Why have our Catholic Universities become so Lefty Atheist antiAmerican?

A “Catholic university” throughout the generations including my own, was frequently chided for being “A contradiction of terms.” The Church has always been authoritarian, a dictatorship by committee or one. It was in America such institutions transferred from the old world became more adjusted to a more democratic role in society to blend in with the national tolerance and requirements to defend it.

It was expected the Vatican would make love with any tyranny to protect the Church….and did so in Nazi times.

Yet in our day of Marxist-Feminist fascist war against liberty which includes the gay political crowd, American Roman Catholicism appears to be joining the Obama version of Christian worship.

Mark Waldeland sent the following unsurprising article from the Free Republic exposing our 21st Century Roman Catholic Church’s politics in America:

“Marquette University has begun the process to fire a tenured professor after he publicly said that students have the right to oppose gay marriage while in class, while also naming the professor who tried to ban it.

In a letter to Dr. John McAdams, Marquette informed the professor that the “University is commencing the process to revoke your tenure and to dismiss you from the faculty.””

Prager University: Can Sharia and Freedom Coexist?

PAKISTAN: CAN SHARIA AND FREEDOM COEXIST? 5 minute course taught by Haroon Ullah:

Pakistan is the world’s fifth largest democracy. It is also deeply influenced by Islamic law (Sharia). Can these two traditions, Western Liberal democracy and Sharia, co-exist? If so, how? And if not, what are the consequences? Haroon Ullah, foreign policy professor at Georgetown University, has some fascinating and sobering answers. Click below for the presentation:
