Surprise to the LEFT? Public Opposes Democrat Policy for Loose and Fraudulent Elections

by John Hinderaker in 2012 election, Obama administration, Voter Fraud

Dems Still On the Losing End

from PowerLine:

“We have been covering the Democrats’ effort to improve their 2012 electoral position by beating back the efforts of numerous states to prevent voter fraud. Eric Holder is the point man for the Democrats in this campaign. While stirring racial division may help energize the Democrats’ base, it appears that the anti-ballot integrity movement will not be popular with the broader electorate. Scott Rasmussen finds that an overwhelming 75% support photo ID requirements. Eric Holder, meanwhile, is increasingly unpopular, with 19% favorable/43% unfavorable ratings among likely voters. This probably relates mostly to Fast and Furious, but Holder is not a strong figure to carry the anti-ballot security message.

The Democrats also hope to stir up their base by attacking state efforts to curb illegal immigration. Here, too, they are paddling the canoe uphill, as likely voters say, by a 52%/34% margin that they would like their state to enact an immigration law like Arizona’s.

Finally, President Obama’s Iowa speech of a week ago signaled that the Democrats will make inequality their big campaign theme in 2012. This would make more sense if Obama hadn’t been president for the last three years, but I suppose you could say that about nearly any issue. The problem, once again, is that while railing against the “rich” may fire up the far left, it doesn’t do much for most voters. Gallup finds that growing and expanding the economy is given high priority by 82% of Americans and increasing equality of opportunity for people to get ahead if they want to is considered very important by 70%, while only 46% attribute high priority to reducing the income gap between rich and poor. These numbers would be even more striking if Gallup were sampling likely voters. (Via Walter Russell Mead at The American Interest.)

It seems that more or less across the board, the Democrats are aiming their policies and the overall tenor of their campaign at the most leftward 30% of the electorate. This is perhaps understandable if they think they are in deep trouble and need to shore up their base, but it is hard to see consistent advocacy of principles and values that are disapproved by a clear majority of voters as a winning electoral strategy.”

Comment:   Marxists achieve more favorable ‘election results’ from fraud than from fairness.    Therefore, they go for the jugular.   If voting is necessary to secure power, Marxists control the process.

In nearly every state, the Lefty government bureaucrat determines the election process, observes it, ‘counts’ the results, and ‘wins’ recounts for LEFTIST candidates in to-close-to-call elections.

It has become the American way.    In black inner city communities the living and the dead vote Democrat.

Obama/Holder Attack on Climategate Whistleblowers

 Obama Justice Department Going After

Climategate Whistleblowers

Article sent from Lisa Rich in California.   Source was not identified:

“Remember when whistleblowers were popular among the media and the left? Yeah, good times.
I have seen apparent proof that the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Criminal Division, is working with United Kingdom police to pursue the leaker of the 2009 and 2011 “Climategate” emails.

I have learned that last week DOJ sent a search-and-seizure letter to the host of three climate-change “skeptic” blogs. Last night, UK police raided a blogger’s home and removed computers and equipment.

The leaked records derailed “cap-and-trade” legislation in the U.S. and, internationally, as well as talks for a successor to the Kyoto Protocol. The emails and computer code were produced with taxpayer funds and held on taxpayer-owned computers both in the US and the UK, and all were subject to the UK Freedom of Information Act, the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and state FOIA laws.

They also were being unlawfully withheld in both the UK (by the University of East Anglia) and the U.S. (Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), including stonewalling me for two years, and three other requesters for longer).

The hunt involving U.S. and UK law enforcement agencies is now escalating. On Wednesday night UK time, six detectives with the UK police (Norfolk Police Department) raided the home of at least one blogger, removing his equipment to look for clues to the identity of leaker “FOIA 2011.”

On December 9, DOJ sent a preservation letter under 18 U.S.C 2703(f) to the publication platform (website host) WordPress. This authority authorizes the government to request an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to preserve all records of a specific account for 90 days while the feds work on a warrant.

Norfolk PD affirmed to the subject of at least one of their raids that this international law enforcement hunt is for the leaker, meaning not for those whose acts the leaker exposed by making public emails containing admissions in their own words.

In the U.S., the academic and political Left have had fits about Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli exercising even more specific, anti-fraud authority to seek further records from University of Virginia in following up on indications from the first Climategate release of possible fraud against the taxpayer.”
Lisa’s Update: A brilliant reminder how popular whistleblowers were back during the early days of the last administration.
