After Trump, We’re Next

The Democrats in 2016 graciously gave Americans the opportunity to do as we were told and vote for Hillary Clinton.  And just as we so many times disappointed Barack Obama, we failed them as well, proving our illegitimacy as a citizenry.

Electing Trump was the last straw for them – plastic, of course, paper is for us rabble.  They used to want only our money, but since we elected Trump, they’ve decided to come for everything else we enjoy as free citizens of the Republic.

Trump is all that stands between the America we cherish and the left’s policies for “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”  They know that for us, 2020 is a “Flight 93” election and impeaching Trump on what is the thinnest of gruel, and arguably the finest example of projection today, is a last-ditch effort to either depose him or damage him enough politically to make him unelectable come next November.

With the media, their unctuous allies in scurrility, the left knows every specious allegation will be portrayed as fact in every article, on every news panel, and in every talking-head utterance.  It used to be the “big lie.”  Now it is a million little lies told by a camarilla of politicians and skirling media that they hope will rid the left of their Orange Man bane.

The left must make sure that someone like Trump never happens again, should they succeed at deposing Trump, or better yet, damaging him to the point where he loses in 2020, for defeating him at the polls can be trumpeted as the “will of the people.”

They will take our citizenship.  Citizens have the right to vote and that is something they can’t fully rig until they accumulate enough power to implement democracy as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan understands democracy: “One election, once.”  Instead, they are honing the art of cheating and weakening election integrity efforts while flooding the country with enough illegal aliens to negate our vote and guarantee eternal leftist primacy.  In short, they will replace us with a more compliant citizenry.

Note: Living in the Bronx, it is now illegal for me to use the “derogation” “illegal aliens.”  Should I be afraid?  Am I Spartacus like Cory or like Kirk?

They will take our guns.  A well-armed, regnant populace believing the “right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” cannot so easily be forced to give up their liberty to an all-knowing clerisy intent on saving us even if it kills us.  It won’t affect them; they will keep their armed guards and walled estates.  And if blood must be spilled to disarm us, they won’t mind.  It won’t be their blood — or so they think.  As my mother used to say, “They have another ‘think’ coming.”

They will take our cars, our large homes, inexpensive fuel for heating, and our affordable electricity.  A mobile population is a free population, and a citizenry warm in their homes with electricity cheap enough to afford is too comfortable to need their “solutions” and too free to be constrained at their whim.

They’ve decided that no one needs more than 300 square feet per person; large private residences are wasteful, and we are selfish and greedy for working hard to buy them.  Our avaricious self-interest must be eliminated, not only to save the planet but to build a better world for all.  We must be forced to live within “stacked” cities in tiny apartments, cantilevered around mass transit hubs close to our jobs with no hope of escape.  No hope in general.

“Try to say, ‘No,’ now, you deplorable bastards.”

People think the Green New Deal is about saving the planet — it’s not; it’s about control; it’s about socialism.  Saikat Chakrabarti, Sandy O’s pappy-puppeteer, admitted as much.  We’re not supposed to notice our elite will keep their cars, and their 5,000-plus square feet multiple mansions.  Our ruling elite will be able to afford fuel and electricity at 10x today’s price while enjoying the added benefit of no traffic to impede the progress of their limousines.  Ala Al Gore, the porcine prophet of climate doom, they’ll buy carbon offsets to maintain their Thunberg purity.

They will take away our right to say what we want when we want without fear of government reprisal.  Because a people allowed to speak freely can “stand athwart history and yell, ‘Stop!’”  Folks allowed to have their own opinions will eventually disagree, however minor the deviation.  And they can’t have that.

They will take our children, something they’ve been trying to do for generations.  Despots have always known that controlling youth creates controlled adults.  Any freedom from an anti-American curriculum we now enjoy will be eliminated, including home-schooling, private schools, and magnet schools.  When you start them young, they’re yours forever.

Impeaching Trump is their way of telling us to get in line, or else.  If you think of Trump, not as Trump, but as one of us, it becomes clear.  Destroying him is a way of telling us, “You’re next.”

Will Brennan and Clapper Finally Begin to Taste THEIR JUST DESSERTS?

Brennan Hears Barr’s ‘Chilling’ Footsteps

James Clapper, the man who lied to Congress about spying on the American people was shocked back in April to hear William Barr testify before Congress that, yes, he thought that the Trump campaign had been spied upon by his political opponents. As Breitbart reported:

Well, I thought it was most stunning and scary. I was amazed at that and rather disappointed that the attorney general would say such a thing. The term “spying” has all kinds of negative connotations, and I have to believe he chose that term deliberately. And I think it’s incredible that if he has concerns, he would have easily on his first day on the job, after his confirmation, asked his own IG, the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, for a briefing on his preliminary, in the course of his investigation, that is, the IG’s investigation, whether there was any wrongdoing by the FBI.

Barr has more than that, it would seem and has sent chills up Clapper’s spine that the walls may be closing in, not on President Trump, but on Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan for their seditious roles in the attempted coup against the President. According to a Wall Street Journal report:

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper says… that Attorney General William Barr appears to be investigating a high-confidence finding of the US intelligence community assessment of the 2016 election sends a “chilling message to the intelligence community.”

Brennan may be hearing those footsteps get louder as well with his increasingly hysterical commentaries at MSNBC, which, along with CNN, is where liars and leakers go to die, warning President Trump to keep off the grass. As Fox News reports:

Brennan… said he was “supposedly” going to be interviewed by U.S. Attorney John Durham but was concerned about Barr’s role in the process of looking at the origins of the long-running Russia election meddling probe.

Given that Barr is now accompanying Durham on these things, it really makes me think that the hand of politics and of Trump are now being used to massage what this ongoing review quasi-investigation is,” Brennan told host Nicole Wallace. “So I am concerned.”

Fox News commentator and former congressman Jason Chaffetz notes Brennan’s panic and feels he is right to be concerned:

Chaffetz expressed that it was important for Barr to investigate Brennan and former director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

“If you’re going to get to the bottom of the FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] abuse, you have to understand what those two gentlemen were doing or not doing, and Barr has to pursue those facts.”

“I think Brennan and Clapper have both shown their political bias. I think they’re frightened to death that Michael Horowitz report is on the verge of coming out, that Mr. Durham has been on their tail, that the truth is going to be exposed…”

It is laughable for Brennan to be concerned about “the hand of politics” since it was his intelligence community that meddled in the 2016 elections in ways a foreign adversary such as Russia could only dream of and attempted to overthrow a duly elected president. And where did the Ukraine whistleblower come from? John Brennan’s CIA.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer once warned, some would say threatened, Trump, even before he took office, regarding the power of the intelligence community and its wrath against those who question its authority over our government and our lives. As the Washington Examiner reported:

“Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Tuesday evening on MSNBC after host Rachel Maddow informed him that intelligence sources told NBC news that the briefing had not been delayed.

Is the Ukraine “whistleblower” the latest attempt by John Brennan’s intelligence community “getting back” at Trump?

As Rush Limbaugh and others have reported, Brennan took a trip to the Ukraine using a fake passport to dig up dirt on Trump:

“Now, John Brennan’s hands are as dirty as Obama’s in this whole thing. John Brennan… traveled to Ukraine back in the time period around 2016 under a fake passport so it wouldn’t be known that he had gone, and he was arranging data on the dossier and all of the other dirt that they were trying to amass. Ukraine — not Russia, Ukraine — is the center of the universe of all this… “John Brennan, Obama’s director-CIA, went to Ukraine under a fake passport so that nobody would know it was him. Fake name. Can you do that? Can you get a fake passport? No. John Brennan can, CIA director. I’m surprised he even needed a passport. But he went under a fake passport to get opposition research on Trump!

As I wrote here recently, Brennan may have colluded with foreign spies to help Hillary Clinton. And the mind harkens back to the day when an op/ed in the Washington Post, that right-wing rag, called for Brennan to be fired for conducting illegal surveillance of the Senate Intelligence Committee and then lying about it:

Brennan was asked by NBC’s Andrea Mitchell whether the CIA had illegally accessed Senate Intelligence Committee staff computers “to thwart an investigation by the committee into” the agency’s past interrogation techniques… Brennan answered:

As far as the allegations of, you know, CIA hacking into, you know, Senate computers, nothing could be further from the truth. I mean, we wouldn’t do that. I mean, that’s — that’s just beyond the — you know, the scope of reason in terms of what we would do. {…}

And, you know, when the facts come out on this, I think a lot of people who are claiming that there has been this tremendous sort of spying and monitoring and hacking will be proved wrong.

Now we know that the truth was far different. The Post’s Greg Miller reports:

CIA Director John O. Brennan has apologized to leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee after an agency investigation determined that its employees improperly searched computers used by committee staff to review classified files on interrogations of prisoners. {…}

A statement released by the CIA on Tuesday acknowledged that agency employees had searched areas of that computer network that were supposed to be accessible only to committee investigators. Agency employees were attempting to discover how congressional aides had obtained a secret CIA internal report on the interrogation program.

Brennan’s briefing of Sen. Harry Reid, which included information from the Steele dossier, certainly is a key indicator of his participation in the campaign to keep and/or kick Donald Trump out of the White House:

“According to Russian Roulette, by Yahoo! News chief investigative correspondent Michael Isikoff and David Corn, the Washington bureau chief of the left-wing Mother Jones, Brennan contacted Reid on Aug. 25, 2016, to brief him on the state of Russia’s interference in the presidential campaign. Brennan briefed other members of the so-called Gang of Eight, but Reid is the only one who took direct action.

Two days after the briefing, Reid wrote a letter to then-FBI Director James Comey asserting that “evidence of a direct connection between the Russian government and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign continues to mount.”

Reid’s letter referred to some public reporting about Trump campaign associates’ links to the Kremlin, but he also included a reference to information that may not have been made public at the time. He cited allegations that were included in the infamous Steele dossier about Carter Page, an adviser to the Trump campaign at the time.

