The Alleged Sins of Mitt Romney, as recorded by Newt Gingrich

Perhaps it is best to get these mosquito bites out of the way so they can heal by tomorrow.   Some of Newt’s stings are completely dishonest…..for instance the quote here that infers Governor Romney likes to fire people willy-nilly.

This  spiteful, Newt Gingrich,  is campaigning in South Carolina with the following video advertisement:

Update ‘News’ regarding the Obama Buddies Obama has Exempted from Obamacare

Wizards of Waiver-ly Place

The Obama administration filed its defense of the health care law on the same day officials released the final list of friends they waived from it! How’s that for irony? On one hand, the President is lobbying to keep the law, and on the other, he’s trying to protect people from the damage it will cause. If the administration is looking to make a compelling case in advance of the March Supreme Court hearing, this isn’t it. The documents, which were released “in a classic Friday afternoon news dump,” show that labor unions represented one of the largest portions of the 3,914,356 individuals waived nationwide.

Members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee say that a whopping 1,625 insurance plans are now exempted from ObamaCare costs, while the rest struggle to adapt to the heavy new regulations.FRC is doing its best to give Americans a permanent waiver from ObamaCare by filing an amicus brief with the high court in opposition to the law. The brief was coauthored by FRC legal counsel Ken Kluskowski and Professor Nelson Lund of George Mason University School of Law. Twenty-seven members of Congress signed on to our brief, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas). Interestingly enough, FRC’s brief was cited in the Supreme Court brief filed for the National Federation of Independent Business, an unusual move calling the justices’ attention to FRC’s brief and making it very likely that the Court will carefully read and consider the arguments we present. As you may remember, our earlier brief was instrumental in U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson’s decision to strike down the entire ObamaCare law as unconstitutional. The Obama Government Setting Up Another Freddie Mac-Fannie Mae Home Loan Disaster

Getting Ready for the Next Bust

from the National Center for Policy Analysis:

Over the course of several decades, politicians encouraged banks and mortgage companies to ease lending standards in hopes of making housing more affordable for the poor.  They also urged the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to purchase the resulting low-quality loans from lending institutions.  This freed up money, enabling banks to make more loans than would have otherwise been possible.  These actions, along with low short-term interest rates set by the Federal Reserve and tax advantages for home buyers, sparked a housing boom, says The Freeman.

Home prices soared and investors flocked to purchase mortgage-backed derivatives.  Confidence in the continued rise of housing prices was largely fueled by guarantees from the two aforementioned GSE housing giants.

  • By 2007 Freddie and Fannie held $227 billion (one in six loans) in nonprime loans (classifications of lending in which ability to pay was ignored entirely), and approximately $1.6 trillion in low-quality loans altogether.
  • From 2005 through 2007, the GSEs purchased over $1 trillion in subprime and Alt-A loans, driving up the housing bubble and driving down mortgage quality.

Fannie and Freddie continued along this unsustainable path because they were given little choice by government officials.  The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977 pushed banks to engage in a number of market-intervening practices, such as increasing loans to low-income and minority borrowers, hiring minorities, and earmarking loans for minority-owned businesses.  In return, banks were granted freedom from certain regulations, allowed to open branch offices and continue with planned mergers without harassment.  This give-and-take with federal regulators led to numerous loans that were made with little confidence of repayment.

  • Critics argue that only 6 percent of the subprime loans made to low-income home buyers were provided by CRA-covered banks.
  • However, CRA loans contributed disproportionately to the defaults — according to Bank of America’s October 2008 quarterly report, CRA loans represented only 7 percent of its total mortgage lending, yet these loans made up 29 percent of its mortgage losses.

The truly surprising fact is that, after the crisis, little has changed.  Lending institutions still feel pressure from government regulators.  And even as the Federal Housing Finance Agency prepares lawsuits against banks for risky lending, members of the federal government request racial and income preferences of private-sector lenders.

