What if Republicans Hadn’t Savaged Donald Trump for President?

What if the GOP biggies, whoever they claim they are , or had claimed to be last summer welcomed, not hated the Trump entry into the impending presidential campaign?

What if these GOP biggies noticed the boyish boredom in Marco Rubio, the sleazy blabber mouth of the Ted Cruz they didn’t particularly like anyway, the sloppy, droopy drapings of their Governor of Ohio?   They missed a bright, charming, winsome Governor of Texas last presidential round.  He had committed the crime of forgetting one of his three points of political proof in front of debate cameras one night.

And to think this GOP crowd thought for months, perhaps years, that the dead beat, frightened  raccoon unable to smile and  speak English properly, Jeb Bush would spend over $100,000,000 selling this product as the real “Reagan” man of our day!

Is it the attorney in these creatures that makes them so boring, so indecisive, so mysteriously ignorant of and remote from normal American life?

What  is it in the conservative mindset, the one needed for the salvation of freedom anywhere, everywhere,  to stir the poisons  of the minds, mouths,  and writings  of our America’s best conservative disciples who for years have been  keeping  that special light of America’s House on that Hill of freedom become  lit again?

What caused the hate-Donald Trump bigotry in these men,  who should have known better by  following the  basic conservative principles they choose to preach….the ones they claim  to help  bring back to America….truth, tolerance, wisdom, fairness, decency, patience, teaching, performing, clarity and other classic JudeoChristian ‘laws’ of goodness.

Why are your bags of wind NOT primarily responsible  for the dilemma our American Republican Party now finds itself?  YOU FOLKS …..Dennis Prager,  William Kristol, Karl Rove, Daniel Henninger,  Jonah Goldberg, Rick Lowry,  Chris Stirewalt,  Bernie Goldberg, John Fund, John Podhoretz, Bret Stephens….and so on, and so on with your publications, your smug certainties from your collective isolation and total intolerance…..?

You, who collectively believe truth in  the snotty Ted Cruz phrase when asked where do we Donald Trump believers come from….”They are low information voters”……

What if you and your conservative empire had accepted Our Donald as a credible friend and colleague to defeat the Hillary Clinton machine?    What if you and your conservative empire influenced the candidates with a wish of accomplishments you would like to achieve from them and ask for the candidates’ wish list as well…..RATHER THAN TREATING DONALD TRUMP LIKE A JEW YOU’D SEND TO ELBA?

Why do I love Our Donald?  HE IS AN AMERICAN FIRST!   I love him for his honesty of mind, even though it is sometimes naive and incomplete of information, his energy to build and repair, his brilliance of mind devoted to his love of country which he reeks, his skills to lead, to share his CONSERVATISM…..which your gang, Dennis Prager,  falsely loudly disclaims.

You, not your country,  have made him your enemy, pretending he’s our America’s enemy.

Today, Dan Henninger, a talented conservative writer-hate Donald guy writes in the Wall Street Journal….”Barack Obama will retire a happy man.  He is now close to destroying his political enemies……the Republican Party”……and continues “Today, the last men standing amidst the debris of the Republican presidential competition are Donald Trump, a political  independent who is using the Republican Party like an Uber car;  Ted Cruz, who used the Republican Party as a foot stool,  and John Kasich, a remnant…..”

He is one of countless among conservative messengers who blaspheme Our Donald and have so from the very beginning of his campaign last summer.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS FANTASTIC TRUMP SURGE TO THIS POINT despite these cadres of haters?

DONALD J. TRUMP is  an American winner despite the bigoted cobras writhing around him, certain, but without any proof at all, that the man is either a loser or a foreigner, or both.   How much more relaxed and less paranoid might Our Donald  have become  to this point, running his campaign without the collective hatred, the dishonesty, the preachments of these Prager-Stephens and Henninger crowds?

What would have happened if these Dennis Prager -likes had  behaved “conservative” American toward Our Donald from the very beginning last Summer, after Trump pledged to refrain from running on a third party ticket.

(Isn’t it ironic that in the past month or two, these ‘collective conservative pundits’ have said very, very little about the threat by  the William Kristol gang  to run someone as a third party candidate against Hillary and Our Donald.)

WHY NOT BEGIN TO RALLY AROUND OUR DONALD…..WORK WITH HIM TO SMOOTH THINGS OUT, ACCENT THE POSITIVE, ELIMINIATE THE NEGATIVE….and covet the ‘inbetween’….to save conservatism and our Grand Old Party….and defeat Hillary this November?     (I fear Ted Cruz is a loser….Our Donald is not!….especially if the GOP is relatively united behind him.)

Normally we’d be talking about which of the army of superdelegates is backing which candidate or how they might make the process a tad bit more democratic in nature, but this story has to do with who will (or more to the point, won’t) be attending the festivities in Philadelphia. You may recall that we earlier talked about one of Hillary Clinton’s long time friends and supporters who also happens to be a superdelegate, Sheldon Silver. The disgraced former Speaker of the State Assembly in New York was previously convicted of a raft of corruption charges and is currently awaiting sentencing where he could receive up to 130 years behind bars. (A rather neat trick since he’s already 72 years old.)

Now, adding insult to injury, they’ve taken away Silver’s license to practice law in the Empire State.

Former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver is now officially a former lawyer, too.

A state appeals court on Tuesday ruled the 72-year-old disgraced Democrat effectively lost his license in November when he was convicted in federal court of violating federal honest services laws. A jury found that he took $3.5 million in legal fees from clients and then did favors for them that involved his elected office.

The panel of judges in the Manhattan Appellate Division said that by state law, a felony conviction means an automatic disbarment at the time of the conviction…….”

CLASSICAL EDUCATION “CAN MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN”

By the luck of geography 80 years ago, my parents  moved to a certain  section of St. Paul, Minnesota where the classical education curriculum was alive and well.  It was a new area of modest homes for very modest income  families of male workers.    Our ‘bungalow of 1936 was bought for $6,250…..on time payments, of course.

Three years later I  entered public elementary school, K-8, where exceedingly well-educated old maids ran the curriculum and performed the teaching in a total no-nonsense  environment.   Learning of knowledge was the purpose of schooling, we were told…..for two very important  reasons:  1) Learning knowledge would make us become closer to God, for God knows all things, and 2) Learning knowledge would help us make better decisions at the ballot box.

America was to be built a democratic, God-fearing nation!

I was horribly dyslexic as a youngster, and so, rather unpredictable regarding school performances.  I often starred with top performances in a number of arenas,  where reading was NOT required which was a “puzzlement” to educators involved with  my early life.

I entered public high school where a classical scheme of education was still honored for those who studied and performed well.  It was also used in the freshman year as a weeding out process for those for whatever reasons, had ability but  did not perform to the standards required.   Teachers decided the fates of their students.  Success remaining in the classical curriculum depended upon student performance.

I had no idea what kind of education there could be.   I merely attended classes as I was told.

My first class as this  high school freshman  was English.   Among other vital learnings “to become civilized”, we had to read and study Shakespeare’s Macbeth,  Julius Caesar,  and  The Merchant of Venice…..ala Shakespeare English, of course.    There were 36 students in the classroom, nearly all  boys.   None of the students were aware this English class was a weedout  for those, for whatever reason, didn’t perform or seemed not  to have a future in learning ‘the more important teachings’ about and  in life as expressed in a more classical learning environment.

In those days we students bought our own  texts for our lessons.   I could barely read novels and plays in contemporary English, and so,  was terrified when I looked at the printing  of 16th century Shakespeare language plays I was supposed to read with understanding.

I survived in the curriculum by luck of the teacher given.    She knew all three plays by heart.  She, in her red wig,  was in her last, her 68th year of performing her skills, teaching, preaching while often speaking each sentence of each play,  each conversation, each intrigue and twist of story so beautifully and clearly written by its master author, I followed the lessons day after days so mesmerized,  at home  became able to read every word of these Shakespeare masterpieces, for her words were already fixed and cleared in my mind.

After failing the first marking period, once I got used to the play’s settings described by  her artistic performances, I’d  read and reread each scene as a conqueror.

Without realizing the result at the time, I was accepted  to enter the classic curriculum classes.   My sophomore year I was allowed to study Latin…..and learned about the rise and fall of human kind’s greatest empire along with amo, amas, amat.

I learned from Macbeth:  “Tomorrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow Creeps in this petty pace from day to day To the last syllable of recorded time.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death.

Out, out brief candle….Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more:  it is a tale

Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing!”

I was 14 when I had to memorize Macbeth’s above  realization he was doomed for what he had done.  I knew I didn’t want to live like that Thane….and I knew the language was profound and beautiful despite the despair.

Classical education IF well taught is beautiful and inspiring…..today’s teachings are empty, boring, and focused  on  training feminism, black racism, socialism, and atheism.

all passed solely with Democrat votes.

Not a single Republican voted for these new taxes. 

These taxes were all passed in the Affordable Care Act, (aka Obamacare) – by line items.

Prager fan, long time friend Mark Waldeland sent this pair of Irreconcilables, Dennis Prager writing the above lines in 2008 which turned out to be prophetic…..

The Jonah Goldberg estimated irreconcilable GOPs is still guess work.  Jonah is  strong anti-Trump advertiser where and whenever possible and at this point in time, Mr. Trump has the trump cards, Goldberg’s Mr. Cruz and his recently rallying RNC bigwigs presently on his side, have “only”  bombs to throw if the voting returns continue to spread Donald Trumps lead to capture the nomination.

Cruz and the RNC have the power to do the destroying.   The choice between Republican life or death rests in their hands…..if Donald continues his successful surge.

If the RNC and the Cruzkids rally behind the Donald after a respectful meeting of the two groups and come to an agreement  on the most important conservative issues, there will be no Jonah Goldberg scenario in the GOP future…..Donald will win this November.

This is not a joke. Senator Al Franken should be the Democratic Party’s choice for vice president.
If I had said that 10 years ago, or even six months ago, the notion would have been preposterous: a former Saturday Night Live writer, perhaps best known as the mock self-help guru Stuart Smalley, Franken became synonymous with left-wing bombast thanks to his best-selling book Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot. He took the presidency itself as a joke, writing a satirical campaign memoir, Why Not Me, in which Franken wins the White House on a platform of eliminating ATM fees, only to be quickly chased out by the “Joint Congressional Committee on the President’s Mood Swings.”

But for a 2016 presidential race that’s already stranger than fiction, his party truly needs someone like Franken if it’s going to win the presidency.
Before Donald Trump, Franken wouldn’t possibly have merited serious consideration. Even though his seven-year record as a senator from Minnesota suggests he’s a genuinely committed legislator, the first rule of V.P. picks is “do no harm”—and pre-Trump, the trove of politically incorrect barbs from Franken’s past would have been far too much baggage for a presidential nominee to want to carry. The spotlight would have been on him instead of Clinton.
Candidate Trump erases the old standards. Nothing that Franken said decades ago would be remotely as incendiary as the insults Trump spews as a matter of campaign strategy. And Trump’s presence demands new rhetorical weaponry. As Trump himself might say, Franken’s “classy” and “elegant” wit is just what the ticket needs to avoid the kind of brawl that drags everyone down to Trump’s level. Clinton will want to stay above the fray, and Franken can provide the buffer.