Brennan is a ringleader in the deep state coup against Trump. Instead of accusing AG Bill Barr of being corrupt, this might be a good time for Brennan to exercise his right to be silent.

What is the Purpose of the GOP?

A year ago I was locked in a political race for the Republican nomination for Congress from Indiana’s 8^th district.  I was running against then four-term incumbent, Larry Bucshon.  I had also run in the prior election cycle in 2016.  And I had run in 2014 against Mike Braun (now U.S. Senator for Indiana) for state representative (HR 63).

Among issues popular among conservatives, I also had what I thought was a compelling platform regarding the incumbent: Bucshon and his family had moved to Washington D.C.  I had hoped that this factor combined with his generally weak voting record could propel me to an upset victory, which is never easy against an incumbent.  I started early and ran hard.  I had raised money and traveled extensively throughout the 18 counties of Indiana’s 8^th district, meeting and interacting with voters.

Despite a vigorous, hard-hitting campaign, we came up short –- actually worse than the prior election.  I had dropped from 35% to 26%.  I also observed that many in the 8^th district county level GOP establishment were upset over my criticism of Bucshon for moving to D.C.  I contended, however, that a representative and his family must live, work, and attend schools in the area he represented.  In this era of an increasingly centralized federal government, far removed from its constituents, Bucshon’s decision to move to Washington exemplified a D.C.-centric mentality that defined perfectly what was wrong with our political system — and why I had run.

Having lost in three political campaigns, I can report that it is wonderful not to run for office.  The reasons for running in three separate campaigns, however, have not disappeared.  Our “one party” system in Washington remains profoundly corrupt and self-serving.  It consists of career politicians from both parties, special interests, donors, and lobbyists, all of whom agree on one thing: growing the size of government.

The Republican Party, in its budgeting and voting, is a left-of-center party; it is, as I often referred to it as, the Republican wing of the Democratic Party.  With an increasingly Marxist Democratic Party, and no serious conservative opposition from “soft-progressive” Republicans, the trajectory of the nation is all to the left: more spending, more programs, more socialism, and ultimately more tyranny.

Rather than promote a constitutional, limited government agenda that would actually expand liberty and shrink the power of the federal government, the GOP, in effect, embraces the tenets and policies of the Democrats (other than occasional, meaningless rhetorical flourishes to the contrary).  Thus, there is no active force to thwart the mortgaging of the nation and future generations by politicians seeking short-term political gain.

Thanks to our federal government, for example, we have annual trillion-dollar deficits, a national debt approaching $22 trillion (larger than our GDP), and $200 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities.  The actuaries of Medicare and Social Security indicate both programs will be bankrupt in 2026 and 2035 respectively.  The Republican Party, allegedly a stronghold of fiscal prudence, is, in fact, handmaiden to profligacy and insolvency.

The GOP remains hapless on the issue of immigration.  It has done nothing to curtail and reform legal immigration to reflect the national interest (i.e. to make it meritocratic, limited, and diverse; to end chain migration, the “diversity” visa, birthright citizenship, and lawless “sanctuary cities,” among many critical issues); it has not secured the southern border nor prevented the influx of hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, virtually all of whom are impoverished, uneducated, and unskilled, and who will burden our schools, hospitals, courts, and public systems.  Many of them are disease carriers, drug dealers, criminals, and terrorists.  Thanks to feckless Republicans, our immigration system has become a giant welfare magnet for the world, a threat to our sovereignty, the rule of law, and national security.

Utterly feeble on the cultural front, the Republican Party has meekly accepted the cultural Marxism of the left rather than push back against the nihilism and degradation of our popular and politically correct culture.  It has failed to promulgate a conservative “narrative” to confront the anti-Christian, anti-family, anti-American narrative foisted upon us by our cultural overlords.

Today’s Democrat Party, overtaken by the radical French Revolutionary Left, is not the Democratic party of your grandfather or father, of Truman or Kennedy.  This bunch, should they come to power, is preparing the ground for future gulags not unlike their Marxist predecessors of the 20^th century.

In effect, the conservative movement lacks a political vehicle with which to enact its agenda, policies, and narrative, hence the nation is at the mercy of liberaldom.  Absent effective and principled resistance from a fighting Republican Party, the leftward tilt of the nation, its decline into socialism and bankruptcy, its fragmentation into tribalized, warring identity groups, and the continued breakdown of its culture, is unavoidable.  The Trump years, like the Reagan era, will represent temporary but minor respites in the downward spiral of the country.

We live in treacherous times and the fault lines dividing us may be insurmountable.  But conservatives must continue to uphold our priorities that the nation may return to its foundational principles and beliefs.  We must reassert the religious and cultural underpinnings of the country, the central role of the two-parent family, faith, and the Judeo-Christian tradition; we should foster an appreciation of our unique history and heritage, of liberty, individual rights, the rule of law, free markets, and the principles of our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.  We, the believers, must remain the vanguard defending Western and American civilization — with or without the Republican Party.