The Disease of Islamic Terror is Paid for by Obama’s Economic Politics!

The strangle hold Obama’s fellow Marxists have over American enterprise these days demands that foreigners produce the wealth, not Americans.

Why are our American riches being transferred to our arch-enemies on all fronts, the tyrants of Islamic terror in the Middle East?

What are the reasons for Obamaland’s ban on American’s using American resources to help  fuel American energy rather than sending  trillions of dollars  to support Islamic terror and the sharia tyranny and its propaganca centers that go with it?

The following is an article by Cal Thomas, found at the World:

The radical Islamic threat

LISBON, Portugal—When the Republican presidential candidates tire of bashing each other, perhaps they will start addressing the expansion of radical Islam. Only Rick Santorum raised the issue in last Saturday’s debate in New Hampshire.

Next door in Spain, two new satellite TV channels recently signed on. They won’t be airing Judge Judy, but instead are broadcasting Islamic theology and political propaganda. It was not coincidental that the launch of Islamic TV in Spain coincided with Christmas. One of the early broadcasts featured a story, from Islam’s perspective, on the Virgin Mary and the birth of Jesus. Not surprisingly, it differs significantly from the biblical account with which even secular Americans are familiar.

One channel is called Hispan TV and its program content is produced in Iran. That should be warning enough. One of its shows is called Debate Abierto, or Open Debate. The Iranian government sponsors the program, which, according to Soeren Kern, a senior fellow at the Strategic Studies Group in Madrid, “will focus on spreading Shiite Islam” in Spain and Latin America.

The second channel is Cordoba Television, which Kern writes, “is the brainchild of the radical Saudi cleric Abdul Aziz al-Fawzan, the spiritual mentor for one of the Islamists who carried out the terrorist attacks in New York on September 11, 2001.”

Kern notes that al-Fawzan has a reputation for hating Christianity and marginalizing women. He also preaches against the United States and believes “slavery is a part of Islam; slavery is part of Jihad, and Jihad will remain as long as there is Islam.”

For many Muslims, Cordoba, a city in southern Spain, remains an important symbol of Islamic conquest. It was once the capital of the Islamic Emirate of al-Andalus, which ruled most of the Iberian Peninsula more than a millennium ago. Cordoba TV is owned by the Foundation for the Message of Islam and backed by the Saudi royal family. Its aim, according to Kern, is to propagate “… the extremist Wahhabi sect of Islam.” The same right-wing sect that prints textbooks calling Jews descendants of apes and pigs and Christians cross worshippers and polytheists.

One might reasonably conclude that the goal of these TV channels is to establish a presence in post-Christian Spain with political goals that even Spanish secularists won’t like. That Iran is also promoting Spanish broadcasts in Latin American countries is another indication of how radical Islam is advancing worldwide, fueled substantially by what the West pays for its oil.

What is the Obama administration’s response to the advance of radical Islam? It seeks negotiations with the Taliban and apparently as a “confidence-building gesture” is contemplating the release from Guantanamo Bay prison of Mullah Mohammed Fazl in exchange for promises of peace talks and the chance to open a political office in Qatar. Fazl, a former commander of the Taliban army, is accused of slaughtering thousands of Shiite Muslims, is said to enjoy a close relationship with al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups and is involved in drug trafficking. He is also considered a “high risk” Guantanamo detainee and a real threat to American forces and U.S. allies should he be released. This and more can be found in last year’s WikiLeaks document dump called the “Guantanamo Bay Files.”

The administration also wants to reach out to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, which it had previously said would not have a major influence in that country’s upcoming elections. It now appears Brotherhood candidates will gain significant power in that election to Israel’s detriment.

No gesture will deter the radicals. U.S. gestures demonstrate to radical Islamists America’s weakness and lack of resolve, which they are eager to exploit.

During the Cold War, the United States made effective use of the Voice of America and Radio Liberty to tell the truth to “captive nations.” There are no broadcasting counterweights to what radical Islamists are doing in Spain and Latin America. While America retreats, announcing cuts in defense spending, Islamists advance.

In the film The Iron Lady, Meryl Streep speaks the words of Margaret Thatcher: “One of the great problems of our age is that we’re governed by people who care more about feelings than they do about thoughts and ideas.”

Radical Islam challenges every idea in which the West believes. The Republican presidential candidates should start talking about their plans to counter and even defeat it. We can see what the Obama administration is doing: nothing.”

Further comment:   “The Obama administration is doing nothing” except assuring the American dollar goes overseas to build the Islamic empire by banning our United States from developing our own energy resources instead of sending our trillions of dollars to Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia to fund terror against Western civilization.

Romney for President…..It’s Time for all Americans to Rally Against Marxist Contagion

“In the last few days, we have seen some desperate Republicans join forces with him,’’ Romney said, adding that the barrage is “such a mistake for our party and for our nation. This country already has a leader who divides us with the bitter politics of envy.’’     Mitt Romney speaking last evening…….but, for some reason “establishment” Republicans such as the folks at HotAir still spill their hot tea when writing about Mr. Romney as the conservative standard bearer such as its following morning message here:

Video: Romney’s victory speech

 by Allahpundit     at HotAir

Here’s all you really need to know. From CNN’s table of exit poll data:

Romney was the tea-party candidate, and not by a narrow margin either. (Fifty-one percent of voters called themselves TP supporters; among that group, Romney beat Paul by 18 points.) He also won Republicans by more than 30 points and finished a close second to Paul among independents. The only demographic in which he got crushed was Democrats. The leader in that group: Huntsman, of course, with 41 percent.

The key passage from his victory speech:

The President has run out of ideas. Now, he’s running out of excuses. And tonight, we are asking the good people of South Carolina to join the citizens of New Hampshire and make 2012 the year he runs out of time.

President Obama wants to put free enterprise on trial. In the last few days, we have seen some desperate Republicans join forces with him. This is such a mistake for our Party and for our nation. This country already has a leader who divides us with the bitter politics of envy. We must offer an alternative vision. I stand ready to lead us down a different path, where we are lifted up by our desire to succeed, not dragged down by a resentment of success. In these difficult times, we cannot abandon the core values that define us as unique — We are One Nation, Under God.

Too soon to say, I think, how much the Bain attacks hurt or didn’t hurt but there’s some suggestive exit poll data. On the question of who ran the most unfair campaign, Gingrich finished first — but with just 26 percent of the vote. Romney finished a close second at 24 percent. I’d love to see what those numbers looked like two days ago before Newt started ripping on him for “looting.” Meanwhile, Romney won a plurality of voters who said they decided today. He took 32 percent; Huntsman finished 10 points behind in second. Unless and until the Bain question is polled directly by someone, we’ll have to squeeze hunches out of those numbers.

Here’s the clip. Somehow this is even more depressing than McCain’s victory in 2008, no? There was no tea-party revolution back then to be betrayed by nominating the godfather of the individual mandate, and the field, quite frankly, was stronger than this one. Huckabee was a more effective social-con populist than Santorum and Fred Thompson was a more effective southern “true conservative” alpha male than Perry. And McCain, for all his faults, was a war hero. Somehow we’ve backslid to the point where not only is one of the also-rans in that race the frontrunner now, he’s a juggernaut — the first Republican since Ford to win both Iowa and New Hampshire. Despite the fact that only a small part of the party seems passionate about him, he’s 11 days and one win away from wrapping this race up. Unbelievable.

I think I’m writing in Tebow.

Comment:   The Republicans are in the process of nominating an excellent candidate to wipe the Marxism out of the White House.   Mitt Romney is a  quality American and has an excellent background of leadership, the kind needed to begin to straighten up the nation’s bad posture.

Fellow Republicans have, thus far, been the trouble makers to Republican success in clarifying the main issues which confront us, not only here in American, but in Western civilization as well.

The stench of amoral Marxism is upon us……its greed, its hates, its deviousness, duplicity, dishonesty, and disingenuousness…..its crushing blows to the human spirit…….its acidic mouthings wrapped up in soothing  noise and candied  sweets…..demonstrating nothing more but the collapse of our American liberties and our way of life.

Lefty David Corn at Mother Jones Reviews the GOP Contenders’ View of B. Hussein Obama

 Elections, Politics, Top Stories

New Hampshire GOP Narrative:

Obama’s Not One of Us

On the campaign trail, the Republican candidates attack each other but they do agree on one thing: the president is the Other.      by David Corn     at Mother Jones

(Introductory comment:   It is vital to know the prejudices of others and how others view our  conservative views.   It is, after all, our American duty.   Mr. Obama IS NOT ONE OF US AMERICANS  by upbringing.  He has no friends…..most Americans have at least a few.    Although he speaks nearly all of the time, he never refers to America from any romance of his childhood.    His childhood was not an American one.   He was an isolate all of his life, both the white part and the not white part, as a reminder to Lefties.

Mr. Obama is a Marxist by conviction, hence his lack of affection for our American struggle.   He has no feel for the Constitution, and the nations Trinity of  its beliefs:   Liberty, In Good We Trust, and E Pluribus Unum, and represents the political movement, racist Marxism  to destroy all three.

Americans must know all they can about Barack Hussein Obama in order to realize the dangerous future he fosters  maneuvering against liberty, freedom for faith in God, and tolerance among peoples inherent in our national fiber.

Mr. Obama, both the white part and the non-white part is the principal leader  determined to create this abhorent Marxist tyranny. )

The story of  the GOP candidates’ view of Obama according to the Leftist at Mother Jones, David Corn:

“The Republican presidential contest—as it has played out in New Hampshire during the days prior to Tuesday’s primary—has been a battle between anger and outrage. Mitt Romney, the front-runner, gets worked up—in a Brahmin style—that President Barack Obama, a nice enough fellow, is simply not up to task of leading this great nation and doesn’t quite understand the essence of American society. Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul are outraged, absolutely outraged, that Obama is purposefully leading the nation to ruin. The basic choice for Republican voters in the Live Free or Die state: be mad or be damn mad.

At campaign stops, Romney routinely shares his dark view of Obama and the present perilous moment. In Derry, New Hampshire, this weekend, he told a few hundred people, “What frightens me today is that we have a president I don’t think who understands the nature of America—the power of opportunity and freedom. I want to bring these things back to America so we have a brighter future.” And he maintained that the 2012 presidential election is “about the soul of America. Are we going to remain true to the principles that the nation was founded on? Are we going to remain a merit society?” At the first of two debates, Romney warned that Obama “wants us to turn into a European-style welfare state and have government take from some to give to others.”

Romney, a quarter-of-a-billionaire, never explained whether he opposes all redistributive programs—say, Medicare, Pell grants, and the like. But his basic case was that Obama would rather steal your wealth (his wealth?) than trust good ol’ American ingenuity to create more wealth. Obama, Romney declared at that debate, “has put America on a road to decline.” And, he has warned, if you folks don’t stop him, you’ll all end up living in—gasp!—Sweden.

For some, that is indeed a nightmare (despite the success of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). But Santorum and Gingrich go far beyond this dour vision of an Obamaian future.

Santorum, who hasn’t appeared to have fully capitalized on his Iowa bump in New Hampshire, has been railing against Obama for plotting to diminish freedom and individual liberty—for seeking to preside over a society “where the government rules the citizenry, not the reverse.” Like Romney, Santorum has routinely charged that Obama doesn’t believe in American exceptionalism. At a campaign stop in Concord, Santorum told a conference of college students that the founding of the United States—due to the nation’s embrace of free markets and faith—led to the transition in Western nations from agrarian societies to industrial societies, and the subsequent shift to technological societies. Life expectancy, he claimed, did not change from the time of Jesus until the birth of the United States—it stayed at about 35 years—but then, with these changes, drastically increased as the faith-based new country led the way to a new era.

Yet now, Obama, the baby-faced Santorum proclaimed, is literally destroying (not just misunderstanding) the foundation of American society, as he and his relativist ilk refuse to adhere to absolutes. (“I do not believe life begins at conception,” Santorum told those college kids, “I know that life begins at conception.”) Obama, he charges, wants to play God, believing “we need leaders more capable of ruling us then of us ruling ourselves… Trust the planners, the smart people…our own nobility…who can do things better for us than we can do ourselves.”

At his final rally before Election Day, Santorum—whose campaign slogan is, “the Courage To Fight for America”—went all in: “If Barack Obama is reelected, then America as we know it will be gone. We will be a statist country. We will be a country that is no longer independent…The government…will control us.” His crowd of supporters—jammed into a pool-hall pub—cheered. Santorum, it seemed, was literally fighting for American independence.

Gingrich has been preaching a similar poli-apocalyptic vision. Speaking to employees at a power company in Manchester the day before the election, he called Obama “the most radical president in American history.” And in Gingrichian fashion, he pronounced 2012 ” the most important election of modern times.” That’s because the question at hand is whether the United States remains a nation “where citizen is sovereign and the government is servant…or becomes a European society…where government is sovereign and the citizen is servant.” And he one-upped Romney: Obama’s grand plan was not to turn the country into a European-style social welfare society, but a “secular” and “radical European socialist” nation. (Rick Perry, who made a cameo role in the New Hampshire contest by appearing at the debates, was a bit more blunt: “We have a president that’s a socialist. I don’t think our founding fathers wanted America to be a socialist country.” Socialism, it should be noted, was not quite around in the 1770s.)

You get the picture. Romney has voiced concern that Obama is an anti-American Robin Hood who wants to swipe the hard-earned cash of American taxpayers and hand it to others. Santorgrich believes Obama is hell-bent to crush faith and freedom in the United States. There is a slight difference. Saving the auto industry, crafting tax-cut compromises, negotiating spending cuts, lowering taxes for middle- and lower-income Americans, the Osama bin Laden raid, proposing investments in education, innovation, and research and development—none of that matters. The bottom line, in both iterations, is that the president is not a true American. For Romney, this is a matter of dollars and cents. For Gingratorum, this is a matter of profound theological and cultural significance.

Ron Paul, during his campaign rants against the current state of affairs, does not tend to cite Obama as an exceptionalist when it comes to demolishing US society. His target is the entire power structure, of which Obama is merely one player. Paul wants to tear down the entire system—before it implodes on its own, which, in his telling, could happen at any second. (Gold and silver!) Jon Huntsman refreshingly evinces disappointment in his former boss, not outright anger. He is trying to pitch a reasonable critique—”leadership,” he says, is “not about…vilifying”—and it hasn’t gotten him too far yet.

But the overarching thrust of the GOP attack on the president in New Hampshire has not been that he’s to blame for a crappy economy. It’s that he is not one of us and that the election at hand is not a face-off over policy disputes but a clash over the future of the idea of America. Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich are essentially calling the president a foreigner (Europe, Europe, Europe!) and campaigning to purge this country of Obama’s otherness. It’s an ugly narrative for ugly times.”

Obama Moves to Monitor Media both Professional and Social!…… WHY?

Government Homeland Security Given Green Light

 to Monitor American Journalists

“Under the National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative that emerged from the Department of Homeland Security in November, Washington has written permission to collectand retain personal information from journalists, news anchors, reporters or anyone who uses “traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.”

