Irani Newsman, Amir Hossein Mottaghi, Defects from Teheran Regime….

Pro-Hassan Rouhani Iranian editor defects while covering nuclear talks in Lausanne
Amir Hossein Motaghi says he no longer sees any “sense” in his profession as he could only write as he was told

by Ahmed Vahdat and Richard Spencer

“A close media aide to Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian president, has sought political asylum in Switzerland after travelling to Lausanne to cover the nuclear talks between Tehran and the West.
Amir Hossein Motaghi, who managed public relations for Mr Rouhani during his 2013 election campaign, was said by Iranian news agencies to have quit his job at the Iran Student Correspondents Association (ISCA).
He then appeared on an opposition television channel based in London to say he no longer saw any “sense” in his profession as a journalist as he could only write what he was told.
“There are a number of people attending on the Iranian side at the negotiations who are said to be journalists reporting on the negotiations,” he told Irane Farda television. “But they are not journalists and their main job is to make sure that all the news fed back to Iran goes through their channels.
“My conscience would not allow me to carry out my profession in this manner any more.” Mr Mottaghi was a journalist and commentator who went on to use social media to a youthful audience that overwhelmingly elected hims to power……there’s more…..

IRANIAN DEFECTOR: “U.S. NEGOTIATING TEAM MAINLY THERE TO SPEAK ON IRAN’S BEHALF”

An Iranian journalist writing about the nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran has defected. In an interview Amir Hossein Motaghi, has some harsh words for his native Iran. He also has a damning indictment of America’s role in the nuclear negotiations.

“The U.S. negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the 5+1 countries and convince them of a deal,” Motaghi told a TV station after just defecting from the Iranian delegation while abroad for the nuclear talks. The P 5 + 1 is made up of United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China, France, plus Germany.

The Hugely Likable Mike Huckabee Makes even Bill Maher appear Civil

Could one meet a more classical decent American than Mike Huckabee. His presence, sharpness, humor, and smile disarmed even the Christian hating, Bill Maher of foul-mouthed Leftwing America fame.

If Mr. Huckabee’s Americanism can neutralize, even charm the ugly minded Maher, upgrading him to civility status during a brief conversation, what kind of CHANGE might the former Governor of Arkansas bring to the Oval Office to uplift the country from its eight-year dance macabre with the autocrat Islamist, antiAmerican foreigner, Barack Hussein Obama?

The following realclearpolitics video is proof of the ‘civility’ pudding which caused Bill to be almost likable.

MAHER INTERVIEWS MIKE HUCKABEE ABOUT RELIGION, POSSIBLE PRESIDENTIAL RUN AND MORE

MORE ON BILL MAHER: The foulness of Bill Maher in public has softened a bit in some areas of his vulgarisms against and hate of the American conservative. His leftism has become less Hitlerian. He has allowed a page or two of conservative language and thought to enter his mental tome making his millions warring against the American struggle to defend its basic raison d’etre, to establish a nation founded upon the pursuits of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, rather than upon serfdom serving tinpot style rule under the Obamas and Hillarys, the enemies of popular governments.

The newer Maher retains his vernacular skills in the following video, but unlike the more bigotted yesteryear’s Maher, takes a conservative shot or two at a few of the religious tenets cherished by todays Marxist fascists and the children who cherish his show.

Leftist Gay Bigotry on the March…..Use Washington State Law and ACLU to Destroy Christian Grandmother’s Florist Business

FREEDOM IN AMERICA….ONLY IF YOU’RE FASCIST AND ADORE GAYS

Washington state government fascist bureaucrat, Attorney General Bob Ferguson files discrimination charges against 70 year-old devoted Christian grandmother.

Christian Grandma-Florist Fined $1,001, Ordered to Work Gay Weddings but Refuses, Says She Won’t Betray Jesus; State Threatens to Take Her Home, Business Away
…… by Samuel Smith at the Christian Post:

“A Christian florist and grandmother who declined to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding because of her Christian belief in traditional marriage has been fined $1,001 by a Washington court and will be held liable to pay the legal fees incurred by the gay couple, which could “devastate” her financially.

As previously reported by The Christian Post, 70-year-old Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland, Washington, was found guilty of violating the state’s non-discrimination law in February, after referring Rob Ingersoll and Curt Feed to another florist when they asked her to provide the floral arrangements for their wedding.

Although Stutzman sold flowers to Ingersoll for nearly a decade and maintained a positive relationship with him, when he asked her to provide flowers for his same-sex wedding, she felt she could not act against her Christian conviction to serve her friend.

Afterwards, Ingersoll took to social media to voice his displeasure with Stutzman, which drew the attention of Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who eventually filed charges against Stutzman, after she refused to comply with his demands that her shop serve gay weddings.

While Benton County Superior Court Judge Alex Ekstrom’s Friday summary judgement orders Stutzman to pay a fine of $1,001, for now, and forces her to provide services for same-sex weddings, her lawyer, Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel Kristen Waggoner, said that Stutzman is still at risk of losing her retirement savings and business as she will be responsible for paying the legal fees and damages incurred by Ingersoll and Freed, who were represented by the ACLU.

The court will hold off on making a decision on how much Stutzman will have to pay in legal costs and fees until after a ruling has been made on an appeal. ADF has indicated that an appeal will be filed. Additionally, the ruling will force Arlene’s Flowers to uphold the state’s non-discrimination law and serve gay weddings.

“Today’s judgement affirms the court’s earlier decision that Barronelle must pay a penalty for her faith and surrender her freedom and conscience,” Waggoner said in a statement. “The penalty and fees imposed today are only the first punch. The ACLU, on behalf of the same-sex couple also suing Barronelle, has asked the court to award them penalties, fees, and costs, which will financially devastate this 70-year-old grandmother’s retirement and personal savings. The message sent by the attorney general and the ACLU to the people of Washington is quite clear: surrender your religious liberty and free speech rights, or face personal and professional ruin.”

Even though Stutzman faces the possibility of personal and professional ruin, she had the “option” to escape from her legal crisis if she had agreed to accept Ferguson’s settlement offer, the day after she was found guilty in court, which was to pay a fine of $2,001 and agree to provide her services for gay weddings. Stutzman, however, felt she could not turn her back on Jesus in order to save herself or her business.

“Washington’s constitution guarantees us ‘freedom of conscience in all matters of religious sentiment.’ I cannot sell that precious freedom,” Stutzman wrote in a responding letter to the attorney general’s settlement offer. “You are asking me to walk in in the way of a well-known betrayer, one who sold something of infinite worth for 30 pieces of silver. That is something I will not do.”

“Your offer reveals that you don’t really understand me or what this conflict is about. It’s about freedom, not money,” Stutzman continued. “I certainly don’t relish the idea of losing my business, my home, and everything else that your lawsuit threatens to take from my family, but my freedom to honor God in doing what I do best is more important.”

Attached to Eckstrom’s judgement was a handwritten note further asserting that businesses that offer wedding-based services cannot refuse to provide goods to same-sex weddings, no matter what their religious beliefs are.

“All goods, merchandise, and services offered or sold to opposite sex couples shall be offered or sold to same-sex couples, including but not limited to goods, merchandise and services for weddings and commitment ceremonies,” Ekstrom’s note stated.”

Indiana Governor Mike Pence Teaches Leftist George Stephanopoulos “Tolerance is a Two-Way Street!”

STEPHANOPOULOS VS GOVERNOR MIKE PENCE ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM ACT….WE’RE NOT GOING TO CHANGE THE LAW….TOLERANCE IS A TWO-WAY STREET

“George, look, the issue here is, you know, is tolerance a two way street or not?

I mean, you know, there’s a lot of talk about tolerance in this country today having to do with people on the left. And a — but here Indiana steps forward to protect the constitutional rights and privileges of freedom of religion for people of faith and families of faith in our state and this avalanche of intolerance that’s been poured on our state is just outrageous.

You’ve been to Indiana a bunch of times. You know it. There are no kinder, more generous, more welcoming, more hospitable people in America than in the 92 counties of Indiana.

And yet because we simply stepped forward for the purpose of recognizing the religious liberty rights of all the people of Indiana, of every faith, we at — we have suffered under this avalanche for the last several days of condemnation and it’s completely baseless.

SATs and Leveling the Playing Field to go to College

MORE AT RISK THAN LOW TEST SCORES WHEN TAKING THE SAT

from the National Center for Policy Analysis:

“SAT test administrators go to great lengths to keep the playing field level for students across the nation. Students sign agreements to refrain from discussing questions with each other, parents, friend or teachers; adults monitor the classroom and halls for discussion during the tests; phones are turned off and placed at the front of the room.

Yet over the past few years, testing companies have begun monitoring students’ social media accounts looking for test question leaks. In addition to the testing companies themselves, a whole industry has popped up whose express intent is to collect vast quantities of data on students’ attitudes, activities, habits and schedule.

Compound this with the massive amounts of data that online education tools collect on children, and it paints a startling picture: Educators are allowing companies to collect invasive, intimate data on American students, and there is very little information available on how that data is used.

While the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student test scores and basic records, it does nothing to protect anything outside of the student’s official education record.

A new bill, the Student Digital Privacy and Parental Rights Act of 2015, is seeking to fix that. Though the official bill has not been released, it aims to keep institutions from selling student data and protect children’s privacy.

Opponents of the bill say it does not go far enough. Loopholes leave room for student data to continue to be sold, and there is no option for parents to opt out of having data collected on their child.”

Note from personal experience: I hated taking SATS of all varieties. They had come to ‘life’ at roughly the time I was becoming quite nervous trying to figure out who I was going to be in the scary world of adult life in 1956 when I graduated college with my first degree, a BA in Geography and Russian.

I entered the U.S. Army to calm my worry.

After marriage, I returned to academia in time to earn a “BS” in Education and signed up to enter grad school for further achievement while I was teaching Russian at the University of Minnesota High School.

I loved learning school “stuff”. The teachers were professionals in topic and teaching in those days. They earned the respect they deserved. But, personally I never discovered academic discipline needed to super-succeed from grade school on, for I was terribly crippled as a reader….both physically and psychologically. Real, live and well educated, bright, intellectually well organized, unfeminized professors lectured and taught in the classes I attended in those days. Test grades, however, depended upon my reading ability; how much and what kind of reading had been required by the discipline. (I hated Cartography…. and flunked Geomorphology, a class in which I was mesmerized by the skillful lectures by the professor who made me excited about geology, Mother Earth, the story of it all, but had no clue of the physics and chemistry…also a requirement for good grades in such classes. Nevertheless, I had an overall B average during my undergradute work …at a time when grades were given specifically to weed out the “less qualified”. Students had to ‘learn’ their keep then, yet I didn’t pay too much attention to specifics. I loved ‘school’ learning.

I never bothered about grade honor-rolls. My parents were not colleged. An enthusiastic instructor talking about nearly any topic of his or her choice has always been able to ‘make my day’. It was the required reading that did me in…..I was and atill am terribly dyslexic, but didn’t discover this short order until I reached my 60s, when it was far too late for ‘scholastic embellishments”.

I applied for graduate school which then required PSATS and SATS, investigations, timed tests which required pages and pages of readings, results of which were never shared with me by school officials. I no longer printed letters backwards as I had throughout first grade, but I was terrorized any moment in which I and SATS tests penetrated my ears. By college I’d try these timed tests, but I’d immediately panic belabored, desperate to find meaning in words I couldn’t put together to make a sensible recognizable sentence. The panic would exaggerate what I couldn’t “see” to read. I majored in geography and Russian where I could avoid reading novels in my native tongue.

My first application to enter University of Minnesota graduate school to continue my attachment to schooling was denied. The SATs had finally done me in, yet I was shocked.

I immediately showed up at “authorities’ doors”….more than one, to discover what my academic ‘death’ was about, after all, I had achieved more “A’ grades than any other letter in my college career….yes, some Cs and a smattering of Ds (Cartography, was one)…..and then there was Geomorphology.

The first two ‘listeners’ were standard bureaucrats. I told them to look at my entire school record, not just my SAT scores. “You have my life’s school records in your hands. Whenever have I been a failing student?” I nagged, more than pleaded. I had even gone to summer school sessions enrolling in classes in many other fields that interested me…a bit of Chinese here and Finnish there…..yet they turned me down.

A week or so later, I got a call from the University’s grad school office. Would I like to take another kind of a test, a Miller’s Analogies test, which, I was told, might help my cause? I never hated taking tests, just timed ones like SATS….I was filled with learning stuff I got from schooling.

The Miller’s Analogies test was something different from reading pages of complicated paragraphs in a race against time. Geometric shapes, phrases, words. numbers, all sorts of wonderful things to see and put together as if working picture puzzles puzzles I had long ago found fun to do before my time. I finished well ahead of time allowed.

A few days later the grad school official who was handling my ‘case’, called me in for a conference and when I arrived, he said:

“You did all right on the Miller’s…..Welcome to grad school”. ( I admit a moment of pride when he told me I was in the 98th percentile among takers of that Millers Analogy Test. I saw a similar prideful grin across the face of the grad department guy who went out of his way to permit me to take the Millers test a a substitute for the SAT….

