Trump has Reshaped American Politics Forever

By Steve Feinstein at American Thinker:

Donald J. Trump’s improbable presidency has been the most consequential presidency in modern times and his influence on American politics is ongoing and permanent.

From the time he rode down that escalator in July 2015 to announce his candidacy for the office, nothing has been the same.

Unlike small-minded liberals who outwardly cheered for the failure of Trump’s tenure — negative consequences to the country be damned — should there be a Biden administration, there is no desire here for it to “fail.” If the Senate stays safely in Republican hands, thus assuring a split government, there will be no Green New Deal, no headlong rush to abolish fossil fuels, no outlawing of jet travel or beef farming, no elevation of Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico to statehood (which means no additional Democratic House and Senate seats), no packing of the Supreme Court, no abolishing of the 2nd Amendment and no huge, unrestricted increase in taxes. If the Republican-controlled Senate holds true to conservative principles, the amount of extreme progressive legislation and initiatives that can make it into actual law are manageable and survivable. No one needs to cheer for failure.

Certainly, a Democratic administration can do a lot of damage by executive order and judicial activism. Rulings based on painfully arbitrary considerations of “social justice” rather than sound economic reasoning or national security concerns will be the order of the day, much like they were in the Obama years. Nonetheless, regardless of the officeholder’s party, the hope of any rational person is that daily life continues to move along reasonably smoothly, people are working, businesses are profitable, and the country is safe.

Perhaps the most notable aspect of Trump’s presidency was his unabashed pro-American stance on everything. Progressives tried to somehow twist that position into being “racist” or anti-immigrant. But whether it was the booming economy, the record-low unemployment among traditional Democratic voters (blacks, women, Hispanics), our new-found energy independence, our rejuvenated/rebuilt military, vastly increased border security, advantageous new international trade agreements like the USMCA, lowered income taxes, finally standing up to China with respect to trade, currency manipulation and theft of intellectual property, all of President Trump’s goals and accomplishments were intended to benefit the nation as a whole. He didn’t single out one specific group to the detriment of another. Incredibly, progressive Democrats clearly regard certain individual demographic groups as evil and undeserving, rather than viewing us all as equal citizens. Example: Upper middle-class straight white males of European descent fall into their persona non grata category.

President Trump had no such “unacceptable” categories of Americans. He intended to help everyone. And he did. His accomplishments were both obvious and humiliating to progressives. President Trump succeeded in helping the country in virtually every way, in stark contrast to the stagnation and limited progress we had to endure under Obama. Therefore, the progressive media invented racist meanings where there were none, such as saying MAGA was code-speak for “Make America White Again.” The liberal media knew that wasn’t true, but they had no other tools to use against him to blunt his public success and popularity. Every Trump win — and there were a lot, on virtually every front — was a repudiation of Obama and progressive thought, definitive confirmation of both the correctness of Trump’s ways and the many failures and wasted opportunities under Obama. When a hated enemy so thoroughly and completely exposes your inadequacies and shortcomings, there is only one thing you can do: Attack and attempt to discredit your conqueror. No matter how bald-faced the lies, no matter how demonstrably false they are, if your megaphone is big enough, a sizable segment of the audience will listen and believe you. That was the progressives’ plan.

Trumponomics boomed. With Obama, the uncertainty of which punitive, anti-business/anti-capitalism hand grenade was about to be lobbed in their direction in the name of “social justice” is what kept economic and job growth so frustratingly tepid between 2008 and 2016. When things are uncertain and negative conditions are threatening right around the corner, human nature says to play things close to the vest. Under Obama, businesses were loath to expand or invest. Hiring was kept to a minimum. But under Trump, business owners, large and small, had confidence in the positive nature of the business environment, and thus they expanded, hired, and invested accordingly. From an economic policy standpoint, this is the biggest difference between President Trump and the typical progressive Democrat: Trump totally understood the businessperson’s mindset and motivations. Progressives, in contrast, look upon businesses as static, permanent objects, only there to be taxed in order to fund Government programs designed to bribe special-interest groups.

President Trump’s enthusiasm for helping all Americans, regardless of demographics, was strikingly evident to everyone who was emotionally and intellectually honest. His evenhandedness of governing intent ran so starkly counter to the “We’ll pick the winners/losers, good guys/bad guys” approach of liberal progressivism that Trump’s very political existence was undeniable evidence of the deceitful, hypocritical positions that progressives tried to foist upon the public. That’s why they tried so hard to remove him and discredit him — the reality of his presence tore back their fake wizard curtain and revealed progressives to be the phonies that they are.

Donald J. Trump was and is a one-of-a-kind president. His energy is astounding. His rallies are unlike any political gatherings ever before. He totally redefined the media narrative (“Fake news!”). People loved his straight talk. President Trump did more good for the country — despite incredible opposition from both sides of the aisle and the liberal media — in a shorter period of time, in more areas, than arguably any president in history. Everyone’s life got better — everyone’s. There were no “pre-selected” winners or losers. President Trump didn’t single out any demographic group for special treatment or punishment. His intent — and accomplishment — was to help everyone. Every single aspect of American life improved drastically during President Trump’s tenure. Progressives hate that, because it’s true.

He will continue to be a major force on the American political and social scene, whether in office or not. He’ll put forth policy proposals and critiques in his uniquely direct, no-holds-barred manner. No one is safe from criticism, not pandering progressives nor squishy Republicans. Donald Trump is a bottom-line guy. What do we need to do to make American life better? Did we accomplish that or not? If you want to help, I don’t care if you’re a D or an R. If you’re in the way, I don’t care if you’re a D or an R. Honest people see that and love him for it in a way that no president has ever been loved, rough language, questionable tweets and all. Shallow, intellectually dishonest people — voters and politicians alike — see that as well and are humiliated by it because it unceremoniously exposes their political vacuity and infinite personal insincerity.

Donald J. Trump is an absolutely transformative figure in American politics and culture, and his presence and influence will be with us for generations.

Manchin: Don’t Count On Me To Go Along With “Crazy Stuff,” Dems

A leftover from last night, but very much still of interest for the next few weeks. I’m torn on what Joe Manchin wanted to accomplish in this interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier. There are three possible strategies for declaring that he won’t vote to allow Kamala Harris to push the Senate into a “Green New Deal or socialism” via a 50-50 tiebreaker:

SEE ALSO: Are YouTube music reaction videos a rejection of identity politics?

Republicans flip another House seat (how many will the GOP gain?)

West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin III wants to make clear that he will not be the 50th vote in favor of eliminating the legislative filibuster or expanding the size of the Supreme Court in a potential 50-50 Senate. …

Democrats still have a narrow path to a Senate majority if they are able to prevail in two January runoff elections in Georgia, assuming Republicans currently leading in North Carolina and Alaska win. But in a move that seems partly designed to interfere with GOP talking points about the risks of unified Democratic government, Manchin appeared Monday on Fox News to declare dead several progressive priorities.

“I commit to you tonight, and I commit to all of your viewers and everyone else that’s watching. I want to allay those fears, I want to rest those fears for you right now because when they talk about whether it be packing the courts, or ending the filibuster, I will not vote to do that,” Manchin said in the interview. “I will not vote to pack the courts … and I will not vote to end the filibuster.”

Manchin said that in his estimation, efforts to defund the police and advance “Medicare for All” lacked support among members of the Senate Democratic Conference as well.

Here are the three scenarios, which aren’t entirely mutually exclusive:

  1. The Runoff Scenario — Manchin is being put out on national television by Senate Democrats’ leadership in a pitch to counter GOP messaging in Georgia. Democrats historically blew an opportunity to convert on a presidential victory and a numeric advantage in Senate races. They are now trying to counter the progressives’ year-long control of the party messaging by promising Georgia voters that Manchin will stand guard against the progressives even if they elect the two Democrats in January 5’s runoffs.
  2. The Olive Branch Scenario — Manchin wants to ensure moderation and cooperation in the incoming Joe Biden/Harris administration and is making it clear what won’t work, even in a 50/50+Harris scenario. At the same time, Manchin is holding out an olive branch to Republicans for serious cooperation on mutual interests. If everyone works with Manchin, both parties will benefit from a new era of bipartisanship.
  3. The Party-Switch Scenario — This interview was aimed at Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to make it clear that he’s thisclose to jumping ship if progressives continue to control the agenda and the messaging, especially on energy. If they can’t control themselves, Manchin will do it for them by cutting them out of any kind of control.

