Global Warming Fascists Active in Portland Schools

Climate book ban

“It was a pleasure to burn.”

Those stark words open Ray Bradbury’s classic novel, Fahrenheit 451, which portrays a world where firemen don’t put out fires, they burn books.  451 degrees F is the kindling point of paper.

The Portland public schools are doing their best to bring Bradbury’s nightmare to life.

They voted to ban textbooks that present both sides of the climate debate, or use such heretical words as “may, could or might” to describe the theory of man made global warming.

CFACT’s Marc Morano did a brilliant job challenging Portland’s intolerance in a televised debate on Fox News.

You can watch the debate at our Climate Depot news and information service.

“Carbon dioxide is a trace gas that is essential for life on Earth”  Morano explains to his opponent, “and you are demonizing it as tobacco, as some kind of cancer-causing gas -– it’s absurd. The idea that these kids cannot be told that there is an alternative perspective, that the 97% claim of ‘consensus’ is pure myth and fabrication. The 97% claim was ‘pulled out of thin air’ according to even UN scientists. This comes down to conformity must be enforced in the name of diversity. In the name of diversity, you MUST CONFORM! That is what they are doing here, they cannot allow dissent and its very sad for kids.”

Climate campaigners are ever eager to censor and suppress information.  They don’t fear false information, they fear the facts that debunk their propaganda.  We cannot tolerate their intolerance.

“Do you notice how people hurt each other nowadays?”  Bradbury asks in Fahrenheit 451.  “A book” he wrote, “is a loaded gun in the house next door…Who knows who might be the target of the well-read man?”   “Books are to remind us what asses and fools we are.”   “Those who don’t build must burn.”

Neither the Portland school board, nor anyone else must be permitted to tear the facts out of the climate debate.  Climate campaigners fear printed facts, lest they remind them “what asses and fools” they are…….!

The above expected announcement regarding the politics of the leftist global warming fanatics comes from Craig Rucker, the Executive Director of the “Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow”.
