Biden Gang Organizing A Fascist Military To Back Dem Fascist Movement!!

The Biden Military Witch-hunt

By Warren Beatty at American Thinker:

A manufactured panic over the January 6 rally has provided Biden and his flunkies with an excuse to attack the U.S. military.  The Biden administration has implemented an effort to root out political “extremism” in the military in order to work toward a military with more ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’, despite little evidence of any such extremists actually operating within the ranks:

“But a large majority of those charged have no known connections to established extremist groups… Experts say there’s little evidence that current or former members of the military are more susceptible to radicalization than the general population.  Still, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has called combating extremism in the ranks a top priority.”

So let’s examine what Austin has done.  As head of the Department of Defense (DoD), Austin created the Countering Extremism Working Group (CEWG).  However, the potential unintended consequences of its anti-extremism effort could harm recruiting if religious Americans or those on the political right feel unwelcome in the military ranks.  The DoD’s definition of extremism is so broad and imprecise that some retired officers and military analysts fear it could inadvertently include traditional Catholics, Republicans, and people who aren’t racist or violent but simply choose conservative, pro-life politics.  For example, DoD considers “‘patriot’ extremism” to include any non-extreme position, such as conservative views, religious teachings such as those against abortion or LGBTQ lifestyles, and failure to actively support gay rights demonstrations or mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations.  They are therefore legitimate targets for the CEWG.

Further, as a Revolver article says, if one accepts the DoD’s ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ policy as a matter of national security, any conviction that doesn’t agree with Biden’s (or Austin’s) perspective of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the military can be considered a national security threat.  Thus all policies and personnel that supported Donald Trump’s border wall, illegal alien deportations, DACA criticism, the military’s transgender ban, and military bases named after Confederate generals can be considered an extremist and a threat to national security.  The CEWG is a mechanism for eliminating in the military anything or anybody Biden (or more likely his flunky Austin) doesn’t like.

Let’s look further into the CEWG. “The CEWG will be led by Mr. Bishop Garrison, Senior Advisor on Human Capital and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”  Just who is Bishop Garrison?  He is a 2002 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the College of William and Mary Law School, and the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership’s Political Leaders Program at the University of Virginia.  He earned two Bronze Stars, a Combat Action Badge, and a Meritorious Service Medal.  He is also an Operation Iraqi Freedom Army veteran. Garrison was a member of the Obama 2012 Re-election Campaign, the Obama Administration’s National Security Leadership Workshop as well as Advisor to the Science and Technology Directorate at the Department of Homeland Security.  He served as the Deputy Foreign Policy Adviser on the Presidential campaign of Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.  His Democrat credentials are impeccably well established.  And he was appointed by Austin.

Garrison’s West Point major was Pre-Law.  He holds a J.D. as well as a Political Leaders Program certificate.  I found nothing that qualifies him to be a Senior Advisor on Human Capital and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  Perhaps his study of law qualifies him.

Garrison, in July 2018, wrote: “America again finds itself at the precipice: what nation do we want to be?  What world do we want to live in?  This is no longer some metaphysical hypothetical meant to test the limits of our philosophical thinking.  It’s a real and tangible question.  Our history is plagued with ugly, vicious truth.  Our past is troubled by violence and hatred.  But our evolution has always been about our struggle towards a more perfect union, our effort to be something greater holistically than we have been historically.  Today, however, America is renouncing its position as the world leader.  We’re relinquishing the long-fought diplomatic collateral that has defined our security and western world stability since World War II.  If we allow this digital black plague to spread further, the shining city on the hill will undoubtedly find itself alone in the darkness for years to come.”

This passage provides Garrison’s view of this country, especially the final three sentences. But that isn’t the worst of it.  Garrison, in July 2019, tweeted that “…any supporter of former President Donald Trump unequivocally supports extremism and racism.  Support for him, a racist, is support for ALL his beliefs.  …He’s dragging a lot of bad actors (misogynists, extremists, other racists) out into the light, normalizing their actions.  If you support the President, you support that… There is no room for nuance with this.  There is no more ‘but I’m not like that’ talk.”

Says Revolver: “This isn’t just some random case of Trump Derangement Syndrome on Twitter.  As the new head of the U.S. military’s ‘Countering Extremism’ task force, this critical race theory loving, Trump Derangement Syndrome suffering, fake news spreading, 100% partisan hack is the man who will now separate permissible ‘opinion’ from purgeable ‘extremism’ at the Pentagon …[.]”

Fox News host Pete Hegseth said this about Bishop Garrison: “This is not the woke military stuff you have been hearing about.  This is not extremism stand down or a social justice reading list or even a foolish CIA recruitment video we have all seen by now.  This is worse.  This is way worse.  This, my friends, is a purge.  A purge of the Defense Department led by a new and now powerful radical leftist.  A 1619 project activist [he defended it against criticisms from historians, called their assessment extremism, racist policies, and white supremacy existential threats to the nation], a hard-core social justice Democrat.  A man who believes all, all Trump supporters are racist and extremists.  And what must we do to racists?  We must define them and then we must purge them.”

