Conrad Black Reviews “The Genius” of Donald Trump

Conrad Black: The genius of Donald Trump

by Conrad Black at the National Post:

“Even in the week that he is nominated by the Republican party for the presidency of the United States, intelligent people fail in droves to understand what Donald Trump has accomplished. It was disappointing to read the editorial in this newspaper on Tuesday that “a Trump presidency would be a descent into the uncertainties of anger, bitterness, and division … a recipe for disaster.” This is a widespread view, but it is bunk. It reminds me of Tom Wicker’s prediction in The New York Times the Sunday before the inauguration of Richard Nixon in 1969, that the president-elect would “blow up the world,” and by Scotty Reston in the same newspaper about 12 years later that Ronald Reagan would be a complete failure who would ride back to California like a disillusioned cowboy after his first term. As the world knows, but may have forgotten, Nixon ended school segregation and the draft and the endless riots and the skyjackings and the assassinations, reduced the crime rate, founded the Environmental Protection Agency, opened relations with China and a peace process in the Middle East, extracted the U.S. from Vietnam while retaining a non-communist government in Saigon, and signed the greatest arms control agreement in world history with the U.S.S.R. while re-establishing American nuclear superiority, and was re-elected by 18 million votes. The subsequent Watergate nonsense, tawdry though it was, doesn’t alter the fact that his was one of the most successful presidential terms in U.S. history. It is probably better remembered that Reagan produced America’s greatest economic boom of the 20th century and bloodlessly won the Cold War, and was re-elected by 15 million votes.

I don’t predict the same level of success for Donald Trump, but such a performance is more likely than the triumph of bigotry, discord and international conflict that the Post editorial, in the prevailing conventional wisdom, foresees. These parrots of gloom should be celebrating the fact that one of the only moderates among the Republican candidates won. Senator Ted Cruz pitched his campaign to the Bible-thumping corn-cobbers with M16 rifles in the rear windows of their pickup trucks and announced that God had told him to run. Trump and Sanders are the only candidates who favour universal health care, and Trump, contrary to a great deal of unfounded over-reactive comment about him, never said anything remotely antagonistic about women, gays, African-Americans or Latinos who came to the U.S. legally……”   Please read every word of this singularly outstanding article by Mr. Black review the Trump phenomenon thus far.

I was converted a year ago from a person whose disdain for the  Trump I have read  from the newspapers to the Donald who identified  Rosie O’Donnell so perfectly on Fox that August 6 debate night…..

I don’t watch much tv  stuff beyond National Geographic, Smithsonian, NFL football, and Fox (antiTrump) News on television….after all, I  have never been a Marxist, a sexist,  or racist like most Hillary  Democrats these days.    I voted for my first Republican, Ronald Reagan, as a Democrat in 1980 when America was far more American even under weakling, the sour puss Jimmy Carter, than even during the last days of sweet, the kind and decent GW….until the white part of the red educated black foreigner to all things American, Barack Hussein Obama, showed up in the White House to launch his evils, his  programs of entrapping citizens to become slaves of the state   for the sake of leftist good.

Nearly every American institution of significance today, even some religious and many economic, support an authoritarian establishment of dictating human behavior.   They rely on an invasion of  Latino immigrants their language and habits as weapons to make disappear the rule of Law based upon our nation’s JudeoChristian  religious principles and those now hated American fathers who dreamed and framed our basic Rules of Law, our American Federal Constitution because they were WHITE, GODFEARING HUMAN MALES.

Go Donald Trump…..or Go Leftist Fascism and  Governor Brown’s California  HERE WE COME!

Hillary Picks Islamist Tim Kaine for Her Veep

Clinton VP Pick Tim Kaine’s Islamist Ties

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s newly-announced running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, has a history of embracing Islamists. He appointed a Hamas supporter to a state immigration commission; spoke at a dinner honoring a Muslim Brotherhood terror suspect; and received donations from well-known Islamist groups.

In 2007, Kaine was the Governor of Virginia and, of all people, chose Muslim American…….”

Heather MacDonald: Trump Right about Crime in America

Trump Is Right about Crime

The media rushes to downplay the post-Ferguson shooting and homicide surge—and its effect on black lives.

by Heather Mac Donald  at City Journal:

“It is remarkable how little black lives matter when they have not been taken by a police officer. The mainstream media is foaming at the mouth over Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s warnings about rising crime during his Thursday night convention speech. Trump pointed out that homicides were up nearly 17 percent in the largest 50 cities. (The latest research actually shows a nearly 17 percent increase in the 56 largest cities). There have been more than 2,000 shooting victims this year in Chicago, he said, and more than 3,600 killed in Chicago since President Obama took office.

The overwhelming majority of the victims in this post-Ferguson shooting and homicide surge have been black. In Baltimore, for example, 45 people were killed in July 2015 alone; 43 of them were black. Baltimore’s per capita murder rate was the highest in its history in 2015. In Chicago, 2,460 blacks were shot in 2015—lethally or non-lethally—or nearly seven blacks a day. By contrast, 78 whites were shot in Chicago, or one every 4.6 days. Twelve cities with large black populations saw murders rise anywhere from 54 percent—in the case of Washington, D.C.—to 90 percent, in Cleveland.”   Please read on:
