What Are The Fascists at HotAir Selling?

THEY ASK…”Will Trump Ever Leave The White House?”

by Thomas Edsall at  HotAir:

Before you decide that this is paranoia, let me point out that Leege is an eminently reasonable scholar, a former chair of the board of overseers of the American National Election Studies and one of the founders of the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems. He has been a valued source of mine for years.

“The country is armed to the hilt,” Leege wrote:

“As president, Trump has resisted any effort to curb citizen access to guns and ammo. He puts on a modest show of concern when a particularly bad gun massacre occurs but, in the end, he sees armed citizens as a significant personal asset.”

Leege went on to speculate about what might happen in the worst of circumstances:

“I think the legal profession, finance, and corporate business would resist Trump’s efforts toward a coup. They need stability to make profits. Perhaps the biggest question concerns the military. Coups are usually backstopped by colonels, not generals. Thus, major barracks could provide him with support. Probably his best strategy to keep all levels of the military loyal to him rather than to the Constitution would be to embroil us in a major war.”

Will Trump ever leave the White House?

Do the bankers at HotAir make more $$$$ reaching out for Dem’s fascist readers to gather and growl  in their leftist wigwams?   Or are they merely RINOS?  ghr

Kamala Harris’ Fascist Dem Brain Working Overtime!

Kamala Harris: Trump’s Twitter Account Should Be Suspended

The air is thick with authoritarianism these days and it will only get worse as we go further into the impeachment process. Monday night presidential candidate Kamala Harris said that the Twitter account of President Trump should be suspended.

SEE ALSO: Yikes: Now deepfakes are getting the voices right too

During an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, the topic of the whistleblower came up. He asked her about any concern over the protection of the person she may have. From there she launched into her opinion that Trump’s Twitter account should be suspended. “When the President of the United States speaks, her words are very powerful and should be used in a way that is not about belittling or harming anyone. And this president has never really fully appreciated that responsibility.” (Notice that Kamala uses the pronoun “her” when referring to the president.)

Pres. Trump’s “Twitter account should be suspended,” says Kamala Harris.

“There’s plenty of…evidence to suggest that he is irresponsible with his words in a way that could result in harm…so the privilege of using those words in that way should probably be taken from him.”

Embedded video

In other words, a Democrat running for president doesn’t like the words of the current Republican president. This is a woman who was the Attorney General of California and a District Attorney in San Francisco. She should be familiar with the First Amendment.

“The President’s tweets and his behaviors about this are just further evidence of the fact that he uses his power in a way that is designed to beat people down instead of lift people up,” the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate told CNN.

“Frankly, when you look at what he’s been tweeting today directed at the whistleblower, directed at so many people, you know, I, frankly, think that based on this and all we’ve seen him do before, including attacking members of Congress, that he, frankly, should be — his Twitter account should be suspended.”

Senator Harris seems to be saying that if the president has words of criticism for those working to remove him from office, instead of inspirational words, then he must be shut down. Does anyone turn to Twitter for words of inspiration? This is consistent with the authoritarians among us who demand that anyone expressing thoughts or opinions different than their own must be silenced. In social media, it is called deplatforming.

President Trump is known for using Twitter to get his daily messages out to his millions of followers. He doesn’t mince words or sugar-coats his thoughts. His behavior has not changed since he first began using Twitter, years before he ran for president. This is nothing new. A demand that Trump’s Twitter account be suspended or terminated is not an original thought, either. In 2017 an employee of Twitter “accidentially” briefly deactivated Trump’s account. In September 2017, Twitter refused to pacify those who were calling for the termination of his account by declaring his tweets newsworthy.

Harris thinks Trump’s tweets about the whistleblower are harmful and so he must be silenced. Who died and made her the boss of everyone? Just think if she were ever to be elected as president (she won’t be) and put her authoritiarianism tendencies into place. Twitter is a public company, not a governmental agency.

There is an online petition up at Change.org which demands the suspension or cancellation of Trump’s Twitter account.

The impeachment train is going full steam ahead down the track. The House is moving with a swiftness not often seen because of some members thinking, wistfully, this time we’ve got him. The whistleblower’s complaint about the phone call to the Ukrainian president is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Or so they think.