Are Garrison and CEWG needed?  No!  Of the 222,000 men and women in the Marine Corps, it discharged four members last year for extremist activity.  American Defense News managing editor Paul Crespo had this to say:  “To date [22 April], despite the massive ideological witch hunt and outrageous, fact-free partisan allegations, less than a handful of active military members have been identified as having any real ‘extremist’ affiliations, out of nearly one and a half million serving today.”

DoD spokeswoman Lisa Lawrence said, “The Department is focused on addressing the corrosive and potentially dangerous behavior that can be inspired by extremist ideology — behavior that harms good order and discipline and our readiness.”  But the DoD has yet to provide (if it can) any data to show where even one extremist threat exists in our military, or how it is harming ‘good order and discipline and our readiness.’

Today’s Dems Are Fascists Who Destroy Truth….Republicans Are Brainless?

 BY JOHN HINDERAKER IN CRIME

OUR DISGRACEFUL JUDGES

The Black Lives Matter movement and attendant anti-police hysteria are the main reason for skyrocketing crime across America. But there is a second factor that needs to be exposed and condemned: soft-headed judges who don’t take seriously their obligation to protect the public.

Scott has been covering the infuriating case of Alexis Saborit, an illegal alien who beheaded his girlfriend in a Minneapolis suburb while she was driving him to court to make an appearance in an arson case. Another homicide has been making the news here, too: Man let out of prison early is charged killing wife, captured in NW. Minnesota after weeks on the run. Note that what follows is from the Minneapolis Star Tribune, a notoriously left-wing newspaper. But maybe even liberals are getting fed up with out-of-control crime:

Reinbold was wanted in connection with the death of 34-year-old Lissette Reinbold on July 9. The second-degree murder charges filed Friday in Pennington County District Court say Eric Reinbold was angry at his wife, accusing her of cheating on him and rejecting his demands for sex.

Lissette Reinbold’s body was found by one of her children that morning next to her vehicle, the charges read. She suffered multiple stab wounds to her neck, torso and upper extremities, the criminal complaint noted.

So it’s another domestic homicide. What is infuriating is the role played by our criminal justice system:

Her death occurred less than four months after her husband was granted an early “compassionate release” from federal prison, where he was serving time for possessing pipe bombs. His sentence initially called for him to be locked up until February 2022.

So Reinbold was a would-be pipe bomber whose violent proclivities led to a federal prosecution. Why was he let out of prison early?

He was sentenced to five years in prison. However, over the objections of prosecutors, U.S. District Judge John Tunheim granted Reinbold an early “compassionate release” in March 2021 from the federal lockup in Oxford, Wis.

The defense argued that Reinbold’s health issues, like high cholesterol and borderline high blood pressure, made him especially vulnerable to contracting COVID-19 while incarcerated.

This is insane. I suppose there are 50 million Americans (including me) who have borderline high blood pressure and high cholesterol. And if Reinbold had contracted covid–a risk to which people are exposed outside of prisons, too–his chance of survival would have been more than 99 percent. So for this, he was given a “compassionate release.” How about some compassion for members of the public, including his wife and children, who, it turns out, he had tried to murder previously? For liberal judges, compassion is a one-way street. It applies to criminals only.

What follows is, frankly, too dumb to deserve comment:

The filing also pointed to his wife’s medical challenges as she cared for their children while staying employed.

Yeah, so the pipe bomber was going to take great care of his children. Oops, he murdered their mother. And it turns out that he previously had tried to kill them all:

Eric Reinbold’s criminal history also includes a conviction in 2015 and a brief jail sentence for ramming his truck into a car that was occupied by his wife and two children.

On top of all of this insanity, it turns out that Reinbold had already had covid when he got his “compassionate release” from prison!

Prosecutors countered that Eric Reinbold had already contracted the virus and recovered. They also noted that the prison was virus-free at the time of their filing. “Reinbold is an active man in generally good health who appears to have recovered from COVID-19 without further incident,” the filing read.

So, for absolutely no reason, federal judge John Tunheim freed would-be pipe bomber and car rammer Eric Reinbold to prey on the public, and, as it turned out, his own family, whom he had previously attacked. Thus Lissette Reinbold’s body was found by one of her own children with “multiple stab wounds to her neck, torso and upper extremities.”

Nice going, Judge Tunheim. The Star Tribune story doesn’t mention it, but Tunheim is a liberal Democrat, appointed to the federal judiciary by Bill Clinton. Soft-headed judges like Tunheim who put ideology and pro-criminal sentiment over public safety deserve to be named and shamed. This is an issue around which the public needs to be mobilized, and my organization is launching a campaign to inform the public about feckless judges like John Tunheim and to mobilize opposition to pro-criminal judging. Watch for it.

Meanwhile, if you want to know more about how a once-great American city has descended into chaos as a result of incompetent leadership, here is the cover story in the Summer issue of Thinking Minnesota that is just now hitting mailboxes: Freefall: State and Twin Cities leaders dither while vulnerable residents live in fear and increasing danger.

Time for the socialist left to panic? Shontel Brown defeats Nina Turner in Ohio

JOHN SEXTON at HotAir:

The race to replace Rep. Marcia Fudge in Ohio (who left to become Joe Biden’s HUD Secretary) became a proxy war between the party’s establishment wing and its noisy socialist left. National Journal called it a “battle for the soul of the Democratic Party” and that may not be overstating things very much as the big guns from both wings of the party came to Ohio to rally voters.

Nina Turner, who has worked for Bernie Sanders, started the race with a huge lead in the polls (30 points back in April) and a 3:1 money advantage thanks to donations that poured in from progressives in California. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez came out to support her, begging voters to “Send me Nina.” Keith Ellison, Danny Glover and Cornel West all came to Ohio to support her. Last week Bernie Sanders himself came out for a rally of nearly 1,000 people.

But the establishment fought back. Hillary Clinton endorsed Shontel Brown as did the Congressional Black Caucus. Rep. Jim Clyburn, the 3rd highest ranking House Democrat, came to Ohio for a rally. Last week I wrote about why Clyburn came off the sidelines and traveled to support Shontel Brown. A few weeks earlier, Nina Turner had been part of a discussion with a rapper called Killer Mike who suggested Clyburn was “incredibly stupid” for not demanding more concessions in exchange for endorsing Biden. Nina Turner seemed to agree with him and that did not go over well with Clyburn who endorsed Shontel Brown the next day.

That wasn’t the only time that Nina Turner’s outspokenness got her in trouble. She also famously compared voting for Biden to eating a bowl of dog s**t. It’s the kind of statement that makes you a star on the far left but obviously there can be consequences to flipping your own party the bird at every opportunity.

Over time the polls tightened and the establishment money and effort behind Shontel Brown put her within striking distance. Yesterday all of that effort paid off. Brown won the primary by nearly 6 points, which in this heavily Democratic district means she is likely to win the seat. Just savor this description of the outcome from Politico:

The Democratic establishment dealt a crushing blow to the progressive movement Tuesday, when Shontel Brown, the preferred candidate of party stalwarts, triumphed over Nina Turner, a face of the insurgent left, in a special congressional primary election.

Turner conceded shortly after 10 p.m. with a biblical reference: “On this night, we will not cross the river.” She trailed Brown 51 percent to 44 percent when The Associated Press called the race…

The establishment forces leave the race with a blueprint for how to blunt progressive enthusiasm this cycle. But for the liberal wing, it’s another setback after a series of losses in off-year races.

As you might imagine, Nina Turner wasn’t exactly magnanimous in defeat. “Those of us fighting for that America here in Ohio and in every state in this country have been on a long justice journey through a desert of despair, indifference, inequality and racism,” she said. She continued, “Tonight my friends we have looked across the promised land but on this campaign on this night we will not cross the river.”

Okay, Moses. Take a breath.

This is another awkward moment for the far left because Jewish voters came out strongly for Shontel Brown after she supported Israel’s right to defend itself earlier this year. By contrast, Nina Turner was RTing this tweet calling Israel an Apartheid state:https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=true&embedId=twitter-widget-0&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1392328115909664774&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fhotair.com%2Fjohn-s-2%2F2021%2F08%2F04%2Ftime-for-the-socialist-left-to-panic-shontel-brown-defeats-nina-turner-in-ohio-n406614&sessionId=0a236bd276d06c3c9f54b59e66acc2c55da5c56a&siteScreenName=hotairblog&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

That had an impact on the race as Jewish groups got involved to bring out their voters for Brown. And it seems that effort made a difference. Jewish Democratic Council of America CEO Halie Soifer told the Jerusalem Post, “Voter turnout in areas with large Jewish populations was – on average – double the overall turnout in the district. Specifically, OH-11 turnout was 16.8%, and turnout in heavily Jewish areas of the district was 25-31%. The results speak for themselves and it’s clear the Jewish vote made a critical difference for Shontel Brown in this close race.”

So keep that in mind when you hear Turner claim last night that she didn’t lose the race so much as “evil money” had manipulated the election.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=true&embedId=twitter-widget-1&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1422751025224630273&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fhotair.com%2Fjohn-s-2%2F2021%2F08%2F04%2Ftime-for-the-socialist-left-to-panic-shontel-brown-defeats-nina-turner-in-ohio-n406614&sessionId=0a236bd276d06c3c9f54b59e66acc2c55da5c56a&siteScreenName=hotairblog&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

Turner also RT’d this statement by Cenk Uygur last night blaming the loss on her unwillingness to serve “white leadership,” meaning Joe Biden.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=true&embedId=twitter-widget-2&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1422762648295264257&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fhotair.com%2Fjohn-s-2%2F2021%2F08%2F04%2Ftime-for-the-socialist-left-to-panic-shontel-brown-defeats-nina-turner-in-ohio-n406614&sessionId=0a236bd276d06c3c9f54b59e66acc2c55da5c56a&siteScreenName=hotairblog&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

Sorry, is the Congressional Black Caucus white leadership because they endorsed Shontel Brown? It always seems to amaze people on the far left that many Black voters aren’t socialists and won’t automatically pull the lever for the far left candidate. Anyway, I think this tweet sort of sums up where the Turner campaign went wrong.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?dnt=true&embedId=twitter-widget-3&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1422908554822967301&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fhotair.com%2Fjohn-s-2%2F2021%2F08%2F04%2Ftime-for-the-socialist-left-to-panic-shontel-brown-defeats-nina-turner-in-ohio-n406614&sessionId=0a236bd276d06c3c9f54b59e66acc2c55da5c56a&siteScreenName=hotairblog&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

Turner has a catch phrase she uses on the trail, “Hello, somebody.” But for not it looks like she’ll be saying goodbye to everybody. That doesn’t mean the left is going to learn anything from this. Team extreme, led by Sanders, AOC and Justice Democrats, will keep fighting the same battle without acknowledging that it mostly hasn’t gone well for them or their party. So far this morning, AOC hasn’t tweeted anything about the loss.

Today’s Fascistic War Against American Justice!

Federal judge grants DOJ an injunction on Abbott’s ban of ground transportation of migrants

KAREN TOWNSEND at HotAir:

Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice sued Governor Abbott over Abbott’s ban on ground transportation of illegal migrants last week. The purpose of his order is to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Texas and across the country. Migrants are testing positive for COVID-19 yet still being transported in vehicles, to ease overcrowding in shelters in border communities. A federal judge granted a temporary injunction to halt Abbott’s order Tuesday.

Abbott’s order said that “DPS is to stop & reroute, or impound any vehicle being used to transport illegal migrants who have been detained by Border Patrol.” Critics said this would lead to illegal stops by law enforcement and profiling. The goal is to stop anyone other than law enforcement from transporting migrants who may be infected with COVID-19 from place to place. This order is part of a disaster declaration signed by the governor on July 28. The DOJ threatened to sue if Abbott didn’t rescind the order. He didn’t so the DOJ sued.

Judge Kathleen Cardone, United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, granted a temporary injunction. She cited the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution as her reason for doing so. The Supremacy Clause states that the federal government is “the supreme law of the land” and federal law takes priority over state law. Her order prevents any state or local agents from enforcing any part of Abbott’s executive order as it pertains to transporting migrants. The DOJ claimed that state and local
officials were obstructing the federal government by limiting who could transport migrants taken into custody.

She cited two reasons, including because “it conflicts with, and poses an obstacle to, federal immigration law” and “it directly regulates the federal government’s operations.”

Her order continued: “The Executive Order causes irreparable injury to the United States and to individuals the United States is charged with protecting, jeopardizing the health and safety of non-citizens in federal custody, risking the safety of federal law enforcement personnel and their families, and exacerbating the spread of COVID-19.”

https://db7e39060814533ab31ed88a5c9a2477.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html

Hmm. She cites the “health and safety of non-citizens in federal custody” and chooses their health and safety over that of legal residents. The whole purpose of the ban on moving migrants around without proper supervision is to protect border communities that receive the overflow of migrants from shelters, often without local officials even being notified. COVID-19 spreads which endangers the health and safety of legal residents in these communities. Abbott says he is doing the job that the federal government won’t do in Texas.

Abbott said in a statement that the executive order was issued to protect Texans during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the “failures” of the Biden administration’s handling of the migrant crisis.

“I take very seriously my duties and responsibilities as the Governor of the State of Texas,” Abbott said in the statement. “I have the authority, and duty, under the constitutions of the United States and of Texas to protect Texans and our nation. I also have the authority under long-established emergency response laws to control the movement of people to better contain the spread of a disaster, such as those known to have COVID-19. My duty remains to the people of Texas, and I have no intention of abdicating that.”

The Biden administration is pleading with Americans to get vaccinated and do their part to mitigate the coronavirus yet the southern border is still open for a flood of migrants to cross over in the United States. Border Patrol and local law enforcement are overwhelmed by the numbers of migrants and they are not able to test them for COVID-19 as they are taken to shelters or released into border communities. Shelters put them on busses or planes and they travel on to other communities, often despite being contagious.

DOJ argues that the federal government “relies heavily on contractors and grantees to transport unaccompanied children to ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement) custody.” We know that the number of unaccompanied minors is at an all-time high and there is not enough personnel to properly care for them. If the policies of the previous administration were still in place, the humanitarian and public health crisis on the southern border wouldn’t exist as it does now. Biden’s policies are failing Americans, who are his first responsibility and encouraging the number of migrants to continue to grow, even in the hottest months of the summer.

Governor Abbott will continue the fight in court.

7 Ways The Conservative Movement Should Fight Critical Race Theory

The professional conservative movement should be moving massive amounts of money to support parents’ efforts and harden them as a target of this leftist onslaught.

By Joy Pullmann at the Federalist:

For the first time in ages, the political right has had a massive boon dropped right into its lap. Democrats are shaking in their boots over the political implications of their institutional support for the state-sponsored racism known as critical race theory.

Their initial attempts to Jedi mind trick away people’s concern by insisting CRT isn’t real failed, and even Nancy Pelosi mouthpiece Politico is reporting how CRT in schools is deeply offending the independent and Democrat voters crucial to the Democrat Party’s competing grievance groups.

So what is the institutional right doing to capitalize on this amazing opportunity? A few states are banning it from classrooms — amid the usual friendly fire butt-covering for do-nothing Republican politicians — while Democrats prepare for total war to maintain their control of the national child-indoctrination apparatus known as public schooling.

If the conservative movement and Republican Party were serious like the left is serious, here’s what it would be doing to use the CRT uproar for tactical advantage instead of maxing out their energies on chest-thumping panel discussions and TV appearances while parents with kids and full-time jobs try to do all the groundwork without air cover.

1. Counter the Unions with a Litigation Army

The nation’s largest teachers union announced it’s filled a $5 million war chest to provide legal defenses for any teachers caught pushing CRT. The Biden administration has nominated to a key U.S. Department of Education legal post a leftist extremist who previously wielded federal power to institute racist policies that forced schools to discipline children according to their skin color instead of their actions: “Under her leadership, civil rights investigations became tools of harassment to coerce changes in school policies.”

These institutions are going to use the might of the federal government, an army of lawyers, and the nation’s largest teachers union to defend their territory. Who is helping parents go on the offensive against state-sponsored racism?

One-man journalist army Chris Rufo is recruiting lawyer volunteers via Twitter. That’s great, but he shouldn’t have to do this himself. The professional conservative movement should be moving massive amounts of money to support parents’ efforts and harden them as a target of this leftist legal onslaught. Stop platforming leftist propaganda outlets and start hiring effective marketing strategists, investigative journalists, and scads of lawyers.

2. Vote Against All Nominees Who Support Disparate Impact Racism

Max Eden points out in City Journal that when racial extremist Catherine Lhamon underwent confirmation hearings as Joe Biden’s nominee for assistant secretary of USDOE’s Office of Civil Rights: “Republican senators… did not challenge Lhamon on her record on school discipline. Nor did they ask any questions on the issue at the forefront of so many voters’ minds: critical race theory.”

Later, one senator, Ranking Member Richard Burr, sent Lhamon written questions about racial extremism and Llamon dodged, claiming she could not answer any “hypothetical” questions. Eden notes:

While Burr deserves credit for forcing Lhamon to make her ambivalence about racial discrimination a matter of public record, it is a shame that no Senator was willing to ask her any of these questions directly during her hearing. The American people deserved to witness her reluctance to condemn racial discrimination. The exchange could have made national news and framed Lhamon’s nomination as what it likely is: a referendum on whether or not the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights should permit anti-white racial discrimination.

Republican senators are not elected by the people of their states to rubberstamp racial extremism. The least we ought to be able to expect them to do is probe and bring out nominees’ unfitness for office, then vote against those nominees as a consequence. Explaining that vote to constituents should be a no-brainer. Get better, Republicans. Kids being recruited by racists are counting on you.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?creatorScreenName=JoyPullmann&dnt=true&embedId=twitter-widget-0&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1420469086618677248&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fthefederalist.com%2F2021%2F08%2F04%2F7-ways-the-conservative-movement-should-fight-critical-race-theory%2F&sessionId=f4830e195cd1c92d68fb7a49893bef7c23517aa3&siteScreenName=FDRLST&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

3. Make Effectively Opposing CRT a Litmus Test for Office

It should also be a complete no-brainer to make effective opposition to critical race theory a litmus test for public office, including appointments and judges. Not just saying “I oppose CRT,” but displaying an effective track record of opposing it or things like it, or presenting a specific plan about how the candidate proposes to combat it with the power he wants voters to grant him.

We’re talking about an ideology that pushes eight-year-olds to rank themselves and their classmates according to their racial and sexual (?!) “privilege,” demonizes people according to their skin color, says babies can be racists, and encourages leading children in chants to an Aztec god. Opposing CRT should be like taking candy from a baby. If a candidate can’t or won’t do it, he’s worthless and better disposed of.

4. Pressure Elected Officials with Ads and Primaries

How does one dispose of weak public officials who won’t stop taxpayer dollars from funding racists? Pressure. The Republican Party and all its various local branches should make CRT opposition a requirement for getting their campaign dollars and other assistance.

If primary season is coming up, primary them. If it’s not, run ads pressuring them. Send journalists to look into the public money and institutions politicians oversee and whether it’s funding CRT, and ask them to comment on why this is allowed. Get allies to go on TV and ask why Politician A who oversees the education committee wouldn’t comment about evidence of tax dollars funding racism. This is politics 101, people. Lefties do this in their sleep.

5. Map the CRT-Enabling Policies to Destroy

Richard Hanania pointed out earlier this year that, months into the CRT explosion, National Review editor Ramesh Ponnuru and Republican Sen. Tom Cotton publicly stated that neither had any policy ideas about how to fight cancel culture. Hanania responded by noting that the cancel culture use of “racism” to tar and feather perfectly normal and nonbigoted ideas is backed by an entire legal apparatus that has accreted over the years under the “disparate impact” doctrine, sprouted from race-conscious “diversity” laws and jurisprudence.

“Disparate impact” is, of course, what critical theorists use to absurdly accuse the United States, babies, and white males of inherent and systemic racism. It is very much linked to policies that can and should be reformed. Hanania gives these suggestions for such anti-CRT reforms:

1) Eliminating disparate impact, making the law require evidence of intentional discrimination.

2) Getting rid of the concept of hostile work environment, or defining it in extremely narrow and explicit terms, making sure that it does not restrict political or religious speech.

3) Repealing the executive orders that created and expanded affirmative action among government contractors and the federal workforce.

This is a starting point for think tanks to delve into various laws and regulations to put out actually useful whitepapers. Give politicians and bureaucrats a map of exactly what policies the real antiracists want them to search out and destroy. That way we can better hold them to it.

6. Fund CRT Escape Pods

Philanthropists should get together and stick a bunch of money into an endowment — or endowments! — that distributes “critical race theory escape scholarships” for families stuck in school systems that are trying to make their kids racists.

State lawmakers should sponsor bills to create “antiracism choice scholarships” that make state funds available to families in school districts that are found to be teaching racism. As Chris Bedford notes, this is the time to institute universal backpack funding so parents never have to negotiate with racial terrorists again. Churches should step up to their historic commitments to provide a Christian education to all Christian children, and to serve the poor, by starting schools or crowdfunding CRT escape scholarships.

State think tanks should help fundraise for any and all of these, or provide startup funding and assistance to groups of parents to start non-racist charter and private schools, education “pods,” and homeschool communities. The possibilities for direct action to give affected children immediate lifeboats out of desperate situations are myriad.

7. Give Chris Rufo a Journalism Army

Parents need help using research skills such as filing open records requests to find out what their school systems are doing with their kids and tax dollars. They may also need lawyers to send threatening letters and even file lawsuits if school districts refuse to disclose this public information. This kind of discovery, and amplifying it, would be largely the work of journalists if the profession weren’t such a mess.

Again, Rufo is amazing, but he should be duplicated as much as possible. Get the guy a research assistant, and journalists and lawyers to extend his work to as many school districts as possible. How many parents really know what their children are being told in school? Very few.

Scared parents in my local district in a red state recently sent around an “I do not consent” form letter to bring to school this fall stating that they don’t want their children taught critical race theory. How is that enforceable? How would they know if the school went ahead and ignored them? Why is it even a thing that parents should feel the need to send letters like this to an institution they are funding and sending their children to? Who is backing them up?

I know who it should be: Those with the resources to make their concerns heard and enforced, through as many avenues as possible. The time to press this advantage — one of the few people on the political right have right now — is immediately, and as hard as possible. Don’t squander this moment. Who knows if and when another one like it will arise.

Lefty Tony Fauci “Wins” Woke Social Justice Award!

Fauci’s fitting award

By Alexander Nussbaum at American Thinker:

“A man is known by the company he keeps.” That is the moral of one of Aesop’s fables.

A telling event just took place that I have not seen covered in the conservative press. Anthony Fauci recently received the highest award given by one of the country’s most prominent left-wing social justice organizations. The American Humanist Association just bestowed on Fauci its Humanist of the Year award.

The American Humanist Association earlier this year stripped this award from Richard Dawkins, after 25 years!

Richard Dawkins was stripped of the award for not being devout enough to woke social justice (he had made dismissive comments about transsexuals). Apparently, Fauci is an impeccably devout social justice warrior in the battle against individualism, Americanism, and free enterprise. Clearly then when conservatives view Fauci as having an Anti-American political agenda they are not being paranoid.

The American Humanist Association is all about dogma, only not from a Christian or traditional Western point of view, but a leftist one. The AHA website proclaims its mission as “advocating progressive values.”  Progressives like the AHA  bend science to serve a belief system as much as any fundamentalists.

Fascistic Dems Own America’s News World, Television, Schools, Universities…BUT!

How is it playing in Texas?

By Silvio Canto, Jr. at American Thinker:

The current Texas legislative session will end on August 8 and the new one starts the next day.  The governor will continue to start new sessions until he signs the vote integrity law or they run out of money to support the Texas gang in Washington.  My money is on Governor Greg Abbott winning this contest.  The governor has time and the votes to move on.  The Democrats in Washington do not have the votes and depend on someone paying their hotel bills.

The Texas Democrats were visited by fellow liberals over the last couple of days.  It’s nice but won’t change a thing.  It’s sort of like your friend leaving you a voice mail after you got an eviction notice:  “Bro, I’m sorry to hear that and we’ll be thinking of you”

Last, but not least, Senator Joe Manchin is not supporting the “For the People Act”.  My guess is that the people of West Virginia are not into federalizing elections.

They are not getting help from President Biden either.   He seems focused on an infrastructure bill and the Delta variant has not helped the Texans get their phone calls returned in Washington.

Even Beto, the self-appointed defender of voting rights, is showing a little anger.  This is what he said:

“We have not gotten to that level of urgency that this crisis demands from us,” O’Rourke said in an interview ahead of the march.

I guess not, my friend Beto.

To my knowledge, there is no polling data on how this detour to Washington is playing back in Texas.  My gut feeling is that the Democrats have not gained many votes but have put their fellow legislators in competitive districts in trouble. Add redistricting to the mix and it won’t be pretty.

A liberal friend at church, who voted for Senator Elizabeth Warren in the 2020 primary, put it this way:  “Okay, you made your point.  Come home and do something about it in 2022.”

One way or another, they will return to Texas.  My only question is whether anyone will show up to greet them.

P.S.  You can listen to my show (Canto Talk).

The “Ridiculous New York Times”!

BY SCOTT JOHNSON at PowerLine:

THE TIMES’S CHINA SYNDROME

Last year the Washington Free Beacon reported that the New York Times had quietly deleted hundreds of “advertorials” that the Chinese Communist Party paid to publish. This week the Spectator published Dominic Green’s column reporting that the Times suppressed any inquiry into the origins of the Covid epidemic.

Dominic’s column links to and builds on the Free Beacon story. Dominic also links to Times reporter Alexandra Stevenson’s tweet below, which is linked in turn to her Times story.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?creatorScreenName=powerlineUS&dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-0&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1229391896532774912&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.powerlineblog.com%2Farchives%2F2021%2F08%2Fthe-timess-china-syndrome.php&sessionId=e8af3d5f2a916a3dbe547c163664665ca84b3139&siteScreenName=powerlineUS&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

Last night Tucker Carlson put these two stories together in his opening monologue (video below).

The Times submitted this statement to the Spectator:

Any accusation that the New York Times would refuse to investigate the origins of a pandemic is ridiculous.

In 2020, The New York Times Company made the decision to stop accepting and hosting branded content ads from state media, which includes China Daily. We do not discuss revenue beyond what is our quarterly earnings reports.

Lastly, where you mention Alexandra Stevenson’s article, I’d like to point out that our story — as is clear from the subheading and lead paragraph — was focused on speculation about a bioweapon manufactured by the Chinese government, an idea that was and is outside of the mainstream discussion among scientists.

Dominic includes the Times statement without further comment. It reads to me like an old-fashioned nondenial denial.

And Those Biden Dems Still Want TO DEFUND THE POLICE!

Harvard-Harris poll: “Defund the police” an even bigger albatross than ever

ED MORRISSEY at HotAir:

AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin

How often do we see three-quarters of Americans agreeing on anything? Apple pie probably wouldn’t get 75% approval in a poll these days. According to a new Harvard-Harris poll, however, three quarters of Americans have had enough of “defund the police.” They want more police officers on the street, stat:

A vast majority of voters say more police are needed on the street amid concerns over a rise in violent crime across the country, according to a new Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey.

Seventy-five percent of respondents said more police are needed on the street while only 25 percent say they do not need more cops on the beat.

Seventy-two percent of voters also said they oppose “defunding the police,” and a slim 52 percent majority said they support the controversial practice of stop and frisk in urban areas to “deter gun crime.” Fifty-six percent also say they oppose eliminating cash bail.

Unfortunately, The Hill doesn’t supply much more data than this from the survey results. The Harvard-Harris site doesn’t have this poll posted yet, so we don’t have any crosstabs, nor do we see much of the specific methodology on this iteration. Their site promises that they get over 2,000 respondents for their surveys, and that its results “reflect a nationally representative sample … weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, marital status, household size, income, employment, and education where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population.”

For now, we’ll have to take their word for it, but these aren’t narrow outcomes. A few percentage points one way or the other in the sample doesn’t artificially create 75/25 outcomes. This is not just a broad rejection of Democrats’ and progressives’ agenda on so-called criminal justice reform, it’s practically a consensus rejection — especially on policing. Those numbers don’t just reflect a partisan unity on the part of the GOP; those numbers would require large numbers of Democrats as well as Republicans and independents.

Assuming this holds up, Democrats might face a very bleak 2022 cycle. Republicans already plan to make the sudden spike in violent crime into a campaign issue, and will certainly tie Democrats to the progressives’ “defund the police” campaign. Democrats keep claiming that they don’t support that agenda, but mayors and city councils controlled by Democrats cut funding to police in several major metropolitan areas in 2020 and 2021. Minneapolis’ city council is still trying to disband its police force. Good luck running away from that.

About the only good news for Democrats in this poll is the 57% majority supporting decriminalization of marijuana. That’s hardly a priority in most voters’ lives, however, especially when they’re worrying much more about carjackings than toking up. The media will ready all of their existing stock of “pounce” and “seize” to misdirect attention away from Democrats on the crime wave and the voter dissatisfaction with it; The Hill even gets an early jump on that spin:

The poll comes as concerns about violence make it a top issue heading into the 2022 midterms, with Republicans looking to seize on the issue to cast Democrats as soft on crime.

Republicans are “seizing” on violence as a campaign issue … when 75% of the electorate has already identified it as a big problem? Heaven forfend. Expect a whole lot more seizing and pouncing in the months ahead, thanks to Democrats’ seizing of anger over the George Floyd homicide and turning it into a national nightmare.

MN Gov. Walz, of 2020 Mpls. Burning Fame, To Sell California Cars?

Walz misled Minnesotans on real effects of new car mandates, critics say

Article sent by Mark Waldeland:

Consumer costs are expected to increase by $2,000 to $2,500 per vehicle, despite the administration saying it’s “saving Minnesotans money.

“By Megan Olson -at Alpha News:

Gov. Tim Walz celebrated the enactment of new clean car standards in Minnesota during a Monday press conference.

The clean car standards are adopted from the state of California and will go into effect January 1 of 2024. With his Monday action, Walz directed the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to formally adopt California’s regulations.

The regulations will require automakers to sell a certain percent of electric vehicles as part of their overall sales and meet a higher fuel-efficiency standard for all vehicles sold.

Consumer costs are expected to increase by $2,000 to $2,500 per vehicle, despite the administration saying it’s “saving Minnesotans money.”

“We are sending a strong signal … to the market to get ready for this,” Walz said Monday. “This is being led by market demand.”

He also added that “this is being led by the manufacturers” but later said he hopes that “as [the mandate] starts to move forward, manufacturers start to say start getting on the ground here, starting to put those [vehicles] out.”

The Minnesota Automobile Dealers Association (MADA) has long been an adamant opponent of the California clean car standards. MADA is a business trade association that represents 375 franchised new car and truck dealers that directly support over 20,000 jobs in Minnesota.

The new clean car standards “impose an artificial supply mandate on the Minnesota marketplace,” said MADA President Scott Lambert. “Incentives and infrastructure are the proven way to get more electric vehicles on the road.”

Lambert’s group believes the new regulations will put “bureaucrats in charge of Minnesota industry.”

“The administration has mischaracterized the implications of this rule and misled the citizens of Minnesota on its real effects,” he said. “Minnesota does not have an air quality problem like California’s.”

The new standards were allowed to move forward after Senate Republicans abandoned their goal of delaying the new rules for two years, as reported by Alpha News last month. The Center of the American Experiment (CAE) submitted 46 pages of comments against the “unnecessary and unreasonable” regulations.

Following Walz’s press conference, CAE reiterated that the new mandates “will reduce consumer freedom, put more strain on our electric grid, increase the cost of buying a new car, and produce zero measurable environmental benefit.”

“These regulations are all pain and no gain for Minnesotans because they will import California’s broken energy policies to our state,” said Isaac Orr, policy fellow for energy and the environment at CAE. “California has already begged residents not to charge their cars during 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on several occasions to prevent rolling blackouts.”

Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, who was criticized by CAE for “caving” on the mandates, said he’s not surprised Walz “continues to issue mandates after the last 18 months.”

“His emergency powers may be over but his ego trip is not, and it looks like ‘One Minnesota’ is just ‘Walz’s Minnesota,’” he said.
