(“Biden continues to poll poorly”!)

Voters Give Biden 43.5% Approval Rating, Prefer GOP to Control Congress in New Insider Advantage Poll

By Debra Heine at American Greatness:

October 27, 2022

In the latest poll conducted by Insider Advantage for the Center for American Greatness, Joe Biden’s approval rating remains anemic at 43.5 percent, and Republicans lead Democrats by nearly five points on the generic congressional ballot.

The national survey of 750 likely voters showed that 61.1 percent of respondents disapproved of Biden’s job performance, and another 2.5 percent had no opinion or were undecided. Specifically, only 26.9 percent said they wholly “approved” of the job Biden is doing, while another 16.6 percent said they “somewhat approve.”

Among women, Biden garnered 48 percent approval, while only 38.3 percent of males approved of his job performance.

An overwhelming 93.1 percent of Republicans disapproved of Biden’s job performance, with only 6.5 approving. Among Democrats, 84.9 percent said they approve of the job Biden is doing. Significantly, only 32.3 percent of Independents approved of Biden’s job performance, with 60.6 percent disapproving.

Biden continues to poll poorly with whites and Hispanics, with 38.9 percent and 39.3 percent approval ratings, respectively. Among whites, 60.9 percent approve, and among Hispanics, 53.2 percent disapprove of Biden’s job performance. Biden garnered 73.4 percent approval from blacks, with a total of 23.4 percent disapproving.

Biden got his highest marks, surprisingly, among older Americans. He garnered 50.3 percent approval among likely voters aged 65 or older. Among likely voters aged 40 to 64, he received 42.5 percent approval, and he faired worst among 18 to 30 year-olds, with only 39.9 percent approval.

On the question of which party they wanted in control of Congress if the election were held today, likely voters preferred Republicans over Democrats 48.2 percent to 43.5 percent, with 8.3 percent having no opinion, or undecided.

Among men, 55.8 percent said they preferred Republicans and 40.8 percent said they preferred Democrats to control Congress. Women said they preferred Democrats over Republicans 46 percent to 41.1 percent.

Divided by age, Democrats fared best with older Americans with 49.7 percent saying they preferred them to stay in power, and 45.4 percent saying they prefer Republicans to take control. Among likely voters aged 40 to 64, 48 percent said they preferred Republicans, and 41.5 percent said they preferred Democrats. Surprisingly, the youngest subset of voters, aged 18 to 39, said they preferred the GOP to take control of Congress 49.5 percent to 41.5 percent.

Independents favored Republicans to Democrats 53.2 percent to 33.2 percent.

What Happens When The Lefty Fascists REALLY COUNT PRESIDENTIAL BALLOTS as in 2016?

OCTOBER 27, 2022 BY STEVEN HAYWARD at Power Line:

TODAY’S ELECTION TIDINGS

Some relevant items out today, starting with a new USA Today poll that not only finds surging Republican support, but that Republicans are drawing “40% of Hispanics and 21% of Blacks . . . To compare, Republican Donald Trump carried 12% of Blacks and 32% of Hispanics in the 2020 presidential election, according to network exit polls.”

This trend, if it continues, is an extinction-level meteor heading straight for the Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, the party of “diversity and tolerance” is blocking Rep. Mayra Flores, the first Mexican-born member of Congress, from joining the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, because she’s a Republican. Another reminder that for Democrats it’s all about ideology, and not your ethnic group. No wonder they are losing support from blacks and hispanics.

The Nation magazine asks in an email slugline: “What are you drinking on election night?” They’re trying to plump for The Nation Whine Club. . .  I mean, Wine Club, but if I were The Nation, I’d ask what kind of hemlock with leftists want on election night.

The China Lie Exposed

By William Levin at American Thinker:

The Chinese Communist Party has held only 20 party congresses in its history, one every five years, and few as notable as the just-concluded meeting at which President Xi Jinping claimed his unprecedented third five-year term. In a two-hour address, Xi aggressively signaled that China will focus on national security, invest in a “world class military,” “develop unmanned, intelligent combat capabilities,” and unrelentingly pursue the takeover of Taiwan under the banner of “reunification.”  All this against a backdrop of asserted rising external threats from the West and a forecast of “high winds, choppy waters and dangerous storms.”

It did not take long for Chinese investors to react. On Monday, the Hang Seng plummeted 6.4% (equivalent to a 2,000 drop in the Dow Jones index), for the largest one-day drop since November 2008. The index is down 42% for the year and within 2% of its 52-week low. In the tech sector, e-commerce giant Alibaba fell 10%, bringing its losses to more than $600 billion since it peaked in October 2020. Chip stocks are being dumped in response to expected U.S. export controls. The property sector is facing unrelenting pressure from massive over-building and excess debt. Chinese entrepreneurs are leaving the country. Official and unofficial accounts track massive movements of capital to havens outside of China. All in all, quite the contrast to President Xi’s boasting rhetoric of “the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.”

Hidden in the current malaise is a far more startling fact. The Hang Seng index is now officially flat since 1997. In the comparable period, even after U.S. market declines, the S&P index is up 3.2x, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq is up 5.9x. These numbers lay bare the fundamental lie that communism can coexist with, and channel free enterprise growth. Twenty-five years of stagnation, especially during the boom in technology, contradicts the narrative promoted by Chinese leadership, believed by many, that China will inevitably eclipse U.S. economic performance.  Doubling down, liberal pundits such as Thomas Friedman fawn over the command and control powers of the Chinese government, in contrast to our messy democracy, especially when it appeared China was in an unstoppable ascendency from the 1980s onward.

The misreading of China has its roots, as much else, in Nixon’s opening of China in 1972, which neatly works out to its 50th anniversary. Lost to current memory, Nixon was motivated to invigorate China as a counterweight to the Soviet Union, a misreading perhaps understandable at the time, but that has worn poorly as China has emerged as the leading global threat to the West.  Feeding Nixon’s decision is the “useful intellect” of the story, Henry Kissinger, who even to this day retains his aura of command as America’s foremost statesman. In reality, Kissinger has been an unrelenting shill for China and Chinese interests: in books, in public pronouncements, and within the insular world of the foreign policy establishment.  It comes as no surprise that one of Kissinger’s greatest boosters is none other than President Xi, who called Kissinger an “old friend of the Chinese people.”

Due to the miracles of declassification, Kissinger’s infatuation with China, and his infatuation with himself as the instrument of global power realignment, can be heard in his own words. The ‘present at the creation’ moment is dated July 14, 1971, and it is a 27-page, single-spaced memo from Kissinger to the President — the subject lines reads, “My Talks with Chou-En-lai,” and in all caps, the words “Top Secret/Sensitive/Exclusively eyes only” can be found across the top. It opens with a flourish, “My two-day visit to Peking resulted in the most searching, sweeping and significant discussions I have ever had in government.” It ends even worse, in words that will haunt us for decades to come:

These forty-eight hours, and my extensive discussions with Chou in particular, had all the flavor, texture, variety and delicacy of a Chinese banquet. Prepared from the long sweep of tradition and culture, meticulously cooked by hands of experience, and served in splendidly simple surroundings, our feast consisted of many courses, some sweet and some sour, all interrelated and forming a coherent whole…. We have laid the groundwork for you and Mao to turn a page in history.

Eight months later Nixon is in China, stunning the world as predicted.

Tell the “miracle” story to the Uyghurs. Tell it to Hong Kong, reduced under Chinese rule to a wasteland where once stood one of the most dynamic, freest, prosperous, and pioneering cities on this earth. Tell that to the Chinese entrepreneurs now castigated, imprisoned, and whose wealth plummeted by $35 billion in response to Xi’s speech alone, compounding years of ruinous loss and unrelenting Communist government attack. Tell that to U.S. investors in Chinese companies who have seen the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index, 65 U.S. traded stocks with majority business in China, fall 78% since February 2021. Tell that to the Taiwanese who live in the shadow of Chinese invasion and worse.  For that matter, tell that to the 1.5 billion Chinese citizens, locked down in Covid, suffering the lash of Xi’s dictatorship, at the hands of 97 million Chinese communist party members.

Nixon’s big bet, schemed and delivered by Kissinger, who later in life fatuously described himself to political journalist Oriana Fallaci as the “cowboy who leads the wagon train by riding ahead alone on his horse,” was a China opening leading to economic integration with the West and a moderation in Communist ideology. Xi’s speech is the latest confirmation of the strategy’s grand fail. For five decades, China has benefitted from our stolen intellectual property and military secrets.  Now, mission accomplished, Xi has set autonomy from the West as China’s goal, “in food, energy, and resources as well as key industrial and supply chains.”

As termed by economists, in the choice between guns and butter, China has chosen guns, encapsulated in Xi’s promise to deliver his world-class military by mid-century, while the U.S. has gorged on butter, leading to the alarming assessment this month that America’s military capability is “weak.” Chinese financial markets have correctly assessed the sacrifice of economic growth to militaristic strength, far ahead of policy makers.

The collapse in the Hang Seng and twenty-five years of stagnation tells all that needs to be known about Communist rule, its priorities, and its ruinous economic choices.

Do Dems Love The Fascist State They Create To Hate?

Ron Johnson’s Senate Opponent In Wisconsin Has Repeatedly Expressed Hatred For America

BY: JORDAN BOYD at the Federalist:

Ron Johnson and Mandela Barnes

Democrat Mandela Barnes boasts that he’s challenging Republican Sen. Ron Johnson for a chance to “fix” everything that ails the nation, but Barnes’ desire to revamp the U.S. doesn’t come from his love for America the beautiful. Instead, it’s a product of his disgust for the nation he calls home.

The lieutenant governor of Wisconsin has quite a history of extremist tweets and a penchant for faking endorsements, but it’s the Democrat’s hatred for the greatest country on Earth that really shows just how radical he is. For years Barnes has made disparaging comments about both modern America and its founding.

In 2021, while campaigning for a chance to join Congress, Barnes told constituents that our country’s birth was “bad” and “terrible.”

“The founding of this nation? Awful,” Barnes said during a question-and-answer session. “We are here now, and we should commit ourselves to doing everything we can do to repair the harm, because it still exists today — the harm, the damage. Whether it was colonization, or whether it was slavery. The impacts are felt today; they’re going to continue to be felt unless we address it in a meaningful way.”

Barnes acknowledges that the United States “is the most wealthy, is the most powerful nation on Earth,” but says that’s only “because of forced labor on stolen land.”

“We have to teach the reality of why we are where we are, or else people will just assume it just happened this way because of hard work, because of pulling up by your bootstraps,” Barnes said during a Facebook live discussion hosted by leftist group Citizen Action of Wisconsin.

In 2020, Barnes tried to convince an audience at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater that “we are still waiting for our moment for America to be great.”

“We still don’t comprehend that kind of campaign slogan because it’s meaningless to us as a community, it’s meaningless to us as a race,” Barnes said, referring to Donald Trump’s rally cry to “Make America Great Again.”

That same year, Barnes repeatedly accused America of being an irredeemably racist nation that can only be remedied by annihilation and then rebuilding.

“We know that we can’t remedy the white supremacy and the systemic racism that is built into all of our systems in just a couple of years or with any package of legislation,” Barnes said during a speech lamenting the shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man in Wisconsin who resisted arrest, appeared to be armed with a knife, and began to enter a vehicle where children were in the back seat and the weapon was later recovered.

If Barnes loved America, he wouldn’t have spent years justifying the billions of dollars in destruction that plagued the nation’s cities following the death of George Floyd. If Barnes loved the U.S., he wouldn’t have made regular appearances on Russia’s primary propaganda channel, used to “manipulate and weaken adversaries,” in 2015 and 2016 just to badmouth his own nation’s law enforcement officers. If Barnes loved this country, he certainly wouldn’t advocate for federal decisions that are driven by “equity and sustainability,” synonyms for the radical left’s erasure of the principles the Founding Fathers built this nation upon.

Barnes has repeatedly made his hatred for America clear. If he is elected, Barnes will maximize his senatorial authority to rip apart the principles, policies, and people that truly make this country great. He says so himself.

MSNBC guest: Republicans are fascists for wanting to improve economy, tame inflation

By Eric Utter at American Thinker:

There is “crazy,” and there is “bat-s— crazy.”  And then there is “off-the-charts, beyond delusional, holy-bleeping-cow insanity.”  The last was recently on display when MSNBC host Joy Reid and guest Matthew Dowd spoke about Republicans and the economy.

First, Reid accused Donald Trump of “fascism in the open” for saying he may challenge the 2022 midterm elections, starting in Philadelphia.  (Why would he do that?  The Democrats, though they rabidly challenged the results of the 2000, 2004, and 2016 elections, claimed that the 2008 and 2012 elections were spot on, and that the 2020 election was the single most secure and uncorrupted in all of recorded history.  It is, of course, utterly immaterial — mere coincidence — that they lost in 2000, 2004, and 2016, and won in 2008, 2012, and allegedly 2020.)

And then Dowd cut in to say: “I’m not calling, I’m not going to say that the GOP are Nazis at this point, or whatever, but it certainly sounds very familiar to what happened in Germany, which is a bunch of citizens, Adolf Hitler gets a third of the vote, nobody thought it could happen there, they kinda went along because he said he would solve the economy and fix inflation.”  He added, “And then, lo and behold, a few years later they lost their democracy and they’re all like ‘how’d that happen here?'”

That’s right: you let somebody try to improve the economy and lower inflation, and — POOF! — next thing you know,  the Jews have all been rounded up, and you’re saying, “Heil Hitler” to everyone you meet.  You’ll recall how that is exactly what occurred when Ronald Reagan succeeded Jimmy Carter.  The inflation rate was 13.91% in 1980, the year Reagan was first elected, and a mere 1.46% by 1987 near the end of his presidency.  Sure, this rescued countless millions of people from economic privation, but was it really worth it, considering the fact that opposition parties were banned; martial law was declared; and millions of gays, Semites, and non-whites were captured and placed in concentration camps, many to be gassed or otherwise put to death?

If comparing Republicans to Nazis for wanting to improve the economy and tame inflation isn’t “hate speech” and “fake news,” nothing is.  And it is every kind of crazy.  Ironically, because conservatives don’t believe in impinging on free speech — or treating political opponents as a fascist would — no conservative is calling for the investigation, prosecution, or arrest of either Reid or Dowd.

If Reid and Dowd weren’t so blindly and inanely partisan, they would recognize and admit as much.

The Biden administration comes up with a sneaky new amnesty plan

By Monica Showalter at American Thinker:

The Biden administration has come up with a stealthy new tack for granting amnesty to the two million illegal aliens who’ve crossed into the states in the last two years: By “forgetting” to file the paperwork on time.

According to Fox News:

Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants had their cases thrown out by immigration judges after documents were not filed in time by Department of Homeland Security officials, according to newly released data.

Data obtained and analyzed by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University, found that 63,586 cases were dismissed in FY 2022 as of the end of September because officials, mainly Border Patrol agents, are not filing the Notice to Appear (NTA) in time.

That may not seem like much of anything on the surface, but for illegal immigrants, that’s winning the jackpot.

According to Fox, it begins like this:

TRAC, which obtained the numbers via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, found that numbers spiked from less than 1,000 incidents of no NTAs being filed in February and March 2021 to more than 5,000 a month in late 2021 and 2022. In April 2022, more than 7,000 cases were thrown out.

Now it’s 63,586 cases, as the earlier part of the Fox report, cited above, indicated. What a coincidence. Suddenly, the paperwork is not being filed on time. Suddenly, someone who used to do his job right is … not doing his job right. Suddenly, someone … forgot. Don’t tell us that’s not some kind of amnesty-through-incompetence passive-aggressive policy. It’s just amazing how Biden’s policy always seems to go one way — benefitting the illegally present foreigner.

Fox continues into how it gets good for the illegal aliens:

The research center says that the amount of cases being thrown out is not only wasteful of the court’s time, but also problematic for the immigrants involved — who may turn up for a court date only to have the case dismissed, and be left in limbo as to their status and what to do next.

With no court case against them, they are free to move about the country, and more specifically, file for green cards and U.S. citizenship. The absence of any court case to resolve regarding their immigration status leaves them free to apply, and with Joe Biden’s yes-men at the ready, free to get those green cards.

The precedent for that was from an incident earlier this year, similar, but not the same, to this curious approach to what is effectively amnesty.

Back in June, the Washington Examiner reported that federal prosecutors were simply dropping a million cases for no reason whatsoever:

Federal prosecutors are quietly dismissing stacks of cases against illegal immigrants [sic] under a Biden administration mandate that could be on pace to effectively pardon 1 million people by 2024, according to leaked information reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

Attorneys for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have begun to throw out tens of thousands of the 2 million backlogged cases in immigration court following a political appointee’s order not to go after illegal border crossers from before the November 2020 election.

“This is a de facto amnesty,” said an ICE federal prosecutor who spoke with the Washington Examiner on the condition of anonymity.

The impact? According to the Examiner:

The tens of thousands of noncitizens who have been cleared from the immigration court dockets over the past eight weeks may now apply to become permanent legal residents, the prerequisite to becoming a U.S. citizen. An illegal border crosser is barred from applying for legal permanent residency as long as his or her case is pending in court. With no case pending, they may apply. Once approved, they may apply for adjustment of status to citizenship after five years.

“All those removable aliens will be able to live and work in the United States indefinitely — which, in this context, means forever or at least until they themselves decide to leave. That is the definition of an amnesty,” Arthur wrote.

The illegals whose fed minders are “forgetting” to file the paperwork may get a new date, as the Fox report notes, but the report suggested that that was discretionary. More likely, they won’t get a new date, and the dockets will clear for them to remain in the country without any lawmen looking for them as they vote, collect welfare, clog emergency rooms, and take American jobs, while being free to apply for green cards and U.S. citizenship well ahead of all the legal applicants for entry to the U.S. who are doing it the right way.

The news of this “forgetfulness” on the part of the Biden administration officials is bound to filter back to the human smuggling rackets, who use this kind of news to recruit migrant caravans on social media and among would-be illegal migrants themselves, who follow this kind of news from the U.S. closely.

Already, the numbers of illegal aliens rolling in is hitting record highs.

Here are the human waves in Colombia who are heading to the states, just from Venezuela alone, their human traffickers at the sidelines, herding them like sheep. Many of the migrants in these rivers of humanity are Venezuelans who had already fled to other Latin American countries in years past and are now responding to the U.S.’s open door:

The tweet says it’s 90,000 migrants a month making that passage, and Colombia is calling it a grave crisis. Venezuela is just one country. Migrants are rolling in from more than 100 countries, according to Border Patrol data.

Now they’re “forgetting” to file paperwork, and migrants are finding it easier than ever to gain free admission to the U.S. whether the locals want it or not. Other than inflation, is there any greater Biden failure?

Donald Trump has given one of his coveted endorsements to the Republican candidate for Minnesota secretary of state.

In a Tuesday morning post to Truth Social, Trump’s social media platform, the former president endorsed Kim Crockett as she looks to unseat current Secretary of State Steve Simon, a Democrat.

Trump called Crockett a “strong and wonderful woman” and said she has his “complete and total endorsement.”

“A strong and wonderful woman named Kim Crockett is running, as the Republican Nominee, for Secretary of State in Minnesota, a State where Election Fraud is rampant, but where nothing is done about it or, more importantly, to FIX IT,” Trump said.

“Kim will get to the bottom of that, and so much else. It’s time we had a smart and dedicated fighter in that very important position. Kim Crockett has my Complete & Total Endorsement. She will not let you down!!!” he added.

Crockett, who announced her secretary of state candidacy last December, is running on an election integrity platform. She has also vowed to simplify the registration process for new businesses.

In a Tuesday statement, Crockett said she was “surprised” to hear of Trump’s endorsement.

“I appreciate this unexpected vote of confidence,” she said. “The most important endorsement will be Minnesota voters who choose me to be their new Secretary of State. I promise the office will be a non-partisan operation that guards every eligible vote, no matter one’s party affiliation.”

Secretary of State Simon has come under scrutiny recently as multiple counties in Minnesota have accidentally issued erroneous ballots to thousands of voters.

“He runs around the state doing photo-ops posing as a ‘defender of democracy,’ but on Simon’s watch, voters can’t even get the right ballots after voting has been open for weeks,” said Nick Majerus, Republican Party of Minnesota communications director, in a statement last week. “How many more Minnesota voters need to get the wrong ballots before Steve Simon steps up to do his job?”

Trump hasn’t weighed in on any of the other statewide races.
