstream citizens, like Charles and David Koch, and mainstream politicians, like Mike Pompeo. Democratic Party outlets that are generally presumed to be more respectable, like the New York Times and the Washington Post, watch the dirt flow by and periodically, when they see something promising, pluck it out of the swamp and take it mainstream in order to benefit their party. The Post isn’t as bad as some–I have referred to it as the most respectable voice of the Democratic Party–but when it follows this disgusting practice, plucking out the vilest unsubstantiated smear and promoting it for purely partisan purposes, it is hard to distinguish the Post from the most disreputable far-left rags, like Think Progress and the New York Times.

My reference to the Times was prescient. It took that paper a little longer, but its editorialists have now taken up the banner that was first raised by the wacky Soros-funded site Think Progress. Yesterday, the Times attacked Congressman Pompeo:

[F]reshman Mike Pompeo of Kansas [is] dubbed the Congressman from Koch for championing the conservative agenda of the billionaire Koch brothers, Charles and David.

Pompeo was “dubbed the Congressman from Koch” by Think Progress and other far left web sites. He does indeed “champion [a] conservative agenda,” but it is the conservative agenda of his Kansas constituents. In 2010, he clobbered a Democratic nominee who raised a lot of money from left-wing sources. The Democrat was a former employee of the American Civil Liberties Union and was also a “senior policy analyst” for none other than the Center for American Progress, which owns Think Progress, the web site that spawned the smear that the New York Times now repeats. How is that for liberal incest? It should be noted, too, that Pompeo’s victory was not exactly an upset.

They contributed handsomely — $80,000 worth — to Mr. Pompeo’s campaign kitty.

Here, the Times outright lies, going beyond the smear that was originally perpetrated by Think Progress. Charles and David Koch did not contribute $80,000 to Pompeo’s campaign; I am not sure whether they contributed at all. The $80,000 came from Koch Industries’ PAC, KochPAC, and from all 2,000+ Koch employees who live in Pompeo’s district. Koch Industries and its employees, like a large majority of American companies and a large majority of Americans, benefit from pro-free enterprise policies. Is it any surprise that they would support a candidate who advocates for free enterprise? Does the Times somehow see that as illegitimate? Well, yes, actually it does. The Times thinks political participation is OK only when it supports the left wing of the Democratic Party.

Mr. Pompeo said he ran for Congress because as a businessman (whose business included some Koch investment money) he saw “how government can crush entrepreneurism.”

This is straight from Think Progress. In fact, Pompeo started a business in which Koch Venture Capital–an obvious place to go for investment money if you live in Wichita–contributed less than two percent of the company’s capital. The Times editorialists have absolutely no idea what role Koch Venture Capital played in getting Pompeo’s aerospace company off the ground; they are just channeling their cronies at Think Progress. The Times continues:

His contributions to the House Republicans’ budget-slashing legislation included two top priorities of Koch Industries: killing off funds for the Obama administration’s new database for consumer complaints about unsafe products and for a registry of greenhouse gas polluters at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Once again, the Times has no idea what it is talking about. Here, it is merely quoting the Washington Post article that I savaged in Anatomy of a Smear. Here is what I wrote there:

It is interesting that Eggen links to no source for his claim that “[b]oth have been listed as top legislative priorities for Koch Industries.” If they were listed, he must have a source. What is it? Koch’s corporate spokeswoman said, “please be advised that ‘eliminating funding for a database of consumer complaints about unsafe products and for an Environmental Protection Agency registry of greenhouse-gas polluters’ was not a top legislative priority of Koch Industries.” If Eggen has some evidence to the contrary, what is it?

Eggen couldn’t answer the question; neither, needless to say, can the Times. The New York Times editorialists represent the lowest form of journalism: not only are their editorials unsubstantiated smears, they border on being plagiarized unsubstantiated smears. That is about as low as you can go.

Of course, there is a broader point here: the alleged evil of money in politics.

Mr. Pompeo represents an early warning of the shape of things to come when the Supreme Court’s misguided decision to legalize unfettered corporate campaign donations fully kicks in next year.

Interestingly, after devoting its editorial exclusively to smearing Mike Pompeo and one other Republican Congressman, the Times turns bipartisan for a single sentence:

The Koch brothers are planning to spend tens of millions in the 2012 campaign, as are Democratic power brokers and unions.

Let’s pause for a moment on those “Democratic power brokers and unions.” The truth is that if the Times is unhappy with big money in politics, it is barking up the wrong tree. The Republicans are the grassroots party; it is the Times’s own Democratic Party that is the beneficiary of the vast majority of fat cat donations. This is from my post Who Are the Demons Here?

Donors00681.jpg

You have to get down to number 19 before you find a big-time donor that gives significantly more to Republicans than Democrats. And the Koch brothers are not even on the radar screen.

The New York Times represents a new low in American journalism, especially in its editorials. The paper isn’t even original–it gets its content from slimy, billionaire-funded, radical web sites. It doesn’t fact check, it just repeats smears–and in some cases, it baselessly amplifies them. Its parroting of those smears is so slavish that it is close to plagiarism. If there is a news outlet less worthy of respect, I can’t think what it would be.
