Dennis Prager: FIRE FIREFOX, SUPPORT FREEDOM!!

Dennis: UNINSTALL FIREFOX!

“The reason to boycott Firefox is not that it is run by leftists. Nor is the reason to support the man-woman definition of marriage. It is solely in order to preserve liberty in the land of liberty. If Firefox doesn’t recant and rehire Eich as CEO, McCarthyism will have returned far more pervasively and perniciously than in its first incarnation. The message the gay left (such as the Orwellian-named Human Rights Campaign) and the left in general wish to send is that Americans who are in positions of power at any company should be forced to resign if they hold a position that the left strongly opposes.

And right now that position is opposition to same-sex marriage.

Think about that. In the United States of America today, the belief that marriage should remain defined as the union of a man and woman is portrayed as so vile by the left that anyone who holds it is unfit for employment.

A handful of those on the gay (and straight) left have spoken out against the forced resignation of Eich. If their words are to mean anything, they must join in the call to boycott Firefox. Otherwise, their protestations are meaningless, made solely to preserve their moral credibility.

The battle over Firefox is the most important battle in America at this particular moment. If you use Firefox, uninstall it. Instead use Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera, Safari, or try Pale Moon for Windows, which is based on the Firefox engine and will import all of your bookmarks. For mobile devices, you can try Puffin.

America can have liberty or it can have Firefox. Right now, it cannot have both.

Nine Thoughts to Ponder

Friend and fellow garden nut, Ron Kvass sent the following items to ponder:

Nine Thoughts to Ponder:

Number 9-
Death is the number 1 killer in the world.

Number 8-
Life is sexually transmitted.

Number 7-
Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Number 6-
Men have two emotions: hungry and horny, and they can’t tell them apart.
If you see a gleam in his eyes, make him a sandwich.

Number 5-
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to use the internet and they won’t bother you for weeks, months, maybe years.

Number 4-
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in the hospital, dying of nothing.

Number 3-
All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Number 2-
In the 60’s, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, and people take Prozac to make it normal.

Number 1-
Life is like a jar of jalapeno peppers. What you do today might burn your butt tomorrow.

…and as someone recently said to me:

Don’t worry about old age; it doesn’t last that long.

Scott Johnson: ROOTS OF TOTALITARIAN LIBERALISM

Roots of totalitarian liberalism

by Scott Johnson at PowerLine:

With the cashiering of Brendan Eich as Mozilla’s chief executive officer last week, we are struggling to understand what we have just seen. There is an important book that remains to be written about the totalitarian imperative at the heart of liberalism, and the insight into the nature of the larger forces at work is one of the many reasons Eich’s forced departure strikes a nerve. It is a revealing moment. This is where we are headed.

Former New York Times reporter Richard Bernstein took a stab at documenting the phenomenon in its manifestation as multiculturalism. In Dictatorship of Virtue, Bernstein writes that “the multiculturalist rhetoric has the rest of us on the run, on the run for fear of being branded…racist” and so on. “In such a way does multiculturalism limit discussion: it makes people feel afraid to say what they think and feel; it presents dubious and cranky interpretations as self-evident, indisputable truths.”

Global Warming Deniers are Killers…..Lefty “Expert” Announces

and announces without proof. President Obama insists the debate about ObamaCare is over….due to the statistics his peons cooked up for his celebration. Now, “Shut up” he intimates. The following article by James Taranto is from the Wall Street Journal:

‘Shut Up’ Is No Argument

The illiberal left lacks confidence in its ideas.

“The debate over repealing this law is over,” President Obama declared last Tuesday in reference to ObamaCare. April Fool! By the end of the week some of Obama’s most loyal media supporters were proving him wrong–by repeating his arguments.

“Is there any accountability in American politics for being completely wrong?” demanded the Washington Post’s E.J. Dionne in his Thursday column. “Is there any cost to those who say things that turn out not to be true and then, when their fabrications or false predictions are exposed, calmly move on to concocting new claims as if they had never made the old ones?”

Stay Home, Jeb Bush……Law Breakers are NOT Loveable

Will 11,000,000 illegal immigrants dictate America’s future or do Americans set the rules for citizenship?

Charles Krauthammer responds to Jeb Bush’s romantic remarks regarding the 11,000,000 Mexican illegal invasion of the United States over the past three decades:

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: If he was feeling any optimism before that interview, I think it has gone away after the interview. And I don’t think it’s a matter of fire in the belly and will he be tough enough or mean enough on the Democrats. I mean, that statement he made about illegal immigrants acting — being an act of love, is kind of bizarre.

I grant him the complete sincerity and honesty of his view, he’s always had that kind of approach. But that’s leading with your chin. After all, I mean there are millions of people around the world equally compassionate about the future of their children who are waiting patiently and legally in line and who love their children no less, and yet there is supposed to be this special compassion for those who jump the fence and break the law.