Frankly, it’s tough to choose between these three, and there could be layers of each in Manchin’s mind. It’s very difficult to believe in the first scenario, however; Manchin doesn’t have any reason to support the election of progressives like Jon Ossoff and Ralph Warnock, especially when the latter won’t distance himself from the court-packing demands that Manchin ridicules here.

Best guess is that Manchin wants to project the second scenario publicly while making the third scenario clear sotto voce. Note well that Manchin never explicitly rules out a party switch under any and all circumstances; Baier mentions Schumer using committee chairmanships as a lever to win his votes on progressive agenda items, but Mitch McConnell could do the same thing to convince Manchin to switch now. And with Republicans more likely than not to win one if not both of those Georgia runoffs, McConnell might actually have the goods to offer in such a deal — but it’s only worth it if Manchin takes up the offer before January 5. After a GOP win on that date, McConnell won’t need Manchin to flip.

Let’s end with two reactions to Manchin’s declaration. First off, the NRSC’s senior adviser isn’t buying it, likely believing this is a Scenario One declaration:https://platform.twitter.com/embed/index.html?creatorScreenName=edmorrissey&dnt=true&embedId=twitter-widget-0&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1325973283586641920&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fhotair.com%2Farchives%2Fed-morrissey%2F2020%2F11%2F10%2Fmanchin-dont-count-go-along-crazy-stuff-dems%2F&siteScreenName=hotairblog&theme=light&widgetsVersion=ed20a2b%3A1601588405575&width=500px

Today’s American Fascism Began Its Dance with the Racist Barack Obama World!!

How to Steal an Election

By David Keltz at American Thinker:

President Donald Trump had every right to call this entire process a complete sham, as he described it from the East Room of the White House, early Wednesday morning after Election Night. “This is a fraud on the American public, this is an embarrassment on the American country. We were getting ready to win this election, frankly we did win this election.”

On election night, Trump was ahead in Pennsylvania by roughly 690,000 votes with 64 percent of the vote counted, before his lead disappeared on Friday. In Michigan, Trump was winning by nearly 300,000 votes, with 65 percent of the votes recorded, before he ended up losing the state on Wednesday. In Georgia, Trump was ahead by 117,000 votes with 92 percent of the votes counted, before Biden pulled ahead on Friday. In Wisconsin, Trump was also ahead by 107,000 votes with 81 percent of the votes counted, before that was somehow called for Biden on Wednesday. Why did those states suddenly stop reporting the votes for several hours, and how is it possible that virtually all of the new votes that were tabulated went to Biden?

Many in the media have tried to justify the late Biden surge by perpetuating the false narrative that mail-in ballots were counted after in-person voting. That is simply incorrect. Even CNN reported that many mail-in ballots were in fact counted before election day. It is also incorrect to say that only Biden supporters voted by mail. For instance, at the Villages in Sumter County, Florida, where Trump has a lot of supporters, 59 percent voted for Trump by mail-in and absentee prior to the election.

Nearly 64 million mail-in votes were turned in before election day (out of the 92 million that were requested), and at least 101 million people voted before the election. With Biden totaling roughly 77 million votes, and Trump totaling around 72 million votes (as of this writing). That means there were roughly 48 million votes outstanding on and after election day. It is not yet clear how many of those were mail-in votes, or what percentage of those votes went to Trump compared to Biden, but that is an important number to keep track of since there seems to be a never-ending trail of mail-in votes that favor Biden by proportions that do not seem statistically possible.

Consider these facts. In Pennsylvania 2.8 million mail-in ballots were requested. Politico reported that as of November 3rd, Pennsylvania had received more than 2.5 million mail-in and absentee ballots, or 81 percent of those who had requested a ballot. More than 1.6 million of those ballots were from registered Democrats, while 586,000 were from Republicans. Yet the article also noted that 84 percent of registered Democrats who were sent mail-in or absentee ballots returned them, compared with only 74 percent of Republicans. How does one explain this discrepancy? What happened to the other 10 percent of Republicans who received their mail-in ballots?

What also remains unclear is where all these outstanding mail-in votes are coming from after election day, and whether they have been properly postmarked, so that they can be properly segregated. Curiously, most of these mail-in dumps seem to all be going to Biden. As Nate Silver reported, 23,777 batches of votes were found in Philadelphia, all for Biden, and of the roughly 5,300 votes in Trump-friendly Luzerne County, nearly 4,000 of them went to Biden. These instances cannot simply be ignored or explained away as “the process working.”

In Michigan 3.4 million voters requested absentee, or mail-in votes, 41 percent of whom were Republicans, while only 39 percent were Democrats. This further dispels the myth that only Democrats voted by mail. Also, consider that in Michigan at 5:04 A.M., Biden appeared to have received an additional 138,000 votes, while Trump received exactly zero votes. The Decision Desk HQ, which first reported the numbers, later said that it was a typo from one county in Shiawassee, and then retracted the numbers. There is no evidence that it was a typo (to this writer’s knowledge) or that the 138,000 votes were retracted. In fact, after the AP called Michigan for Biden, the Michigan Bureau of Election website still had Trump listed as the winner. Why was there a discrepancy between what the AP was reporting and what Michigan’s own bureau was reporting?

When the final vote tally in Michigan was completed, Biden wound up winning with 2,790,648 votes, while Trump wound up with 2,644,525 votes. Biden Somehow managed to win an additional 659,953 votes, or 59 percent of the remaining vote, while Trump only managed to win 443,623. It seems suspicious that Biden was able to pull off that many votes that late in the game, in counties where Trump did well in 2016.

In Wisconsin there were also irregularities. Absentee ballots were sent out beginning in September and were supposed to be returned by November 3rd. On election day, Wisconsin reported that 192,483, absentee or mail-in ballots were returned. Yet mail-in votes were still being counted as of November 6th, with an additional 32,676 absentee votes still being counted three days after election day. Why were those votes still being counted? Other irregularities in Wisconsin included Milwaukee, where 346,332 absentee ballots were supposedly requested, 345,871 absentee ballots were sent out, and 325,587 were returned. That means, a whopping 94 percent of mail-in ballots were sent in to be counted. That number seems remarkably high, and unlikely.

Other elements of potential corruption or fraud include the vote counters. Why do so many of the counters in Philadelphia, and Detroit appear to be wearing masks that say, “vote,” or in some cases “Biden/Harris.” Meanwhile photos of ballot counters with an American flag on them, were nowhere to be found. In Detroit, there were photos of poll counters gleefully checking the election results on their cell phones as the election somehow tipped into Biden’s favor. There were also instances of poll counters cheering when Republicans were removed from watching the counting, and there was a video of poster boards being used to cover up the windows of the vote counting room. To say that these poll counters have displayed anything resembling impartiality would be a gross understatement.

To make matters worse, anyone who questions the legitimacy of the election is effectively being silenced by the Mainstream Media and Big Tech. We live in a post-truth world where these powerful entities determine what is true and what is false. They do not need to offer any evidence, or proof to explain why a factual statement is false. Their view stands, simply  because they said so. Any opposing view (in some cases it’s a statement of fact) that they disagree with is considered a conspiracy and will be labeled as “false,” or “misinformation,” and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.

We are told by Democrat politicians that we must trust the electoral process, even as they falsely declare Joe Biden the winner. During her weekly press conference on Friday, Nancy Pelosi referred to Joe Biden as the “president-elect,” even though not a single state has declared Joe Biden the winner.  During another press conference in Philadelphia on Friday, Lisa Deeley, the chairwoman of the County Board of Election, kept reassuring us that with more than 40,000 votes still to be counted in Pennsylvania, the counting was being done in good faith. Yet, when she was asked how many mail-in votes had arrived after election day and were being segregated from votes that were being counted, she was unable to come up with a number, or even an estimate. Perhaps most egregiously of all, just moments after we were told to trust the process in Pennsylvania, the mayor of Philadelphia, Jim Kenney said that Trump should, “Put his big boy pants on,” and “acknowledge the fact that he lost.”

Every American has the right to know how many ballots were mailed out prior to election day, and how many were returned before and after the polls were supposed to have closed. President Trump has every right to use the full legal process to try to remedy this sham of an election that is being stolen from him and the roughly 72 million people who voted for him. Every legal vote must be counted, and every illegal vote must be thrown out. This could drag on for weeks or months, but our democracy is worth defending.

Will Dems’ Fascist Crimes Be Finally Exposed?

The tide is already turning for President Trump

By Ed Timperlake at American Thinker:

Attorney General Barr just mobilized the Department of Justice to engage as appropriate to investigate election fraud throughout America.  He is on solid legal ground.  It is a very simple means of addressing the greatest attempted political theft in American history, and I would rather be we, Trump Nation, than they, the Democrat party’s illegal operatives.

This is because President Trump and his team laid the legal ground work for identifying and prosecuting such criminal behavior in 2017:

Federal Prosecution of Election Offensives

Eight Edition 2017

Our constitutional system of representative government only works when the worth of honest ballots is not diluted by invalid ballots procured by corruption.

The actual fact that the A.G. late last night triggered the use of the DOJ legal handbook bodes ill for those who are involved in electoral cheating.

For them, when the men and women in suits arrive on their doorstep to politely inquire “can you explain this,” with “this” being one of the many felonies listed above, the campaign operative is likely to immediately have a life-altering moment.  As often is said: You can go easy, or you can go hard, but make no mistake: you are going to address your behavior.  And as the joke goes, never steal anything small, and the Democrat team certainly took that to heart.

At the moment of an investigation asking a low-level operative “what role did you play” in this grand theft election, the massive conspiracy will begin to crumble.  After all, what young campaign worker wants to go to jail for Joe Biden? So far, it looks like Biden will have trouble even keeping his own son out of entanglement with potential legal felony charges.

Notice I said men and women in suits.  This is because of my direct personal experience working officially with honorable FBI special agents.  I’m not talking about the Deep State operatives at the top.  I have much faith in the dedicated honor and respect for the rule of law enforced by special agents of the FBI in the field.  Adding to that phalanx of the FBI in the field, there is also the absolutely no-nonsense U.S. Marshals Service.  And, as the evidence may present itself, there’s also our world-class diligent Secret Service agents.

The majesty and mission dedication that all Americans expect of our federal protectors is well placed.  Please do not let the horrific aberration of people like Jim Comey, and those like him in D.C. paint in your minds FBI field agents as Deep State swamp creatures.

Federal prosecutors also have solid legal guidelines because the Supreme Court has already established precedent for nationwide election fraud cases.

See Anderson v. United States, 417 U.S 211, 227 (1974) cited in the Department of Justice criminal file cited above.

Now for the big and scary surprise for election-stealing criminals: There is a new federal team on the field of battle at the Department of Homeland Security.  Note this:

Fair and free elections are a hallmark of American democracy. The American people’s confidence in the value of their vote is principally reliant on their confidence in the security and resilience of the infrastructure that makes the Nation’s elections possible. Accordingly, an electoral process that is both secure and resilient is a vital national interest and one of CISA’s highest priorities.

CISA is committed to working collaboratively with those on the front lines of elections — state and local governments, election officials, federal partners, and vendors — to manage risks to the Nation’s election infrastructure. CISA will remain transparent and agile in its vigorous efforts to secure America’s election infrastructure from new and evolving threats.

The practical result of these teams fighting in the 2020 election campaign can already be seen.

As interviews are conducted in the field and hard evidence accumulated with federal prosecutors building cases and the need for a “Rocket Docket” directly to the Supreme Court, I suspect that the conspiracy will crumble as the minions and mid-level political miscreants scurry for legal safe haven.  It is simple: as the DHS team chases illegal computer voting “trons,” many of those in criminal legal trouble may see an opportunity to get out of jail free by singing to the feds.

Essentially, “the computer ate my homework” defense, with the press calling it a “computer glitch,” will collapse, and then significant votes may swing back to the correct column.

Sadly, if it takes walking a few conspirators to identify and correct many machine-directed mis-votes, so be it.

President Trump will eventually win.  Just look at this early headline at a very local level in the key battleground state of Michigan.

Fixed computer glitch turns losing Republican into a winner in Oakland County

A computer error led election officials in Oakland County to hand an upset victory Wednesday to a Democrat, only to switch the win back to an incumbent Republican a day later.

