REVEALED: Top Chicago prosecutor Kim Foxx’s office has dismissed more than 25,000 felony cases – including murders, shootings, sexual assaults and Jussie Smollett’s ‘hoax’ attack

  • Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx dropped charges against 29.9% of felony defendants during her first three years in office, the Chicago Tribune found
  • Foxx’s case dismissal rate is more than 35% higher than that of her predecessor
  • The state’s attorney told the Tribune that its analysis gave an ‘incomplete picture of her commitment to keeping the public safe’
  • She said she’s dropped cases against low-level, nonviolent offenders so prosecutors can focus on violent crimes
  • But data showed Foxx’s office has dismissed cases involving murder, shootings, sex crimes and serious drug offenses at a much higher rate than her predecessor
  • Foxx gained notoriety last year when her office dropped felony charges against Jussie Smollett, the actor accused of staging a racist, anti-gay attack on himself

Remember Kamala? She Going To Mexico To Do Something?

Kamala promises millions of COVID-19 vaccines to Mexico – fully open border next?

AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin

Kamala Harris took a break from preparing for her upcoming trips to Vietnam and Singapore to participate in a virtual meeting with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO). He asked for more COVID-19 vaccines and she agreed. AMLO also wants the U.S.-Mexico border to be fully opened, as it was before the pandemic. No agreement has officially been reached on that topic.

We can note the irony of AMLO asking for the border to be re-opened at this time, given that the Delta variant is raging through Mexico and states like Texas at the moment. Also, the Biden border crisis is still with us, the number of illegal migrants flooding the border is at a historic high. AMLO no longer allows apprehended migrants to be sent back across the border as he did in Mexico’s agreement with the Trump administration, the Remain-in-Mexico policy. The migrants waited in Mexico for their asylum claims to be heard. Most of the thousands of migrants camping along on the Mexican border now are waiting for their opportunity to illegally enter the United States.

Mexico’s Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard announced during a press briefing this morning that the Biden administration will send 3.5 million doses of the Moderna vaccine and 5 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine “in the coming weeks.” The United States previously sent 1.35 million Johnson & Johnson vaccines meant to be distributed among all northern Mexican border states went only to Baja California. Let’s hope the next few million doses are distributed to the areas most in need along Mexico’s entire northern border to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 into the United States. The Biden administration and its mouthpieces in the press want you to think that COVID-19 isn’t playing a part in the current surges in cases in states like Texas but they are gaslighting Americans about that. Biden’s border crisis has brought both a humanitarian crisis and a public health crisis.

AMLO told Kamala that it is paramount that Mexico receives more vaccines in order to more adequately vaccinate its residents. Mexico’s assistant secretary of health said that as of late July, 43% of Mexico’s population 18 and older had received at least one vaccine dose. That would make sense as the Johnson and Johnson vaccine was previously sent to Mexico. It’s a single-dose vaccine.

President Obrador said this next round of donated vaccines would be used as part of Mexico’s general distribution plan without specifying whether the vaccines will go to a specific region of the country.

Mexico has made a recent push to vaccinate more people living along its northern border. Secretary of Security and Public Safety, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, said her staff has vaccinated 85.7 % of Mexicans 18 and older in 45 cities within six northern border states. That effort included 440,515 doses of the Pfizer vaccine given to people in Ciudad Juárez.

Rodríguez Velázquez said her staff would be back in the state of Chihuahua starting Aug. 25 to administer the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

As mentioned above, AMLO is antsy for the border to be re-opened to non-essential traffic, as it was pre-pandemic. Canada re-opened its border to vaccinated Americans yesterday. Free movement between the U.S. and Mexico, however, will be subject to the easing of the Biden border crisis and mitigation of the pandemic. A delegation of eight U.S. officials is meeting with AMLO today, including Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

Ebrard said the visit is part of a series of ongoing visits between U.S. and Mexican officials to both countries. Among the subjects Mexico leaders will discuss are reopening the U.S.-Mexico border to “non-essential” northbound travelers and the influx of Central American immigrants journeying through Mexico in hopes of reaching the U.S.

The U.S. has continuously extended restrictions that prevent Mexican citizens with visas from crossing into the U.S. via land ports of entry since March 2020, citing health concerns during the ongoing pandemic. However, U.S. citizens have freely crossed into Mexico throughout the pandemic, even before vaccines became widely available.

The U.S. last extended its land-crossing restrictions from Mexico to Aug. 21. According to Ebrard, Mexico is taking its cues from the U.S. about when the reopening will happen.

“We’ll see what Mayorkas tells us today,” Ebrard said.

Secretary Mayorkas told reporters in a visit to El Paso this June that lifting the restrictions at the southern border will be subject to health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It’s crazy to be considering re-opening the border with Mexico at this time. Hundreds of thousands of migrants have illegally crossed our border and that isn’t slowing any time soon. Re-opening the border should be used as a bargaining chip for more cooperation from Mexico to stop the flood of migrants coming across as well as distributing the vaccines the U.S. provides in strategic areas first – like a full concentration along the northern border of Mexico. That just makes sense.

It’s unclear when the vaccines will be delivered to Mexico. As with most announcements by the Biden administration, no real details were given. Moderna’s vaccine isn’t approved yet by Mexico’s health regulator Cofepris. The Biden administration is working with both Mexico and Moderna to resolve legal and regulatory issues so that the vaccines can be donated. The Mexican Foreign Minister expects the Moderna vaccine to be approved in Mexico soon. Overseeing vaccine acquisitions and importation falls to the Foreign Minister.

Our America’s Soviet Union Worshipper, Bernie Sanders, Is Bankrupting Uncle Sam!

Do you remember where decades ago, fascistic communist Bernie Sanders went to celebrate his marriage? ANSWER: The good old Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. I used to teach Russian. I had been to the Soviet Union on two occasions, in Summer, 1966 and again in Autumn in 1990 when I was fluent in the language.

Communist Bernie celebrated his marriage by touring the Soviet Union. I remember seeing his joy celebrating in the USSR on television but I can’t remember which nation covered the news. ghr

Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion Budget Resolution Would Transform The U.S. Economy As We Know It

Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion Budget Resolution Would Transform The U.S. Economy As We Know It

AUGUST 10, 2021 By Rachel Bovard at the Federalist:

The weeks upon weeks of negotiations leading up to the passage of a $1 trillion infrastructure bill were just the prelude to the absolute whopper that is the Bernie Sanders budget resolution, which hit the wires Monday morning and will hit the Senate floor Tuesday.

The $3.5 trillion document is a full-on attempt to remake the American economy, the labor markets, blow off our immigration laws, rewrite the tax code, impose a climate agenda, and profoundly alter the relationship between the government, and those it governs.

Among the bill’s highlights:

  • Amnesty for illegal immigrants
  • Rewrites Medicaid statutes to bypass the Hyde prohibitions on federal funding for abortion
  • Universal pre-kindergarten for 3 and 4-year-olds
  • Paid family and medical leave
  • Tuition-free community college
  • Medicare expansion for dental, hearing, and vision
  • Expansive climate change programs
  • Language similar to the PRO Act, which is a card-check program for labor organizing, making it easier to unionize
  • Expansion of the SALT deduction
  • Empowers the IRS with more enforcement capabilities
  • Does not include an extension of pandemic unemployment benefits
  • Does not include a debt limit increase, which sets up a September showdown
  • Up to half of the $3.5 trillion is financed with new debt
  • Increases taxes on corporations and those making more than $400,000 a year; decreases taxes on those making less

It is important to note that congressional budgets are blueprints. Budget resolutions never become law; they merely provide the umbrella document, or the outline, under which appropriations – the actual spending – takes place. Much of that process will begin in September when Senate committees put forward their reconciliation bill. Reconciliation also has an associated unlimited amendment process, or vote-a-rama, and passes with a simple majority.

Taken together, this current $1 trillion infrastructure bill, plus the $3.5 trillion budget resolution, which will be accompanied with a reconciliation bill of potentially an even greater amount, is one of the most aggressive efforts from Democrats in the modern era to transform the economy in their image.

At some level, you have to respect the moxie. Democrats are using a Democrats-only reconciliation package to transform the country. Republicans couldn’t even muster the votes on their own side to use reconciliation to repeal Obamacare.Rachel Bovard is The Federalist’s senior tech columnist and the senior director of policy at the Conservative Partnership Institute.

Nancy Pelosi: America’s Madame Defarge Except Far More Evil!

Pelosi’s Contemptible Fraud

Surely when this nauseating and redundant slanderfest bombs out, unreasoning Trump-hate will be a harder sell.By Conrad Black at American Greatness

August 9, 2021

It is depressing to consider that Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives committee of inquiry into the events of January 6 will probably not be generally exposed as the contemptible fraud that it is by the tainted and corruptly partisan national political and social media. It has already been adduced beyond challenge that President Trump advised his followers on January 6, if they went to the Capitol, to “demonstrate peacefully and patriotically.” On listening to his speech again, it is completely unexceptionable, and he gives clearly his complaints about the voting and vote-counting procedures.

A moron could deduce that where there are 44 million mailed and “dumped” ballots floating around, strange things are likely to happen in an election where a flip of 50,000 votes in three states would have changed the election result. It is an incontestable fact that the Trump Administration and campaign had nothing to do with what went on after the president addressed his followers near the White House on January 6. It is equally clear that almost none of the intruders at the Capitol were armed. There is not one scintilla of truth in any claim that President Trump or his collaborators had anything to do with promoting any intrusion at the Capitol or any physical threat to anyone, or any disturbance of the normal lawful processes of government. It has also been clearly established that President Trump, several days before the intrusion at the Capitol, offered 10,000 National Guardsmen as supplementary reinforcements in recognition of the fact that some of his supporters might be in a hostile mood on January 6.

The FBI, tarnished and demeaned by the Comey-McCabe politicization of the bureau though it is, can still presumably conduct a competent investigation. Hundreds of people arrested as Capitol trespassers on January 6 have been intensively interrogated for months with all the enticements available to American prosecutors to extort and suborn false inculpatory testimony with immunity against perjury proceedings, and nothing damaging to Trump or his campaign has emerged.

It is inconceivable that Pelosi’s one-party Star Chamber, pre-confected smear job of the former administration will produce anything of any probative value. The huge crowd that the president addressed on the morning of January 6 had come to Washington to demonstrate their outrage at what they believed—with considerable reason, despite totalitarian attempts to suppress all discussion of it—was a tainted election, and in addition to protesting the failure of the judicial system to judge the merits of any of the 19 lawsuits brought by the Trump campaign and other plaintiffs including the attorney general of Texas supported by 18 other states, to address the integrity of the voting and vote-counting procedures of the six swing states. (The election went off without any controversy at all in the other 44 states, which in itself implies targeted electoral tampering.)

In Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, there were a great many more votes than were needed to change the election result that were either unverifiable as valid or counted without the required effective observation of the representatives of all of the parties in the election. In each case, the modifications to voting conditions taken allegedly in respect of the requirements of the pandemic to facilitate access to the polls, were not approved by the state legislatures as the Constitution requires, but by either the state executive or judicial branches. None of these cases was judged on its merits and all were rejected for process reasons. In these circumstances, it would have been astonishing if the 75 million Trump voters and the candidate himself were not seriously aggrieved.

In the absence of a proper adjudication, no one can say with the circumstantial evidence that has accrued and is notorious, that there is not a significant possibility of a dishonest election. The refusal of the judiciary at several levels including the U.S. Supreme Court, to hear any of the relevant cases incites the inference that the high court at least was sufficiently sensitive to campaign and post-election Democratic calls for an expanded Supreme Court that they ducked the issue knowing that overturning an election result especially in favor of so controversial a politician as Trump would overload the system and create an intolerable state of controversy. That may have been a correct political decision and agitation for a radical alteration of the Supreme Court seems to have abated, giving the country an increased state of confidence of dispassionate verdicts in politically sensitive cases. But the justices are jurists and not politicians, and the high court’s evasions did nothing to assuage the anger and the disappointment of the Trump supporters and of Trump himself.

When current cant and emotionalism subside, it will be seen that Trump’s own response to what he has some reason to believe was the theft of an election was comparatively moderate: an address to a very large number of his supporters with a request that they be peaceful if they proceeded to the Capitol. The reason for the successful trespass was the rank negligence of Speaker Pelosi and the hopelessly incompetent mayor of Washington, Muriel Bowser, in ignoring the request of the chief of the Capitol Police transmitted by the sergeant at arms for reinforcements and in declining the president’s offer of reinforcements.

Instead of any promise of an objective inquiry following upon any unfinished business from the extensive investigations that have already been conducted by people whose avocation it is to investigate illegalities and not put on down-market political circuses, we can be sure of a Trump-hate burlesque of the impartial and dignified inquiry that the apologists and promoters of this pre-cooked farce have promised. It was enough to be confident of this when the Red Queen Pelosi banished two of the Republicans Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) dutifully nominated to a committee which he had declared in advance to be an industrial-strength smear job against the former president.

This was reinforced by Pelosi’s replacement nomination of two of the most vociferous Republican Trump-haters, Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.). And just to get us into the mood for the disgrace that was afoot, television viewers were treated to the greatest act of partisan and congressional pretended sniveling since Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), moved by President Trump’s temporary suspension of direct entrance into the United States from terrorism-exporting or afflicted countries in 2017, simpered that the Statue of Liberty was weeping and then induced a few tears himself. This week’s sequel was when Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and the most egregious and frequent liar in the Congress, still professing to have found evidence of collusion between President Trump and the Russian government that he has been unable to produce, started whimpering and sobbing with grief over some aspect of the January 6 episode. Kinzinger, who should be expelled from the Republican Party along with Cheney and any other Republican who voted to impeach Trump, gave a follow-up act which, while a better and lengthier simulation of weeping than Schiff’s almost slap-stick effort, was a less monstrous affront to the intelligence and taste of viewers.

This abominable charade will be an even greater enormity than the second Trump impeachment which, it will be recalled, occurred after Trump left office. The almost complete absence of integrity and responsibility of the American national political and social media is a national crisis. They may try to pretend that Pelosi’s kangaroo court is genuine but it will almost certainly be an even greater failure at mudslinging and defamation than the shameful Mueller inquiry and the two impeachments. Tom Friedman of the New York Times told us that Trump-Russian collusion was as serious an attack on the country as Pearl Harbor and 9/11; George Will and others make the 9/11 comparison. Surely when this nauseating and redundant slanderfest bombs out, unreasoning Trump-hate will be a harder sell.TwitterFacebookParlerShare onTwitterFacebookParler

That Lefty School War Against American Children Is On The March TO WHAT?

Pediatricians: Masking and social distancing impacting child development

by JAZZ SHAW at HotAir:

We still haven’t reached the end of the debate over how and when we will have all of the schools open for in-person learning. The teachers’ unions are still flip-flopping on things like vaccination mandates and other COVID-related restrictions. Not even all of the parents can seem to agree, though recent polling shows that most of them are ready to send their kids back to class. But that may not happen if there are mandates in place for children regarding social distancing and, more to the point, face masks. Now we’re seeing some leading pediatricians weighing in on the subject and the news is not great for kids. Forcing them constantly wear face masks and not physically interact with each other is producing verifiable negative impacts on their early development. (CBS Pittsburgh)

Playing with your peers is an important part of child development. However, kids aren’t socializing as much due to the pandemic, which doctors say is leading to concerning outcomes.

“We’ve seen some language delays and more social anxiety. The inability of a child to leave their parent and go play with other children,” said System Chair of Pediatrics at AHN, Dr. Joseph Aracri.

Dr. Joseph Aracri said this is the case particularly for toddlers.

“What happens in that phase of child development is when a child is leaving their parents. They’re trying to separate from their parents and figure out their own identity. Why they throw temper tantrums,” said Dr. Aracri.

I’ll include my regular disclaimer that I’m not a doctor and have no medical training. But doesn’t this sound like something that should have been fairly obvious to everyone, particularly parents? That much of a change in a child’s normal routine combined with constantly hearing doom and gloom about the terrible virus that’s killing everyone can’t be healthy.

As the doctors in the linked article confirm, children need to interact with others of their own age as they first leave the nest. If they are kept locked down at home with only their immediate family members, they’re missing out on that stage of their early development.

Even if they are allowed to go to school or the playground, their normal interactions involve physical contact, whether it’s hugging, holding hands, wrestling, or playing tag. Being scolded and told that they can’t touch anyone else is simply abnormal. And the face masks are probably the worst of all. A lot of communication is nonverbal and involves reading the expressions on people’s faces. Making everyone go around looking as if they’re about to rob a bank and leaving children unable to interpret those expressions can’t produce a positive result.

The pediatricians interviewed for this report pointed to instances of delays in the development of language skills and heightened levels of anxiety. I’m sure even adults can understand the anxiety part, but the impacts are multiplied at that early stage of development. And if your child is lagging in mastering language skills, that’s a serious red flag.

We’ve already been assured repeatedly by the CDC that transmission rates in schools are low and very few children experience severe effects if they do manage to contract COVID. They need to be able to play and sing and just be children. The knee-jerk reactions from far too many people who want to insist on keeping the kids in masks and six feet apart are not helping. And based on this report, they’re arguable hurting the young ones they claim to be trying to save.

“These Crazy Liberals Who Pillage, Burn, and Murder Are Under Age 40! Those Dems Who Create Crazies Are Age Pelosi!”

Over the last few years, a number of friends around the country have said to me, following one of Ilhan Omar’s outrages, surely she can’t be re-elected now. I have had to explain that the things Omar does that we view as radical or worse are, sadly, popular with most of her constituents. This illustrates what I am talking about: the chairman of the Minneapolis DFL Party expounding on the glorious burning of the Third Precinct police station:https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?creatorScreenName=powerlineUS&dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-0&features=eyJ0ZndfZXhwZXJpbWVudHNfY29va2llX2V4cGlyYXRpb24iOnsiYnVja2V0IjoxMjA5NjAwLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X2hvcml6b25fdHdlZXRfZW1iZWRfOTU1NSI6eyJidWNrZXQiOiJodGUiLCJ2ZXJzaW9uIjpudWxsfSwidGZ3X3NwYWNlX2NhcmQiOnsiYnVja2V0Ijoib2ZmIiwidmVyc2lvbiI6bnVsbH19&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1424790618996416513&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.powerlineblog.com%2Farchives%2F2021%2F08%2Fhow-crazy-are-liberals.php&sessionId=a1d1e51a6f26631881f97e2c2c6b3a656c06549c&siteScreenName=powerlineUS&theme=light&widgetsVersion=1890d59c%3A1627936082797&width=550px

These people are beyond reason. They aren’t going to change until the cities for which they are responsible hit rock bottom. And in their minds, at least, that hasn’t happened yet.

The Left’s Revolution Dominates Every American Height, And They Don’t Know Why We Aren’t Cheering

The Left’s Revolution Dominates Every American Height, And They Don’t Know Why We Aren’t Cheering

Herein lies a glimpse into just what kind of knuckle-draggers the left thinks we are. They think patriotism means we’ll do whatever they say whenever they say it.

By Christopher Bedford at the Federalist:

“Rooting against Olympians, scoffing at Capitol police, broaching civil war — meet today’s conservative movement.”

That’s the opening of an article last week at Vox.com. You’ve probably heard of Vox. Their self-proclaimed, self-aggrandizing purpose is to “explain the news.” But when Vox’s condescending reporters start talking about conservatives, Christians, guns, or really anyone outside of a few coastal cities, they have a habit of sounding like Jane Goodall observing apes.

So, what’s their qualm now? Let’s let them explain it in their own words:

[There is a] rising tendency in the conservative movement to reject America itself. In this thinking, the country is so corrupted that it is no longer a source of pride or even worthy of respect. … Queer female soccer stars demanding equal pay, Black basketball players kneeling to protest police brutality, the world’s best gymnast prioritizing her mental health over upholding the traditional ideal of the “tough” athlete — this is all a manifestation of the ascendancy of liberal cultural values in public life. And an America where these values permeate national symbols, like the Olympic team, is an America where those symbols are worthy of scorn.

Worthy of scorn; imagine that. Underperforming and overpaid people who for a living play a game no one watches want to be paid the same as people who are better players and earn more viewers.

Rich athletes publicly spitting on their country, their flag, and the men and women who have died for it, so they can push left-wing lies.

An enormously talented athlete quitting on the brink of competition, and saying the problem was she wanted to compete only for herself, not for her coaches, her teammates, or her country.

These are indeed “all a manifestation of the ascendancy of liberal cultural values in public life.” They’re the fruits of a spoiled, privileged, narcissistic, and self-obsessed revolution that began in the late 1950s and has been fighting its way to power ever since. They have it now, and it isn’t simply confined to our sacred soccer ball kickers.

Sports is just the latest, but look at its sponsors: You can be a subpar professional athlete, but if you spit on the flag you get a lucrative Nike contract.

Remember that Nike ad, “Believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything”? It featured Colin Kaepernick. The only problem is, he didn’t sacrifice anything — he discovered he could be paid a lot more playing the American public than he could playing football as a backup quarterback.

Now, thanks to his fake bravery, he gets to decide if the first flag of the United States is permissible. He says it isn’t, because America wasn’t perfect 245 years ago — and Nike sanctifies that decision with a lucrative payout.

They don’t mind; Nike may still be headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, but at heart they’re a Chinese company. That’s the People’s Republic of China: a godless slave state that uses forced labor to manufacture products and criminalizes dissent. That’s a country Nike respects, or at least one it cares about offending. Guess what: We don’t like that.

They’re far from alone. Silicon Valley was once a symbol of American enterprise: Young men working in their garages to harness technology and revolutionize our lives. Now Silicon Valley symbolizes the most powerful private companies the world has ever known — and they use that power to crush dissent, censor presidents and critics, and push left-wing propaganda. Turns out, when they do that we don’t like them.

We can go on. Blackrock sends its urchins to buy up affordable homes in growing cities to transform a society of homeowners into a society of servile tenants.

Mastercard and IBM build international databases for tracking humans so they can bar them from travel and commercial activity if they don’t take an experimental vaccine. Or, in MasterCard’s case, maybe they’ll ban you if they just dislike your politics.

Bank of America refuses to make loans to American gun manufacturers out of principle while making a $1 billion gift to Black Lives Matter, a racist, anti-American, anti-family, grifty riot squad responsible for dead police, murdered innocents, and burned-out cities. Huh — turns out we don’t like any of that either.

How about the Pentagon? Conservatives used to respect it because it won wars and embodied the finest of American values while doing so. But now the Pentagon loses wars, throws away lives, and wastes trillions of dollars while trashing those fine American values.

The military used to be a strict meritocracy. Now, they cut standards in the name of diversity. They used to demand that every soldier be fit and ready for war. Now, they slash the requirements for our troops’ physical performance and brag about maternity flight suits.

They teach weak and disgusting left-wing racism in their academies, they target Christians, they insult the middle-America conservatives who do most of the fighting and an overwhelming share of the dying in our armed forces. While our enemies run ads touting the manly virtues necessary to a warrior life, our generals run ads about having two moms. It’s not very intimidating. And hey, we don’t like it.

Ladies and gentlemen, we could all go on with example after example, but the point is this: The left got their revolution, the one they spent decades screaming and agitating for. They got their ideologues into the halls of power — not just the university halls, not just the halls of Congress, but all of them: Business, media, military, sports.

If there is an institution in your life and it’s not a good church, chances are that institution has implemented one policy after another pledging itself to the dogmas of the left. Now, the left is shocked — shocked — that we don’t like it one bit.

There was an America that we loved. It was an America of religious liberty and freedom of speech, and equality before the law. An America that loved what is beautiful rather than what is warped and ugly. An America that loved its founders and loved its children. An America that knew that whatever prosperity it possessed, it owed it all to the Almighty, and that it had a solemn duty to Him in return.

That was the America we loved. An America that hundreds of thousands of young men proved they loved more than life itself. We still love that America, and we’re not just going to cheer and applaud their active desecration of it.

Herein lies a great little glimpse into just what kind of knuckle-draggers the left thinks we are. They think patriotism means we’ll do whatever they say whenever they say it. “Drink your can of beer, sit on the couch, and cheer for sports. You like sports, don’t you, you ape? Come on, watch them on your 60-inch Chinese TV you bought at Walmart.”

“Buy our cheap, foreign products, do it now. You like free enterprise, don’t you? What’s more free than your boys and girls in the Navy guarding Chinese ships shipping Chinese products from Chinese companies to run-down American towns that were once industrial hubs?”

“You like cheap things, don’t you? I thought Republicans loved sports and business!”

“When Gen. Mark Milley says jump, you say how high. When he says you’re racist and you are showing white rage, nod along. When he says standards are overblown, and that diversity is our new strength, salute. Come on, don’t you support our troops?”

They don’t get it. They don’t get that we don’t honor and salute empty institutions and buildings! We don’t just bow down before the local magistrate’s hat on a stick.

They don’t get that a church is not just some building that can be made into a nightclub, it’s where we worship God — and it’s from his presence that it derives its meaning.

They don’t get that people watch sports for athletic excellence, good old American entertainment, and the thrill of cheering for the guys fighting for your team. No one watches sports to be condescended to, regardless of what uniform the athlete has on.

They don’t get that we respect the flag and the Americans who’ve fought and died for it and will again, but that doesn’t mean we stand and salute the Pentagon and all the foolish politicians in the brass.

They also don’t get that we’re not all 100 percent serious and miserable all of the time, like a couple of CNN anchors we could name; we still have a sense of humor. So yes, when a woman with an ugly heart says ugly things about America and then flops in a big soccer tournament, we’re going to chuckle about it. Maybe even laugh out loud. Maybe we will have that cold beer.

We’re Americans; we don’t resent success in sports, business, or military service. But as Helen Andrews of The American Conservative recently wrote, conservatives don’t resent the left’s success — we resent the ways they actively harm us. And we’ll never accept the rotten version of America they tell us we’re supposed to love.

America is worth saving. If you live in a major coastal city, leave it whenever you can and see that America. It can sometimes be hard to find — the left has warped it viciously. Today this country kills its children in the womb, celebrates decadence, and glorifies decay, but if Vox is onto anything it’s this: We are onto them. And we’re not buying it. And America lives on in our hearts.

There are a lot of problems in this country. We’re experiencing a secular elite trying to justify their existence in any way they can. Things are going to get worse before they get better, because they want things to and it makes them feel good.

But there’s no God at the end of this tunnel. Just as with drugs or money or sex, no amount of Black Lives Matter,  climate change activism, and yard signs can fill the hole they’re feeling. The good news is, it won’t work; the bad news is, our experiment is delicate and badly damaged.

The work — going to school board meetings, running for local office, speaking up in our towns and our cities and our states — is hard work. We’re going to lose friends along the way, but we will lose this country forever if we don’t, so there’s really no choice at all, is there.Christopher Bedford is a senior editor at The Federalist, the vice chairman of Young Americans for Freedom, a board member at the National Journalism Center, and the author of The Art of the Donald. Biden Dems’ Fascism ON THE MARCH!

Is Our Ruling Class Smart, Dumb, or Really Dumb?

By Christopher Chantrill at American Thinker:

The question that keeps occurring to a confirmed regime opponent like myself in this First Year of the Great Biden Era is this: What is really going on? Is the ruling class executing on a brilliant strategy to transform the political landscape for the next generation? Are they just fumbling along, trying to keep ahead of their wokist crazies? Or are they executing another of Baldrick’s Cunning Plans that will inevitably blow up in their faces?

Let’s look at Option One. The closest thing I have ever seen to a brilliant strategy is Bill Clinton’s 1992 “New Democrat” campaign: nobody here but us moderates. But HillaryCare proved that a lie, and so the voters gave us the first Republican Congress in 50 years. So “New Democrat” was just a tactic to win an election. Then there was the Emerging Democratic Majority from Judis and Teixeira in the early 2000s about the inevitable Democratic majority of the educated, the young, the women, and the minorities. How’s that coming along, dear Democrats, down on the border?

Of course, then there is Sundance’s Fourth Branch of Government theory, that ever since Obama, the U.S. has been ruled by the intelligence community that knows everything about us, and can send a Donald Trump to hell any time it wants. Maybe the lefties and the gumshoes think this is brilliant. I don’t. The whole point of politics is to have a safety valve to avoid civil war. So the whole place doesn’t blow up.

The Biden U-Turn on the COVID rent moratorium and the student loan relief extension and the continued unemployment bonuses suggest Option Two: trying to keep ahead of the peaceful protesters. If I were Mr. Big I would be saying to my aides that the longer these handouts continue the harder it will be to eliminate them. This is because the longer the checks go out the more people will adjust their lives around the monthly check and be really angry if it ever goes away.

See, if I were president I would be trying to get the economy back to normal as soon as possible, because I would be worried that all the handouts would distort the economy, and unleash inflation, asset bubbles, and recessions that would wreck my presidency. I would bark at my aides that despite the narrative, FDR really screwed the economy in the 1930s, and the Great Society programs set up the inflation of the 1970s, and the slow recovery from the Great Recession of 2008 was a prime reason why the voters have been turning to Republicans in recent years, and that the massive spending proposals of my administration were bound to cause economic and political trouble in the near future, certainly before 2024. That’s what I’d be thinking, for all that I’m no genius.

Then there is Option Three: Baldrick’s Cunning Plan that turns out to be not so cunning after all. How about this:

Colorado federal magistrate judge, N. Reid Neureiter, “sanctioned lawyers who challenged the 2020 presidential election results, calling their election claims ‘fantastical.’”

Because if a lowly “magistrate” is doing this, then he is getting the word from on high. Imagine the outrage from high and low in our beloved ruling class if, back in the day, federal magistrate judges started sanctioning Democratic lawyers for pushing Hillary Clinton’s Russian Collusion fantasies. I mean, really! You guys want to go down that road, denying the courts to crazy Republicans? Surely, it would be much better to give them full rein to rummage around and come up with nothing and prove the regime narrative that there is nothing to see here.

And that is to say nothing of the Five Year Plan to get rid of Donald Trump. Earth to Ruling Class: Donald Trump was not an insult to the noblest ruling class that ever bent the arc of history towards justice. It was a message that you guys got trouble, right here in River City, if you keep trashing and humiliating and utterly ignoring the religious and cultural and political and economic needs of the ordinary middle class.

You guys would get the picture if you just thought for a moment about your sacred Ally narrative: that you are Allies of the Oppressed Peoples against the White Oppressors. If you were real Critical Theorists you would at least try out a Critical Ally Theory: what if the Allies are really the most conceited and dumb-as-a-post ruling class in history; what if the Oppressed Peoples are just recent migrants to the city that haven’t yet built the skills to master life in the city, no thanks to the Allies; what if the White Oppressors are just the ordinary middle class that wants to follow the rules, go to work, and obey the law? And how would you brilliant educated critical theorists know which witch is which?

Loony Tunes Biden Warns Taliban’s Afghanistan

Biden is “warning” Taliban not to take over Afghanistan

Joe Biden’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, was dispatched back to Qatar to deliver a “blunt” message to the Taliban’s political office in that city. He’s bringing them a warning from the White House, telling them to “not bet on” a military takeover of the country. This effort offers the public a rare glimpse into what’s been going on during these periodic negotiations. Since taking office, the Biden administration has been very secretive about ongoing talks with both the Taliban and Iran. As far as Afghanistan goes, the results speak for themselves. They just took back three more provincial capitals and have two more under siege. So are they going to suddenly start listening to reason now? (Associated Press)

A U.S. peace envoy was back in the Middle East on Tuesday to warn the Taliban not to pursue a military victory on the ground and deliver a blunt message: A Taliban government that comes to power through force in Afghanistan will not be recognized.

The U.S. State Department said Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. envoy, was in Doha, Qatar, where the Taliban maintain a political office, to “help formulate a joint international response to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Afghanistan.”

The development comes amid a weekslong, relentless Taliban offensive as American and NATO forces finalize their pullout from war-torn Afghanistan.

It’s not that this was a poor decision on the part of the White House. It’s always preferable to attempt diplomacy before resorting to anything more drastic. But at the same time, we should be keeping at least one foot in the real world. The Taliban’s office in Qatar is a public relations team and nothing more. They exist to feed positive quotes to the international media and to see what, if anything, they can extract from America and our allies. They have no control over the movement of the Taliban militants back in their country and likely don’t even have direct lines of communication with them.

This is how it’s gone for quite some time now. The public face of the Taliban gives the appearance of negotiating in good faith while their troops continue to do what they always do. With the allies bugging out, the Taliban is retaking the country one chunk at a time. They never had any intention of honoring any agreements they made and it’s always been their plan to wait for the foreigners to leave and get back to business as usual. Sadly, that business will involve slaughtering anyone who worked with the Americans or the government we helped to establish there.

Once Kabul falls, the people paying the heaviest price will likely be the young women and girls of Afghanistan. We already know that the murder of women and children started months ago and is only ramping up now. There is an entire generation of young Afghan women who grew up knowing only a world where the Americans and our allies offered them protection and they came to enjoy additional freedoms and a slightly more western civilization where they could obtain an education and move about more freely. Now they will be forced to fall under strict Islamic codes of dress and conduct or face brutal repercussions, assuming they aren’t simply killed outright.

Sadly, the United States is out of options for the most part. We learned last night that we have deployed some of our biggest warplanes, B-52 bombers and AC-130 gunships, back to Afghanistan in an attempt to slow the Taliban’s advance. Task and Purpose described the move as an effort to “slow the country’s impending collapse.” Those are powerful tools to be sure, but there’s only so much you can accomplish from the air. And the further the Taliban pushes into all of Afghanistan’s cities, the more difficult it is to conduct significant bombing runs without generating massive collateral damage.

The end is approaching and it’s coming far sooner than anyone in the Biden administration publicly predicted. It’s definitely not going to be pretty and we’re going to need full congressional investigations when this is over to determine why the withdrawal wasn’t better organized from the beginning.
