College Grades Inflated as College “Educated” Pay More to Know Less

There is no doubt as education becomes more feminized, American college students are paying a lot more tuition yet amass less and less knowledge as each year of study goes by. Feelings, not knowledge dominate the culture. In order to please the less learned, it is feminist to provide higher scores for less performance to make everyone feel better about themselves. Feminists dictate curricula and teaching of social ‘science’ classes and departments from the Atlantic to the Pacific and have for more than a generation.

Honesty has never been a cherished value among feminists.

The following report is made possible through the National Center for Policy Analysis:

Grade Inflation Rampant on College Campuses

August 29, 2014

Grade inflation is a serious problem in colleges and universities, contends Thomas Lindsay in a new report for the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

The numbers are stark:

In the first half of the 1960s, 15 percent of college grades were As.
Today, 43 percent of all college grades are As.
An A is the most common grade given in colleges across the country.
Seventy-three percent of all college grades given today are As or Bs.
Some schools have tried to bring transparency to student grading. As far back as 20 years ago, Dartmouth placed the median course grade and the class size on students’ transcripts, next to the grade earned in each class, in response to the rise in the average GPA from 3.06 in 1968 to 3.23 in 1994. Even so, grades continued to rise at Dartmouth: by 1999, the number of As and A-minuses had reached 44 percent of all grades.

And Dartmouth is hardly an outlier. In 1969, over one quarter of all grades given at Duke University were Cs. Today, fewer than 10 percent of grades at Duke are Cs. And grade inflation is a problem at both public and private schools:

Private colleges saw the average GPA rise from 3.09 in 1991 to 3.30 in 2006.
At public schools, the average GPA increased from 2.85 to 3.01 between 1991 and 2006.
In 2006, highly selective private schools sported an average GPA of 3.43, while highly selective public schools had an average GPA of 3.22
Among public schools, major state universities in the South show the largest grade inflation from 1990 to 2006.
According to Christopher Healey, professor at Furman University, the subject with the toughest grading standards is math, in which only 29 percent of grades are As. That number is much lower than in music, where 67 percent of grades are As, or in education, where 71 percent of grades are As. As a result, Lindsay writes that grade inflation pulls students towards classes in the humanities and away from classes in science and math.

The Texas legislature has made efforts to address grade inflation in its state. While the act has not yet passed, the Honest Transcript bill would require all public colleges in the state to report the average grade given to the entire class next to each grade on a student’s transcript.

Washington’s Fascism Invading American Schools at Tax Payers’ Expense

The Growth of Federal Involvement in Education

August 28, 2014 from the National Center for Policy Analysis:

Federal intervention in elementary and secondary education has exploded over the last 50 years, according to a new report for the Mercatus Center by Courtney Collins, assistant professor of economics at Rhodes College.

The federal government had little involvement in elementary and secondary education in the United States until 1965, when President Lyndon Johnson signed the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Originally intended to provide federal funding to schools with high populations of students from low-income families, the ESEA has ballooned into a law more than 20 times its original size, writes Collins. Federal education funding for elementary and secondary education was $6.7 billion in 1964 (in 2013 dollars). By 1966, it was more than $14 billion. In 2010, it was $80 billion.

As new federal programs have been created over the last half-century, new federal requirements have been imposed on schools:

The ESEA was amended in 1966 with Title VI, which covered the education of handicapped children. It provided money to states that promised to create plans to expand programs for children with disabilities.
In 1968, the law was amended to include the Bilingual Education Act, which provided states with funds to create new programs to serve students who were not native English speakers.
In 1974, the ESEA was expanded to include grants for a number of additional programs, including new funds to teach the metric system in U.S. schools and categorical programs for gifted children, career education and the arts.
In 1978, these categorical programs multiplied, adding new projects related to youth employment, health education, women’s educational equity and book distribution programs. The ESEA also established new offices, including the Office of Environmental Education and the National Council on Ethnic Heritage Studies.
The Department of Education also grew during this time, issuing new regulations from year to year. The total number of regulatory constraints (regulations issued by the Department of Education including the words “may not,” “shall,” or “required,” and the like) in 1980 was 2,000. By 2010, it had reached 10,800. All of these requirements, writes Collins, represent the replacement of state and local control with federal educational mandates.

