Hollywood ‘Star’ Marxist, Belafonte, to be Advertised by HBO

Never know to must much thought beyond the mouth, Harry Belafonte, noted Hollywood Communist will be celebrated by HBO in an upcoming  “documentary”  Hollywood style.   The raspy minded and voiced political mosquito  is highly prized by these, the moneyed antiAmerican Left.

The following article, picked up at Washington Post Entertainment,  was sent in from California Cole.

“Singer Harry Belafonte, subject of an upcoming HBO documentary about his political activism, was asked what he would say to the White House and Congress about the gamesmanship in which they are engaged over the national debt.

“My question would be, to Congress and the president: What happened to moral truth? What happened to moral courage?” Belafonte said.

He’d also like to tell them: “Politics without moral purpose, really more often than not, winds up as tyranny.”

“Barack Obama and his mission has failed because it lacked a certain kind of moral courage, a kind of moral vision . . . a kind of courage we are in need of,” said the King of Calypso.

“When he said ‘Yes, we can,’ it was politically clever, but he never defined what it is we can do. So we filled in those spaces — what we thought he meant — only to find we were disappointed because none of these points was satisfied.”

Further comment:   I find I vigorously agree with mosquito Harry that the president, Mr. Obama lacks a certain kind of moral courage and vision to be president.   He has no form beyond his Marxism and lacks the honesty to be truthful about his passion for this government tyranny running citizen lives.

Harry sings the songs of Marxism in his politics, but only as a force to control others’ opinions and beliefs in order to elevate his own.

Peggy Noonan: NOBODY LOVES OBAMA!

From an article by Peggy Noonas in today’s Wall Street Journal:

“I want to talk about something that started bo become apparent to me during the debt negotiations.   It’s something I’ve never seen in national politics.

It is that nobody loves Obama.   This is amazing because everhy president has people who love him, who feel deep personal affection or connection, who have a stubborn, even beautiful refusal to let what they know are just criticisms affect their feelings or regard.  At the height of Bil Clinton’s troubles there were always people who’d say, “Look, I love the guy.”  they’d often be smiling – a wry smile, a shrugging smile.  Nobody smiles  when they talk about Mr. Obama.  There were people who loved George W. Bush when he was at his most unpopular, and they meant it and would say it.  But people aren’t that way about Mr. Obsama.  He has supporters and bundlers and contributiors, he has voters, he may win.

But his support is grim support.  And surely this has implications.

Here are the words of a harline progressive and wise veteran of the political wars:  “I never loved Barack Obama.  That said, among my crowd who did ‘love’ him, I can’t think of anyone who still does.”

………Why is Mr. Obama different from Messrs. Clinton and Bush?  “Clinton radiated personality.  As angry as folks got with him about Nafta or Monica, there was always a sense of genuine, generous caring.”  With Bush, “if folks were upset with him, he still had this goofy kind of personality that folks could relate to.  You might think he was totally misguided but he seemed genuinely so…….Maybe the most important word that described Clinton and Bush, but not Obama, is ‘genuine'”.  He  “doesn’t exude any feeling that what he says and does is genuine.”

…..The fact is, he’s (Obama) good at dismantling.  He’s good at criticizing.  He’s good at not being the last guy, the one you didn’t like.  But he’s not good at building, creating, calling into being.  He was good at summoning….

And so his failures in the debt ceiling fight.  He wasn’t serious, he was only shrewd-and shrewdness wasn’t enough.  He demagogued the issue – no Social Security checks-until he was called out, and then went on the hustings spouting inanities. ….”

Comment:   I wonder why Ms. Noonan was so blinded by Obama throughout his  campaigns against Hillary Clinton and John McCain.   Had she not looked into his background…..his lack of anything that suggested he might be a worthy man in the White House?   Did it not worry her then that he had no friends….no one from his past who verified his honesty, character, and loyalty…..this Barack Hussein Obama?

His disdain for America was in full gear then.   He belonged to the Jeremiah “Goddamn America Wright’s parish in Chicago for 22 years.   There was his shadowy record in the Senate chambers of his Illinois.

THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN HIS BACKGROUND THEN TO SUGGEST HE HAD ANY VALUE AT ALL TO BECOME PRESIDENT.  He wore neat suits, pronounced his words clearly except when in American black crowds, and repeated  the word HOPE…….frequently ad nauseum.

America deserved what it got for president in 2008, a petty, friendless, dogmatic, angry antiAmerican Marxist.

Endemic Voter Fraud in American Black Communities?

from the Daily Caller:

“While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme.

In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee.

Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts, but Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster permitted Sowers to serve those terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times, the only media outlet to cover the sentencing.

“This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said.

Sowers was found guilty of voting in the names of Carrie Collins, Walter Howard, Sheena Shelton, Alberta Pickett, Draper Cotton and Eddie Davis. She was also convicted of voting in the names of four dead persons: James L. Young, Dora Price, Dorothy Harris, and David Ross.

In the trial, forensic scientist Bo Scales testified that Sowers’s DNA was found on the inner seals of five envelopes containing absentee ballots.

This wasn’t Sowers’s first run-in with the law. Sowers previously had her probation revoked for disturbing the peace at a junior high school library, the Commercial Appeal of Memphis reported in 1990. During a hearing at that time, Sowers played the race card. She claimed to be the victim of “an attempt by powerful whites to silence” her, the newspaper reported. It didn’t work. She was ordered back to prison to complete the remaining two years of a three-year sentence she received for check forgery.

The NAACP has had other problems with voter fraud. The NAACP National Voter Fund registered a dead man to vote in Lake County, Ohio, in 2004. That same year, out of 325 voter registration cards filed by the NAACP in Cleveland, 48 were flagged as fraudulent.

But the NAACP’s voter fraud record doesn’t approach that of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. At least 54 individuals employed by or associated with ACORN have been convicted of voter fraud.”

Creeping Socialism Stifles Job Growth

CUTTING LOCAL REGULATIONS KEY TO JOB GROWTH

“By imposing onerous and usually pointless requirements on those wishing to enter a trade or line of work, state legislatures erect needless barriers around occupations perfectly suited for those entering the work force, midcareer switchers and pink-slip recipients, say Chip Mellor and Dick Carpenter of the Institute for Justice.

  • Only one in 20 workers needed the government’s permission to pursue their chosen occupation in the 1950s, notes University of Minnesota Prof. Morris Kleiner.
  • Today that figure is nearly one in three.

The breadth of jobs requiring a license is remarkable.  Travel and tourist guides, funeral attendants, home-entertainment installers, florists, makeup artists and even interpreters for the deaf are all regulated by various states.

Proponents of such requirements justify these barriers by endlessly parroting the same worn-out phrase: public health and safety.  Yet if public health and safety were truly at risk, we would expect to see florists regulated in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., not just in Louisiana as they are now.

State legislators largely seem oblivious to the counterproductive effects of the licensure schemes they create.  This spring there was a ray of sunshine in the gloom of occupational licensure when Florida’s new governor, Rick Scott, proposed a list of 20 occupations ripe for deregulation.

  • It included auctioneers, talent agents, ballroom dance teachers, hair braiders and interior designers.
  • The legislature took up the cause with apparent enthusiasm but then succumbed to the usual suspects of licensure advocacy — industry trade associations, or cartels, eager to protect their state-granted shelter from competition.

Instead of looking to the federal government to create jobs, state legislatures could have a real and immediate effect on unemployment in their states by showing how less truly is more.  They can remove the barriers to job creation that their predecessors erected and enjoy the job-generating drive of their states’ aspiring entrepreneurs, say Mellor and Carpenter.”

Obama’s Own Words toward Flag and Country

If you haven’t read this before you might want to find our more about what our President’s intentions were before becoming President.
Yes, he told us in advance what he planned to do. Few were listening

.

