Al Gore, Eric Schneiderman “We are pursuing the fossil fuel companies as if they have committed fraud”

(From Craig Rucker at Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow.)

The First Amendment has left the building.

Yesterday Al Gore gathered with a group of attorneys general and judges hosted by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to announce a legal investigation of fossil fuel companies over global warming.

We posted a report by Chris White at CFACT.org:

We know because of what is already out there, there are companies using the best climate models, they know how much the sea levels are rising,” Schneiderman said. “They know all these things. Yet they have told the public that there are no effective climate models to determine the sea levels.”

The First Amendment does not protect Exxon’s actions, Schneiderman said.

The First Amendment does not give you the right to commit fraud. We are pursuing the fossil fuel companies as if they have committed fraud.”

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey upped the ante saying: ‘“There is nothing we need to worry about more than climate change. Nothing is more important, not drug abuse, not crimes against property. Nothing.”

Using our legal system to prosecute (persecute?) those with whom we disagree is modern day witch hunting at its worst.

For shame.

On May 2nd CFACT’s new film Climate Hustle will be seen in U.S. theaters coast to coast during a one-night special event.  It does a thorough job of detailing and unmasking the misleading tricks the climate change industry uses to advance its narrative.

Any eager beavers in government looking for leads for a fraud investigation should be sure to attend.

Gore and Company had best be careful what they wish for.  If government starts investigating false statements made by climate campaigners, they’re not going to like it.

Not one bit.

For nature and people too,  from Craig Rucker  at CFact.

GOP’S VULTURES FINALLY FEAST IN WISCONSIN

Mouthpieces for the GOP establishment including Dennis Prager, Fox Cable News,  William Kristol’s Weekly Standard, the folks at the dying National Review,  have finally struck up a smear victory for dweeb, lying Ted Cruz.

Their propaganda has the ever more unlearned American population believing  the boring, uninspiring,  tedious, lying Mr. Cruz or worse, the grouchy, sourpuss governor of Ohio and his twin in politics,  the Packer’s,  Paul Ryan are the truly great leaders of today’s 2016 pack of our  nation’s  problem solvers.

God forbid the country is in a hole when this is the best America can offer to remove the Obamaling  feminist, black racist,  atheist, anti-American fascists now running honesty,  freedom,  and decency into oblivion.

In a democracy the nation’s people deserve the people who rule over them.  This nation, Dennis Prager notwithstanding, has deserved its Obama-Clinton evil……and its pathetic Republican Party which has cowered in the shadows,  wussy victims of the poisons of  leftist university fascisms of political correctness.

What a breath of fresh air our Donald Trump has been in these cesspool days of our torturous American collapse!!!!    What a breath of fresh air our Dennis Prager used to be before he, too, joined the American  Roman Coliseum crowd…… Death, where is thy sting?

Have all the wolves been fed?

Ash Carter, the honest man of ObamaWorld, Calls for End of ISIS

Defense Secretary on ISIS: ‘We Need to Get This Over With’

“Asked about the fight against ISIS today, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter stressed “we need to get this over with.”

Carter was taking questions after a talk on preparing the Defense Department for the future today at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.

“Beyond terrorism, we also potentially face future nation-state adversaries with widening geographic reach but also widening exposure, something we may want to take into account in order to de-escalate a crisis and to deter aggression. In other cases, we may have to respond to multiple threats across the globe in overlapping time frames,” Carter said during his speech.

“…We’re not postured to be as agile as we could be. Accordingly, we need to clarify the role and authority of the Chairman, and in some cases the Joint Chiefs and the Joint Staff.”

In the Q&A, Carter said of ISIS, “We have got to get these guys beaten as soon as possible, which is basically where I’m coming from………”    Please continue reading below:

Panama Papers: the Stench of the Criminal Wealthy

Iceland’s leader resigns, first casualty of Panama Papers

“Iceland’s Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson resigned on Tuesday, becoming the first casualty of leaked documents from a Panamanian law firm which have shone a spotlight on the offshore wealth of politicians and public figures worldwide.

The Panama Papers showed the premier’s wife owned an offshore company with big claims on Iceland’s banks, a undeclared conflict of interest for Gunnlaugsson, infuriating many who hurled eggs and bananas in street protests calling for him to step down.

The banks collapsed as the global financial crisis hit in 2008 and many Icelanders blame politicians for not reining in their debt-fueled binge and averting a deep recession.

The more than 11.5 million documents, leaked from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, have caused public outrage over how the world’s rich and powerful are able to stash their wealth and avoid taxes while many people suffer austerity and hardship.

Mossack Fonseca, which specializes in setting up offshore companies, denies any wrongdoing. On Tuesday, the Panamanian government sought to defend the country’s reputation.

Panama President Juan Carlos Varela’s chief of staff told a news conference that the government could retaliate after France announced it would put the Central American country back on its blacklist of uncooperative tax jurisdictions. The official, Alvaro Aleman, said that no Panamanian company had been found to have committed a crime.

He added: “We are not going to allow Panama to be used as a scapegoat by third parties. Each country (implicated) is responsible.” The president had instructed the foreign ministry to contact all of the dozens of countries implicated, Aleman said.

Among those named in the documents are friends of Russian President Vladimir Putin, relatives of the leaders of China, Britain and Pakistan, and the president of Ukraine…..”
