A Welcomed Lesson from Cjack at Lighthouse Gazette on the Gulf

The following article by Cjack, our top notch conservative man “on the Gulf”….

Dear Editors of The Atlantic (in response to The Atlantic’s “Don’t Vote for Trump” November 2016)…

We, the ‘know-something’ Americans, in a firm but humble way, by use of the ballot, on November 8th chose to reject your over-pontificated endorsement of the corrupt and arrogant Hillary Rodham Clinton; an emotionally unstable, coarse, intellectually shallow, and amoral political profiteer. Instead, we chose to elect a self-funding non politician who articulated the plight of that America long forgotten by the elite eastern Democrats. In the candid pragmatist Donald J. Trump we saw a successful free-market American capitalist willing to invest a good portion of his hard-earned fortune to pursue the presidency of his country; not for profit, but for the explicit purpose of extricating his beloved land from the dire straits in which the Democrat Party has plunged it.

“In the ignorant of, and indifferent to, the Constitution Donald Trump” (as you described our candidate)…we saw a plain-spoken common man who dared to openly challenge the  corrupt Democrats and their dastard “deep state” Kremlin ‘mole’ Hillary Rodham Clinton…and her well-oiled and amply funded machinery. And by golly he succeeded! Donald J. Trump, the billionaire businessman who according to the smug Editors at The Atlantic…“is not a man of ideas”…was heard loud and clear by the forgotten and discounted American voter who acted in defense of the US Constitution and American democracy.

Eureka!..Our man Trump was right! The Atlantic’s ‘exceptionally virtuous’ candidate  Hillary Rodham Clinton has been confirmed to be the scurrilous, unpatriotic ‘mole’ at the service of the Kremlin…locked, sealed, and delivered to Comrade Vladimir Putin for a tidy $145,000.000 donation to the Clinton Foundation…not to  mention the additional $500,000 paid to her “hubby” Bill for his “speech” in Moscow to a Russian business group.

Therefore we ask “The Atlantic”: Is there a “deep state” plotting to overthrow our duly elected President, or not?…What has The Atlantic to say after two-years of the harassed but transparent and, thus far, successful Trump presidency?…Is Donald J. Trump an agent of the Kremlin, “ignorant of, and  indifferent to, the Constitution”?…Why haven’t  you asked these questions of Barack Obama’s presidency?!

CJack, Editor, Lighthouse Gazette on the Gulf…January 20, 2019

P.S. I no longer subscribe to The Atlantic Magazine. Instead, I’ll augment my donations to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, to improve the living conditions of the poor in Israel. What say you…at The Atlantic?

We hope you continue to be healthy, wealthy, and wise!  ghr

Communist Media Matters Attacking Tucker Carlson

by Scott Johnson  at PowerLine:

The totalitarian left in the form of Media Matters for Communists has undertaken a campaign against Tucker Carlson. Bubba Clem provides the background to the MMC campaign in the Wall Street Journal column “The speech police come for Tucker Carlson.” Last night Tucker undertook to return fire (video below). Tom Lifson takes note at American Thinker in “Media Matters has been throwing stones at Tucker Carlson from its own glass house.” Derek Hunter has more in this Townhall column

I think I can say that in this battle we support Tucker without reservation. Speaking metaphorically, may he beat the face of MMC — here I borrow an old formulation from Howard Cosell — to a bloody pulp.

Sweet AOC…..The Rise of Feminazis in America?

by Scott Johnson  at PowerLine:

Now that we now that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her friends are running the Democratic Party, or wielding a veto power over the party leaders, attention must be paid. Attention comes at a cost, for her musings present an extended case study in stupidity. She spouts stupidity in stream of consciousness form. How long before we are treated to a little red book compiling quotations from Chairman AOC?

Her latest musings have been captured by The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra in “Ocasio-Cortez: State Of America Is ‘Garbage,’ Reagan Pitted Whites Against Minorities.” FOX news has more here, the Hill here.

They serve as a useful reminder. It is not just President Trump whom the left routinely decries as racist. Nixon was racist. Reagan was racist. Was George W. Bush racist? If not, he was certainly Hitler, in the other recurring trope of the leftover left. Nixon was Hitler, Reagan was Hitler, Bush was Hitler, and now Trump is Hitler too.

Saavedra quotes AOC speaking at the South by Southwest Conference in Austin. She probably picked this up in one of her BU economics courses: “One perfect example, I think a perfect example of how special interests and the powerful have pitted white working-class Americans against brown and black working-class Americans in order to just screw over all working-class Americans, is Reaganism in the ’80s when he started talking about welfare queens. So you think about this image of welfare queens and what he was really trying to talk about was … this like really resentful vision of essentially black women who were doing nothing that were ‘sucks’ on our country.”

Wait, there’s more.

“And it’s this whole tragedy of the commons type of thinking where it’s like because these one, this one specific group of people, that you are already kind of subconsciously primed to resent, you give them a different reason that’s not explicit racism but still rooted in a racist caricature,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “It gives people a logical reason, a ‘logical’ reason to say, ‘oh yeah, no, toss out the whole social safety net.’”

What is she talking about? It’s a good thing the moderator didn’t ask her.

She also gave a short course in American history featuring this quotable quote: “It’s just that now we’ve strayed so far away from what has really made us powerful, and just, and good, and equitable, and productive, and so I think all of these things sound radical compared to where we are but where we are is not a good thing. And this idea of like 10 percent better from garbage, is, shouldn’t be what we settle for, it’s like this like it feels like moderate is not a stance it’s just an attitude toward life of like hmmm.”

Her metaphorical use of the term “garbage” is jarring. Our present condition is somehow represented as garbage, or slightly better, while the lucky beneficiaries of her preferred policies are literally eating garbage in Venezuela. I am quite sure that what we have here is a textbook case of projection.