The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised “Meet The Press’.
From Sunday’s 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised “Meet the Press” THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn’ USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171…

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, “Stand and Face It”.

‘Senator’ Obama replied:   “As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides”. “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression..” “The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing.”

Obama continued: “The National Anthem should be ‘swapped’ for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing’. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as ‘redesign’ our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of waring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails – – – perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ….”
When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past”.
“Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside . I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path… My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country’s First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America “

Thomas Sowell: Boehner Proposal Best under the Circumstances……..

………..and the circumstances are Republicans are in the majority only in the House of Representatives and do not control the presidency………..Do the TeaParty folks realize this harsh truth?

July 28, 2011

Ideals vs. Realities

Many of us never thought that the Republicans would hold tough long enough to get President Obama and the Democrats to agree to a budget deal that does not include raising income tax rates. But they did – and Speaker of the House John Boehner no doubt desires much of the credit for that.

Despite the widespread notion that raising tax rates automatically means collecting more revenue for the government, history says otherwise.

As far back as the 1920s, Secretary of the Treasury Andrew Mellon pointed out that the government received a very similar amount of revenue from high-income earners at low tax rates as it did at tax rates several times as high.

How was that possible? Because high tax rates drive investors into tax shelters, such as tax-exempt bonds. Today, as a result of globalization and electronic transfers of money, “the rich” are even less likely to stand still and be sheared like sheep, when they can easily send their money overseas, to places where tax rates are lower.

Money sent overseas creates jobs overseas – and American workers cannot transfer themselves overseas to get those jobs as readily as investors can send their money there.

All the overheated political rhetoric about needing to tax “millionaires and billionaires” is not about bringing in more revenue to the government. It is about bringing in more votes for politicians who stir up class warfare with rhetoric.

Now that the Republicans seem to have gotten the Democrats off their higher taxes kick, the question is whether a minority of the House Republicans will refuse to pass the Boehner legislation that could lead to a deal that will spare the country a major economic disruption and spare the Republicans from losing the 2012 elections by being blamed – rightly or wrongly – for the disruptions.

Is the Boehner legislation the best legislation possible? Of course not! You don’t get your heart’s desire when you control only one house of Congress and face a presidential veto.

The most basic fact of life is that we can make our choices only among the alternatives actually available. It is not idealism to ignore the limits of one’s power. Nor is it selling out one’s principles to recognize those limits at a given time and place, and get the best deal possible under those conditions.

That still leaves the option of working toward getting a better deal later, when the odds are more in your favor.

There would not be a United States of America today if George Washington’s army had not retreated and retreated and retreated, in the face of an overwhelmingly more powerful British military force bent on annihilating Washington’s troops.

Later, when the conditions were right for attack, General Washington attacked. But he would have had nothing to attack with if he had wasted his troops in battles that would have wiped them out.

Similar principles apply in politics. As Edmund Burke said more than two centuries ago: “Preserving my principles unshaken, I reserve my activity for rational endeavors.”

What does “rational” mean? At its most basic, it means an ability to make a ratio, as with “rational numbers” in mathematics. More broadly, it means an ability to weigh one thing against another.

There are a lot of things to weigh against each other, not only as regards the economy, but also what the consequences to this nation would be to have Barack Obama get re-elected and go further down the dangerous path he has put us on, at home and abroad. Is it worth that risk to make a futile symbolic vote in Congress?

One of the good things about the tea party movement is that it resisted the temptation to actually form a third political party, which has been an exercise in futility, time and time again, under the American electoral system.

But, if the tea party movement within the Republican Party becomes just a rule-or-ruin minority, then they might just as well have formed a separate third party and gone on to oblivion.

Writers can advocate things that have no chance at the moment, for their very writing about those things persuasively can make them possible at some future date. But to adopt the same approach as an elected member of Congress risks losing both the present and the future.

