Homeless Tom Friedman
Writing for the New York Times on the morning after Donald Trump’s election victory, Thomas Friedman lamented, “[A]t the moment I am in anguish, frightened for my country and for our unity. And for the first time, I feel homeless in America.”
I’m pretty sure Friedman is speaking in metaphoric manner. I used to live a few neighborhoods away from Friedman. Here’s his house:
Completed in 2003 on over 7 acres of prime Bethesda, Maryland inside-the-DC Beltway real estate, and consisting of 10 baths and 11,420 square feet, the home’s current tax value is in excess of $9 million.
Not too shabby for a poor guy who feels homeless! What he’s really saying is that he has suddenly realized he is completely detached from Main Street Americans.
I wonder why.
(Note from Minnesota local yokels: This above Friedman is a graduate of St. Louis Park High School here in Twin Cities, Minnesota.
California friend Lisa Rich originally from the Minneapolis area sent the above photos of this noted New York Times propagandist Thomas Friedman’s misery and suffering…..Poor baby! Perhaps his poverty carries over to explain his inability to appear as guest on radio’s popular Dennis Prager show, or find a more honest occupation.)
