Climate Science Lost in the Classroom

CLIMATE SCIENCE LOST IN THE CLASSROOM

by David Rothbard  at Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow

Climate science:  Students taught advocacy in place of science

Climate scientist Dr. David Legates reports at CFACT.org that too often propaganda substitutes for science in climate education.

“Students are increasingly being fed climate change advocacy as a surrogate for becoming climate science literate,” Legates writes. “This makes them easy targets for the climate alarmism that pervades America today.”

Legates appeared on a panel in April during the Capitol Hill premiere of CFACT’s new filmClimate Hustle – which is now available for pre-order on DVD and Blu-ray.

Legates asks, “How can students understand and put into perspective their influence on the Earth’s climate if they don’t understand the myriad of processes that affect our climate? If they don’t understand the complexity of climate itself? If they are told only human aspects matter? And if they don’t understand these processes, how can they possibly comprehend how climate influences them and society in general?”

Enlisting the young in support of an ideology is a tired old trick.

Today’s young people deserve a genuine scientific education.

A generation of open-minded, well-informed, inquiring minds would spell doom for the climate campaign.

That campaigners would rather teach advocacy in place of science is not a surprise. That they get away with it is a scandal.

Virginia’s Hillary Governor’s Converting 200,000 felons to her voters hit a Brick Wall!

Governor Terry McAuliffe’s freeing  felons in order to vote for Hillary for president fails. Do read the following article by Jazz Shaw at Hot Air  about the governor’s gift going  bad.

“If you’ve been following the news out of Virginia this year you’re likely already aware of Governor Terry McAuliffe’s recent executive order restoring voting rights to convicted felons. Rather than some sort of rehabilitation program for former inmates trying to reestablish themselves in civil society, McAuliffe went several steps further, including convicts who are still in prison or on probation. That list contained at least 132 sexual predators who were considered too dangerous to cut loose, but apparently were fine to run for office or help elect those who would be tasked with enforcing the law. The fact that this effort would likely pay off in huge numbers of new Democrats in a swing state right before a presidential election was widely considered too impolite to bring up in cable news circles.

It looked like a done deal, too, at least until the dictate was challenged through the normal channels. The state supreme court brought the hammer down this week and said that the Governor was exercising a power which simply does not exist. (NPR)

Washington Post Propagandist Discovers Donald is not Ronald….WOW…such insight!

Think of all of the millions of words Washington, New York political pundits manufacture each year making writing nothing worth reading and ‘earning’  their living off  the fraud.

Most of these pundits reside at the Washington Post, New York Times and rule television and radio establishment distributions of whatever is declared  news.  Did you really believe Our Donald Trump thought he was Ronald Reagan, dead or alive?

Did our Donald claim to be the second coming of the Ronald?

Please read the following article by Lou Cannon who discovered a difference or two between our Donald and Ronald….one of whom has been dead for some time.   Where does Our Donald declare he is the second coming of the Ronald?  Perhaps he is merely selling his book.

I COVERED RONALD REAGAN.  MR. TRUMP, YOU’RE NO RONALD REAGAN

by Lou Cannon  at Washington Post:

Lou Cannon covered the 1980 campaign and the Reagan presidency for The Post. He is the author of “President Reagan: The Role of a Lifetime.”

The presidential nominee quoted Franklin D. Roosevelt and Thomas Paine, the most radical of the Founding Fathers. He asked all Americans for their support. “More than anything else,” he said, “I want my candidacy to unify our country; to renew the American spirit and sense of purpose. I want to carry our message to every American, regardless of party affiliation, who is a member of this community of shared values.”

This was Ronald Reagan, accepting the nomination of the Republican Party on July 17, 1980, at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit with a speech that in tone and much of the substance was the resonant opposite of the dark vision that Donald Trump presented in Cleveland. Reagan wanted to govern. He believed as firmly as Trump does now that the Democratic administration then in power had failed the American people, but he also realized he needed the support of many Democrats and independents — not just to win but to have a successful presidency…..”   Please read on:
