Leftists Slowly Turning Off the Faucet of Free Speech

The majority of my fellow black friends, family, and associates are low-info voters. They look at me in stunned disbelief when I tell them that every negative thing they believe about conservatives/Republicans is true of leftist/Democrats.

For example: leftists say conservatives are intolerant. In reality, leftists are the ones totally intolerant of opposing views. Fake news media is not reporting that leftist operatives are physically beating up people and pushing legislation to jail people who will not submit to leftists’ anti-God and anti-America agendas.  In essence, leftists are repealing our constitutional right to free speech.

Recently, a dozen Cheesecake Factory employees approached the table of a young black customer.  Incredibly, the employees harassed and threaten to punch the restaurant’s patron in his face for wearing a MAGA hat.

Can you believe that, folks?  Had the employees attacked a customer wearing a Black Lives Matter or homosexual rainbow logo hat, outraged leftists would demand that the Cheesecake Factory fire the employees immediately.  By the way, the courageous young black customer has a good reason to support Trump.  Black unemployment is at an all-time low.

With leftist college professors condoning violence to silence politically incorrect speech, a disturbing 19% of college students believe they have the moral high ground to physically assault people who express opinions they don’t like.  So it is not surprising that seniors and veterans have been brutalized for wearing “Make America Great Again” attire.  A 9-year-old was harassed and forbidden to wear his MAGA hat to school.

Leftists put out narratives on various issues and then socially and physically beat the crap out of anyone who dares to challenge what leftists deem true.

Enraged leftists descended upon my wife with furious anger on Facebook for daring to say stats prove that cops do not routinely murder blacks.  Data confirm that blacks are the ones murdering blacks in record numbers in urban Democrat strongholds.  Leftists quickly attacked my wife to defend their evil lie, which has led to Black Lives Matter ambushing and assassinating police across America.

Another leftist lie that you had better not get caught challenging – especially if you are black – is that America is an eternally racist hellhole for blacks.  Leftists are trying to economically and socially beat the crap out of black Millennials Kanye West and Candace Owens for suggesting that blacks should stop clinging to victim status and pursue their dreams.

I roll my eyes when black walking-dead leftist zombies lecture me about how white America hated Obama being in the White House.

Blacks are only 12% of the population.  Therefore, white America elected a black president two times.  Black media queen Oprah is worth two billion dollars.  Obama’s “PROMISE program” forbids schools from reporting or punishing bad behavior by minority students.  Beginning in kindergarten through college, white students are taught to hate themselves for being white.  It is counterproductive for blacks to continue viewing themselves as victims, still singing, “We Shall Overcome.”

Folks, did you ever think a day would come when leftists would demand that we do not state the truth that there are only two sexes?

College student Lake Ingle was kicked out of class for saying biologists officially say there are only two sexes.

Leftists have decreed that there are 71 different “genders,” including no-gender and gender-fluid.  Anyone caught publicly stating otherwise will suffer public humiliation and dire social, economic, and even physical consequences.  And yet leftists are praised as paragons of tolerance.

Obama’s DoJ wanted to throw scientists in jail who disagreed with man-made climate change.  A California bill seeks to criminalize speaking biblical views on sexuality.  Remember the mentally disabled white man four leftists kidnapped and tortured for saying he liked Trump?  Intolerant of allowing parents to teach their children their values and principles, leftists seek to make homeschooling illegal.

Leftists have brainwashed our kids into believing that not hurting feelings should trump freedom.  In less than an hour, 50 people on the campus of Yale signed a bogus petition to end our First Amendment.  The First Amendment protects our free speech, religion, assembly, press, and petition.  This sounds pretty intolerant to me.

Intolerant Missouri student V.P. Brenda Smith-Lezama wants our First Amendment right to free speech repealed because it causes an “unsafe” learning environment.  Can you imagine a young person spouting this crap?  When I attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in the ’70s, we were encouraged to extend our thinking as far as our imaginations would allow.  Today, colleges demand that everyone think the same.

In a nutshell, intolerant leftists are hyper-aggressively silencing free speech via bullying and criminalization while deceptively portraying themselves as victims of hate from intolerant mainstream Americans.

Like the title of the old Marvin Gaye song, it is time for the American people to realize “What’s Going On.”  Now that you know, it is time for Americans to stand.

“Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf said in a recent op-ed for the Washington Post that she originally ran for office because she wanted to change the way things operate. She may be changing things more than she thought and in ways she never imagined. Following calls to investigate her decision to alert illegal aliens in her community to an impending ICE raid, Iowa Congressman Steve King (R) has introduced legislationwhich could lock up public officials obstructing justice in this fashion for as much as five years. (Washington Times)

Tipping illegal immigrants off to a looming immigration sweep could net sanctuary city leaders jail time, under a bill announced Monday by Rep. Steve King.

The Iowa Republican dubbed the bill the Mayor Libby Schaaf Act, after the Oakland mayor who alerted California’s Bay Area to an impending sweep this year, a move that immigration officials said helped hundreds of people escape detection.

At the time, the chief of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Ms. Schaaf was essentially acting as a “gang lookout” tipping off lawbreakers when police came through their neighborhood.

Mr. King’s bill would include a penalty of up to five years in prison for any state or local official who obstructs enforcement of federal laws.

“I want lawless, Sanctuary City politicians to hear this message clearly: If you obstruct ICE, you are going to end up in the cooler,” Mr. King said in announcing his bill.

I somehow doubt that King is expecting much support from his Democratic colleagues on this one and the bill may be nothing more than an effort to make a point in this debate. I’m also not sure there’s really a need for such a law. As we’ve discussed here previously, we already have laws on the books which cover this. Under Title 8, Chapter 12, anyone can be charged with harboring or shielding from detection any illegal aliens, leaving them subject to a fine and/or not more than 10 years in prison. I see no reason why an elected official such as a mayor wouldn’t be subject to that law.

Then again, when it’s a public official doing it, that’s a special sort of violation in some ways because they’re violating their oath of office and undermining the laws they are sworn to uphold. In that sense, perhaps a special law specifically covering elected officials might be in order.

Of course, even if this gets signed into law it won’t apply to Mayor Schaaf, so she doesn’t have much to worry about. You can’t prosecute someone for a law passed after they commit the act, so unless Schaaf plans to do any additional gang signaling when ICE is coming to town she should be in the clear.

I do hope that this bill at least earns time for an open debate on the floor of the House. If nothing else, it will be entertaining to see if any Democrats are willing to take to the podium and argue against holding elected officials accountable when they flout the law. How does one even begin to structure such an argument? If you’re going to start making exceptions under the law for people in public office that could lead to all manner of uncomfortable conversations in the current climate of Washington.

Will Justice Find James Clapper, Obama’s Head of National Intelligence IN JAIL FOR PERJURY AND PLOT?

MORE EVIDENCE OF DEEP STATE COLLABORATION WITH CNN ON THE STEELE DOSSIER

I believe most Power Line readers know the story of how the infamous anti-Trump dossier compiled by Christopher Steele, and in particular its most salacious contents, found its way into the mainstream media. To recap, CNN had the dossier in late 2016 and was looking for an excuse (a hook) to report on its most salacious contents, even though they had not been verified. On January 6, James Comey briefed Trump on those contents, supposedly to protect him in case CNN and/or other outlets reported them.

Then, on January 10, CNN published a story on the dossier’s most salacious contents, on the pretext that, since Trump had now been briefed, it was legitimate news notwithstanding the unverified nature of these contents. That same day, Buzzfeed published the entire dossier.

In other words, CNN was waiting for a hook to publish unverified, damaging material about Trump. Comey provided that hook on the pretense of “protecting” Trump. CNN then published.

There’s more. As we discussed here, based on the reporting of Sean Davis, James Clapper appears to have helped choreograph this dance. It was Clapper who told Comey to brief Trump on the dossier. And it might well have been Clapper who passed the word to CNN that Trump had been briefed — and thus that CNN had the hook it needed to publish the unverified, salacious information from which the deep state supposedly was protecting Trump.

Clapper initially testified to Congress that he did not “discuss the dossier or any other intelligence related to Russia hacking of the 2016 election with journalists.” However, when confronted specifically about conversations with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Clapper acknowledged discussing the dossier with Tapper and admitted he might have spoken with other journalists about the same topic. These discussions took place in early January, right around the time CNN learned that Trump had been briefed, clearing the way for it to publish.

But Clapper wasn’t the only member of the deep state who was in this CNN loop. Andrew McCabe was also involved.

We know this from emails obtained and released by Sen. Ron Johnson. On January 8, two days after the Comey-Trump briefing and two days before the CNN story appeared, the then-FBI Deputy Director wrote the following to senior FBI leadership, under the subject “Flood is coming”:

CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story. . .The trigger for them [sic] is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment.

As Sean Davis explains, “sensitive story” is the term the FBI and others in the Obama administration had been using to refer to the salacious content in the Trump dossier.

McCabe wasn’t finished emailing about the coming “flood.” That same day, he emailed Sally Yates:

Just an FYI, and as expected, it seems CNN is close to running a story about the sensitive reporting.

I construe this as signaling “mission accomplished” to a fellow member of the mission team (Yates and McCabe were using the same code words to describe the salacious dossier material). Apparently, there was no need for a similar email to Clapper.

How did McCabe know what CNN was “close” to doing ? Perhaps Clapper told him. More likely, he was communicating directly with CNN. Keep in mind that McCabe was fired because he indulged in unauthorized leaking to journalists and then lied about it.

Sen. Johnson has sent a letter to FBI Director Wray setting forth the timeline established by the McCabe’s emails and propounding five requests for information. Among the five are:

The date and circumstances by which the FBI first learned that media outlets, including CNN, may have possessed the Steele Dossier.

All documents and communications between or among James Comey and James Clapper or their staffs referring or relating to Director Comey’s briefing of President-elect Trump about the Steele Dossier.

All documents and communications between or among FBI employees and other Executive officials or employees referring or relating to the “sensitive matter” or to Director Comey’s communication to then-President-elect Trump about the existence of the Steele Dossier.

These are good requests. However, even if the FBI complies, it won’t eliminate the need to put Clapper, McCabe, Comey, and Yates under oath and to ask them the hard questions about this matter.
