Do You Remember the Happening at Entebbe 40 Years Ago?

It is likely 99% non-Jewish Americans  under age 55 even know what Entebbe is!

They have never heard of the carnivore, Idi Amin!

Is Uganda a snake?  No!  Uganda is an independent country in middle Africa.  It was dictated by a snake, named Idi Amin.   I remember the heroism….Wasn’t there only one Israeli killed during the raid?…..Prime Minister Netanyahu’s brother?

“Israel’s incredibly daring operation to free Jewish hostages held by murderous terrorists at the Entebbe airport in Uganda took place forty years ago today, as we celebrated the bicentennial Independence Day. It was a great day for freedom all the way around. Suffice it to say that the spirit of Israel’s Operation Thunderbolt holds much in common with our Independence Day.

Almost unbelievably, Prime Minister Netanyahu–the brother of the rakishly handsome Israeli officer who died leading the operation on the ground–celebrated the anniversary of the operation today as the honored guest of Uganda’s current president. (Operation Thunderbolt is now referred to as Operation Jonathan. The site honoring Jonathan Netanyahu’s memory recounts the raid on Entebbe that he led.)

If I understand correctly, and I’m not sure that I do, Netanyahu spoke the following remarks in Hebrew, the translation of which is provided at the link above. I thought our readers might be interested in the remarks as translated by the Office of the Prime Minister in addition to the remarks spoken in English on the video:

I am moved standing here as the Prime Minister of Israel, in this place that brought endless pride to our soldiers, to the IDF and to our nation. I am moved standing here, in the place where IDF soldiers liberated the hostages in the heart of Africa, thousands of kilometers from Israel, with the commanders and soldiers who took part in the operation. I am moved standing here with the relatives of Jean-Jacques Mimouni, Ida Boruhovitch, Pasco Cohen and Dora Bloch, who lost their lives at Entebbe. I am moved standing here in this place, right in the place where my brother Yoni, commander of the Special Forces unit, was killed while leading the force that stormed the old terminal, overcame the terrorists and freed the hostages.

Here, where the old terminal stood, our brethren were held hostage by cruel terrorists, and this is where our soldiers came to rescue them in a brilliant mission that is almost unparalleled in history. Entebbe is always with me, in my thoughts, in my consciousness and deep in my heart.

The hijacking of the Air France plane to Entebbe touched a raw nerve with the people of Israel. Thirty-one years after the Holocaust, Jews again had to undergo a separation of Jews and non-Jews by those who wanted to kill us. The terrorists freed the hostages of other nationalities, but they condemned the Jews to the terror of death.

Essential intelligence was provided by members of the Mossad, and the determination of the commanders, the soldiers and the pilots helped convince the Government of Israel to act. Each of you, soldiers and pilots who flew to Entebbe, those who are here and those who are not, members of the Air Force, the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit, the Paratroopers, the Golani Brigade and the Medical Corps, each of you flew here without knowing if you would come home. You came to rescue, but you knew that in the event there was a problem, there would be no one to rescue you. And despite this, each of you fought to be on the planes because you understood the importance of the mission.

The late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin deserves tremendous respect for the leadership he showed when making the fateful decision to embark on the operation. Senior partners who approved the operation and its execution include Minister of Defense Shimon Peres, Chief of General Staff Motta Gur, Air Force Commander Benny Peled, Commander of the Infantry and Paratroopers Branch Dan Shomron, who commanded the entire operation, Commander of the Paratroopers Matan Vilnai, Commander of the Golani Brigade Uri Sagi and Commander of the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit, my brother Yoni.

The General Staff Reconnaissance Unit, its commanders and its soldiers were tasked with the mission of killing the terrorists, incapacitating Idi Amin’s soldiers, grounding the MiGs and releasing the hostages. In less than an hour, our soldiers were back on their planes, but this time with the hostages, on their way home.

I wish to pay my respects to the Captain of the hijacked plane, Michel Bacos, who is in France. He and his crew stayed with the hostages out of an amazing sense of responsibility. For the families of the hostages killed during the operation and directly afterwards, the price was unbearable. The same is true for my family and for me. When Yoni died, our world was destroyed.

Not a day goes by that I do not think what might have been. If only I had not refused the unit commander, the late Uzi Yairi, who asked me to go to officers’ school. If only I had not consulted that Saturday with my older brother, who had just returned from Harvard and told me, “What’s the problem? Tell Uzi Yairi that I’ll take your place.” And then maybe Yoni wouldn’t have come to the unit, and then maybe he would not have died here at Entebbe. In any event, a short while after Yoni joined the unit, I also joined the officers’ course and we served together as commanders in the Special Forces unit.

Grief struck us, my family and the families of the hostages, as it strikes many families in Israel today, during these times of great cruelty. And despite this, the power of life sweeps us forward, and it brings us to times of hope and joy. However, the scars always remain, and they are not limited to bereavement. For 40 years, Paratrooper Surin Hershko has lived with the results of his serious injury. Surin told me more than once that if he had to do it all over again, even knowing the price, he would not hesitate for a moment. Surin Hershko represents the best, the most beautiful and noble parts of our people.

At Entebbe, justice overcame evil, and for this simple reason, the operation has earned the sympathy of the world and its praise. Operation Jonathan at Entebbe has become the symbol of standing strongly against terror. It set the rule that when the location of the hostages is known – action should be taken to rescue them. It improved Israel’s standing in the world and struck a deadly blow against terrorism. The battle against terrorism continues today. Terror threatens all countries and all continents, and we must stand against it united in spirit, a united front, in the spirit of Entebbe. This is the only way we will beat it.

Dear soldiers who fought in Entebbe, you were privileged to take part in an operation that will remain engraved in the history of our people for generations, and which is burned into the heart of everyone who wants peace. Those who follow in your footsteps, IDF soldiers from the same units that participated in the operation, are here today. As Prime Minister, I can tell you they carry the same spirit with them in their overt and covert missions, those close to home and those far away.

On behalf of the people and State of Israel, I salute you all.

A Cleansing, Uplifting  Note from conservative Prager fan, Cjack:

“Have we become a dumbed-down nation ruled by blatantly corrupt, perverse, ignorant, self-serving politicians at every level? What are we to do with our brooknik/crooknik US Attorney General Loretta Lynch?…Keeping in mind the legal troubles facing Hillary Clinton, was the Bill Clinton-Loretta Lynch meeting in Arizona just a ‘coincidental’ encounter of the perverse ex-president Bill Clinton and Ms. Loretta Lynch, US Attorney General? Will Ms. Loretta ‘Crooketta’ Lynch recuse herself from the FBI investigation of Hillary’s misdeeds at the US Department of State? Was there a discussion of dollars and deals promised on the plane by the perverse Bill Clinton, or perhaps ”dirty stuff” the Clintons may have on Loretta? Bill Clinton is certainly working hard to have his presumptuous little woman Hillary off the hook. Isn’t he?

In fact, I recall Hillary Clinton saying that if elected to the White House she would pass a law prohibiting the prosecution of living ex-presidents for their criminal and/or unconstitutional misdeeds while in office. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have noted how worried Hillary and Bill Clinton have been concerned about all that dirt in their political life? Frankly, this infamous duo has to be ranked as the most dishonorable couple in US political history.

And Barack Hussein Obama is also very concerned about his own legacy; which, to date, is one big garbage can. Could you have ever imagined a president of the United States of America issuing a directive to lift the ban on the prohibition of ‘transgenderism’ in the US military? What type of combat outfits will be designed for these misfits? Obama said he was going to transform the US; and he’s doing so at an accelerated pace because the US Congress lacks the courage and moral rectitude to stop him.

Yet my joy today is that in a few hours I’ll receive the Sabbath. Oh yes, twenty-four blessed hours of peace, rest, prayer, meditation, and spiritual bliss with my Creator. Sadly, our nation may never understand how those precious twenty-four hours can refortify it against the moral disrepair of its twisted leaders.

As we celebrate another 4th of July Independence Day, let us give thanks to the Lord of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for our blessings. Again, I shall light Sabbath candles this Friday evening, and at bedtime I shall be comforted by the bravery of our heroic ancestors who have motivated us to survive, to raise our nation up, and to put it back on its feet to stand firm against all foreign and domestic evildoers who plot to destroy it. May our land of brave men and women, always guided by justice and compassion, be forever blessed by the benevolent God of our founding fathers.

Bill Kristol’s Whining Against Our Donald Continues

Still sulking, perhaps sitting in his bedroom  with his left thumb still in his mouth, alleged conservative, Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard group continues whining about the Republican presumptive candidate for the American presidency, Our Donald J. Trump.

I do sympathize with the boy.  I also dream about the conservatism for America that wounded Republicans Americans Bill Kristol and Dennis Prager gab and write about.   I am a generation older and have witnessed every year of the constant collapse of honor and truth in my Twin Cities’ public schools, my state’s honest voting standards, the disappearance of  the civil Negro urban family and neighborhood,  the rise of its crime and racism, and the rise of American feminaziism and rank Godlessness considered by leftist as liberation from white man’s enslavement.

There is no doubt our nation’s values, knowledge  of its human story,  civility, habits have declined closer and closer to cave man and woman leftist savagery…. to Stalinist style, Venezuela Hugo Chavez style, today’s standard American educational style,  1984 newspeak…..the war stirred by  the nation’s feminazis, black racists, and generally innocent tag alongs, Latinos and other immigrants the vast majority of whom sucker Left, because that’s where the dough is, where  propaganda wins, where  plots succeed…..

Today’s Obama and Hillary  drive to sustain rule is  to build and secure a SINGLE  DEMOCRAT PARTY  PLANTATION SOCIETY where  fascists  manage without opposition…..in particular from the God fearing…..for there is no God in Leftist ‘theology’….only the chief or chiefess of the Plantation.

