Is Tiny Delaware Noted For Creating Creepy Joes?

June 18, 2022

Did Ashley Biden reveal her father, Joe, is a creep to the point of pedophilia?

By Andrea Widburg at American Thinker:

It’s no secret to anybody paying attention that Joe Biden has an unwholesome obsession with little children, especially little girls.  He can’t seem to keep his eyes, his hands, or his nose off them.  The Daily Mail has also released text from a diary kept by Ashley Biden, Joe’s drug-addicted, sex-addicted daughter, mentioning inappropriate showers with her father at a young age that may have led to her unhealthy sexual obsessions.  Tucker Carlson, upon learning of this, launched an incendiary attack against Biden, the system that’s long protected him from closer scrutiny, and the DOJ and FBI harassing journalists for investigating the story.

Both of Biden’s living children — Hunter and Ashley — have substance abuse problems.  What’s less well known is that they both suffer from sex addictions.  Hunter has never admitted to this addiction, but the contents of his hard drive make it patently clear that sex (and his own genitals) are obsessions with him.  Moreover, because sex triggers the pleasure centers in the brain, it can be as much an addiction as drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.

As for Ashley, she has acknowledged having a sex addiction, at least in the diary she left behind in a halfway house.  A Florida woman found the abandoned diary and tried to sell it, which was an unprincipled act but not an illegal one.  Nevertheless, Joe sicced the FBI on the woman and on Project Veritas — even though Project Veritas tried to return the diary to Ashley Biden (and was refused because her representatives didn’t want to acknowledge that it was hers) as well as trying to give it to law enforcement (which is more than the New York Times would have done had it ever found something compromising about Trump’s children).

Now that the Daily Mail is starting to reveal the contents, it’s obvious why the diary is such a hot button for the Biden family:

The diary’s explosive contents include Ashley’s speculation that showering with her father, then-Senator Joe Biden, as a young girl may have contributed to her sex addiction.

‘I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate),’ she wrote in a January 2019 entry.

[snip]

The president’s daughter wrote that she was ‘hyper-sexualized [at] a young age’, details her chronic drug abuse, affairs outside her marriage, how her finances were ‘down to the wire’ and how she made Joe cry with worry over her ahead of a Democratic primary debate.

Well!  That’s not something you read about every day — a “president” whose daughter thinks hanging around naked in the shower with her daddy when she was a child might have caused her to become a sex addict.

It seems, too, that Joe Biden isn’t the only man in the family who is hanging around inappropriately with kids.  In a series of text messages that Hunter Biden sent when Hallie Biden (his girlfriend and the widow of his dead brother) threw away the gun that he’d illegal obtained, we get an insight into her concerns about Biden’s second son:

Hunter lamented that Hallie, the widow of his brother Beau, had given the impression he’s “an abusive pedophile with homicidal tendencies” and said that “that’s now in the hands of the FBI.” He said police and the bureau opened an investigation into him over the incident. The Secret Service also inserted itself into the saga, according to other texts from Hunter, although the agency has denied involvement.

Considering that the issue was about drugs and a gun, you have to wonder where that “pedophile” thing comes in.  Oh, wait, I know!  There was the other material on Hunter’s hard drive that indicated that he had a thing about underage girls.

To give context to Joe Biden’s weirdness around children, here’s a video that juxtaposes images of Joe Biden pawing and sniffing little children with a completely unrelated, but incredibly apropos, talk about how pedophiles groom children:

Tucker Carlson was very upset by the whole thing — that is, what Ashley Biden wrote in her diary and the fact that Joe Biden apparently instructed his DOJ (and the FBI) to attack people who hadn’t committed any federal crimes, merely because they had contact with Ashley’s pathetic musings.  He courageously addressed the whole situation and strongly suggested that Joe resign, both for being a creep and for abusing his office:

Joe Biden’s occupancy of the Oval Office so vividly personifies what’s clearly America’s nadir.  Not only is he presiding over failure (the economy), humiliation (Afghanistan), and surrender (the border), but he also embodies the sexual degradation that is spreading across America.  Indeed, with his executive order that sets up the conditions for even younger “treatment” for allegedly “transgender” children, I wonder if he’s trying to push the Overton window (the parameters of normalcy) so that his bizarre behaviors with young children get normalized, too.  It’s all just so wrong.

Whatever Happened TO THE AMERICAN SOUL?