Remember Obama’s Global Warming Hysterics? New Data Shatters the Gore-Obama Alarm

It was going to fry the Earth in twenty years  or less.   The United Nations would pay a couple billion dollars to anyone who would arrange statistics to prove America’s expanding production was a threat to the world’s climate.   White man was frying the Earth and had to pay.

American hysteric, Barack Hussein Obama, immediately planned a multibillion dollar transfer from American treasury  to the treasuries  of the third world……..simply for being the third world.

James Taylor at Forbes  wrote the following article titled:  “NEW DATA BLOW GAPING HOLE IN GLOBAL WARMING ALARMISM!”

“NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth’s atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.

Study co-author Dr. Roy Spencer, a principal research scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and U.S. Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer flying on NASA’s Aqua satellite, reports that real-world data from NASA’s Terra satellite contradict multiple assumptions fed into alarmist computer models.

“The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show,” Spencer said in a July 26 University of Alabama press release. “There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans.”

In addition to finding that far less heat is being trapped than alarmist computer models have predicted, the NASA satellite data show the atmosphere begins shedding heat into space long before United Nations computer models predicted.

The new findings are extremely important and should dramatically alter the global warming debate.

Scientists on all sides of the global warming debate are in general agreement about how much heat is being directly trapped by human emissions of carbon dioxide (the answer is “not much”). However, the single most important issue in the global warming debate is whether carbon dioxide emissions will indirectly trap far more heat by causing large increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds. Alarmist computer models assume human carbon dioxide emissions indirectly cause substantial increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds (each of which are very effective at trapping heat), but real-world data have long shown that carbon dioxide emissions are not causing as much atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds as the alarmist computer models have predicted.

The new NASA Terra satellite data are consistent with long-term NOAA and NASA data indicating atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds are not increasing in the manner predicted by alarmist computer models. The Terra satellite data also support data collected by NASA’s ERBS satellite showing far more longwave radiation (and thus, heat) escaped into space between 1985 and 1999 than alarmist computer models had predicted. Together, the NASA ERBS and Terra satellite data show that for 25 years and counting, carbon dioxide emissions have directly and indirectly trapped far less heat than alarmist computer models have predicted.

In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth’s atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth’s atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict.

When objective NASA satellite data, reported in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, show a “huge discrepancy” between alarmist climate models and real-world facts, climate scientists, the media and our elected officials would be wise to take notice. Whether or not they do so will tell us a great deal about how honest the purveyors of global warming alarmism truly are.”

Stop Socialism by Stopping Barack Hussein Obama!

 THE ANTIDOTE FOR SOCIALISM

By PETE DU PONT

“Last year I wrote that the enactment of ObamaCare meant “the Europeanization of America is coming to pass, for individual choice and opportunity are being replaced by statism.” That law is transferring 17% of our national economy from the marketplace to full control and regulation by the federal government.

And that is just part of the problem. Over the past three years, our nation’s economy has become more and more like some of the fragile and overextended statist European economies. The federal debt held by the public as a share of GDP was 40.3% in 2008, 53.5% in 2009, and 62.2% in 2010, and it is estimated at 72% this fiscal year. Everyone can agree that we must change our policies before it is too late, so that we do not end up like Greece or Italy.

But things are looking bleak. While Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s threaten our nation’s credit ratings over our level of debt, one smaller ratings agency has already lowered it. Egan-Jones Ratings Co. downgraded the U.S sovereign debt from triple-A to double-A plus, understanding that the lack of spending control is an essential challenge to our economy in the future. S&P’s and Moody’s may eventually come to similar conclusions.

All of which suggests it may be too late already. Earlier this month Dan Henninger quoted Robert Lucas, a Nobel laureate in economics, who speculated that “by imitating European policies on labor markets, welfare and taxes,” the U.S. has “chosen a new, lower GDP trend.” These policies look much like Europe over the past few decades–or America in the 1930s.

As Mr. Lucas points out, in the first 70 years of the 20th century European and American economic growth increased together. But starting in the 1970s, Europe’s growth lagged due to larger welfare-state costs and much higher taxes. The Obama administration has put America on a similar trajectory.

How do we get America away from European-style socialism? We can all agree that the debt ceiling needs to be raised, for we cannot default and there is not enough we can immediately cut to stay under the current limit

We can also agree that it would be harmful to the economy to focus on increased tax revenues to try and dig us out of the economic hole. Raising tax rates in a counterproductive attempt to raise more revenues would depress economic growth and hurt any chance of a significant increase in jobs, especially since the new taxes would fall on employers who are just beginning to feel the costs of ObamaCare, not to mention a bevy of other new and threatened regulations.

Republicans in the House hoped the debt ceiling negotiation process would have been a chance to reset the trajectory of huge increases in government spending. But it is not likely to happen, for the president will not move enough to fix our worsening financial position. That means the 2012 election is the most likely opportunity to change America’s fiscal policies.

So the public policy results of the next election must be business and individual tax reform—lower rates on a flatter and broader base, repeal of ObamaCare, and reform of entitlement programs (slowly raising the Social Security retirement age, adding in block grants to the states for their own Medicaid rules, etc.). Add in the elimination of farm and “green” subsidies like ethanol, continue banning earmarks, and get federal spending down to 20 percent of GDP.

None of these policy changes will be possible with President Obama in the White House or Democrats in control of the Senate. America needs new political leadership to get our economy back on track, leadership in the hands of those willing to actually make the basic”

Mr. DuPont’s article appeared in the Wall Street Journal.

What is Obama’s Communist “Green Czar” Selection, Van Jones, up to These Days?

So you don’t think Barack Hussein Obama is a Marxist?   Do you remember Anita Dunee who in a speech to students graduating from high school she swooned over her favorite ‘philosopher, Communist dictator, Mao Tse Dung, the champion mass murder of all time.   She was Obama’s Oval Office Manager.

And then there was Van Jones, an outspoken guy and an angry one.  He hates America……the basic reason for his upset.  Mr. Jones is skilled at spreading his hate and anger.   He is so angry he is a Communist and admits proudly to his affiliateion.

Van Jones was a Communist when Marxist Obama chose him to be America’s “Green Czar”

Joshua Lipana at the American Thinker wrote an article about Communist Van Jones titled, “No, Van Jones, it is you versus the American Dream!”

“Van Jones is claiming in the Huffington Post that he and his leftist cohorts are trying to save the American Dream from the Tea Party. It is incredible  that this communisthas the guts to claim such a thing while leftist policies continue to wreak havoc upon the United States.

It is not the Tea Party but the forces of collectivism that has caused life to be so hard for so many people. For example, Bernie Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot recently said in the Investors Business Daily:

“Having built a small business into a big one, I can tell you that today the impediments that the government imposes are impossible to deal with. Home Depot would never have succeeded if we’d tried to start it today. Every day you see rules and regulations from a group of Washington bureaucrats who know nothing about running a business. And I mean every day. It’s become stifling.”

Roadblock after roadblock have been put in front of honest people to make it harder for them to reach their dreams. These are the roadblocks Van Jones and his ilk have championed

Margaret Thatcher once said

Socialists cry “Power to the people”, and raise the clenched fist as they say it. We all know what they really mean-power over people, power to the State.

She recognized the manipulative style of the collectivists. Millions of people today do so too. Van Jones is trying to change the narrative. Well, like the Iron Lady said, we all know what they really mean.”

Further Comment:  Marxism is a religion which values unchallenged power, a dictatorship, through which Marxists can manage individual and collective human life through government order.    In brief Marxism’s slogan is “The Bigger the Government, the smaller the people”, the ideal that drives Barack Hussein Obama to destroy America’s free enterprise system.
