How Does Our Loony Biden Respond To Anything BEYOND COLLECTING MONEY?

REPORT: Putin Wants to Buy U.S. Weapons Biden Left in Afghanistan — But There’s Even More

BY STEPHEN GREEN 9:42 AM ON JANUARY 25, 2023 AT PJMEDIA:

REPORT: Putin Wants to Buy U.S. Weapons Biden Left in Afghanistan — But There's Even More
Yuri Kochetkov/Pool Photo via AP

Billions of dollars worth of U.S. weapons are on the negotiating table between Russian strongman Vladimir Putin and Afghanistan’s Taliban government, according to at least one insider.

Presidentish Joe Biden’s bungled bugout from Afghanistan resulted in a windfall for the new radical Islamic government, including artillery, attack helicopters, and thousands of HUMVEES, machine guns, radios — all left behind as our orderly withdrawal degenerated into a rout.

The Department of Defense estimates the total value of the gear Biden left behind at a whopping $7.12 billion, and now Putin is reportedly offering to buy whatever he and the battered Russian Army need.

According to The Sun, a report on Telelgram (a social media platform popular with Russian milbloggers) claims:

Putin is overseeing negotiations with the Taliban to recognise the Taliban government. In return, the Russian leadership is offering a major arms and military equipment swap,” General SVR channel wrote.

“Putin reported that the Taliban possess weapons and equipment including those seized after coming to power in Afghanistan, that are scarce for the Russian Army at the front,” it further stated.

The Russian Ministry of Defense hasn’t commented on the rumor.

If I’m reading this correctly, this would be more of a weapons swap than a cash deal. The Taliban would give up its Western gear in exchange for diplomatic recognition and Russian weapons. Undoubtedly, ammo, spares, and replacements for Russian equipment would be easier for the Taliban to get hold of than for the Western stuff they have now.

Exactly how much effective use the Russian Army would get out of Biden’s haul is debatable. They’d face the same problem the Taliban has: Lack of spares and proper ammo.

Still, given Russia’s massive losses — including up to 3,000 frontline and reserve main battle tanks — every little bit probably helps.

If the deal goes through, there’s the added bonus of a diplomatic coup against the Biden Administration’s ineptitude — not to mention the further embarrassment of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians being killed by American weapons.

The headline to my story promised more, and here it is:

U.S. Southern Command chief General Laura Richardson told the Atlantic Council this week that the Biden Administration has offered Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua — all trouble spots for us — and six other Latin American nations used U.S. military equipment if they’d send their old Russian and Soviet gear to Ukraine.

This report stands on much firmer ground than the rumor about Putin and the Taliban, having been confirmed by Gen. Richardson herself.

Meanwhile, the U.S., Germany, Poland, and the U.K. are in the process of sending modern main battle tanks like the M1 Abrams, Leopard II, and Challenger 2 to Ukraine.

There’s a deeper realignment going on here, and both these stories are indicative of it.

Communist China’s rise and Russia’s reckless invasion of Ukraine — and the West’s response to both — have effectively blunted globalization. The world is bifurcating once more, with China and Russia on one side, and NATO plus the westernized Pacific Rim nations (Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand) on the other. The rest of the world will be pressured to take sides in Cold War II.

Assuming Ukraine survives Putin’s invasion, they will adopt Western gear whether or not they join NATO. Now that the West is their supplier, it makes little sense for Kyiv to stick with weapons designed and built by their sworn enemy.

Weaning anti-American countries like Cuba and Venezuela off Russian weapons makes a callous kind of sense, as part of an (ill-fated?) effort to realign them westward.

Both sides made a lot of stupid and/or self-defeating plays during the Cold War, and Cold War II is lining up to be just as messy.

Parsing an Ungrateful Generation

By Allan J. Feifer at American Thinker:

You can already tell by our title the direction this piece is going.

But it’s much more than just a bunch of selfish crybabies.  Today’s story is about a fundamental shift in how the country thinks and acts, whereby we have lost another critical piece of what made us unique.

Let’s step back for a moment, and I’ll share a story highlighting the problem as I see it.

I live in a small rural county run by a five-person Board of Commissioners. Virtually every decision of consequence is made in a consensus-focused manner.  During one of the recent department reports, commissioners were advised that some employees had been put on standby status in case a quick response was required to a recent cold snap. The department head acknowledged that employees would be paid if they were called to work.

But a dispute followed over whether employees should be paid for “standing by” in case of need, whether ultimately activated or not.

I argued that the essential nature of public service employment is that they might be inconvenienced from time to time, but such emergency call-ups were or should be part of their job description.

A decision was not reached, but it made me think.

I’ve employed individuals continuously for nearly fifty years. During that time, I’ve seen a change from gratitude for employment to an attitude that turns the relationship on its head.

Today, employers bend over backward to accommodate the needs and seemingly arbitrary desires of hires to a degree that would have been unthinkable in years past.

A recent Fox and Friends program featured employees quitting their job without notice and even going so far as to place their joyful resignations on TikTok!

It seems there is a not-so-subtle disdain for employers in general, and it’s cool and hip to “shove it to the man,” so to speak.  Of course, not all employees behave in such a manner, but too many no longer feel loyal to their employers.  Indeed, a lack of gratefulness or partnership is much more common than I can remember in my lifetime.

The situation with my county commission and TikTok antics highlight an absence of gratitude.

Our historical work ethic is now associated with White Privilege.  The White Privilege war has become the go-to weapon the Left has embraced to destroy traditional American society and families.  Those people whom I term the ‘Destroyers’ accuse the government of being predicated on a virtually unchallenged assumption that America was formed, run, and exists for the benefit of white people in general and privileged whites in particular.

Quitting your job without giving the standard two-week notice (or more if you are in a critical position) is considered by molly-coddled younger workers to be nothing more than leveling the playing field. The prevailing thinking seems to state that companies are exploiting their workers through the very requirement to show up for work.  Many of those young believe they have better things to do than punch a clock or make money for someone other than themselves and detest the inconvenience of having to work for money.  To them, this is literal proof of White Supremacy.

How did this come to pass?  Growing up in the ’60s and early ’70s, I was anxious to work.  I wanted to build businesses and create opportunities.  I wanted to hire people smarter than me, not to exploit them, but to create wealth and prosperity for all of us.  And I did.  I speak to many entrepreneurs who still believe in that pathway.  Still, large companies, government workers, and many non-profit employees have been inculcated into an anti-free market culture and subsequent entitlement and victimhood.

Fortunately, many good old-fashioned workers and employers still think and act as I do.  However, the contaminated individuals who believe the Left’s tripe can and are pulling the rest of us down.

Here’s an analogy to explain how this will inevitably come to pass:

Remember the Titanic?  She would not have sunk except for one flaw; its watertight bulkheads were not sealed at the top.  So, as the water rose in one compartment, it spilled over to the next compartment and then the next until it was inevitable that the Titanic would founder and sink.  I believe it is now that way with our country.  Attitudes toward work, family, savings, debt, and entitlement are like flooded compartments, ultimately sinking our ship.

In addition, millions of illegal aliens are like surging water overtopping the nation’s bulkheads, leading to the ship of state sinking rapidly to the bottom.

But unlike the Titanic, we have a little time to find a solution before it is too late.  We could right the ship if we tried hard.  The question is, will we?  On one side, we have the people, institutions, companies, and others intent on reinventing the U.S. into something foreign and unworkable.  On the other side, we have the silent majority.  President Nixon popularized that term in 1969.  Why don’t people speak out in defense of their self-interests?  The fact that so many are silent is telling.  Many of the remaining producers remain modest and frugal, keeping to themselves, be that church, social circles, or even immediate family.  That silent majority is quite the opposite of those individuals shouting their opinions loudly and often to any target they think is a threat to their view of how the world should be as far as they are concerned.

In my life, each day, I pray to do something “decent and right” that will help someone that day.  In an imperfect world, it is up to the individual, not the government, to make this world better than how we found it.  Government interferes with our duty and obligation by trying to be something that it can never be…Daddy.

Distortion of reality of all kinds, exhibited by millions, is a condition I will call ‘Woke Brain.  It is observable within those mentally weak or adrift from reality who are disengaged from traditional life requirements that have defined us since our inception.

Wrongheaded thinking derived from decades of brainwashing has left us where we are today.  Can you believe that 18% of those under 34 don’t believe we landed on the Moon?  Think about that!  This statistic encapsulates everything you need to know to understand what’s wrong with our society.  Those naysayers don’t believe we went to the Moon because they can’t imagine they/we could do it again today based on their observations of lazy society, waning intelligence, and the drive among their friends.  Add to that a deep distrust of anything and everything that constitutes our collective history and culture.

Their starting point was 1619 when slaves were first brought to America, which the New York Times now says defines us as a predator nation to this day.

Millions of our young live with a profound distrust for America, its systems, fairness, and perhaps, even a question of how long the America of their parents and grandparents will continue to exist. These issues constitute the root cause of our current predicament and where we must collectively make our stand.

God Bless America!

Why Are Minnesotans SO RETARDED WITH DEMS?

JANUARY 25, 2023 BY SCOTT JOHNSON IN ABORTION AND INFANTICIDEDEMOCRATSMINNESOTA

LET’S GO CRAZY, ABORTION EDITION

John C. “Chuck” Chalberg is an old friend and historian who spent his career teaching at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota. In an op-ed column published in today’s Star Tribune, Chuck documents the abortion edition of the Minnesota DFL’s “let’s go crazy” campaign now that Democrats control the political branches of our state government. At my request Chuck has kindly forwarded the original version of his column and granted permission to post it on Power Line. Chuck relates that he wrote the column this past weekend after reading the bill — HF1 — that is being whisked through the legislature at something like the speed of light. Chuck writes:

Remember those abortion ads that the DFL ran during last fall’s campaign? It wasn’t all that long ago, so they should still be fairly fresh in most everyone’s mind. Besides, the party didn’t just run a few ads here and there. They flooded our television screens with them.

It was almost as though nothing else mattered. Oh, yes, now that I think about it, the DFL was also going to “fully fund public education,” whatever that meant.

But when it came to abortion the meaning was quite clear. For that matter, the DFL was completely candid, maybe even transparent, although that’s often the go-to word when a politician or political party has something to hide.

Not so, though, with those abortion ads. The DFL hid nothing. There they were, front and center. At the risk of being accused of dredging up the recent past or stirring the pot of old news, let me recall a few such ads. And why not? Here we can see American democracy in action. After all, we do want to preserve—and celebrate—our democracy, don’t we?

Besides, they worked, didn’t they? The cause and effect couldn’t be more obvious. Given the frequency of those ads, it’s pretty darn clear that the DFL ran as the party that, above all, would preserve abortion rights in Minnesota, and they won. The ads worked. Democracy worked. And that is pretty much that.

So now let’s put a few of them under the microscope. Remember the ad that told us that the DFL would assure that every “individual” had a “fundamental right” to an abortion. Short and sweet, to the point, as well as honest and apparently quite effective.

But since we now live in the age of feelings, the DFL couldn’t resist tugging at our heart strings in a few of their ads. Recall that ad with the teenage girl. She was pregnant, but she didn’t want to tell her parents. But no matter. The DFL would always be on hand to protect both her privacy and her fundamental right to have an abortion, no questions asked, and no secrets revealed.

Then there was the ad that featured a married couple. They had decided that a late-term abortion was vitally necessary. We aren’t told why, but the couple couldn’t possibly have been more appealing. They were thoughtful and serious. Something terrible must have gone wrong. But then something went terribly wrong with the abortion. The baby survived. What next? We aren’t told. But the assumption is clear. With the DFL in charge, the matter, oops the baby, could be quietly disposed of.

Of course, there was a parallel ad that reminded voters that abortion already is legal in Minnesota well beyond the first trimester. And keeping DFLers in power will keep that firmly in place.

There was even that painfully honest ad in which an earnest young man thanks the DFL for keeping sexual freedom alive and well in our state.

Attempting to cover as many bases as possible, the DFL also ran ads concerning those inconvenient details, such as waiting periods prior to an abortion, or required ultra sounds or mandatory counseling sessions. Things like that were, well, inconvenient, so they could also be readily dispensed with.

And just for good measure that comprehensive DFL ad campaign included what amounted to a public service announcement, which made it clear that a DFL-controlled legislature would outlaw any local governmental authority from ever taking any action that would limit or otherwise interfere with one’s fundamental right to “reproductive health care”—or non-reproductive care, as the case might be.

There you have it. It was quite an ad campaign—and quite successful to boot. Wait a minute! Perhaps my memory isn’t quite what it used to be. I must apologize. You see, I’ve been reading the provisions of the bill on “reproductive freedom” that is currently under consideration in our DFL-controlled legislature. Perhaps I’ve gotten things mixed up. Or maybe I’m misremembering or just plain dreaming.

The bill itself is very brief, so brief in fact that there’s nothing in it that would place any limitation at all on an “individual’s” right to obtain an abortion right up to the moment of birth—and perhaps even beyond. It’s all very, very, what’s the word that I’m looking for . . . extreme, yes, that’s it, it’s all very extreme. And apparently that’s perfectly fine with the entire DFL caucus.

Ah yes, it’s all coming back to me now. By that I mean what’s finally jogging my memory is the connection between that word and the actual DFL ads that kept interrupting football games last fall. Those DFL ads were all about Republican extremism, weren’t they? And why not? It can often be an effective tactic to call voters’ attention to extremism—especially when voters respond by casting ballots that will keep extremists far away from ever holding office and acquiring power.

There’s just one problem though. Those DFL ads about extremism and extremists never got around to telling us who the really extreme extremists were—and are.

“The FBI and the Department of Justice have undertaken a review.”

JANUARY 25, 2023 BY SCOTT JOHNSON at Power Line:

MS. FOUND IN PENCE’S HOME

As President Biden has thrown a lifeline to President Trump in the matter of possession of classified documents, former Vice President Mike Pence has thrown a lifeline to Biden. Lawyers representing Pence discovered “a small number of documents bearing classified markings that were inadvertently boxed and transported” to Pence’s new home in Carmel, Indiana. CNN reports on the discovery here, the AP here, the Wall Street Journal here.

Pence attorney Greg Jacob notified the National Archives of the discovery by letter dated January 18. Jacob wrote that Pence had retained counsel on January 16 to review records stored in his home. Jacob advised:

Counsel identified a small number of documents that could potentially contain sensitive or classified information interspersed throughout the records. Vice President Pence’s counsel, however, is unable to provide an exact description of the folders or briefing materials that may contain sensitive or classified information because counsel did not review the contents of the documents once an indicator of potential classification was identified. Vice President Pence immediately secured those documents in a locked safe pending further direction on proper handling from the National Archives.

Jacob added: “Vice President Pence was unaware of the existence of sensitive or classified documents at his personal residence,” Jacob wrote. Yesterday Pence provided notice to congressional leaders and relevant committees.

By letter to the National Archives dated January 19 Jacob updated the story. Jacob noted that “FBI agents came to the Indiana residence of Vice President Pence at 9:30 p.m. to collect the documents that had been secured in his safe.” Jacob added that he would personally “deliver the [four] boxes [of Vice Presidential Records retained by Pence] to the Archives between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23.”

We don’t know the nature of the documents or their sensitivity. The FBI and the Department of Justice have undertaken a review.

I can report that President Biden sees Pence in a whole new light. He is grateful for Pence’s service. He now thinks that Pence may be instrumental to saving “our democracy.”

“Four border crossers, bused from Texas to New York City, were arrested this month after allegedly stealing nearly $12,500 worth of merchandise from a Macy’s department store.”

January 24, 2023

It begins: Joe Biden’s border surge imports a big new crime wave

By Monica Showalter at American Thinker:

So Donald Trump, who once was excoriated for saying Mexico is “not sending their best,” on the illegal alien front, was right again after all.

Here’s the local talent coming in to New York from the migrant buses out of Texas, according to John Binder at Breitbart News:

Four border crossers, bused from Texas to New York City, were arrested this month after allegedly stealing nearly $12,500 worth of merchandise from a Macy’s department store.

On Monday, the Nassau County Police Department in Long Island, New York announced the arrests of 19-year-old Wrallan Cabezas Meza, 30-year-old Jose Garcia Escobar, 21-year-old Miguel Angel Rojas, and 27-year-old Rafael Rojas for allegedly shoplifting at Macy’s.

All of the men are newly arrived border crossers who were bused from Texas to New York City as part of Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) plan to send migrant buses to sanctuary jurisdictions.

In total, nearly $12,500 worth of merchandise was recovered from the four border crossers. Escobar and Rafael Rojas were subsequently released from jail without bail. It is unclear if Meza and Angel Rojas remain in jail on bail.

According to the New York Post, Meza crossed the United States-Mexico border on July 4, 2022 while the others arrived at the border months later in September. All were put on buses by the state of Texas and relocated to New York City.

Angel Rojas and Rafael Rojas, the Post reports, have been living rent-free at the Westin Hotel in Manhattan.

Which pretty well tells us where this migrant surge is going.

Their big second chance in America brought on by Joe Biden’s open borders, with free housing, food, medical care and legal services on prime land in New York City, plus free transport to it from Texas, and their first move was to go smash-and-grab a Macys department store, for a five-figure payout, which they likely would have gotten away with were it not for the fourth-world driving habits of the gang’s getaway driver, which led to the fateful traffic stop on Long Island.

This tells us a lot about what kind of people are rolling in, unvetted and fully enabled, in Joe Biden’s open-border surge.

One of the reports cited named South America as the place of origin of the thugs, where they toiled as gang members. South America has got a lot of those, and apparently many have taken advantage of the border surge. It would make sense that they did, given that they can’t get into the states in a legal way. An open border to them is an absolute siren song, given the pickings available once in, plus all the free stuff. Imagine the scornful laughter at such luck in those circles.

It’s also noteworthy that they got in as processed immigrants, they weren’t “getaways.” They came into the states illegally, waited in line for the Border Patrol to pick them up at a crossing and then got processed, said the magic word “asylum” to get entry, just as the BGOs told them, andonce in,  proceeded with the robbery business as usual.

You can bet these thugs aren’t the only ones committing crimes against Americans now that Joe has let them in, and there will be more of them.

According to this July 2022 report from Fox News:

The number of crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the United States surged in fiscal year 2021 after declining in the years before that.

Homicides, assaults, incidents of domestic violence, illegal weapons possession, and sexual offenses committed by illegal aliens all increased dramatically in fiscal year 2021 compared to fiscal year 2020, data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection shows.

Illegal immigrants committed 1,178 assault and domestic violence crimes in 2021, which represents a more than 400% increase from the 208 in 2020.

Sixty homicide or manslaughter convictions were attributed to illegal immigrants in 2021, a 1,900% increase from the previous year.

It’s as if the domestic crime wave brought on by leftist district attorneys isn’t enough for Joe Biden; he’s determined to import more crime to the states from Latin America, which sports the most impressive thugs in the hemisphere.

According to the New York Post, there are a lot of them, and they are arriving now in record highs:

Federal officials tallied more than a quarter-million migrant encounters at the US-Mexico border last month — the highest monthly total ever recorded, according to a quiet Friday-night data dump from US Customs and Border Protection.

The 251,487 illegal-entry encounters at the southern border in December surpassed the 179,253 in December 2021 and the 73,994 in December 2020, according to CBP figures.

The number was even greater than the peak in 2022’s historic year, when migrant encounters hit 241,136 in May, at the start of the typically busier summer months.

Sure, leftists will argue that they aren’t all criminals. But that doesn’t explain the kind of crime that’s starting to roll in as a result of this Biden migrant wave. A thug is naturally going to be drawn to an open border in a way a law-abiding person abroad would be hesitant to be. The denials about migrant crime, which we are bound to hear more of also doesn’t address the fact that even if an illegal migrant is not a career criminal, he would have to have associates who were in order to pay the crossing fees to the cartel gangs who control the border crossings. Do you know any people of that caliber? Normal people don’t, but the criminal class, which thrives with a certain class of largely lawless people, does. What’s more, the reports of migrant behavior at the free hotels, which includes drinking, fighting, wasting food, turning tricks and having sex in public pretty well suggests that the criminal element has moved in.

Now the migrant surge is on, and so is Joe’s imported crime surge. Joe Biden can pat himself on the back for this one, because his take-all-comers open border policy is pretty well going to victimize everyone now. Criminals are naturally attracted to open borders and on Long Island, we are getting the first whiffs of them.

“Democrat’s actions posed a threat to U.S. national security.”

Biden Was A National Security Threat Long Before His Classified Docs Fiasco

BY: JORDAN BOYD at the Federalist:

POTUS walks away from Marine One

Don’t be fooled into thinking this is the first time Biden has sacrificed U.S. national security to protect his personal interests.

JORDAN BOYD

Long before classified and potentially compromising documents were discovered in President Joe Biden’s “think tank” office and Wilmington home and garage, the Democrat’s actions posed a threat to U.S. national security.

The discovery of even more top secret documents dating back to Biden’s time as vice president and senator sparked widespread concerns that the current president hid material that put U.S. national security at risk, potentially for decades.

Republicans worried — and even partisan hacks such as Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff conceded — that Biden’s harboring of classified documents in high-traffic, unsecured areas could have put Americans or the U.S. government at risk.

“Is it possible that national security was jeopardized here as many, including you, raised that possibility with the Mar-a-Lago documents?” ABC’s “This Week” co-anchor Jonathan Karl asked.

“I don’t think we can exclude the possibility without knowing more of the facts,” the disgraced former chair of the House Intelligence Committee replied.

It seems logical to investigate Biden’s recent scandal to ensure he didn’t compromise any sensitive material. But the truth is, he opened up the U.S. to a myriad of national security crises, abuses, and disasters long before news broke of his document scandal.

Since taking office, Biden, who is charged with ensuring the national security of the U.S., has put Americans and their security at risk countless times.

By openly pursuing a policy of escalation in the U.S.-funded proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, Biden and his administration have significantly increased the threat of nuclear war. A conflict that only ends on Ukraine’s terms and might result in a radioactive third world war compromises Americans’ safety and tax dollars.

It also leaves countries like Taiwan vulnerable to communist China’s hegemonic operations. While China stockpiled hundreds of nuclear warheads and prepared to expand its influence, Biden was further emboldening his country’s No. 1 foreign threat. First, he did business with the Chinese gas giant with ties to his son. Then Biden pushed the Saudis into an amicable relationship with the Eastern communist government.

Speaking of the Middle East, it was Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal that sent tens of thousands of Afghan refugees into U.S. cities without proper screening, vetting, and inspection. This lapse in security resulted in two known security risks and dozens more evacuees tainted by “derogatory information” entering the country unmonitored.

Domestically, Biden and the same agency that failed to vet Afghan refugees jeopardized U.S. national security by escorting in the worst illegal immigration influx in recorded U.S. history and then doing nothing to fix it. Under Biden’s watch, more than 100 potential terrorists and hundreds more criminals crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.

Even dating back to his time as vice president, Biden sacrificed national security for profit by keeping his son Hunter Biden close. Hunter didn’t just exchange access to his father for cash to fund the family’s lavish lifestyle, he was paid by oligarchs and businessmen in countries that have a vested interest in meddling with U.S. affairs.

That’s likely why the inexperienced Hunter was handed a lucrative position at a prominent Ukrainian energy company at the same time his father took the lead on Ukraine policy for the Obama administration.

At one point, Biden used a non-government email to share official White House business with Hunter, a civilian who shouldn’t have had access to sensitive material. Republican senators’ attempts to investigate the emails and the role they may have played in enriching the Biden family business were ignored.

Biden’s willingness to share delicate information with his son, whose own documents stored on an abandoned laptop likely pose a serious threat to the national security of the United States, is more than problematic. Combine that with Biden’s knowledge of and involvement in Hunter’s business with foreign oligarchs, and you have a long list of foreign entanglements and finances that could severely hamper the elder Biden’s ability to put American interests first.

If early reports are correct in noting that some of the recovered Biden documents included “US intelligence memos and briefing materials that covered topics including Ukraine, Iran and the United Kingdom,” Biden’s information cache does warrant investigation and transparency. But don’t be fooled into thinking this is the first time Biden has sacrificed U.S. national security to protect his personal interests, preserve the Biden family business, and advance his radical agenda.

COVID Vaxes – It’s Not ‘The More the Merrier’

By Brian C. Joondeph, M.D. at American Thinker:

The expression, “If some is good, more must be better” might apply to chocolate, vacations, and American Thinker articles, but not to everything in life. I speak of COVID vaccines, a hot topic in personal discussions and on social media.

The corporate media and government, including most world health authorities follow a similar quote, attributed to May West, ““If a little is great, and a lot is better, then way too much is just about right!” Is that so? Are an endless series of mRNA “vaccines” really in the best interests of virtually all Americans for whom they are recommended?

I know many individuals who have been fully vaccinated against COVID, and had three additional boosters, including the newest bivalent vaccine, who have come down with COVID. Not hospital or ICU COVID as we saw three years ago, but bad flu-like COVID, the type that lands one in bed for several days.

This is not surprising as viruses mutate to be more contagious and less lethal, independent of vaccines, making the vaccines less important than this natural mutation course. But are they making things worse?

The CDC subscribes to “the more the merrier” approach. From their website, updated a few weeks ago the, “Updated (bivalent) Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine also became available on December 9, 2022 for children aged 6 months–4 years to complete the primary series.”

How at risk are children? CDC data shows fewer than 650 children ages 0-4 years have died of COVID. How many had medical comorbidities such as immunodeficiencies or malignancies versus otherwise healthy children? How many died “with” rather than “from” COVID, testing positive for COVID incidentally while they died of an unrelated cause?

Medical authorities know the difference between “with” and “from”, right? Perhaps not. In Colorado, the deaths of a murder-suicide couple were included in the state’s COVID death numbers, “because the two tested positive for COVID-19 within 30 days before their death.” How’s that for good science?

Are more vaccine dosages of net benefit or harm? Is there any thoughtful discussion among physicians and the medical establishment of the risk benefit ratio, instrumental in any medical intervention recommendation?

Again from the CDC, “The updated (bivalent) boosters are called ‘bivalent’ because they protect against both the original virus that causes COVID-19 and the Omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5.” Are these the COVID variants we need to be concerned about today? Or are they extinct?

The original Wuhan strain, which caused havoc in early 2020, is long gone. As are most of last year’s Omicron variants. The current version of COVID is a variant called XBB.1.5, also known as the Kracken variant, growing “from about 1% of cases nationwide [in December] to 43% as of Jan. 13, according to data from the CDC.”

This means that we are boosting against variants that are or will soon be extinct. This would be like taking the flu vaccine from two years ago, this year, offering some protection against influenza variants of the past, not the present.

Yet health authorities recommend continued boosters. When will enough be enough? When will we have confidence that natural immunity, as most Americans have been exposed to COVID by now, will offer not perfect, but sufficient protection? Are endless boosters making things worse for people?

At this point, I must add the necessary disclaimer that I am not “anti-vaccine”, having been inoculated against COVID in late 2020 and I am not offering any medical advice. COVID decisions should be made in conjunction with your healthcare provider. I am simply observing and asking questions, both necessary in the advancement of medicine and science.

Cleveland Clinic answered the question about endless boosters in a December 2022 paper. It has not been peer reviewed yet, but given its conclusion, most medical journals would likely reject it, preferring to publish “peer reviewed” papers that they had to subsequently retract, as did the New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet. Peer review may not be all that it’s touted to be.

The Cleveland Clinic paper reached a simple conclusion as summarized by Steve Kirsch in his January 19 newsletter, “Top study shows people with more jabs were more likely to get COVID than people with fewer jabs.”

This study included over 51,000 Cleveland Clinic employees who were followed over  a 98 day period. Results were plotted by the incidence of test positive COVID versus number of vaccine doses, ranging from zero to more than three. At the end of the observation period, the differences were statistically significant between number of doses and infection for all groups except the 3 and >3 doses.

Cleveland Clinic is not some right-wing conspiracy theory Q-anon Twitter account but one of the premier medical institutions in the world. These results should be newsworthy, with honest and inquisitive journalists asking Drs Anthony Fauci and Rochelle Walensky to explain this data. Instead, the media is chasing Rep George Santos, leaving it to independent journalists on Substack to actually report these results.

Another Chinese study in humanized mice found that, “Extended immunizations impaired the serum neutralization activity.” While this animal study has not been confirmed in humans, their conclusion was worrisome, to say the least, “We found that the protective effects from the humoral immunity and cellular immunity established by the conventional immunization were both profoundly impaired during the extended vaccination course.”

Alex Berenson, formerly of the vaccine happy New York Times, in his newsletter, offered a concise summary of this paper including this conclusion, “The finding may help to explain why large epidemiological studies keep finding that people who have received multiple boosters are at higher risk for Omicron infection than unvaccinated people.” Although not a human study, the results are similar to the Cleveland Clinic paper on humans.

Both papers are dutifully ignored by the corporate media, preferring to stick to their “safe and effective” narrative despite conflicting data that at a minimum warrants further analysis and discussion

Physicians practice, or at least should, under the mantra “First do no harm”. New data must be considered, and hypotheses and recommendations changed in response to new information. Doing otherwise may lead to harm and erosion of trust in the medical system, which in America has previously been the best in the world.

How will history view those who looked the other way out of fear or hubris, daring not to ask questions and think beyond the pronouncements of government health agencies? And how many Americans will have their lives upended by dutifully adhering to government pronouncements?