Significantly, American students’ scores in math and reading from 1971 to 2012 have hardly changed. While 9- and 13-year-old students have performed slightly better during that time, 17-year-olds have performed worse in math and shown no change in reading.

America’s Sisterhood War against the Human Male

It’s now about 40 years since the beginnings of the most recent onslaught of the western feminist mouth and mind upon American ears. These days are exciting for the human animal at university of more female varieties.

Female human animals have now come to own the nation’s public schools enough to sculpt future Americans monosexing young male ‘students’ to adjust to its new passive role in life, to submit to the power of sisterhood to become more sensitive, passive peace-loving versions of weepy sensitives feeling love and accomplishment for occupying space.

In the middle East American males are being beheaded. Others are joining the beheaders. Sisterhood’s prize, Barack Obama, may be controlling the White House, but his sisterhood hasn’t yet reached much further than his Oval office staff and the New York Times reporters.

Sisterhood’s war on boys in elementary school has been particularly pharmaceutic in its weaponry over the years maintaining control of lads by drugging them up to calm them down to more female levels of passivity and therefore peaceful and peaceloving agreement.

For the American Left, one sex fits all.

Yet, one might wonder what happens to the lassified laddies when they reach male life beyond feminist programming at school?

Even bored lads will find something more exciting to do than being forced to play lassie all of their school lives.

Please think about the lassification of the American lad and his American future as you read the following article:

Climate Man Obama Seeks Way to ”Climate Control” without Senate Okay

Obama Pushes International Climate Agreement

August 28, 2014 from the National Center for Policy Analysis:

Reports have emerged that the Obama administration plans to push for an “international climate change agreement” that, unlike a formal treaty, would be entered into without Senate approval.

According to the Washington Times, the goal is to reach a deal by next year. Broadly, the agreement would call for signatories to commit to carbon dioxide emission reduction goals, as well as to send money to poor nations to deal with global warming.

The agreement would be enforced, however, only with pressure and shaming from the other participants, as the group would issue progress reports detailing which parties had not met their goals. The New York Times reported that “President Obama’s climate negotiators are devising what they call a ‘politically binding’ deal that would ‘name and shame’ countries into cutting their emissions,” in order to bypass the requirement that treaties must be ratified.

According to the Washington Times, the negotiators plan to use the United Nations Framework on Climate Change — a pact passed in 1992 and ratified by the United States — and add new, “voluntary pledges” to it.

Al Franken TOP Obamaling Democrat in the Senate

Do you remember the name, Al Franken, the Saturday Night Live gangster, a Minnesotan who moved into the U.S. Senate via mysteriously counted Duluth and Iron Range lefty votes by the living and the dead early 2009? He has been creeping in and around the shadows of the nation’s capital ever since he arrived in time to become the 60th vote to pass the ObamaCare fascism bill to dictate the nation’s health.

You remember the bill, don’t you……the one the Lefty House of Representative-Czarina at the time, Nancy Pelosi, announced that the ObamaCare bill had to be passed for Americans to find out what goodies are in it?

Senator Franken is an Obamaling man. He is now campaigning for re-election, a shoe-in in Minnesota, a blue state if there ever has been one where the rich join the feminists and blacks to be programmed to hate the white human male. It is the modern, 21st Century United Nations thing to think….and Minnesotans love to be modern…..in the lead. Our winters are very long and harsh.

In public Minnesotans especially at the establishment level, still love their man, Barack Hussein, his Marxism, failures, racism, incompetence and all, for Mr. Obama long ago declared himself to be black. He often thinks and acts black, and feminist as well, especially when he wallows in his Marxist moods to change America forever. Any concept in our present culture less than worship of the man, would be considered white racism, the sin of sins, a commandment forbidding the Minnesota Left to criticize this president in public or private. His mistakes of judgment, behavior, speech, his deceit and dishonesty and the rest must not be allowed into the human mind….. evidence of white racism and anti-womenism .

Although religiously Marxist, overwhelmingly lefty Minnesotans have come from Christianity as a religion of their past where they learned in Church and from family, “If you can’t speak favorably about someone, don’t speak at all”…..now a ‘law’interpreted by Mr. Franken and his political friends from synagogue and university to exorcise against anything, anyone, alive or dead, yesterday or today, unfavorable politically, intellectually, and culturally dangerous to Marxism’s march to equality.

The oily Franken, having checked and double checked opinion polls regarding the president’s popularity, now denies his magnetic attachment to everything Obamaling. His oil gushes nearly every time he speaks in public. He practices Marxism, reversing whatever is True into untruth, an affliction invading, stimulating, Obamaling speech everywhere.

Below is a chart of Obamaling votes of Democrats the U. S. Senate and their percentages of kinship to the president’s Marxist antiAmerican agenda:

Voting With Party
This is a ranking of how often Democratic Senators vote with a majority of the Senate Democratic caucus. It factors every single vote that has been taken since the beginning of the current 113th session of Congress. All votes are weighted equally in this ranking, so a non-binding resolution honoring a collegiate sports team, for example, is considered equal to a vote on passing health care reform. Since the vast majority of the hundreds of votes factored in are routine in nature, the result is that even highly-independent senators have a seemingly high score on voting with their party. But it’s the context that matters, and this ranking attempts to provide that. Obviously, this gives only a partial picture of the ideological spectrum. If you want to see how senators have voted on major legislation in Congress, check out our section of Hot Bills or use our head-to-head vote comparison tool to compare the voting records of any two members of Congress. The average Democrat — Jack Reed — votes with his party 95.0% of the time.

Rank Name Total Votes Votes With Party Rate
1 Al Franken 161 159 98.8%
2 Benjamin L. Cardin 160 158 98.8%
3 Barbara A. Mikulski 158 156 98.7%
4 Maria Cantwell 161 158 98.1%
5 Brian Schatz 161 158 98.1%

Senator Creepy, Al Franken, a Man of Few Words?

Why are nearly all the politically creepy in America, Democrats? Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Rep. Maxine Waters, Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer and Governor Brown in California for starters…..the ones who are elected for life and beyond?

Arlen Specter now believed to be dead, was a king creep of his days in the U.S. Senate. For years he bore a “Republican” title. Eventually his constituencies discovered his malady and began to ask the popular creep, Arlen, important questions about serious issues in contemporary American life, corruption in Washington and the U.S. Senate, and where his creepiness fit into solving problems. Mr. Specter felt too important to have to answer to his public… too proud to answer questions in public or private. He demanded to be a free thinking creep and quickly changed his political title to a home where he belonged all of his political life…..DEMOCRAT.

Al Franken frighteningly appears  to be either a clone or a child of Arlen Specter. He occasionally appears to be actually alive as well. One can tell by his often foul mouth.

Many Democrats are so creepy, they convince themselves and their followers they will live in Congress forever and a day, conquering death as well as America with creepiness.

It’s Today’s Education of Americans that Makes American Schools Dangerous!

Are there any honest reviews regarding the collapse of education in the United States over the past half century…since the sex, drug, and black racism revolution of the 1960’s? Why are public school teachers not only so incompetent communicating naturally with students of all ages, but so void of knowledge, the foundation of what education anywhere is supposed to be established as well as the skills to communicate that knowledge?

Who, besides lefty ideology, psychology, politics, feminism, and Marxism, is responsible for the collapse of learning in our country? Who benefits from an ignorant population? Who besides graduates from Women’s Studies, Black Studies, and Latino Studies Departments teach our teachers at university? What’s the curriculum and why? How did Barack Hussein Obama become Barack Hussein Obama?

Who destroyed the American urban black family? Why are so many urban black males so violent, so animal, so incredibly unlearned, so criminal? Where is the honest reporting? What ever happened to Truth?

In the fall of 1971 I was transferred from a high school of civilized white students from middle to lower middle class working families to begin teaching at a predominantly black school in the same district totally out of adult control. Blacks throughout the community should have been outraged. But, how could they have been when all of the crimes….committed on a daily basis against the civilized, both white and black, were caused by their own sons, and even occasionally, daughters… in-house students, former students, and older hoods from the neighborhoods. Everyone of the various establishments concerned, particularly the lefty white teachers wanting favors lied, cheated, pretending the normal, telling the students that all white schools in the city were as violent, but being white and therefore bigoted, no one reported the crimes in the press. We teachers were told to keep our mouths shut about the school culture or be fired even when, for our own protection, we were forced to enter this public school daily via various enclosures leading into the boiler room instead of entering through the main doors.

The city administration advertised the school as a “Magnet” kind, offering a superior, broader academic program for its students. The local press, everyone hoped it was true. Integration was to be made a success, whether it happened or not.

Lying, pretending about anything was nearly an every hour occurence, but no one was killed. Many whites especially males were preyed upon for money or simply a beating. There was even a shooting in the student lunchroom among blacks arguing over a girl. The several shots missed the target, but by law, the school authorities had to report it to the police. The local Liberal main press reported the incident in a brief article lost in the interior of the issue. No mention was made regarding anyone’s background or the cause.

By 1972 the American black family had already been destroyed and was still on the skids. Fathers were missing. The unmarried mothers had children by a variety of males, received government assistance for each child. In the less disorderly families, grandmothers were often the heroes as their caretakers, including requiring the young behave and to attend church with them on Sundays.

My being was soon challenged, not by the students, but by the administration.

When I attended a mixed race urban high school as a student from 1948-1952 the nation was civilized….and the school followed suit. We were to learn knowledge. Our old maid teachers were brilliant as teachers, whether 30 or 36 kids per classroom, for the school was managed by adult males.

Schools Set Up New Safety Measures

August 27, 2014

Many students heading back to class this fall will see new security measures in place, a response to the 2012 shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, where 20 children and six educators were shot and killed by 20-year-old Adam Lanza.

According to the Wall Street Journal, districts across the country are taking measures to protect students against possible violence:

In Tampa, Florida, Hillsborough County Public Schools (the eighth-largest school district in the country) have placed 20 armed officers in their elementary schools. Additionally, the school board has hired a safety consultant and given its approval for the installation of fences and buzzers.

In Idaho, the Coeur d’Alene district’s 16 schools are now surrounded by security fencing. Visitors may only enter at one point, and elementary schools will each have two police officers patrolling the halls.

In the Montpelier Exempted Village Schools district in Ohio, buildings now include bulletproof glass and panic buttons. Additionally, four anonymous employees will carry firearms.

According to the Education Commission of the States, more than 30 states passed legislation to improve their schools’ security last year. That includes 10 states that moved to allow school personnel to carry weapons on school property: Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Connecticut.

The Leftist Climate Scare Disease May Have Passed in SE Asia

Ignorance in America regarding the outdoors is particularly rank among the ranked at college, its Left, their press, governments, and the disciples they manipulate. Machinery, professors, lawyers, and corporations have replaced farmers in America. Even a generation ago of junior high school students in New York City polled, nearly half thought tomatoes were manufactured at a supermarket.

Botany and agronomy are neither political nor social ‘sciences’. They have not yet been corrupted by the college Left beyond the world of the Left’s fraudulent sacredness toward the word ‘organic’.

As a generalization modern urban and suburban Americans know nothing about the plant world….NOTHING.

Being feminized, America does have its feelings, however. Leftist America feels Americans have ruined Nature, and Nature’s climate. Armageddon is just around the corner due to the Climate change Americans have been told by Leftists and their allies at the United Nations, they have caused. What Lefties preach at college must be true, so ‘thinking citizens must vote Left in a voting country. These preachers, however, know nothing about the plant world, nor do they care to.

Unknown to the world of today’s Left, green plants respond very favorably to carbon dioxide (the devil gas to be feared by all leftists} for lefty scientist, Democrat evangelist, Al Gore, said so.

As a child I was teased by my Mother, neither a farmer nor a leftist, to remember that the more I breathed on our indoor ferns and aspidistras in our living room, the larger and greener their leaves would be come. I later had learned in school general science classes that green plants go tizzy with increased amounts of carbon dioxide. Tree ferns during the dinosaur ages were huge. I learned later in college, before the Leftist know-nothing revolution of the 1960s that the primary reason for the lushness of vegetation during that dinosaur era was due to the high levels of carbon dioxide in our earthly environment compared to today.

Good morning to real climate science, leftist America. Have a good day by reading the following unlefty article about climate and growing things green in Southeast Asia:

Calming Fears of Climate Change in Asia

August 27, 2014 from the National Center for Policy Analysis:

Many climate studies have focused on South and Southeast Asia, as the region is considered uniquely vulnerable to the projected effects of climate change such as a reduction in crop yields, rising sea levels, flooding, a loss of biodiversity and drought. Many of these Asian countries are islands or are on peninsulas, with highly populated coastal cities; if climate change predictions come true, these countries would be highly vulnerable.

In a paper for the National Center for Policy Analysis, Research Associate Tanner Davis explains that the five cities deemed at the most “extreme risk” for climate change by global risk analysis company Maplecroft are Dhaka, Mumbai, Kolkata, Manila and Bangkok — all of which are in South or Southeast Asia. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, global warming poses a special risk to these two regions.

But while climate change alarmists have suggested that higher temperatures will increase food insecurity in Asia, food production has been increasing for the last half-century:

Since the 1990s, food production in Southeast Asia has increased substantially.
South Asia has kept a stable supply of arable land, and the amount of arable land in Southeast Asia has increased.
In fact, according to agronomist Craig Idso, increased levels of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere has increased, not decreased, plant production.
Similarly, while many have raised concerns about sea level rise, there is no consensus on the amount of rise. According to the World Bank, were the sea level to rise by one meter, just 1 to 2 percent of land area, population and farmland in developing countries would be affected, and GDP would fall by 0.5 percent to 2 percent.

Davis distinguishes what he calls “mitigation” from “adaptation.” Mitigation, he says, seeks to combat climate change by embarking upon new projects or instituting measures aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in order to curb climate change. Adaptation, on the other hand, consists of strategies to deal with the effects of global warming, such as rehabilitating coral, engaging in water resource management and protecting wildlife.

As climate science is so uncertain and unsettled, writes Davis, adaptation is the more cost-effective approach to climate change.

Obama’s IRS Claims Lerner Emails Not Really Missing…….They are around somewhere

IRS now claims Lois Lerner’s emails not really missing, just really hard to find

POSTED AUGUST 26, 2014 BY NOAH ROTHMAN

at Hotmail:

“Increasingly, those who continue to insist that there was no cover-up at the IRS after it was revealed that administrators consciously targeted conservative groups with undue scrutiny are finding that the burden of proof is on them to substantiate this outlandish claim. The undeniable evidence of malfeasance and criminality at the nation’s tax collection agency is mounting.

On Monday, the watchdog group Judicial Watch published a statement from the organization’s president which indicates that the IRS believes that Lois Lerner’s supposedly lost emails do exist, but that they would simply be difficult to uncover.”……..