In almost every  position regarding  matters of human importance, religious, education, honor, knowledge, ideals, awareness of good versus bad, lessons to expose the unknown in mankind’s drive to understand why, where, how, to recognize and defend the good, I am a carbon copy of my Dennis Prager, the dozen years I have met and been aware of him.

I landscape garden….Dennis is  an inside man….(after all, Dennis is Jewish…inside people in the western world via history…I wonder if anyone knows why?…..Did you know that in Shakespearean Europe, Jews generally were not allowed to own land.   Shylock was a money-lender instead, for in the Christian world then, money-lending was considered evil.

Black Racists, Feminists, Atheists all rely on ignorant, know-nothing, riotous  followers in order to spread their poisons……today, so easy to excite  when the culture abhors amassing knowledge….witness the leftist queen,  Hillary Roddham Clinton.   Past history, they whine, was written by old white Gentile men…..THE ENEMY OF THE STATE!!

Bill Kristol is a learned man, also Jewish.  I know nothing about his Judaism, but I do know he has been a thinker.  He is  articulate.   He loves his country, its democratic institutions, and dreams of a better tomorrow.

He, like Dennis is a devoted conservative dreaming of a better American tomorrow as independent, knowledgeable adults aware of the trials of their day.   That is who I think I am…..a man who used to teach ‘Modern Problems’ to urban twelfth graders,  Russian language in high school, and visited Obama Peoples plantation, the USSR, in Summer, 1966 and again in October, 1990 when I witnessed the early stages of this Communist police-state collapsing  into  evenings of fresh – air of democratic honesty in Kiev in the then Soviet Socialist Republic of the Ukraine.

For an entire week, thousands and thousand of survivors of this mature Obama police state took turns showing pictures of loved ones, parents, brothers, fathers, grandfathers, who had long since disappeared into the night  of their “Democratic Dictatorship” never to be heard of again.

The tanks of Kiev, the hundreds motor pooled in the open  less than a mile from this dark- to-dawn eulogy, never raised their noise starting engines…..the same year “churched”, Barack Hussein Obama was sitting in the pews of leftist, black racist religious fascist, Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s own  ‘father figure’ for twenty years, yelling, “God Damn America” preaching hate against the nation still  devoted to seeking Truth.

Along comes Donald Trump who, almost a year ago by now,  announced his candidacy to run for the American presidency as a Republican.   I thought him an embarrassment to the Party at that time.   I read America’s leftist newspapers then.     Talk radio didn’t talk much.   I didn’t gamble or  gambol, nor did I golf, and checking into Trump hotels or inns would be  too expensive for me.  I knew Our Donald  was an oddity in the culture.   He carried a huge ego and seemed to like a casino life….after all, I saw him interviewed on television more than once.    Nope, not my guy for the White House, I thought at first.

Being a former high school teacher of Modern Problems, so I decided  I’d give him a chance.

I was surprised the GOP bigs  placed Trump center stage in the first debate.  He was more interesting than all of the propoliticians put together that evening.  I went to the internet…..met his family and his marital history….and a bit about his business success.   I decided to give him a chance by trying to remain neutral.    He wussed every single human animal on that stage for the most part from the beginning of these ‘debates’  to the end.

Yes, he was often all over the map.  Yes, he was not presidential upon occasion.  Why should he be?  He isn’t a practicing politician, a Republican one especially, who is afraid to say anything that might upset lefty fascists, the ones at university, the black racists, atheists, feminists.

Yes, I confess, I used to vote Democrat until 1980 when I keyed in to Ronald Reagan, and joined his “Morning in America” four years later and ever since voted as a conservative and maintained my membership in the GOP.  (Do remember, the Democrat Party of those days predated Hillary and Bill’s sex and other fests  from Arkansas to Washington, DC.

If one ignored Bill Clinton’s sex hunts from the White House, I think his eight years of presidency was a good one, one which economically benefited from Reagan policies and his “Morning in America” aura.    Kristol and other hateTrump fanatics insist, the sex fanatic Bill aside,  the Clinton presidency still was overall a disaster…..Yes, its morals, but not its economy.

Kristol writes in his Weekly Standard today:  “Two Senior Juveniles”…with a picture of Donald and Hillary heads placed side by side.  “How do they fare in the maelstrom of history?   Can a nation founded on those principles long endure…referring to the Declaration of Independence.” when some ‘fluke’citizen builder  like our non-politician, U.S. businessman Donald Trump  has the chutzpah to nose into and, worse, win the GOP presidential primaries.   Kristol again: “The 9/11 generation – the young men and women who have volunteered by the hundreds of thousands to fight since the attack on America 15 years ago – provide the most recent evidence that we retain,  as a nation that kind of weight and elevation.  All is not, in today’s America, merely  high or  low….Trump or Hillary.”….but, then, read the Weekly Standard Bill Kristol peeve for yourself:
