The Rising Dem Stars….”The Squad”

MEET THE SQUAD

by  John Hinderaker   at PowerLine:

The White House has taken aim against the the Squad (“leaders of the Democrat Party”) with this highly effective video. It features President Trump quoting Squad members before an audience, followed by video of the Squad member (Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley) saying exactly what Trump alleged. The video clips expose the Squad’s racism, anti-Americanism, and sheer stupidity. I expect this ad will rack up millions of views over the next few days:

Meet the Squad

Truth Exposed: Today’s Democrats, NOT TRUMP, Are the Racists!

The Democrats, Not Trump, Are the Racists

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) speaks to media on Capitol Hill

It doesn’t take Nostradamus, or even a Coney Island fortune teller, to predict the coming Democratic presidential debates will be filled to overflowing with accusations of racism toward Donald Trump.

Not only that, the candidates will certainly be doing their bests, directly or by innuendo, to tarnish each other with the same ugly brush in an almost always fallacious manner. But when it comes to the real, down-home, George-Wallace-Segregation-Now-Segregation-Forever racial bigotry, it will be Donald Trump by a landslide. To them, POTUS is the big, bad, racist wolf.

This is, will be, and has been from the beginning one of the purest examples of projection since Sigmund Freud described this form of psychological hysteria in The Neuro-Psychoses of Defence (1894).

The Democrats are the true racists. The more they and their press lackeys call others racist, the more racist they are — and the more racism they generate. These days one might as well call the Democratic Party The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Racism.

They do this every day through the promulgation of identity politics, which is no more than segregationism repurposed and given a slick veneer for the 21st century via intersectionality and similar bogus academic nonsense. But it doesn’t end there. It’s a daily, even hourly, assault, the latest occurrence being the uproar over Trump’s characterization in a tweet of Rep. Elijah Cummings’ Baltimore as “violent & filthy.”

Did this have anything to do with Cummings being black? Of course not. But it certainly has to do with Cummings’ own over-the-top characterization of our southern border, which Trump considered radically unfair and purely politically motivated. Tit for tat. We’ve seen that from Trump before and will again. He punches back, sometimes too easily. But color is of no consequence, not even slightly. You could be a card-carrying member of the DAR descended directly from Betsy Ross and Trump would go after you if you went after him.

Nevertheless, it had to be called racism by the real racists — projection again. (This creepy, psychologically-deformed behavior was frequently lampooned by Aristophanes in his plays, long before Freud gave it a name. Molière also had a good time with this hypocrisy in The Miser and The Misanthrope. Only now it’s not a laughing matter.)

And speaking of unfair, exactly what is the condition of Baltimore today? Like most American cities governed for decades by Democrats — from Detroit to now Los Angeles, San Franciso, and Seattle with their ghastly homeless epidemics — the word “miserable” seems appropriate or perhaps “wretched” or “revolting” (but not in the sense of revolutionary; in the sense of “What a revoltin’ development this is” in The Life of Riley).

And is Baltimore safe? US News gives it a poor rating, 3.9/10, stating: “Baltimore’s crime rate is significantly higher than the national rate, with the metro area experiencing its fair share of violent crime – particularly within the city proper.” As for Trump’s accusation of its being “rat-infested,” it ranks eighth nationally hereand ninth here. That’s out of some 35,000 cities in this country. I’m not sure how many of those got surveyed by Orkin, but Baltimore’s results are not exactly auspicious.

The conclusion we are supposed to glean from this, the rule of rules that must be obeyed at all costs, is that whites are always wrong when criticizing blacks. That conception is quite simply mentally deranged. It is sick, completely reactionary politically and inherently racist in and of itself. And yet it is adhered to by the Democratic Party and their media lackeys with an orthodoxy even Opus Dei would envy.

And we are soon going to see it revved up even further. During the coming debates, desperate candidates like Cory Booker and Beto O’Rourke are likely to hurl unfounded accusations of racism at Biden and Sanders. (These men have many failings, but racism isn’t one of them.). Kamala Harris will continue her equally unfounded attack on Biden. Pete Buttigieg will try to find some way to deflect racism charges against him by his black constituents back home, possibly by making the most vicious attacks on Trump of all. (Easy enough. His background is Gramscian, so the ends justify the means.). And so it will go. None of this will have anything to do with reality.

Nor will the corresponding attacks for sexism. Speaking of desperation, Kirsten Gillibrand, currently without enough votes to be high school class treasurer, will be going after Biden for his alleged discrimination against women. As herspokesperson said, “Kirsten believes we need to have a broader and more intentional conversation about valuing women in this country and even this primary, and she intends to do so in the coming days. Stay tuned.”

No, thank you. Identity politics gives me hives.

(NOTE TO KIRSTEN: Have you noticed vastly more young women are attending college these days than young men, making the future particularly grim for males? I guess not.)

(FURTHER NOTE: Neo-Neocon has it right.  Trump’s not a”racist.”  He’s a “rattist.”

Roger L. Simon was a civil rights worker in the sixties, donor to the Black Panthers in the seventies (apologies for that one), writer for Richard Pryor in the eighties, and leader of the Writers Guild’s rebuilding South Central libraries after the King riots in the nineties. He is now, he assumes, in the eyes of most Democrats, a racist.

CJack: The DNC Racist Assault On America

The DNC racist assault on America….

The level of obscenities and false accusations launched against our duly elected 45th President, Donald J. Trump cannot go unchallenged. If our nation is to survive it most overcome the moral and spiritual decline brought about under Barack Obama; a man whose ascent to our highest office was celebrated by the ghosts of Sodom & Gomorrah.

Though Obama made clear his rejection of our nation’s founding values and ideals, only a few courageous religious leaders dared to publicly denounce his perverted agenda and treachery. Lamentably most of Conservative America remain in fear of being branded ‘racist’ even as as the nation’s pride and dignity is trampled by black racists, rappers, gays and other fringe elements assaulting on our duly elected government and our academic and religious institutions. This network of Obama radicals continues with impunity to attack our Judeo-Christian foundation and Constitutional order. ‘A nation divided cannot stand forever.’

….An example of fiscal turpitude by the Democrats…

The 94th United States Congress Sessions, First: January 14, 1975—December 19, 1975…Second: January 19, 1976—October 1, 1976.
Senate Majority…Democratic.
House Majority…Democratic.

“In 1975 the Democrat-controlled Congress retrofitted the elevators in the Capitol building to make them automatic; yet the same dimwitted Congress continued to spend the taxpayers’ money to pay salaries of elevator operators to operate the automatic elevators.”

Historically the Democrats have been known to stupidly spend the taxpayers’ money.

Since 1996 the loudmouth, empty-suit Baltimore bully Elijah Cummings (D) has represented Maryland’s 7th district with nothing notable to show. Yet President Trump has been called a racist by the corrupt and incompetent race hustlers Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D) and the NAACP for citing the deplorable social conditions in Elijah Cummings’ district.

We have had enough of the Democrats’ race card. The United States of America is not a racist nation…its white citizenry is not responsible for the social disrepair in the black community. Only a return of black America to its civic pride, self-discipline, adequate education and hard work will solve its social and economic problems. I ask, in fact, why have not the exceedingly wealthy blacks invested in the business development of the black community? Moreover, what has happened to black America’s powerful religious conservatives who defeated Jim Crow and the segregationist democrats in the South? Evidently the Democrats of this 21st century prefer to rule by partisan politics than by bipartisan edict.

The appointment of Robert Mueller as ‘special counsel’ to investigate our duly elected president about a “Trump-Russia collusion” based on a bogus “dossier’ of preposterous lascivious activities funded by Hillary Clinton and the DNC has to be the most scandalous incident of dirty politics perpetrated against our nation. Moreover, it should be embarrassing for the black community not to condemn the conspiracy of our first black president Barack Obama and his ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to overturn the legal election of Donald Trump to the White House. Have they failed to accept we are a nation of the people, by the people, for the people, as expressed in our Constitution? Shame on black America for not being color blind.

And let not the hypocrisy of the Democrats not to denounce the racial hatred and anti-American activities of all radical elements and organizations go unchecked. Let those who seek to destroy our forgiving and generous land be rejected by the ballot, or by the force of arms if necessary, to preserve our sacred union of free men and women.

I
….The Privileged Class…
We have allowed our elected congressional officials to become an incompetent and privileged class self-entitled to excessive benefits and privileges of rank that prevail over their collective responsibility; they have been permitted to function so above the law they have become a a nest of truants bent on increasing the nation’s financial burden on the backs of its taxpayers, the result of their incompetence and malfeasance has been the steady erosion of our founding values and ideals. Freedom requires infinite vigilance for it is neither free nor cheap.

II
…A Man Lost in Space…
‘Special counsel” Mueller failed to produce evidence of Trump’s misconduct or treason against the nation, but the left wing radicals in cahoots with the garbage-can networks CNN and MSNBC continue to promote the infamous “Steele Dossier” and the DNC preposterous “collusion” charge against our legitimate president.

Hillary Clinton lost the election because she had a long history of lies, corruption and deception. Still the ensuing torrent of irresponsible and malicious accusations Trump continues, tacitly endorsed by Putin’s mole Barack Obama and company; their propaganda aimed to sow mistrust in the integrity of our Constitution, its laws and legal processes.

Congressman Nadler’s show on Capitol Hill was “much ado about nothing.”

III

…The DNC and Black Racism…

I see the slate of the DNC presidential jackasses as nothing more than an ongoing caravan of ‘useful fools’ coached by the anti-American anarchist Barack Obama whose rhetoric disrespects President Trump and his cabinet. Licensed by our liberal networks and some news organizations, Obama has been empowered to accuse Trump of every sin under the sun; lamentably Conservative America for fear of being branded racist remain silent. So the morally bankrupt Democrats just go on dragging the nation through their acrimonious swamp.

No, America cannot be racist after electing Barack Obama to two terms in the White House. Yet, it’s the only card the black racists have always count on at the poker table. So why should our accidental ex-president Barack Hussein Obama not continue to steer his ‘allies’ against Trump until Conservative America surrenders? It is true the current speaker of the “House” is unable to impose order under the pressure of the ‘squad’ of racists women-of-color in the House, but what of Adam Schiff and other Jewish lawmakers who should have the courage stand up in defense of the Israeli government and Trump’s steadfast support of the Jewish nation? I have no room in my heart for Congressman Adam Schiff and his ilk.

IV

…Sad Sack Mueller Couldn’t Hop Off the Fat Man’s Carousel…

It’s befuddling to see that the celebrated federal “lawman” Robert Mueller never looked into the Russian Atomic Agency’s donation of $145,000,000 to the Clinton Foundation following the Obama administration’s “Uranium One Deal” (signed, sealed and delivered by Hillary Clinton to Vladimir Putin). Instead, Obama’s ‘deep state’ operatives propagated the lie of a Trump-Putin collaboration to steal the election from the unprincipled Hillary Clinton.

…And please don’t forget the $500,000 speaker’s fee paid to Bill Clinton in Moscow by a Russian business group connected with the “Uranium One Deal”…

But the only one who seemingly expected a “Plan B” to contest his win over the prohibitive Hillary was our man Donald Trump who was prepared for the DNC’s no-stops war to invalidate his electoral victory; though the old elephants of the GOP had not a clue of the plot in motion to overthrow the newly elected president.

I tell you, the clown show orchestrated by that fathead Jerrold Nadler must have sunked the gaunt and already confused Robert Mueller III into a mental abyss typical of those suffering the initial symptoms of a progressive memory disconnect. The pitiful Mueller simply could not deliver the winning card the bloated Jerrold was expecting at the hearing. Poor Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall and broke into pieces.

So once again the ‘boys’ in the Kremlin were entertained by another circus performance on Capitol Hill; czar Vladimir and emperor Xi smiled, and the Mullahs in Tehran continued to enrich uranium waiting for their messianic Twelfth Imam (the “Hidden Imam” or the Mahdi) to liberate the world from evil. But In Israel, my Jewish brethren anxiously went about their affairs praying and hoping not to be abandoned by Washington knowing full well they can never count on the support of America’s left-wing Jews.

So I say, now is the time for Conservative America to demand a legitimate investigation by the US Senate to expose the unethical activities of Mueller and his team of investigators. High on the Senate’s list should be Mueller’s lead investigator Andrew Weissmann and his pro-Hillary investigators. Mueller’s erratic performance before the House Committee justifies a Senate investigation.

Who was really leading and conducting this symphony of lies against the President? We also must find out who wrote the final report because Sad Sack Mueller was so disoriented he couldn’t hop off the fat man’s carousel.

THE DEMS’ DITSY “SQUAD” REVIEWED

Trump campaign produces brutal video highlighting The Squad’s crazy statements

For decades, the Democrats have expertly demonized Republicans and conservatives, making the case that we are too mean, too stupid, too racist, too homophobic, and now too transphobic (among many other failings) to be trusted with power.  Meanwhile, the Republican establishment, including presidential candidates John McCain and Mitt Romney, preferred being gentlemen losers to winning by using the same tactics as the Democrats.

I will remember to my dying day the time when John McCain rebuked the use of Barack Obama’s actual name. From the Feb 28, 2008 New York Times:

A conservative radio talk show host who helped introduce Senator John McCain before a rally here Tuesday used Senator Barack Obama’s middle name, Hussein, three times, while disparaging him, prompting Mr. McCain to apologize and repudiate the comments afterward.

Bill Cunningham, who hosts “The Big Show” with Bill Cunningham, a local program here that is also syndicated nationally, was part of a line of people lauding Mr. McCain and revving up the crowd before his appearance here before several hundred people at a theater here.)

In contrast, President Trump likes winning, and is not bothered by the fear that someone might consider him vulgar or mean. And as the most successful reality television producer in the history of the medium, he understands how compelling the appearance of craziness can be. It’s not coincidental that he had celebrities like Gary Busey and Meat Loaf as cast members of Celebrity Apprentice.

That’s why his campaign has produced a highly effective and highly shareable two-and-a-half-minute video branding The Squad as “the leaders of the Democrat Party,” using Trump himself and clips of their nuttiness.

NeverTrumpers no doubt find the video abhorrent. Just not nice enough.

President Trump would rather win than please them and their Democrat friends.

The Disappearance of the American Mother

The less knowledge the human being amasses, the more animal it becomes.

What happens to a culture when its educational gurus, teachers, professors, reporters, judges, moms and dads, know nothing about yesterday???

What happens to a culture when moms and dads disappear from its neighborhoods?

I was born and raised in a very modest corner of St. Paul, Minnesota  between 1934 and 1954.   For the vast majority of today’s uneducateds under their fortieth birthday, that was Depression,  World War II and Josef Visarianovich Stalin time for us in what was then called “The Free World”.   Americans had mothers and fathers then.

Americans were still churched or synogogued.

Until the bombing at Pearl Harbor, city fathers of every size and color  worked a minimum 48 hours a week.   Families were made up of fathers, mothers and their children.

Unlike today’s America, children had real Mothers. They stayed at home “mothering”.   Unless adults  were  millionaires or playing in Hollywood, divorce was NOT  in any American commoners’ deck of cards.  The family was considered the core for the country.

There were twelve houses built  on the south  side of our  city’s block, and nine on the north side until  after the end of the big war.   My paradise was the three empty lots directly across the alley from our garage….where at age eight I became HEAD  gardener of our double lot Victory Garden throughout the War.   You name the vegetable, whether egg plant, sweet corn, white potatoes, kohlrabi, tomatoes, squash, radishes, carrots, lettuce, etc….I managed and grew it after cultivating time, May 1942 until the fall of 1945.

(I have created and maintained a spectacular half acre  landscape garden where I have lived over the past 45 years:  a space of inspiration, joy, and beauty  from learning, planting, caring for those plants of my  Victory Garden years.)

All but one of these twenty one neighborhood families had at least one child…nearly all under age eight.  The one without were grandparents living across the street from us. Their   three grand children lived in Iowal.  They spent every  wartime summer across the street.

These were real  mothers central to  real families who  raised their children those many decades  age, similar to families living then in the farm world.  They were church fold,  Godfearing folks….and, in our neighborhood, equally poor, but no one really showed it.  Moms knew how to sew and darn.

The War made our moms share in the neighborhood.   They got to know and need each other ….and shared often.,….such as in clothing hand-me-downs even after the War.    Victory Gardens folks shared their garden foods.   Meats went to the war zones.   Cars were stored for the duration.   We had a second hand  1941 Plymouth four door purchased in November of that year.  By spring it disappeared into our garage, not to be used until September, 1945.  Most mothers weren’t expected to  drive autos.  They ran the household and  flower beds, and played,  talked  with, and disciplined  their children.  Husbands mowed the lawns, and made repairs around the house whenever necessary.  There was no spare money.

In our neighborhood and our larger family,  women did not smoke in public….if they smoked at all.   Guys smoked big time then….and died early.   Women  dressed up to go down town, by streetcar, of course.  They learned that from Hollywood.