Speaker Pelosi is in authoritarian mode, too. She launched impeachment inquiries involving six committees before ever even calling for a vote in the House. She has completely shut out the voices of the minority in the House. Does no one have a concern about that? It isn’t technically unconstitutional but it is unprecedented. Yet, she is heralded across the country and on television 24/7 as a bold leader. Instead, I would argue that she caved to the far left in her party in hopes of retaining the majority in the House in 2020. Pelosi claims the impeachment inquiries will be limited to focusing on the Ukraine corruption allegations. Good luck with that, Madame Speaker.

Kamala Harris is calling for censorship of an opposing view. She’s calling for the right of free speech of the President of the United States to be shut down. Imagine what she would do if she was in the highest office in the land. Believe them when they tell you who they are.

DeBlasio Fascism Explodes in New York City?

NEW YORK CITY BANS WRONGTHINK

by John Hinderaker  at PowerLine

New York City is trying to ban the phrase “illegal alien” in various contexts, including employment and housing. It has issued a guidance to that effect under the New York City Human Rights Law. Under the City’s interpretation, calling an illegal alien an “illegal alien” could cost you $250,000. At Liberty Unyielding, Hans Bader points out that the guidance is obviously unconstitutional:

New York City is seeking to use an overly broad ordinance against discriminatory harassment to restrict speech about illegal aliens, such as use of the word “illegal alien” to describe workers or tenants. That violates the First Amendment. … The Commission states, “Even an employer’s single comment made in circumstances where that comment would signal discriminatory views about one’s immigration status or national origin may be enough to constitute harassment. The use of the terms “illegal alien” and “illegals,” with the intent to demean, humiliate, or offend a person or persons in the workplace, amounts to unlawful discrimination under the NYCHRL.”

The City of New York wants to frustrate the enforcement of immigration laws:

The city also is trying to forbid most if not all reporting of illegal aliens to the federal government. The Commission forbids such reports if the person making the report is “motivated” by the illegal alien’s “immigration status.” But what other motive could a reporting party legitimately have? The whole reason to report an illegal alien to the federal government is precisely because of their immigration status.

New York wants to ban the phrase “illegal alien,” but that is how illegal aliens are described throughout Title 8 of the U.S. Code. And employers are not just permitted but required to have a “discriminatory view” of illegal aliens, since, under federal law, it is illegal to hire them.

Further, as Hans points out, constitutionally protected speech does not lose that status on account of any allegedly impure motive on the part of the speaker. It is hard to imagine a more obviously unconstitutional restriction than New York’s “human rights guidance.” But I don’t suppose that bothers the leftists who issued it.

For some time now, the left has been trying to normalize extremism. But this New York City rule exemplifies the left’s current effort to go further by actually requiring extremism, or at least obeisance to extremism. You must agree with the left that the phrase “illegal alien” is verboten, a view that only a small minority holds and is legally untenable, or risk a $250,000 fine. This is the brave new world in which those who live in urban areas controlled by liberals are forced to live.

When will Americans Begin to Notice the Schiff Fascists Now Destroying Our American Dream to Seek and Honor TRUTH!

Where would we Americans be today without the devotion for truth and freedom exercised by honest Jewish folks such as John Hinderaker and Dennis Prager?

Our American Christian community, may God Bless Them, seems to have retreated into the Roman catacombs again  (for another 500 years?).   At least they still worship the importance of Truth over Evil when  80% of their voters went for  and elected Donald J. Trump to the American Presidency in 2016!!

THEY, ABOVE ALL OTHER AMERICAN GROUPS  RECOGNIZED HILLARY’S FASCISTIC  EVILS.

What makes Evil in a live human animal? ……  THE ABSENCE OF TRUTH AND HUMAN DECENCY, something I learned at Church and in school, kindergarten to college and graduate school when America was still the AMERICAN DREAM!

It isn’t too hard to understand….UNLESS YOU ARE FASCISTS LIKE  ADAM SCHIFF,  NANCY PELOSI, JERRY NADLER,  CHARLES SCHUMER, RICHARD BLUMENTHAL, BERNIE SANDERS, ERIC SWALWELL, MAXINE WATERS, GEORGE SOROS, HOLLYWOOD, AND UNIVERSITIES and other mouths running today’s Fascistic Dem Party absent of traditional American values dreamed and honored.

Fox News is also among this crowd of evil, but probably not by design…., perhaps their STAR animals don’t know the evil they are  nursing when selling  Adam Schiff and crowd.   “Conservative” Fox advertises “fair and balanced”  news….and so,  sells  Schiff FASCIST disorders and lies  as equal to those honest traditional Republicans and Democrats who still honor and strive for Truth and honesty but are too gutless or too uneducated to know or remember how vitally important EXERCISING TRUTH IS IN A FREEDOM LOVING COUNTRY  LIKE AMERICA IN MY LIFETIME  STRUGGLED TO MAINTAIN WHEN IT VALUED THE GUIDE OF GODFEARING JUDEOCHRISTIANITY!

I have never met John Hinderaker, one of my heroes trying to save our traditional American values in our days of Schiff swamp.   He seems to be a very gentle gentleman when evaluating the fascist and fascistic horrors now overwhelming our dreams of America!   Such gentlemen are better than no gentlemen at all.

The human female animal prefers security over freedom.   Fascism whether German, Soviet, Maoist, or Schiff-style doesn’t really seem to matter as long as she feels ‘SECURE’.

Leftism at Des Moines Register Disturbed….What a Shock!!

Cancel Culture Snaps Back, Reporter Feels The Bite From Social Media

A Des Moines Register reporter is finding out the hard way that cancel culture works both ways. If someone is reporting about another’s ugly tweets on Twitter from many years ago, that someone better check his own social media posts first.

SEE ALSO: Comey: On second thought, maybe Trump should be impeached

You may have seen Carson King on Fox and Friends last weekend. He turned a silly stunt at a college football game into a jaw-dropping act of charity. The 24-year-old King held up a sign asking for money to buy more Busch Light beer. It was funny. His gesture went viral after he was captured on camera. The college football game was seen by a large audience because it was a part of ESPN’s “College GameDay”. In case you are curious, the game was between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Iowa State Cyclones.

The sign stunt happened on September 14. After it went viral, donations began pouring in. No one was more surprised than King. He got a lot of publicity and the story was told on FOX, which increased his donations. He told the audience that he was donating the money to the University of Iowa’s Stead Children’s Hospital. Venmo and Anheuser-Busch both pledged to match his donation. King appeared on Fox and Friends last weekend to announce he was almost at the $1 million mark. Busch Light cans were made with his picture on them. King was even promised a year’s supply of Busch Light from the company. Anheuser-Busch labeled King an Iowa Legend.

“Hey @CarsonKing2, we said we’d send you a year’s worth of Busch Light, but first we had to make sure the cans were fit for a King. Let us know where to send the truck. #IowaLegend,” Anheuser-Busch tweeted.

The Des Moines Register picked up the story and published a piece on Carson King. Included in the piece were two tweets from when King was 16 years old. The tweets were racial. The tweets were uncovered during a “routine background check”, according to the newspaper.

The newspaper report, however, included a “routine background check” of King’s social media history. Register reporter Aaron Calvin came across two racist jokes that dated back to 2012 when King was a 16-year-old high school student, “one comparing black mothers to gorillas and another making light of black people killed in the Holocaust.”

He was 16 then and now he’s 24. A lot of maturity happens in those years. King clearly has turned out to be a good guy who shares his good fortune with those in need. When asked about the two tweets, King immediately apologized and expressed both embarrassment and remorse.

King was asked about the tweets and immediately expressed remorse.

“That’s not something that I’m proud of at all,” King told the Register on Tuesday.

He appeared on local TV stations to apologize and said, “I am embarrassed and stunned to reflect on what I thought was funny when I was 16 years old.”

Anheuser-Busch severed ties with King, though the company said they will honor the commitment to match his donation.

Readers were not pleased with the newspaper’s trashing of King with the tweets so some did a little investigating of their own. Guess what? The reporter had some less than stellar tweets from younger days, too. The Register’s Executive Editor Carol Hunter issued a lengthy response.

