Charles Blow: The Black Racist Mind Working Overtime at the NY Times

America Elects a Bigot

by Charles M. Blow  at the New York Times:

“Donald J. Trump is president-elect of the United States. Now there’s a sentence I never thought I’d write.

Against all odds and against all forms of the establishment, he prevailed. He won, legitimately, including in many states that were thought to be safely blue. The pundits and the polls were wrong. There was more pent-up hunger for change — and also racial, ethnic and economic angst — than many models considered.

Mr. Trump will become this country’s 45th president. For me, it is a truly shocking fact, a bitter pill to swallow. I remain convinced that this is one of the worst possible people who could be elected president. I remain convinced that Trump has a fundamentally flawed character and is literally dangerous for world stability and injurious to America’s standing in that world.

There is so much that I can’t fully comprehend.

It is hard to know specifically how to position yourself in a country that can elect a man with such staggering ineptitude and open animus. It makes you doubt whatever faith you had in the country itself.

Also, let me be clear: Businessman Donald Trump was a bigot. Candidate Donald Trump was a bigot. Republican nominee Donald Trump was a bigot. And I can only assume that President Donald Trump will be a bigot.

It is absolutely possible that America didn’t elect him in spite of that, but because of it. Consider that for a second. Think about what that means. This is America right now: throwing its lot in with a man who named an alt-right sympathizer as his campaign chief.

  1. Black bigotry against the White folks in America will never end; an irrational Black-American ‘social disease’ enveloping the world’ our first Black president, Barack Hussein Obama, has much to do with. In fact, my last trip to Europe was not joyful, the air was acrid from the racism permeating the old continent. France, for example, illegal refugees blamed the “racist” US for the social disrepair in Africa and the Middle-East. Those comments got me so heated at an outdoor café, I asked those idiots why in hell they left their “paradises” to get to “hell” in Europe? In no uncertain terms I challenged them about the sorry living conditions created by their own governments; conditions brought on by endemically corrupt governments, non-profit European and American entities and charities have tried to improve. I led my charge bolstered by the affirmation (clapping) of a small group of fellow diners in an unassuming sidewalk café in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. And just like in “Rick’s Cafe” in the movie ” Casablanca” we all began to sing “La Marseillaise”…”Allons infants de la Patrie, Le jour de glorie est arrivé!…I was just a ‘politically incorrect’ American, accompanied by ‘politically incorrect’ French citizens, standing up to ungrateful disorderly ‘transgressors’ soiling the sacred grounds of “La Grande République Française.” “Vive La France!”

Messrs. Charles M. Blow and Van Jones, take your racism elsewhere; we had have enough of it! Long live the United States of America!

  2. …correction…”In France, for example”…”non-profit European and American corporations, religious groups and charities have tried to improve”…Thanks, GHR.

American Democracy has been reaffirmed with the election of Mr. Donald Trump to the Presidency of the United States. As expressed in the founding documents of our free republic we, the American people, have chosen to reject the eight years of political stupidity of Barack Hussein Obama, the Marxist doctrinaire we accidentally elected to our nation’s highest office in 2008. Let us hope, however, that we have reminded ourselves, and the world, we are a nation of laws, not of men. And we shall hold that truth, to be self-evident.