I have no idea if Miller’s Analogies is in the dead letter office these days. Do read ahead for a Wikipedia review:

Can Religious Liberty Exist, Can God Exist, in an American Gay Fascist State?

Is there no room, no protection for religious conscience seeking and defining human decency and truth in today’s carnal-worshiping leftist dictatorship culture?

No!…. according to the American devious, atheistic, authoritarian, amoral Leftists whose 21st Century growing peoples dictatorship now declares where and how post-puberty Americans celebrate their genetalia as animal is far more noble, educational, social, spiritual, and familial in value to our country (and political gain to the ‘liberated’ Democrat Party), than mankind’s drive to seek and protect God’s Truth, goodness, peace, and wisdom throughout human existence on Earth.

The following two articles are writings in response to legislative action recently passed by mostly conservatives of the Indiana state legislature in ‘support’ of a federal law regarding certain religious rights guaranteed citizens in federal cases. The first, written by newsman, John McCormack explains the Indiana law; the second written by feminist, Renee Graham, who prefers diatribe over reason:

INDIANA’S RELIGIOUS FREEDOM RESTORATION ACT, EXPLAINED

by John McCormack at the Weekly Standard:

“Is the Religious Act really a license to discriminate against gay people?……

No. Stanford law professor Michael McConnell, a former appellate court judge, tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email: “In the decades that states have had RFRA statutes, no business has been given the right to discriminate against gay customers, or anyone else.”

So what is the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and what does it say?

The first RFRA was a 1993 federal law that was signed into law by Democratic president Bill Clinton. It unanimously passed the House of Representatives, where it was sponsored by then-congressman Chuck Schumer, and sailed through the Senate on a 97-3 vote.

The law reestablished a balancing test for courts to apply in religious liberty cases (a standard had been used by the Supreme Court for decades). RFRA allows a person’s free exercise of religion to be “substantially burdened” by a law only if the law furthers a “compelling governmental interest” in the “least restrictive means of furthering that compelling governmental interest.”

So the law doesn’t say that a person making a religious claim will always win. In the years since RFRA has been on the books, sometimes the courts have ruled in favor of religious exemptions, but many other times they haven’t.

If there’s already a federal RFRA in place, why did Indiana pass its own RFRA?

Great question. In a 1997 Supreme Court case (City of Boerne v. Flores), the court held that federal RFRA was generally inapplicable against state and local laws. Since then, a number of states have enacted their own RFRA statutes: Indiana became the twentieth to do so. Other states have state court rulings that provide RFRA-like protections. Here’s a helpful map from 2014 that shows you which states have RFRA protections (note that Mississippi and Indiana have passed RFRA since this map was made):

Renee Graham goes bonkers over Religious Restoration Act action by Indiana legislature:

PRAGER UNIVERSITY: Feminists at University of California Paid Millions to Preach Sexism and Black Racism at University of California System

Another five minute lesson taught at Prager University.

THE UNIVERSITY DIVERSITY SCAM (Wasting millions of dollars hiring feminists to practice, preach, and teach hate?)

Instructor, Heather MacDonald

Course Description
America’s campuses, particularly those in California, spend tens of millions of dollars on administrators and programs to sell issues like sexism, homophobia, and racism on campus. But are these problems in any way prevalent at our universities? Or is this diversity bureaucracy a big waste of money? Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute explains.

AYAAN HIRSI ALI: A HERO OF OUR TIME

AYAAN HIRSI ALI: A HERO OF OUR TIME

by Rich Lowry at Politico:

“Ayaan Hirsi Ali should be the perfect feminist hero. Viewed from a certain level of abstraction, it is hard to imagine one person who fits the role on so many levels: She’s an escapee — literally — from an abusive patriarchy. She’s an African immigrant who made her own way in a Western country, the Netherlands, starting from nothing. She’s a fierce advocate for women’s rights. She’s a target for deadly violence by angry men who want to shut her up. She left her religion and became a scourge of its repressive practices.
All this — her searing personal experience, her Third World background, her secularism — would seem fit to make her a rock star of contemporary feminism. Except for the blemish on her record: Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a dissident from the wrong religion.
Raised a Muslim in Somalia, subjected to genital mutilation and married off to a distant cousin, she is famously a critic of Islam. She has excoriated it for years at extraordinary risk to her own safety, and makes the case again in her latest book, “Heretic: Why Islam Needs a Reformation Now.”