Here’s the thing. This is where we are now as a culture. Reporters are eager to do a gotcha element even in the most feel-good kind of stories. Do we hold a 24 year old guy up for doing a good thing or do we trash him with mention of tweets from his years as a teenager. Teenagers say dumb things, that isn’t breaking news. There isn’t any indication that those two tweets represent his life now. The reporter and the newspaper went with the inclusion of the tweets as a gotcha, whether they admit it or not. Would the editor have issued such a tortured statement if readers hadn’t criticized the inclusion of the tweets? Of course not.

Justifiying the decision to include the tweets by saying the mention was way down deep into the article doesn’t matter. It was there. Readers read it. Also, stating the tweets weren’t the headline doesn’t make it right. The reporter points to the admission by King to the press before the piece was published as if it makes the paper’s decision ok.

“Should that material be included in the profile at all? The jokes were highly inappropriate and were public posts. Shouldn’t that be acknowledged to all the people who had donated money to King’s cause or were planning to do so?” Hunter wrote.

Hunter went on to defend the paper’s decision to include such information, noting that it was toward the bottom of the profile and not placed prominently at the top.

“The news conference was covered by local television stations, which first reported on the racist posts and King’s remorse. After those stories aired, Busch Light’s parent company announced it would honor its pledge to the children’s hospital but would sever future ties with King,” Hunter continued. “That happened before the Register published its profile of King, which was still in the editing process.”

King got out in front of it – he knows how this works. Cancel culture demands the person who offended someone be shunned, preferrably fired from a job. Also, the reporter’s timeline is in question. It looks as though Anheuser-Busch was told about the tweets before King went public.

Carson tells me he knew at 2:16PM that @BuschBeer was severing ties after tweets brought to its attention.

Turnabout is fair play. It looks as though the Des Moines Register didn’t do such a thorough “background check” on their reporter as the reporter did on his subject. Calvin isn’t innocent here, either, if past tweets are the measure of a man.

In now-deleted tweets from 2010-2013, Calvin repeatedly used the N-word, and wrote posts attacking law enforcement like “f— all cops,” and in reaction to the legalization of gay marriage said he’s “totally going to marry a horse.”

Before locking his Twitter account, Calvin issued an apology for his own tweets.

“Hey just wanted to say that I have deleted previous tweets that have been inappropriate or insensitive. I apologize for not holding myself to the same standards as the Register holds others,” Calvin wrote.

The newspaper is now investigating Calvin. King, meanwhile, has been nothing but gracious in his reaction to the newspaper. He is taking the high road.

“The Des Moines Register has been nothing but kind in all of their coverage, and I appreciate the reporter pointing out the post to me,” King tweeted. “I want everyone to understand that this was my decision to publicly address the posts and apologize. I believe that is the right thing to do.”

Fascistic Left Too Fascist to Understand President Trump’s U.N. Speech

The speech they’re trying to hide: President Trump’s stellar UN speech

By Monica Showalter  at  American Thinker:

Seems the mainstream media are desperate to keep President Trump’s stellar United Nations speech out of the news.

On Tuesday, Trump delivered a far from throwaway speech articulating the vision of the voters who elected him, speaking of nationalism, globalism, and socialism, along with an added rundown of problem nations to condemn and props for others.

RealClearPolitics has a video and transcript.

For starters, it was a zero apologies for America speech, which was a breath of fresh air, given the previous administration.

He drove a fine definition of nationalism in the American sense, not other countries, as a positive thing that benefits not just the U.S., but all nations.  And he exuded pride in the success the U.S. has seen as a result of recognizing this very reality:

If you want freedom, take pride in your country. If you want democracy, hold onto your sovereignty. And if you want peace, love your nation. Wise leaders always put the good of their own people and their own country first.

The future does not belong to globalists. The future belongs to patriots. The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations who protect their citizens, respect their neighbors, and honor the differences that make each country special and unique.

It is why we in the United States have embarked on an exciting program of national renewal. In everything we do, we are focused on empowering the dreams and aspirations of our citizens. Thanks to our pro-growth economic policies, our domestic unemployment rate reached its lowest level in over half a century.

Fueled by massive tax cuts and regulations cuts, jobs are being produced at a historic rate. Six million Americans have been added to the employment rolls in under three years. Last month, African-American, Hispanic American, and Asian American unemployment reached their lowest rates ever recorded.

We are marshaling our nations vast energy abundance and the United States is now the number one producer of oil and natural gas anywhere in the world. Wages are rising, incomes are soaring, and 2.5 million Americans have been lifted out of poverty in less than three years.

As we rebuild the unrivaled might of the American military, we are also revitalizing our alliances by making it very clear that all of our partners are expected to pay their fair share of the tremendous defense burden which the United States has borne in the past. At the center of our vision for national renewal is an ambitious campaign to reform international trade.

He returned to the subject with a rousing conclusion, too:

Love of our nations makes the world better for all nations. So, to all the leaders here today, join us in the most fulfilling mission a person could have. The most profound contribution anyone can make — lift up your nations, cherish your culture, honor your histories, treasure your citizens. Make your countries strong and prosperous and righteous. Honor the dignity of your people and nothing will be outside of your reach.

When our nations are greater the future will be brighter, our people be happier and our partnerships will be stronger. With God’s help, together we will cast off the enemies of liberty and overcome the oppressors of dignity. We will set new standards of living and reach new heights of human achievement. We will rediscover all truths, unravel all mysteries and make thrilling new breakthroughs. And we will find more beautiful friendship and more harmony among nations than ever before.

So much for Trump being a Nazi for being a nationalist, as the Left claims.  This isn’t Nazi talk.

Trump also summed up perfectly the problems that globalism has morphed into, including the problem of open borders, perfectly cutting through the kultursmog promoted by the left — exposing them as the real anti-humanitarians:

“Today, I have a message for those open border activists who cloak themselves in the rhetoric of social justice: Your policies are not just, your policies are cruel and evil,” he said, accusing them of promoting human smuggling and the “erasure of national borders.”

You are empowering criminal organizations that prey on innocent men, women and children. You put your own false sense of virtue before the lives and well-being of countless innocent people,” he said. “When you undermine border security, you are undermining human rights and human dignity.”

Wow.

He also blasted socialism as a real problem in itself, something no world leader has ever done, but all the world’s victims of socialism had to be cheering about.  Trump broke that barrier.

One of the most serious challenges our countries face is the specter of socialism. It’s the wrecker of nations and destroyer of societies. Events in Venezuela remind us all that socialism and communism are not about justice. They are not about equality. They are not about lifting up the poor. And they are certainly not about the good of the nation. Socialism and communism are about one thing only, power for the ruling class.

Today I repeat a message for the world that I have delivered at home. America will never be a socialist country. In the last century, socialism and communism killed 100 million people.

It not only put its finger on the world’s primary problem, it was also a beautiful speech. Trump described how nationalism isn’t a hateful sort of thing – it was precisely this appreciation for nationalism that enables citizens to appreciate one another’s differences. Trump had lovely words in it for all cultures, and praised many nations, it wasn’t the rah-rah me-alone sort of speech. It was nationalism with a friendly hand out, calling for common ground, because, left unsaid, there is common ground as nation after nation elsewhere comes to embrace their own versions of Trump, too.

He also did something unprecedented for any president – he brought up the need for human rights for gay people, women, and unborn babies, a human rights manifesto if there ever was one. Zero apologies, and not even the left has tried this.

But rest assured, the groundbreaking speech got overshadowed, first by the press’s own efforts and then by the shenanigans in Congress over impeachment.

First, the press focused on a supposed glaring incident with Swedish child activist Greta Thunberg at the UN, which was a nothingburger. (Why, exactly, should a head of state give any face time to an obviously manipulated foreign activist?) A non-story.

Then, following President Trump’s paradigm-shifting speech before the United Nations General Assembly, they pointed to the lack of applause, which was about to be expected from this globalist crowd. What it signaled was that they were listening closely, given the lack of cursory applause they give to everyone else, including Iran’s crazed leaders.

After that, they decided the speech was very, very ‘sleepy.’ This one got played a lot.

