In a recent commentary in the New York Times, fellow Minnesotan, Thomas Friedman, usually dining with the left wing sharks there, slipped in a per centage of compliment to former president, G. W. Bush. His conscience must be bothering him.

I had followed Friedman’s politics rather closely throughout the early part of the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Unlike his class in life, he supported the effort to free Iraq from its tyranny, both the dictatorship and the country’s vile tribalism. Other than that, he eats the same flesh as all the rest of the hungry Marxist left in its drive to devour America’s liberty.

Yet, I don’t think he will be buying a government made Chevrolet any time soon. I won’t either.

Friedman is into words….after all, he is a “journalist” so to speak who was infatuated with his own tones and loftiness before he ever met the “accomplished” General Motors new CEO. In his recent puffy article congratulating the Lebanese for voting for a sliver of freedom in an honest election amidst a very hostile environment, while laying flowers at the Obama lecturn, Friedman had a moment void of Marxist fervor….an honest memory,at least in part, and wrote:

“While the Lebanese deserve 95 percent of the credit for this election, 5 percent goes to two U.S. presidents. As more than one Lebanese whispered to me: Without George Bush standing up to the Syrians in 2005 — and forcing them to get out of Lebanon after the Hariri killing — this free election would not have happened. Mr. Bush helped create the space. Power matters. Mr. Obama helped stir the hope. Words also matter.”

Don’t you love leftwing moral equivalents especially those of Obama and his worshippers! “Mr. Obama helped stir the hope.”

“Words also matter”.

Only leftwing “girlymen” could find balance between WORDS (the ones from sweetness Obama fly all over the map) and ACTION such as sending troops to Iraq and Afghanistan with all the risks and sacrifice inherent in the venture, including enduring sabotage from America’s majority party, the Democrats. What deceit! What dishonesty!

Dear dedicated Prager fans. Please consider the following New York Times’ equals:
The Lebanese whispers of thanks to Obama child Thomas Friedman was more likely attributed to A) George Bush standing up to the Syrians in 2005 with over 100,000 troops active in the region despite the sacrifice and domestic sabotage, a move which followed the assasination by the Syrians of the Lebanese Prime Minister in order to occupy again the vulnerable nation?
or B) The sweet sounds of Obama’s baritone in 2009?

Did you forget sweetness Obama stirred such hope among the suffering in America they voted leminglike in 2008 for their favorite baritone. If this were an exam question in an American university, the correct answer would be B.

We have never had a president in the history of our country so detached from honesty or reality than Barack Obama. Whether through ignorance or intention, the result will be the same. America’s freedom is in trouble.