Alabama church shooter was a licensed firearms dealer

by JAZZ SHAW Jun 18, 2022  at HotAir:

AP Photo/Butch Dill

On Thursday evening, 70-year-old Robert Findlay Smith walked into a pot luck dinner being hosted for senior citizens at St. Stephen’s Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, pulled out a handgun, and killed three of the parishioners. All three of the victims were in their 70s or 80s. Smith was prevented from killing anyone else by another elderly participant who hit him with a chair and pinned him down until the police arrived. Yesterday he was charged with capital murder. As of today, there still hasn’t been much of anything revealed about the motive for the attack, but some interesting details have emerged about the shooter. For one thing, he was also a congregant at the church. For another, he was a holder of a federal firearms license and ran a firearms business out of his home.

Robert F. Smith, a 70-year-old man prosecutors claim shot and killed three people inside an Alabama church Thursday, was a licensed gun dealer, according to government records. Federal inspection reports show that Smith had received a warning letter from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in 2018 related to missing gun inventory…

Smith’s home in Vestavia Hills is registered with the ATF as the primary address for Original Magazines 2, a business with a federal firearms license. The license is valid until 2025, according to ATF records.

But federal inspection reports compiled by The Trace show that Smith had received a warning letter from the ATF in 2018 involving missing inventory and incomplete record-keeping.

This attack doesn’t technically qualify as a “mass shooting” by current media standards because there weren’t four people shot. But this incident is drawing plenty more media attention because the shooter is, from all appearances, a white Christian male. Compare that to an actual mass shooting on the North Side of Chicago recently where two died and seven were hospitalized, but you have to root around through the local CBS News outlet’s feed to find anything about it. I’ll leave you to guess what the difference is.

The Alabama church shooting will no doubt be fed into the endless media demands for more gun control laws. But before taking any such “evidence” seriously, we should try to understand what actually happened in Vestavia Hills. First of all, this doesn’t look like a “random” attack. Smith was a congregant who had attended services there in the past so he clearly had some connections. There doesn’t seem to be any racial motivation to make it a “hate crime,” and it probably wasn’t religiously motivated if it was one parishioner shooting other parishioners. Unless and until Smith explains himself we’re left without any real answers. Perhaps he just had a beef with some of the other people in the church.

So where did Smith get his handgun and would any proposed laws have prevented this from happening? The guy runs a gun shop. He has an FFL. He has already passed every conceivable background check in the world. He wasn’t using an “assault rifle” (though he allegedly has some for sale in his shop). By all accounts thus far he was using a very ordinary handgun.

Aside from the advanced ages of both the shooter and the victims, this shooting actually falls into the same general category as most of the shootings that regularly happen around the country. Those are the ones you almost never hear about because the majority of them involve gang violence and we’re not supposed to talk about that because of racism or whatever. But if you seriously want to “do something” about gun violence in this country, let me turn your attention back to the coverage of that Chicago shooting I linked above.

One of the three shooters involved is 21-year-old Jaylun Sanders. As I pointed out on social media just this morning, Sanders already had a warrant out for his arrest from previous gun crimes dating back to January. But he was released without bail and failed to show up for his court date. (You’re shocked, I know.) And then he showed up on the North Side and started blowing people away. So do you really want to do something useful to reduce shootings in America?

THEN STOP LETTING ALL OF THE TRIGGERMEN OUT OF JAIL IN THE NAME OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND “POLICE REFORM.”

This ends today’s public service announcement.

That Crooked Hillary And Her Lonely Husband WHO LED OUR USA TO TODAY’S PERVERSE AMERICA!

Bill and Hillary’s midterm message: “We are standing on the precipice of losing our democracy”

by KAREN TOWNSEND Jun 18, 2022 at HotAir:

(AP Photo/Seth Wenig, File)

Maybe these two should sit this one out. The most corrupt political couple in recent history is weighing in with messages meant to scare voters to the polls in November. Democrats face an epic shellacking in the November midterm elections. Lacking any productive ideas, the Clintons offer a doom and gloom scenario if Republicans manage to pull off the red wave that will surely come.

There were two separate interviews. Bill Clinton was a guest on James Corden’s late-night television show while Hillary Clinton was interviewed over lunch by the Financial Times. The message was the same, though. American democracy is teetering on the edge of existence. They spoke after the third January 6 committee hearing. A new poll says a majority of both Democrats and Republicans believe America will “cease to exist” as a democracy. Let me stop here and note that first, America is a constitutional republic, not a democracy, and the poll referenced is one that surveyed only 1,541 adults. There is no distinction made if they are registered or likely voters.

Their interviews followed the Yahoo News/YouGov poll released on Wednesday showing that 55% of Democrats and 53% of Republicans share that belief in a stunning sign of pessimism about the country’s future.

Additionally the poll found that a majority of Republicans – 52% – say it’s likely that ‘there will be a civil war in the United States in [their] lifetime’ while half of independents – 50% – and a plurality of Democrats – 46% – agree.

The poll, which surveyed 1,541 adults and was conduced from June 10 (the day of the first January 6th hearing) until June 13 (the day of the second hearing), also found Americans have largely given up on one another.

Members of both parties picked negative phrases to describe the person across the political aisle.

Bill Clinton told James Corden Wednesday night that he fears the United States could ‘completely lose our constitutional democracy’. Imagine that kind of hackery coming from a former president, especially one so corrupt as Bill Clinton. Our constitutional republic survived his years in office which, included the first impeachment since Andrew Johnson. Naturally, Bubba found a very sympathetic interviewer in James Corden.

Corden asked Clinton how he stays ‘so positive in what has been a very, very dark few years’, without mentioning Donald Trump by name.

The Democrat admitted it was ‘impossible to be pessimistic about the future’ while he was watching his grandchildren growing up, but went on to paint a bleak picture of America’s future – just hours after the third hearing from the January 6 committee hearing.

‘I actually think there’s a fair chance that we could completely lose our constitutional democracy for a couple of decades if we keep making — if we make bad decisions, Clinton added.

‘I’m not naive about this. I’ve been in a lot of fights. I’ve lost some, won a bunch. I’ve been elated and heartbroken,’ he continued.

‘But I’ve never before been as worried about the structure of our democratic form of government,’ he added.

Hillary’s lunch interview with the reporter from the Financial Times was a bit more traditional. On Friday she was asked why Democrats seem hellbent on losing elections by focusing on causes that only affect a small minority of voters – like transgender activism.

Reporter Edward Luce suggested to her that the Democrats ‘seem to be going out of their way to lose elections by elevating activist causes, notably the transgender debate, which are relevant only to a small minority’.

‘We are standing on the precipice of losing our democracy, and everything that everybody else cares about then goes out the window.’

‘Look, the most important thing is to win the next election. The alternative is so frightening that whatever does not help you win should not be a priority.

It’s really quite ballsy for these two grifters to be weighing in at this point in time, especially in the aftermath of what has been exposed of Hillary’s campaign’s involvement in trying to overturn the 2016 presidential election. Hillary was in such denial of her loss to Donald Trump, a social friend of her and Bill, that her campaign conjured up a story meant to destroy Trump’s victory and that led to a narrative that continues today from Democrats that Trump was a puppet for Mad Vlad Putin. It was an outlandish plot from the start but Democrats fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Hillary was the one who first coined the words ‘the vast right-wing conspiracy’ when Bill first ran for president. Their troubles are always because of evil Republicans, not because of their own actions. The irony is that the problems Democrats face in November are all self-inflicted. American voters have had enough of the constant lecturing about social issues when their priorities are simply trying to survive in Biden’s America. Inflation, supply chain shortages, national security, and our open borders are much more important to most Americans than climate change or gender and sexuality issues.

Hillary and Bill are irrelevant in today’s politics. That is what happens to aging former presidents and first ladies. When Republicans take back the House and possibly the Senate in November, and very likely the White House in 2024, the Clintons will continue their transition into being completely irrelevant. Instead of gracefully stepping aside, they cling to the spotlight, especially Hillary.

Our constitutional republic is strong, despite the doom and gloom from the Clintons. America has survived many challenges, including the Clintons time in power. Hillary will not even be held accountable for her role in trying to overturn the 2016 election.

Bill Clinton advised Americans to “be vigilant.,” He told the audience the country has to “stand up for what we believe in.” Then he said, “And don’t return hatred with hatred.” Perhaps he should mention that to his wife, the one who labeled Trump voters as Deplorables.

Guess What Happened TO OUR JOE!

JUNE 18, 2022 BY JOHN HINDERAKER at PowerLine:

BIDEN TAKES A FALL

The question, can Joe Biden possibly fall any further? was answered this morning, as Joe did a biking photo op in Delaware. The answer: Yes. Yes, he can:

IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE! the Democrats say. Sure. Just like Afghanistan, inflation, the prices of gasoline and groceries, the most incoherent energy policies in world history, rising crime, millions of illegals crossing the border, and impending recession could happen to anyone. But they happened to Joe. Coincidence? You be the judge.

Meanwhile, the fact that Biden is a frail, elderly man well past his prime, which itself was nothing to write home about, is blindingly obvious and unhelpful to Democrats who try to pretend that all is well.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE AMERICAN BRAIN WHEN GOODNESS AT SCHOOLS NO LONGER EXISTS?

June 18, 2022

When Globalism Falls, American Liberty Will Rise

By J.B. Shurk at American Thinker:

Dynamic change is unsettling.  We humans grasp at the status quo and squeeze.  Alas, the globalist cartel wants to “fundamentally transform” the world, and whether we like it or not, we are along for the ride.  Many Westerners are only now waking up to the reality that a ridiculously small group of influential “elites” have been pushing us down this path for quite some time.  Future history books will highlight (when factual history returns to education) how WWII served as the inflection point for unleashing a torrent of international institutions and norms (disguised as mechanisms for “maintaining the peace”) that have succeeded in concentrating wealth and power in a small number of people intent on ruling over everyone else.

Their centralized control over monetary currencies has made them fabulously rich and left everyone else in debt.  Property, income, purchases, inheritances — everything you “own” through the fruits of your labor is taxed and laundered by corrupt legislatures back into the pockets of the same currency-manipulators who print money and buy off politicians for a living.  You are taxed for simply holding a dollar in your hand because every day, that dollar loses value through intentionally constructed inflation used to prop up stock market “growth” while destroying middle-class savings.  The World Economic Forum wants Westerners to “own nothing,” and by golly, through taxation and inflation alone, it’s halfway there.

The globalist cartel lies about everything.  The same players who bemoan “income inequality” have used the post-WWII order to steal at least half the value of every person’s lifetime of labor.  (American colonists rebelled over a tax rate of 1%!)  The same “woke” corporations that rail against the “structural racism” of Western “colonialism” have been conquering the world, exploiting poor nations for cheap manufacturing, and sucking up the savings of wealthier nations through the new-age religion of rampant consumerism.  Globalism is colonialism, but public relations firms have spent decades hiding that obvious truth.

The globalist cartel does not care about “trans rights” or “fighting hate” or “climate change.”  It cares about keeping society distracted with silly mass movements, idol-worship, and unscientific doomsday fantasies while it pursues its own interests and hidden agendas.  New World Order “elites” couldn’t be happier that they have whipped up so many mindless “serfs” into such a frenzy that the peasants senselessly demand that their own speech be regulated, religion outlawed, and energy use rationed.  When the squabbling members of society fight among themselves, government power grows to control the chaos.  When only the globalist cartel is allowed free speech, and only the rich and powerful can afford fuel, then only the globalist religion can be heard and spread.

Chasing that elusive one-world-government perpetual motion machine, “elites” always delude themselves into believing they are destined to “rule.”  They fail to imagine that there are smarter people who have never sought great wealth or power.  So committed to their Darwinian belief that “natural selection” proves their own superiority, they have become certain that a future technocratic totalitarian state (with them at the top) is inevitable.  And just as with every attempt to rule the world before it, pride comes before the fall.

The same technologies used to control us today will liberate us tomorrow.  Whereas centralized digital currencies seek to steal our labor and trap our wealth, decentralized currencies beyond the reach of central bank manipulation will open markets to real free trade.  Whereas the national security surveillance state monitors our communications, decentralized protocols will again secure our privacy.  Whereas Big Tech and Big Media have maliciously partnered with Big Government to control the dissemination of information and news, the same workarounds above will eventually break corporate control for good.  Necessity is still the mother of all invention, and when people smarter than the global cartel decide that fighting back is necessary, globalists’ monopoly on control will fade.

At the end of the day, it comes down to trust.  Nobody is buying what the globalist cartel is selling.  Their lies and manipulations have become too obvious for too many.  People now realize that truth lies only outside the system.

Ask yourself, who has been more accurate about the major news stories of the last few years — the government-controlled news cabal pushing the “narrative” or your local conspiracy theorist expressing doubts?  Did Obama’s FBI not spy on Donald Trump’s campaign?  Did Hillary not invent the Russia collusion hoax?  Did mandatory lockdowns for the Chinese Flu not crater the economy, bankrupt businesses, and cause excess deaths?  Did closing tens of thousands of schools not harm children?  Did using people as guinea pigs to test experimental “vaccines” not result in unnecessary medical injuries?  Did recklessly printing money not lead to predictable inflation?  Did the globalist cartel’s push for Green New Deal controls over every individual’s consumption of energy not jack up fuel costs and the price of food?  Did U.S. politicians not use a “health crisis” to foist uncontrolled and unsecured mail-in ballots on the 2020 election?  Was that election not fraught with predictable fraud?  Has fighting Russia in Ukraine not weakened America’s national security by destabilizing global food and fuel production?  Has that conflict not strengthened Russia and China at America’s and Europe’s expense?  Are we not closer today than before the “rules-based international order” imposed unilateral sanctions on Russia to losing the benefits of the world’s use of the dollar as its reserve currency?

According to my math, local conspiracy theorists have been correct every single time.  The global cartel’s news propagandists, on the other hand, have not told the truth once.  When institutional legitimacy comes crashing down, dreams of one-world government come crashing down, too.

Government’s Illusion of Choice

I believe in the benefits of creative destruction.  I believe, as Thomas Jefferson once observed, “that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.”  I believe that Westerners are waking up to the reality that the game has been rigged against them for quite some time and that among the many things stolen from them has been their liberty.

Is it not strange that in America, neither of the two major political parties can be described as standing for the type of liberty from tyranny for which Jefferson and his compatriots fought?  Whatever Establishment Democrats and Republicans believe, it is not a healthy appreciation for the Bill of Rights, expansive individual freedom, or limited government.  It is as if Americans have been forced to choose between two parties, neither of which aptly represents their principles or priorities, is it not?

To me, conservatism makes sense only when it is a means to the end of protecting human liberty.  Otherwise, it can do just as much bad as good.  To conserve for the sake of conserving without worrying about what we’re conserving is like operating on a patient without worrying about whether you’re performing the correct surgery on the correct patient for the correct ailment.  It is the life of liberty that matters; the operating room, the prestige of the doctor’s education, and the esteemed traditions of the hospital matter not a lick if liberty dies on the table.

Conservatism is most effective when it is thought of as a procedure, not a philosophy.  Chesterton’s fence is an excellent rule of thumb by which to live, but it shouldn’t so overwhelm one’s worldview that a person becomes incapable of bulldozing down an occasional fence.  Human liberty is what we seek to conserve, not the act of conservation in and of itself.

Or rather: It is better not to “conserve” globalism’s monstrosities and better still to rebuild courageously a free America ourselves.

Police in Uvalde PLAYING FASCIST?

Uvalde police claim they don’t need to release records about shooting

by JAZZ SHAW Jun 18, 2022 at HotAir:

AP Photo/Dario Lopez-Mills

There is an interesting pair of headlines out this weekend related to the Uvalde school shooting. One, from NBC, claims that the Uvalde police have “agreed to cooperate” with an ongoing probe. That announcement came from state representative Dustin Burrows who is the chair of the legislative committee investigating the shooting. He claimed that the city of Uvalde Police Department has agreed to send witnesses to testify before the committee. So that sounds helpful, right? It’s been like pulling teeth so far, but we might actually get the information we need as districts across the country consider additional safety reforms.

But that makes this second headline from Vice seem all the stranger. It turns out that the City of Uvalde and its police department have retained the services of a private law firm. And yesterday, that law firm claimed that the municipal government and the police department are not obligated to release any records related to the shooting to the media or the public.

The City of Uvalde and its police department are working with a private law firm to prevent the release of nearly any record related to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in which 19 children and two teachers died, according to a letter obtained by Motherboard in response to a series of public information requests we made. The public records Uvalde is trying to suppress include body camera footage, photos, 911 calls, emails, text messages, criminal records, and more.

“The City has not voluntarily released any information to a member of the public,” the city’s lawyer, Cynthia Trevino, who works for the private law firm Denton Navarro Rocha Bernal & Zech, wrote in a letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The city wrote the letter asking Paxton for a determination about what information it is required to release to the public, which is standard practice in Texas.

So on what basis are the attorneys claiming that the city and the police department should be exempt from releasing records to the public? You may want to make sure you’re sitting down before reading this part. The law firm is claiming that some of the records could be “highly embarrassing,” involve “emotional/mental distress,” and are “not of legitimate concern to the public.”

I had to rewrite this paragraph several times to avoid publishing any NSFW language here. But are you kidding me? “Highly embarrassing?” I suppose if you screwed up your job badly enough (and clearly someone did) it might be embarrassing, but that comes with the territory and it could happen to anyone. The rest of the excuses offered are even worse. If you think standing around outside the school during an active shooter event might be emotionally or mentally distressing, perhaps you should talk to the students and teachers who watched their classmates and fellow educators getting gunned down in a classroom. Or check with the parents of those who were lost, injured or in danger.

Claiming that the records are not of legitimate interest to the public is simply insulting. Something went very badly wrong with that school’s safety protocols. Until we know where the wheels came off, we can’t be sure that those deficiencies are being properly addressed. And every other school in the country needs that information as well. Don’t even get me started on the fact that both the school and the police department are all funded by the taxpayers, so their records are a matter of public interest by definition.

In other news, it has now been revealed that two officers had the chance to shoot the gunman, but elected not to for fear of striking children or teachers.

Two Uvalde city police officers passed up a fleeting chance to shoot a gunman outside Robb Elementary School before he went on to kill 21 people inside the school, a senior sheriff’s deputy told The New York Times.

That would mean a second missed opportunity for officers to stop Salvador Ramos before the May 24 rampage inside the school that killed 19 children and two teachers. Officials said that a school district police drove past Ramos without seeing him in the school parking lot.

The unidentified officers, one of whom was armed with an AR-15-style rifle, said they feared hitting children playing in the line of fire outside the school, Chief Deputy Ricardo Rios of nearby Zavala County told the newspaper.

The opportunity to take the shot lasted only seconds according to the officers. I suppose we can’t fault them entirely if there were children playing in the schoolyard beyond where the shooter was walking. If they had taken the shot and missed, they could have potentially wounded or even killed a student while alerting the suspect to their presence. That would likely have spurred him to rush into the school all the faster to take cover.

From the moment the shooter reached room temperature, this entire investigation has reeked of denial, blameshifting, and secrecy. An event that was already a staggering tragedy has now begun leaking poison into the environment because the citizens of that area can’t possibly be expected to trust their law enforcement officials moving forward. And the Chief of Police was scheduled to be seated on the City Council. It’s almost too much to wrap your mind around.

Trouble In The White House!

The Hill: Biden’s team “tapped out” as WH exodus increases

I’d call this a brain drain, but … y’know …

A couple of months ago, media outlets compared the attrition rates between Kamala Harris’ office and the West Wing to report that the VP had a real retention problem. Today, The Hill reports that Joe Biden’s catching up:

The White House has faced a slew of departures recently, with several top officials announcing at once that they are moving on after 18 months in the administration during a time when President Biden’s job approval rating continues to sink amid consistently poor marks politically. …

One senior administration official acknowledged that many aides are “tapped out.”

“It’s been a long few years,” the official said. “The burnout is real. It might not be the ideal time to leave with everything going on, but it’s the right time.”

The official explained the early summer months are considered the best time to leave, before midterms season begins. “And then you’re really locked in,” they added.

The Hill’s Alex Gangitano and Amie Parnes claim that 18 months is typical for White House turnover, but that argument has a couple of issues. First off, we’re not at 18 months yet, and technically we haven’t gotten to 17 months until Monday. However, it’s more customary to stick around through at least the midterm cycle before looking for greener pastures, especially in White House jobs that usually hold more prestige than other staffer positions on Capitol Hill.

At least that’s better spin than Karine Jean-Pierre’s “not everyone is leaving” response two weeks ago.

In this case, it appears that Biden’s team is looking to escape before the stench of the midterms sticks to everyone inside the White House. And well they should, especially since that stench legitimately belongs to them as well as Biden himself. People who contributed to the Biden confidence-crisis cascade, or at least couldn’t talk Biden into taking rational steps to stanch it, are not going to be viewed as terribly compelling candidates for political and policy jobs.

There’s another problem with this churn at this particular point in time, too. Biden and Ron Klain have to fill these slots when they come open, and … who wants to come work in this trainwreck White House? Especially when Biden insists that he wants to stay the course on the same idiotic policies that created the confidence-crisis cascade, and that everyone should just “be confident” in his leadership?

Truthfully, plenty of people will still want to work in any White House, just for the prestigious resumé entry. But people who have the skills and intelligence to find work elsewhere will likely choose other options, as long as other options are available. Klain & Co will have to replace departing staff with second-tier candidates or rookies with so little experience that the difference would be negligible. That’s the same problem afflicting Harris in staffing issues as well, for different reasons. Harris is proving not just incompetent but apparently also miserable for the working environment. Biden’s just incompetent, but that’s not much of an improvement.

If Biden’s team is “tapped out” at the seventeen-month mark (or just shy of it), imagine what that will look like in Month 22, when Biden might preside over the worst midterm result for a president in well over a century. Not too many will “be confident” in Biden after the kind of shellacking that polls suggest is on its way … not even inside the West Wing.

“HAIL CLARENCE THOMAS!”

A stirring tribute to Clarence Thomas from … Sonia Sotomayor

ALLAHPUNDIT Jun 17, 2022 at HotAir:

I can honestly say I’ve never seen a liberal humanize Clarence Thomas as eloquently as this.

Then again, I’ve never seen a liberal humanize Clarence Thomas.

And she did it in front of an audience of progressives, to boot. Here are your two feelgood minutes of the day:

Sotomayor is the most aggressive ideologue of the three liberals in her questioning during oral arguments. She was also at the heart of the rumors last year that Neil Gorsuch refused to wear a mask on the bench to help protect her from COVID. (Both she and he denied it.) And of course, the Court is experiencing a … difficult stretch lately between the leak of the Dobbs draft, the cameo from Ginni Thomas in January 6 coverage, and reported infighting over matters various and sundry.

That clip isn’t what you’d expect from this particular justice at this particular moment.

In fact, the last time Thomas himself spoke publicly about the Court, he used the opportunity to take a thinly veiled shot at John Roberts:

“The court that was together 11 years was a fabulous court. It was one you looked forward to being a part of,” Thomas said, setting the end of that era as 2005, when Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist died and Roberts replaced him.

“We actually trusted — we might have been a dysfunctional family, but we were a family,” Thomas said, adding, “You trusted each other, laughed together. You went to lunch together every day. … This is not the court of that era.”

Hoo boy.

Of the three liberals on the Court, Stephen Breyer and Elena Kagan are both typically assumed to be chummier with the conservatives than Sotomayor is. Breyer is courtly and seemingly unflappable. Kagan is a consensus-builder. It’s Sotomayor, the most ostentatiously activist of the bunch, whom you might guess would bear grudges against the Republican majority. And if any Republican is likely to prove especially grating to her, you might further guess that it’d be Mr. Conservative, Clarence Thomas, the left’s least favorite justice.

Not so. In fact, Sotomayor spoke warmly of Thomas last year too:

As an example, Sotomayor explained that people find it odd that she considers Justice Clarence Thomas a friend, even though their judicial philosophies are so different. But she said there are few men who have a “kinder heart” than him. When someone in her family died, he sent flowers. And when she has been sick, he checked in on her.

“I see in him the basic caring about people that I have,” Sotomayor said. “We are both committed friends and committed family members.

“And so, in seeing that good in him, there is no reason for me to take our personal disputes and translate it into our personal interactions. We work together. We have to work together for the rest of our time on the court.”

It’s remarkable that she’d go to bat for Thomas in a roomful of lefties when we’re probably just days away from Roe being overturned. Maybe that’s who she is, able to compartmentalize her political grievances from her personal feelings to an unusual degree in this era. Or maybe the justices have decided, individually or collectively, that the institutional blow they took from the Dobbs draft being leaked needs to be remedied somehow. If you’re worried about the public viewing the Court as just another political actor bitterly divided along partisan lines, one way to counter that impression is to remind the public that the justices admire each other. You’ll never catch someone in Congress saying that about someone on the other side. It could be, in other words, that Sotomayor’s engaged in a small bit of institutional credibility-building here.

Dems Are Great At “Illegal Voting”!

Jan. 6 Committee Ignores Clear Evidence Of Mass Illegal Voting, Systematically Broken Election Laws

The Jan. 6 Committee completely sidestepped the verifiable evidence of systemic violations of election law, illegal voting, and more.

MARGOT CLEVELAND

In its attempt to blame former President Donald Trump for the crimes committed on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol, House Democrats have spent the week focused on Trump’s unsupported claims of widespread election fraud. The Jan. 6 select committee and the legacy media outlets promoting the show trial completely ignore, however, the verifiable evidence of systemic violations of election law, illegal voting, and the constitutionally deficient execution of the November 2020 election—including issues Trump challenged following the election.

Georgia provides a peach of an example. President Biden won Georgia and the state’s 16 electoral votes by a margin of 11,779 individual votes, but before the state certified the results of the November 2020 election, Trump challenged the outcome, raising several issues both in and out of court. Trump hammered accusations of fraud in Fulton County, claiming counterfeit ballots secreted in suitcases and vote-flipping by Dominion Voting Systems gave Biden the victory. But Trump also contested the Georgia results based on evidence indicating that tens of thousands of illegal votes were improperly counted.

While Trump’s legal team argued illegal votes in some 30-plus categories were improperly included in the final election tally, violations of Section 21-2-218 of the Georgia election code alone closed the gap between the two presidential candidates. That section provides that state “residents must vote in the county in which they reside, unless they changed their residence within 30 days of the election” and “outside of the 30-day grace period, if people vote in a county in which they no longer reside, ‘their vote in that county would be illegal.’”

Shortly after the November general election, Mark Davis, the president of Data Productions Inc. and an expert in voter data analytics and residency issues, compared voting records obtained from the Georgia secretary of state’s office with the National Change of Address (NCOA) database. After excluding individuals who moved within 30 days of the general election, Davis “identified nearly 35,000 Georgia voters who indicated they had moved from one Georgia county to another, but then voted in the 2020 general election in the county from which they had moved.”

Trump highlighted this evidence during a telephone conversation with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. His election lawyers, he said, noted from that data they “have actually hard numbers” of tens of thousands of votes that were counted illegally, and that with the margin of victory less than 12,000, “that in and of itself is sufficient to change the results or place the outcome in doubt.”

The lawyers explained that they “would like to sit down with your office . . . if you are able to establish that our numbers are not accurate, then fine.” While the secretary of state’s representative indicated he was “happy to get with our lawyers and we’ll set that up,” Cleta Mitchell, one of Trump’s election lawyers, told The Federalist that meeting never happened.

“We had tried for weeks to get the secretary of state to sit down with us to review the data,” Mitchell said, noting that Raffensperger just kept saying the Trump campaign’s data was wrong and, “We said, ‘Show us, then, where it is wrong.’”

But instead of meeting, according to Mitchell, the day after their call with the secretary of state’s office, lawyers sent Trump’s legal team “a very nasty letter saying they wouldn’t give us any data until we dismissed all pending litigation.” Then, after Trump’s team dismissed the lawsuit following Senate candidate Kelly Loeffler’s withdrawal of her objections to the Georgia electors and asked for the promised meeting to review the data, the secretary of state’s office withdrew the offer, Mitchell told The Federalist.

While Trump’s legal team was unable to either present their evidence in court or secure a meeting with the Georgia secretary of state’s office to compare the data, Davis continued to pursue out-of-county illegal voting. Last year, Davis told The Federalist that in May 2021, he obtained an updated voter database from the secretary of state’s office and compared that data to the NCOA information he had processed in November.

As I reported at the time: “When Davis ran the data, he found that, of the approximately 35,000 Georgians who indicated they had moved from one county to another county more than 30 days before the November general election, as of May, more than 10,300 had updated their voter registration information, providing the secretary of state the exact address they had previously provided to the USPS. Those same 10,000-plus individuals all also cast ballots in the county in which they had previously lived.”

Davis’s follow-up analysis provided solid evidence that there were enough votes cast illegally in a county in which the citizens no longer resided to equal the margin separating Trump and Biden. And that was but one category of illegal votes identified by Trump’s legal team.

Mitchell, now a senior legal fellow at the Conservative Partnership Institute, told The Federalist that in addition to the individuals who moved out of a county more than 30 days before the election and then voted illegally in their prior county, Trump’s legal team identified an additional 30-plus categories of illegal votes that were wrongly included in the certified totals.

“We never were able to present our evidence to the court, however, because the chief judge of Fulton County, Chris Brasher, failed to appoint a judge eligible to hear the election contest for a month,” Mitchell said.

None of those 30-plus categories involved the Dominion Voting System, claims of counterfeit votes, or ballot harvesting, but concerned specific violations of the Georgia election code. And those numbers far exceeded Biden’s 11,779-vote margin of victory.

Yet the January 6 Committee and their cohorts in the press cast all the challenges to the November 2020 tabulations as crazy conspiracy theories of fraud peddled by Trump to steal the election.

The same anti-Trump media lied about Trump’s telephone call with Raffensperger, falsely telling the country that Trump had “pressured the Georgia Secretary of State’s chief investigator Frances Watson” to “find the fraud,” promising that she would soon be a “national hero.” But two months later, when the transcript of the call was released, it became clear that Trump was speaking of establishing there were 11,780 illegal votes from the various categories identified by his lawyers.

“The fact is we had already found many more illegal votes than the margin (11,779),” Mitchell told The Federalist, “We didn’t need to ‘find’ anything.” “We already knew which votes were illegal and had been included in the certified total,” the election lawyer said, stressing that, under Georgia law, if the “evidence established that there are more illegal or irregular votes than the margin of victory, the remedy is a new election.”

Last July, the secretary of state’s office confirmed to The Federalist that its “investigation into the approximately 35,000 residents who moved from one county to another more than 30 days before the election remain[ed] ongoing.” But follow-up outreaches to Raffensperger and key members of his staff inquiring on the status of the investigation went unanswered.

Meanwhile, the Jan. 6 Committee continues to spin challenges to the November 2020 election as concerning nothing but nonsensical claims of voter fraud. With the corrupt media’s cooperation, the vast majority of Americans may never learn of the systemic violations of election lawillegal voting, and the disparate treatment of voters in violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution, the latter seen most clearly with the infiltration of funding from Mark Zuckerberg to targeted Democratic-heavy populations.

Heck, it’s unlikely most members of Congress know of these systemic problems with our electoral system. But with midterms around the corner and Democrats likely facing a bloodbath, don’t be surprised if left-leaning politicians and their friends in the press discover substantial problems in about five months’ time.