Today’s American mom arrives home  from work about 5PM.   There may or may not be a human adult male available to today’s family as the,  or any  “father”.    Drugs, legal and/or  illegal are hugely popular as if a right in today’s “it” culture!  Females, no longer necessarily  women,   are now butchy fems  in a hurry…places to go, modern  people to see,  programmed   at school, college, and  university which they now dominate.

Today’s “Fems” are told, programmed,  to become equal and/or  superior to the human male.   They vote Democrat and gods leftier these days….as they are taught to do at schools, newspapers, television, and university.   Truth becomes victim to feminist feelings, the motor than runs the current feminist  mind.

So today’s American female becomes pregnant.   Abortion is as available as a sneeze.  The adult one works eight to five,  politically driven by the  fem culture to be equal or superior to her male citizen, competitor  or “mate”.  Dem fascists at university and the press insist it is her turn to rule….fair or foul!   Pressure’s on in our Elizabeth Warren year of 2019!  In 2016 it was Hillary!  Whether or not today’s American  “she” actually bears a child in her lifetime  is anyone’s guess.  She’ll have to confront Dem thought.

In most cases fair or foul,  if today’s American ‘adult’ female gets pregnant she has to retire from her work for a period of time….the shorter the better financially.   If the child is wanted and she works,  most mothers in today’s world  “retire” for a week or month and then has to hustle back to work…….not as a Mother, but as a worker….a career gal she has been ordered to be by her “superiors” at university and/or from today’s American culture….for she must be made  superior in  today’s America.  Fascistic universities  and other  Dems or worse,  insist.

So in today’s America she’s hired out, abandoning  her baby child…a week, a month after the baby’s arrival.  Our “American Mom” now  hires  out her baby to be “mothered” by strangers who advertise themselves as “care givers”?   But they can’t really Mother!  Nor is the Mother abandoning the baby during the day five days a week really more than a very part time  mother!

My mother began to work at my father’s drugstore when I was thirteen years old.   She was a typical American Mother of that day, those JudeoChristian Godfearing days, when Mothers ran much of each family show until the 1960s when powerful institutional gurus of  United States of America began its drive to  destroy the traditional JudeoChristian  American family in favor of universal atheism.

We Americans have become  a very alone kind of people today.   Families have been disappearing to a point unique in civilized western society.    We  Americans now endure fascist  mouths as leaders,  Jerry Nadler,  Hillary,  Al Sharpton,  Adam Schiff,  Richard Blumenthal,  Bernie,  Charlie Schumer,  the Squad  and so on nearly all in today’s noisy atheistic Dem Party!  We don’t even know our neighbors.

How many of today’s countless butch taught American females of child rearing age are even interested in raising children?   With the disappearance of JudeoChristianity and traditional motherhood,  how could they?

Will Dems Reach Their 44 Years in a Row of Owning Minnesota’s Presidential Electoral Vote in 2020?

Once A Democratic Bastion, Minnesota Trends Red Heading Into 2020

.

When it comes to elections, swing states are always crucial, but in 2020, this blue state could be turning red for Trump.
by Stewart Lawrence  at  the Federalist
Let’s say Donald Trump fails to sweep the Rust Belt states in 2020. His chances of winning Ohio, where he swamped Hillary Clinton by 9 points in 2016, are still great. But without Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, where Trump won by smaller margins four years ago, the president might well lose reelection.

In 2016, Trump had a 68 electoral-vote margin over Clinton — 304 to 236. Take away the combined 44 electoral votes from those three states, and Trump falls short of the needed 270 votes by 10.

With Trump trailing most of the Democratic candidates in the Rust Belt by double digits in recent polling, liberals seem gleeful about their chances of victory in 2020. But this optimism assumes Trump cannot expand the electoral map elsewhere.

Minnesota Isn’t Feeling Blue

In fact, he can. Thanks to the success of Trump’s policies and other fortuitous developments, several other blue-trending states are certain to be in play in 2020.

Of these, none is more important than Minnesota. Its 10 electoral votes alone could offset a possible Rust Belt loss. The mainstream media has barely covered Trump’s remarkable gains in Minnesota, a state that historically is the bluest of the blue.

How blue? Even during the Reagan landslide victories of 1980 and 1984, the Gopher State remained a bastion of New Deal liberalism and economic populism. In fact, the last time the GOP captured Minnesota was during Richard Nixon’s reelection campaign in 1972, nearly a half-century ago.

Yet Trump, with his own brand of populism, nearly captured the state in 2016. He carried 78 of the state’s 87 counties, double the number carried by President Barack Obama in 2012. Overall, the margin between Trump and Hillary Clinton was a mere 1.5 percent — just 44,000 votes — the weakest Democratic tilt in decades.

In fact, Trump might well have won Minnesota in 2016 had he made the state more of a priority. On the advice of the GOP mainstream, which had watched Mitt Romney make a foolhardy play for Minnesota in 2012, Trump didn’t visit the state until the waning days of the campaign, a decision he came to regret. “One more big rally, and we would have won,” he lamented later.

Trump’s taking no chances this time. Since October of last year, he’s held three major rallies in Duluth and Rochester, two urban Democratic bastions with pockets of working-class voters attracted to his anti-trade, “America First” message. Each time, the crowds have grown larger. Just last week, Trump weighed in heavily during the burgeoning Pledge of Allegiance controversy in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, saying the state was “under siege.”

The President’s Policies Are Working

Why are Trump’s chances in Minnesota so good? The booming economy is one big factor. In addition to favorable job trends — the state’s unemployment rate is 3.3 percent, one of the lowest in the nation — Trump has undertaken special initiatives to bolster the state’s economy, drawing a sharp contrast between his administration’s policies and those of his predecessor.

For example, last month, Trump moved to expand a major copper and nickel mining operation, one of the largest remaining reserves in the world, that Barack Obama had refused to renew in his final weeks in office. Obama’s backpedaling on approving new mining leases was widely unpopular. While liberal environmental groups are still vocally protesting Trump’s decision, polls show that Minnesotans, especially in the five counties surrounding the project, strongly approve.

Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration has also found increasing favor. Minnesota is a major resettlement state for Muslim refugees, many of them from terror-prone Syria and Somalia. Some Somalis have also left Minnesota to join the Islamic State in east Africa. A November 2016 attack by a Somali American, who stabbed eight people in a shopping mall, has fueled support for Trump’s Muslim travel ban.

Minnesota’s up for grabs for another reason: Massive fallout from the resignation of Sen. Al Franken, a prominent liberal Democrat, over sexual assault allegations that have damaged the party’s standing with voters across the board. Add to this the growing controversy over newly elected in-state Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is widely viewed as anti-Semitic and extremist, and the Democrats are confronting a major crisis of credibility with Minnesota’s electorate.

Trump’s growing popularity with Minnesotans was apparent in 2018 when the two candidates he endorsed and campaigned for easily won their races. They included Pete Stauber, who captured the 8th District, which had voted Democratic for years. The fact that these victories occurred at a time when Democrats regained control of the House of Representatives reflect the deep GOP undercurrent that could allow Trump to flip Minnesota in 2020.

More Blue States May Be Up For Grabs

Trump could conceivably expand the 2020 map in two other states in the Southwest: Nevada, with 6 electoral votes, and Colorado, with 9. While both states have tilted Democratic since 2004, Trump’s growing popularity with Hispanics, who constitute a sizable share of each state’s electorate, is giving him a fresh opening. Still, both states remain an uphill climb.

Some analysts have argued that Pennsylvania is the bellwether contest in 2020. Trump won by slightly less than 1 percent there in 2016. But if Joe Biden, a Scranton native, is his opponent, that advantage likely evaporates.

Trump is certainly not out of the running in the Rust Belt, but with a major Democratic investment expected there (in contrast to 2016), the Gopher State will loom unusually large in 2020. Assuming the rest of the electoral map stays frozen in place, it could even be the state that puts Trump over the top.

Seeing Minnesota fall would be the bitterest of ironies for the Democrats and an unmistakable sign of just how much the mood of the country has shifted since Trump captured the White House.

(Just a note to remind the American public:   Honesty in counting votes in Minnesota is no longer a Dem value in our state.   Don’t bet on today’s metropolitan Minnesota Dems  losing their  count in the  Presidential election this coming AD2020.  They own the schools, television news, St. Paul,  and the Mpls StarTribune for starters!) ghr

Leftist Star, Alan Dershowitz, a Liberal Conservative!? Welcome!!

Two of my favorite people in today’s Leftist political wars against our American democracy,  Dennis Prager and John Hinderaker have been writing sweet  about leftist, anti-American, ACLU fanatic for about 45 years,  super arrogant lefty loud-mouth, Alan Dershowitz.

Dershowitz is closer to my age….in his early 80s.      It  is unlikely that either of these younger American heroes of our day remember or  ever heard, felt the heat against our America  emanating from the  lefty  mouth of  Dershowitz throughout those decades.

I’ll be 85 later this Summer.   I have loved learning, accumulating knowledge in countless directions, all of my thinking life, and in the meantime collected two Bachelor degrees, one Master’s degree, and one credit short of a second Master’s degree in Horticulture…..my major  profession  in life,  landscape gardening.

I did teach Russian and Social Studies at the high school level during the first stage of my adult labor.    In total I gathered  over 700 quarter credits of college study in my schooling years.   I had dyslexic issues, as it turned out.   I couldn’t read books.   But newspapers were a different arrangement of paper.

I could read headlines of the St. Paul Pioneer Press’s Sunday editions shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.   By June 1942 I could read every article in the Press’s rotogravure pages of the war section.   Some of the pictures of the Midway attack that month are still in my mind.   I could read cut lines to National Geographic pictures without trouble soon after.   I have never been able to read a novel.   But I have read countless newspapers.  I used to teach Russian, American History, and Social Studies for about fifteen years until 1972.

I  even voted  Democrat during  Dershowitz’s 30 plus  mouthier anti-American years.  Perhaps  he has softened his brain and mouth these days  because of the dangers Israel has to endure merely to survive.     I thoroughly support him on that.   And because of my great esteem for Dennis Prager and John Hinderaker in this current civil war to save American democracy,  I shall try hard to smile when I see and hear the NEW Alan Dershowitz pump up his words on television these days.

THE LEFT VS. ALAN DERSHOWITZ

by  John Hinderaker  at PowerLine:

Alan Dershowitz is a lifelong liberal, but in recent years he has diverged from the left-wing line on a few issues, including Israel and, to a degree, the Trump administration. That has brought the knives out. Liberal anti-Semites, in particular, are out to get him. The New Yorker, a disgusting rag, has been “researching” a hit piece on Dershowitz for some time. Apparently the magazine has dredged up two “accusers” who had something to do with Jeffrey Epstein, and claim that Dershowitz had sexual relations with them. The allegations appear to be entirely false, and may have been cooked up by the partisan lawyer David Boies, who somehow has gotten into the act.

Dershowitz has written an open letter to the New Yorker, defending himself against the smears that apparently are in progress. His defense is exhaustive and eloquent. This is how it starts:

Having been contacted by your “fact” checkers, I now understand the thrust of Connie Bruck’s hit piece: You must know there is no actual evidence that I engaged in sexual misconduct or even met my false accusers — because I did not. So, you appear determined to concoct a false narrative of my life, going back more than 40 years to my first marriage, that falsely suggests that I am the kind of person who “could” or “might” have engaged in such misconduct. To support your false narrative, you began your negative “research” – as you acknowledged to my son — by sourcing a Holocaust denial site that circulates false stories about prominent Jews, including me. You then interviewed my enemies, my critics, dissenting students and especially anti-Israel and, in some cases anti-Semitic, zealots. The original reporting, which took place over many months, did not include interviews with longtime friends and associates who know me well and can present a more balanced perspective. …

You have even refused to interview me face-to-face. When your negative sources are dead or unwilling to be interviewed, you have quoted decades old adversarial court documents that contain false information that you believe is protected by the litigation privilege. You report old, negative articles about me even though they are based on false information. You don’t seem to care whether the information is provably false, as long as you are protected from a lawsuit. Most importantly you are apparently refusing to include in your one-sided screed information that undercuts your false narrative that I and others have provided you.

Based on the claims of your fact checker, your reporter originally wrote an entirely false account regarding a confrontation between me and a summons server that was fed to you—-as many false stories about me have been fed to you. Your writer reported that a summons server tried to serve me in my apartment and that I told him to go “f.. himself.”

The problem is that he tried to serve someone else three times in an apartment that I haven’t lived in for seven (7) years. Finally, that person told him what he could do. But that person wasn’t me. I don’t use that kind of language. Your reporter believed your “source” and was prepared to attribute the episode to me without any proof that it was me. I wonder how many other stories in the article are also the product of such shoddy reporting.

Here is a list of just some of the information and documents that you and your fact checkers have been given. I urge readers of the published article to compare this list with what appears in your article and more importantly what has deliberately been excluded.

There is much more. Among other things, Dershowitz points out the obvious difference between the hostile attitude toward him that results in printing provably false assertions with Jane Mayer’s recent sympathetic defense of Al Franken. The difference? Politics. The New Yorker has no integrity, and no one should take anything it publishes seriously.

Will Minnesota Re-elect President Trump in 2020?

WILL ILHAN OMAR RE-ELECT PRESIDENT TRUMP?

by John Hinderaker  at PowerLine:

President Trump tweeted yesterday that Ilhan Omar will help him to carry Minnesota in 2020:

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

In 2016 I almost won Minnesota. In 2020, because of America hating anti-Semite Rep. Omar, & the fact that Minnesota is having its best economic year ever, I will win the State! “We are going to be a nightmare to the President,” she say. No, AOC Plus 3 are a Nightmare for America!

Other pundits echo that claim, like Stewart Lawrence at The Federalist:

Thanks to the success of Trump’s policies and other fortuitous developments, several other blue-trending states are certain to be in play in 2020.

Of these, none is more important than Minnesota.
***
Trump, with his own brand of populism, nearly captured the state in 2016. He carried 78 of the state’s 87 counties, double the number carried by President Barack Obama in 2012. Overall, the margin between Trump and Hillary Clinton was a mere 1.5 percent — just 44,000 votes — the weakest Democratic tilt in decades.

That is true, and it is also true that Trump has been paying attention to Minnesota. Lawrence thinks Omar will help Trump in 2020:

Add to this the growing controversy over newly elected in-state Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is widely viewed as anti-Semitic and extremist, and the Democrats are confronting a major crisis of credibility with Minnesota’s electorate.

There is no sign of any such “crisis of credibility.” And this is delusional:

Trump’s growing popularity with Minnesotans was apparent in 2018 when the two candidates he endorsed and campaigned for easily won their races.

2018 was a disaster for Minnesota Republicans. It is true that the GOP scored pickups in the rural 1st and 8th Congressional Districts. But, consistent with national trends, the suburbs swung massively to the Democrats. A Democrat was easily elected governor (along with a full slate of Democratic constitutional officers, including the radical Keith Ellison), and two strong GOP incumbents in the Twin Cities suburbs went down to defeat, while the Democrats took the Minnesota House away from the prior GOP majority. Most local observers attribute the Republicans’ disastrous performance to revulsion against Donald Trump in the Twin Cities suburbs, especially among women. I think that is probably the correct diagnosis. My own organization’s polling finds that President Trump is not as popular in Minnesota today as he was in 2016.

This does not bode well for Trump in 2020, obviously.

But what about the suggestion that Ilhan Omar’s radicalism and tangled personal history will significantly benefit President Trump, as well as other Republicans? This CBS News pollperhaps sheds some light.

Starting with the most basic data, this poll finds President Trump with 36% favorable and 51% unfavorable ratings, which–to be fair–is quite a bit below most polling these days. So the sample skews left. The same survey finds Ilhan Omar polling slightly worse–19% favorable and 36% unfavorable. Quite a few have never heard of her, while others are neutral.

But if we focus on Trump’s attacks on Omar and the other Squad members, the numbers are rather grim. Seventy percent say they are aware of the tweets and surrounding controversy. Of those, 40% agree with what Trump said and 59% disagree. Further, 55% “dislike” Trump’s tweets.

Other results are even worse. The Democrats’ claim that criticizing “Congresswomen of color” must be racist is winning. Forty-eight percent say Trump’s tweets were racist, while only 34% say they were not racist. Similarly, 33% say the president’s tweets were pro-American, while 45% say Trump’s tweets were un-American. By 42% to 38%, respondents approve of the House of Representatives denouncing Trump’s tweets as racist. There is more at the link, but you get the drift.

Minnesota voters no doubt are considerably more aware of Ilhan Omar than voters nationally. It is likely that more of them understand how radical and how dishonest she is. On the other hand, Minnesota voters are well to the left of the nation generally, and a lot of them voted for Omar, who won election overwhelmingly. And, as we saw last year, there is a great deal of hostility toward President Trump, not only in the inner cities but increasingly in the suburbs.

So I see no reason to think that Ilhan Omar’s problems will lead to President Trump carrying Minnesota in 2020. On the contrary, it seems that the Democrats’ attacks on the president as a “racist” have gotten a great deal of traction, despite their being entirely unfounded.

IS MINNESOTA STILL A LOONY LEFTY PAUL WELLSTONE STATE!