According to DHS, the definition of personal identifiable information can consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.”
RT adds:
Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding blogger, can be victimized by the agency.
Also included in the roster of those subjected to the spying are government officials, domestic or not, who make public statements, private sector employees that do the same and “persons known to have been involved in major crimes of Homeland Security interest,” which to itself opens up the possibilities even wider.
The department says that they will only scour publically-made info available while retaining data, but it doesn’t help but raise suspicion as to why the government is going out of their way to spend time, money and resources on watching over those that helped bring news to the masses.
According to RT, the website “Fast Company” reports that the NOC Monitoring Initiative has been in play since at least early-2010 and that the data is being shared with both private sector businesses and international third parties.”

Obama Trashings of the Law of the Land

    OBAMA’S NAKED THUGGERY

by Charles Hurt     at the Washington Times

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

“After all these years it took a great constitutional scholar who had spent a life cloistered in academia and street work to utterly rape our most cherished Constitution.

This business of bypassing the Senate to pick “recess” appointments to positions most Americans have never heard of may seem trivial. It is anything but. What Barack Obama has done has been to disembowel the U.S. Senate and shred the most carefully worded document in the history of civilized society.

Recess appointment powers were designed by the Founders as a way to fill important Senate-confirmed positions back in the days when the Senate would be out of session for months at a time. It was never intended as a way to skip confirmation in a Senate so deeply divided on a president’s nominees that it simply could not agree to confirm them.

Shattering precedent, Mr. Obama is now installing his henchmen to Senate-confirmed positions without the “advice and consent” of the Senate as explicitly stipulated by the Constitution and explicitly directed by the very laws that created those positions.

The very constitutional tenets he tossed out to make these appointments are the only tenets that require the president to seek Senate approval of Supreme Court nominees. What is to stop Mr. Obama now — or any future president — from simply “recess appointing” thugs to the Supreme Court in order to uphold his socialist platform?

During the previous administration, a minority of Democrats in the Senate stalled dozens of nominees to the federal courts. For some, they steadfastly refused for years on end to give a final up-or-down vote.

There was endless idle chatter in Senate hallways of breaking the impasse in various ways that would strain the Constitution. But it always came down to a deep reverence for the document and a larger system that slavishly protects the minority. And Republicans knew that one day they would again be in that minority.

What Mr. Obama has done here, though, doesn’t just strain the Constitution. He has torn right though it. When he says it is all supportable by the Constitution, he is lying. There is simply no other explanation for such a learned scholar to say such a thing. Unless he is learned, yet illiterate, which is entirely possible considering the perniciousness of affirmative action at places like Harvard Law School.

Whether it is staining our Constitution, killing U.S. citizens with his beloved drones, or drowning us in taxes and Orwellian health regulations, Barack Obama has become our homegrown enemy.

He shreds the Constitution with the unflinching calmness of a suicide bomber, uncaring that he is destroying the only system on Earth that could have given him the life and success he has enjoyed, thinking only of the martyrdom that will come through his annihilation of what is most important to others.

So, where are the so-called liberal voices of outrage? Are they so high on the elixir of power that they no longer care for the minority or the only refuge on Earth where they are protected? Or have their principled souls been lost in partisan blood thirst?

It was no mistake that Mr. Obama chose the very day of the Iowa Republican caucuses to leak word of his decision to rescind the Constitution. It was a hellfire warning of what is to come and that he will stop at nothing to advance his socialist agenda.

Now come this crew of hopeless pikers with their little wooden arrows and plastic swords debating endlessly about which one will be chosen by Republicans to slay the monster. With every passing day, confidence drains away.

Is Mitt Romney capable of meeting such ruthlessness? Does Rick Santorum have the sinful hatred in his heart to match this? Is it possible Newt Gingrich won’t self-destruct in the face of such diabolical scheming? Can Ron Paul’s heart of gold survive another five minutes watching as the Constitution is ripped asunder?

It is hard to imagine that any of them as capable of such deviousness.”