Soon many “computer errors,” I suspect, will be corrected.

However, those election-thief conspirators that took the analog route by corrupting hard-copy ballots, by either throwing away Trump votes and/or adding illegal Biden votes, well, they can become cooperating witnesses. Or else too bad for them because I hope they enjoy their stay at a “Club Fed” and living with a lifelong felony conviction in the thereafter.

“Black Racist” Juan Williams Blames President Trump for Winning Black Voters!

Juan Williams is symptomatic of what’s wrong with Fox News

By Donald N. Finley…..at American Thinker:

Juan Williams penned an op-ed for The Hill on Monday claiming “Too many men of color got conned by Trump.”

I won’t repeat all the voting numbers and percentages, but it’s obvious Williams was offended by the minority turnout supporting President Trump.  Why would he make such a colossal blunder of insulting a wide swath of minorities?  It’s the equivalent of calling them “deplorables” or “chumps,” insinuating they have less wit or intelligence than those who voted for Biden.

Williams quoted Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) talking about how she can “never, ever forgive them” and singer John Legend saying these minorities mistake bullying for strength and greed for business acumen.  He quoted some SNL comedian who insulted the many rappers who publicly supported Trump: “Rappers are not Black Leaders — they’re just rappers.  Stop negotiating with them.”  The significance of these quotes, specifically from people so insignificant, was lost to me.

Williams’s low opinion of these independent-thinking minority men was capped off with his accusation that their support for Trump was also support for a series of racist comments and actions by President Trump, taken out of context, and most already disproven multiple times.  But make no mistake: Williams followed the Democrat playbook by calling these minorities, who simply have differing opinions from his, racists.  Most shocking was his claim that the only explanation for minority men liking Trump is they are culturally caught up in “Latin machismo and Black gangsta rap lyrics” and “a fascination with big money, grabbing women, including porn stars, and Trump’s La Vida Loca lifestyle.”  Why hasn’t that been reported on Fox News?

I was insulted, and I’m not a minority.  Jeff Charles was also insulted.  At RedState, he wrote “No Juan Williams, Minority Men Were Not ‘Conned’ by President Trump.”  Charles nails it when he points out the minority support for Trump was not due to some cultural or character flaw within the voters, and it wasn’t due to their inferior intellect in not being capable of seeing the president for the reprobate he supposedly is.  Their support for Trump was a direct result of the failures within the Democrat party to “affect tangible changes in non-white communities for decades,” despite having overwhelming minority support.

Charles puts every one of Juan Williams’s statements to a lie when he explains the realities the minority communities are beginning to see.  He says Democrats want repressed, poverty-stricken minorities.  In order to package themselves as the saviors of the downtrodden, Republican-abused, racially discriminated minority communities, Democrats must ensure that such communities exist.  They can’t improve the lot of poor minorities; they can only promise to, because to actually do so would be to lose a substantial and reliable part of their voting base.  To keep a promise to raise a minority out of poverty, and break their dependence on public assistance (liberally provided by Democrat policies), would be political suicide.

Charles says Williams’s false argument denies that minorities are able to think through and understand why they supported Trump; it infantilizes them, treating them as too stupid to make up their own minds.  It is the type of thinking, says Charles, exhibited “by individuals who seem to believe themselves superior.”

That was the answer to my question above, and it also explains much of his commentary on Fox News.  Why would Juan Williams make such a colossal blunder of insulting a wide swath of minorities?  Because he’s just like so many of the Democrat commentators, news anchors, and politicians, not all of them minorities.  He thinks he’s better.  Look at his first statement: “I am a Black man.”  He puts himself among the downtrodden; he becomes a victim by identifying as one among the systemically victimized groups — black men.  That is his audience, after all.

But he’s no victim.  He’s filthy rich.  He believes he can pretend equality with black men in poor minority communities and have greater credibility while he “cons” them himself.  But black men, and black women, and Latino men and Latino women, and other minorities, have caught on to the Democrats’ game.  Eight years of Obama/Biden gave them nothing, but just four years of Trump/Pence gave them record wages, employment, and opportunity.  They have seen the light, and the game is up.
