The Disappearance of Beauty

An ancient saying states: “There is neither good nor bad….Only thinking makes it so”.

I was taught that adage in public grade school during the War years by my exceedingly well educated old maid school teachers. They taught knowledge….language, math, history, science, writing, listening, manners, respect and such for two essential reasons….1) To know knowledge was to discover truth and become closer to God….for God, the creator of all things, knows all….and 2) to know knowledge was would help us as adults make better choices at the ballot box to keep our democracy healthy.

Through the millenium of human life we Westerners, until recently, have been taught to believe certain ideas….including:

Because we human animals ‘think’, we male and female have souls….because thinking forces us to discover right from wrong, success from failure, winning from losing, comfort from discomfort, nourishment from starvation, life from death, good from evil, peace from war, and that which is beautiful from that which is ugly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder….has been a long time political cliche, and bears some truth, but barely. An entire culture can become bereft of beauty…..(Our own today’s Obamaling American comes readily to mind).

We learn from what we see, hear, and feel and how we are hurt, laugh and cry. Each of us is a unique SOUL, and therefore deemed sacred …..never to be replicated.

Even the ancient Egyptians recognized the human soul more than 3,000 years ago…..and revered its meaning. Yet, today we live in ObamaLand where the universities claim there is neither Truth nor God….It’s all a matter of opinion.

Some things in our existence are far more beautiful than others. THE GRAND CANYON IS FAR MORE INSPIRING IN ITS BEAUTY THAN MY LOVELY LANDSCAPE GARDEN….yet I have made my grounds beautiful…..and was inspired by my old maid school teachers to find such an art form.

I have been able to visit the Grand Canyon only three times in my life….and I am inspired by my beautiful grounds every time I go outside or look out any window. How could I be so lucky to be able to work in it….furthering, maintaining, polishing its beauty?

Every day I am inspired by the unsurpassed beauty of countless musical compositions by Beethoven, Handel, Puccini, Wagner, and so on. Such music is no longer composed…it died decades, centuries ago. Writings from the past inspire…such passages from the King James version of the Bible, Shakespeare, and the poetry of Wordworth.

“As for man, his days are as grass. As the lily of the field so he flourisheth…And the wind passeth over it, and it is gone…..and the place thereof shall know it no more”….God Bless me that verse is so beautiful expressing the inevitable.

Classical beauty…..that is beauty which is breath taking, has been disappearing from the globe even before my lifetime. In the American scene, arts are “murdered” at university reduced to being ‘taught’ at the American university.

The university itself dead-ends all forms of art, paralyzing it by reducing it to talk, talk, and more talk, noise made by professors male and otherwise, who themselves insult art. Females are poor at creating art beyond the beauty of the human infant. History reveals truth of the statement.

During the fanatcism years of the feminazi movement in America, Catherine Mackinnon earned her keep by going college to college attempting to wipe Ludwig vonBeethoven off the ears of all Westerners….claiming that his musical creations were driven my male ejaculation, suggesting rape….and therefore an insult to the female sex…..

Classical music, the beautiful in art hasn’t been created in our American neighborhoods for a half century and beyond, depending upon the art form.

What in the world of art have you heard, seen, or read recently that has truly inspired you….thrilled, uplifted you so that you couldn’t catch your breath…. froze for the moment causing tears to swell up due to the overwhelming beauty which has crossed your path.

We live in a budding Marxist America emanating from Marxist temples called universities from coast to coast…. where the word, “beauty” is disappearing.

Creating and enforcing equality is becoming a powerfull political movement policed at the White House and throughout the American educational system.

If some art is beautiful, logically other are must be less beautiful. All girls must be thought beautiful is a theme of the movement throughout the earlier years of school training. Girls have feelings which must be served.

Learning knowledge was thrown out of the American public school nearly seventy years ago. How to feel and what to think now lead the school and university social science curricula…..Classically beautiful art is male creation. The modern American public school and university have become female creations.
