America, Google and Me: My Senate Speech

Last week, at the invitation of Sen. Ted Cruz, I spoke to the Senate Judiciary Committee about Google’s having placed more than 60 Prager University videos on its restricted list. Any family that filters out pornography and violence cannot see those particular videos on YouTube (which is owned by Google); nor can any school or library.

This statement is as much about what I and PragerU stand for as it is about Google. Those interested in viewing the presentation can do so here:

It is an honor to be invited to speak in the United States Senate. But I wish I were not so honored. Because the subject of this hearing — Google and YouTube’s (and for that matter, Twitter and Facebook’s) suppression of internet content on ideological grounds — threatens the future of America more than any external enemy.

In fact, never in American history has there been as strong a threat to freedom of speech as there is today.
Before addressing this, however, I think it important that you know a bit about me and the organization I co-founded, Prager University — PragerU, as it often referred to.

I was born in Brooklyn, New York. My late father, Max Prager, was a CPA and an Orthodox Jew who volunteered to serve in the U.S. Navy at the start of World War II. My father’s senior class thesis at the City College of New York was on anti-Semitism in America. Yet, despite his keen awareness of the subject, he believed that Jews living in America were the luckiest Jews to have ever lived.

He was right. Having taught Jewish history at Brooklyn College, written a book on antisemitism and fought Jew-hatred my whole life, I thank God for living in America.

It breaks my heart that a vast number of young Americans have not only not been taught how lucky they are to be Americans but have been taught either how unlucky they are or how ashamed they should be.

It breaks my heart for them because contempt for one’s country leaves a terrible hole in one’s soul and because ungrateful people always become unhappy and angry people.

And it breaks my heart for America because no good country can survive when its people have contempt for it.

I have been communicating this appreciation of America for 35 years as a radio talk show host, the last 20 in national syndication with the Salem Radio Network — an organization that is a blessing in American life. One reason I started PragerU was to communicate America’s moral purpose and moral achievements, both to young Americans and to young people around the world. With a billion views a year, and with more than half of the viewers under age 35, PragerU has achieved some success.

My philosophy of life is easily summarized: God wants us to be good. Period. God without goodness is fanaticism and goodness without God will not long endure. Everything I and PragerU do emanates from belief in the importance of being a good person. That some label us extreme or “haters” only reflects on the character and the broken moral compass of those making such accusations. They are the haters and extremists.

PragerU releases a five-minute video every week. Our presenters include three former prime ministers, four Pulitzer Prize winners, liberals, conservatives, gays, blacks, Latinos, atheists, believers, Jews, Christians, Muslims and professors and scientists from MIT, Harvard, Stanford and a dozen other universities.

Do you think the secretary-general of NATO; or the former prime ministers of Norway, Canada or Spain; or the late Charles Krauthammer; or Philip Hamburger, distinguished professor of law at Columbia Law School, would make a video for an extreme or hate-filled site? The idea is not only preposterous; it is a smear.

Yet, Google, which owns YouTube, has restricted access to 56 of our 320 five-minute videos and to other videos we produce. “Restricted” means families that have a filter to avoid pornography and violence cannot see that video. It also means that no school or library can show that video.

Google has even restricted access to a video on the Ten Commandments … Yes, the Ten Commandments!

We have repeatedly asked Google why our videos are restricted. No explanation is ever given.

But of course, we know why: because they come from a conservative perspective.

Liberals and conservatives differ on many issues. But they have always agreed that free speech must be preserved. While the left has never supported free speech, liberals always have. I therefore appeal to liberals to join us in fighting on behalf of America’s crowning glory — free speech. Otherwise, I promise you, one day you will say, “First they came after conservatives, and I said nothing. And then they came after me. And there was no one left to speak up for me.”

It turns out, though, that the quote is from President Obama in 2014. The students aren’t as embarrassed as they should be:

Two years into Obama’s administration our nation’s transformation from a free market democracy into a neo-Marxist economic utopia began to take place as the socialist community organizer “big brother” Barack Obama began to stifle our small business sector with an onslaught of regulations and significant rules to negatively impact the aggregate annual cost to the nation’s private sector; concurrently Obama began implementing surveillance steps to electronically monitor what Americans said and did at home and abroad. It was soon becoming evident that our inherited freedom was not going to be free; though a great number of pompous academic pseudo-intellectuals continued to believe in the errant protégé of the odious anti-American communist Frank Marshall Davis.

In fact, even today with ample evidence of Obama’s ‘fraudulent’ eight years in the Oval Office it is still confusing for many Americans to accept the fact they were duped by this psychologically conflicted Marxist ideologue who conveniently switched his disguise as the occasion required. No, they say; having amassed a fortune after he left the White House Obama certainly cannot be a Godless Marxist and a Muslim at the same for it is contrary to The Holy Qur’An. Surely he cannot have his cake and eat it too? I ask: wasn’t, way before the apparition of Karl Marx, “The Prophet” an illiterate Bedouin with barely two Dirhams (Dinars) to rub?

So then who is this Barack Hussein Obama who with impunity continues to upend the American republic as he conspires with the liberal media and elected left wing DNC elements, and even RINOs such as the insidious Mitt Romney, to impeach our duly elected President?

Obama and his radicals in the liberal media are truly demons intent on taking our increasingly secular nation steadily away from its founding Judeo-Christian values and ideals. And yet our cowardly Republicans in the “House” and Conservative America refuse to demand the impeachment and resignation of the radical ‘four mares of the American Political Apocalypse’: Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley for conduct unbecoming a member of the US Congress. When are we going to summon the courage to defeat these devils in our midst? I agree with the folks who want Congresswoman Omar’s US naturalized citizenship revoked and her deportation to her Somali sand dunes.

Moreover, is it not time for the Senate to question Barack Obama for not denouncing the incendiary anti-Semitic comments against the legitimate nation of Israel taking place in the “House” as well as the vulgar statements against our elected President made by newly elected Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar? Congresswoman Tlaib going as far as promising to impeach the “motherf’er” President Trump?! How could our ex-president Barack Obama tacitly endorse this despicable woman’s behavior by telling her personally how proud he was of her, a few days after her vulgarities and insults in the US House of Representatives against our duly elected President?

I close by reminding every American patriot of how fragile our democracy has become under the insidious attacks by the Soros-funded hooligans of Antifa and the un-American Obama-Clinton-radical DNC axis.

Make no mistake about it; the un-American Obama administration was pervasively corrupt from the very top down to its most obscure official.

To begin the unmasking of Obama start by taking a sharp look at his glaring disloyalty to our country:

1) In 2012 Barack Obama, at the White House, promised then-President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev that after his (Obama’s) re-election he would have more flexibility. This conversation took place as Russia was planning to stage anti-government events in Ukraine to justify its ruthless invasion and conquest of the Crimea, a region Russia has felt historically entitled to. Obama’s words were overheard on an open microphone.

2) In 2009 prior to his meeting with Russia’s then-President Dmitry Medvedev at the White House, Obama’s then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with then-Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to “reset” relations with Moscow after Russian troops had invaded the neighboring Constitutional Republic of Georgia in 2008.

3) Was Hillary sent to Moscow by Obama to officially “reset” US relations Russia or was it just a veil to stamp the sale of 1/5th of US uranium deposits to the Russian Atomic Agency (Rosatom)? This was really a ‘dark money’ deal for which the Clinton Foundation eventually received $145,000,000 donation from a group of Russian business entities and an added $500,000 ‘speaker” fee from a Russian business group to ex-President William Clinton. Just like the many US Intel officials the KGB bribed during the 50s into the 70s; a scandal very few Americans know have.

Without knowing the extent of their greed and antipathy for our nation’s Constitution and its laws and legal processes few would believe the treachery of the Clinton couple and Obama’s Machiavellianism. We were led to believe the old KGB espionage skills and far-reaching apparatus were things of the past. Really? What fools we are to believe Vladimir Putin is a reformed Stalinist.

In retrospect was the Mueller investigation really to cover up the treason and other crimes of the Clinton couple and the Obama administration?

Having Mueller rendered his report and findings President Trump stands vindicated but not so Obama, Hillary Clinton and the DNC who from all indications colluded with the Kremlin to undermine the stability of the nation and to obstruct the investigation and prosecution of Hillary Clinton, the DNC and the Obama administration.

The Russians masterly got their moles crawl into the highest offices of the US government and handsomely rewarded them for their services to the Kremlin; for $145,500,000 Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama (and others in their circle of traitors, including John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey and Robert Mueller) sold the safety, security and sovereignty of the United States of America.

Let us hope, however, a full measure of justice against them is yet to come.

Still, the un-American Barack Hussein Obama continues to tour the world lambasting our dully elected President Trump and the nation. This is treason!

I say investigate and prosecute Barack Obama for crimes against the nation. And let his followers be on notice that a new generation of American patriots stands ready to defend the homeland from enemies at home and abroad.