First, CNBC‘s nothingburger:

President Donald Trump‘s United Nations speech was a snooze — at least for Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

The 81-year-old Ross took a nap — a very long nap — as his boss addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.

Television footage of Ross showed the wealthy businessman sleeping soundly as Trump talked about a possible trade deal with China — which is part of the Commerce chief’s portfolio — and the U.S. stance on Iran.

Ross had his eyes firmly closed for as long as 15 minutes, video suggested, as Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave the impression of listening intently to Trump.

At one point, however, Ross’s eyes opened. He still looked drowsy, though.

Boy, look at the microscopic attention to that. Ross later smacked them down with what looks like a pretty reasonable explanation:

“This is fake news,” Ross said in a statement issued to CNBC by the Commerce Department, hours after this article first was published.

“I wear hearing aids and, during President Trump’s inspiring speech, which covered in detail the entire range of significant issues facing the world, was concentrating on what was being said,” Ross said.

Then they repeated it as a trope:

Esquire:

He sleepily accused Iran of all manner of international perfidy and gave China a few whacks. In what may have been an attempt to wake his audience up through sheer incoherence, he somnambulated his way through some anti-abortion rhetoric. It was at that point that I began to envy Wilbur Ross.

Daily Mirror:

Donald Trump sent a top ally to sleep with the ‘low energy’ and ‘boring’ tone of his speech to the UN General Assembly.

CNN:

And at the UN we watched as the leader of the free world delivered a sleepy, low-energy speech that zeroed in on one head-spinning conclusion: every nation should go at it alone.

It was anything but sleepy. Trump’s quiet, deliberate tone was quite different from his rally tone, a wild off-the-cuff style of speaking, improvised plenty, but for that reason, it was far more significant.

Leave it up to the mass media to be unable to distinguish the two and imagine the improvised stuff is more important. Trump changed history with this speech and set new boundaries. No wonder the press is trying to obfuscate and distract.

Atheist War Against Christianity Continues!

Hundreds attend Alabama ‘Back to School Worship Service’ after it was targeted by atheists

In the wake of the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio over the weekend, an Alabama high school held a back-to-school worship service in its gym “praying for God’s protective hand” over school children and the nation, despite being targeted by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, which accused the school board of violating the constitution.

“I do not believe we broke the law in having this event on the Fyffe High School campus,” DeKalb County Schools Superintendent Jason Barnett told Fox News.

ATHEISTS COMPLAIN ABOUT BACK-TO-SCHOOL PRAYER EVENT AT ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL

Hundreds gathered at Fyffe High School in Dekalb County Sunday to pray for safety and protection as part of an annual “Back to School Worship Service” that has been held for the last five years or so. The FFRF called the event a clear violation of church and state.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation called for an investigation into a "back-to-school worship service" held at an Alabama high school, but officials say it's a community event not affiliated with the school.

“DeKalb County Schools must make certain that its teachers and administrators are not unlawfully and inappropriately indoctrinating students in religious matters,” the letter demanding an investigation said.

FFRF said a “concerned DeKalb County Schools parent” reported the event was being organized and promoted by school faculty members and promoted on the school’s official Facebook page, which has since been taken down: “Please join us in praying for God’s protective hand to be over our schools, facilities, and students.”

ATHEISTS CRY FOUL AFTER 18 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYERS GET BAPTIZED ON THE FIELD

But Barnett said the event was organized by community members not affiliated with the high school and approved by the school board, much like other events.

DeKalb County Schools Superintendent Jason Barnett defended a back-to-school worship service held at Fyffe High School in Alabama after the Freedom From Religion Foundation targeted it.

“To my knowledge, no administrators or faculty members were involved in the organization and planning of the event. I want to add that the board did not promote this event, but rather permitted an announcement of the event on the school Facebook page just as it permits others to provide information about community events,” Barnett noted. “The ‘us’ in the Facebook announcement refers to the organizers of the event, not the school or the school board.”

Because of the attention from the FFRF complaint, the small prayer gathering had over 350 community members in attendance, a sizable increase from previous years, according to the local news.

In addition to praying for the schoolchildren, pastors and faith leaders prayed for those involved in the weekend’s mass shootings.

“Its a scary world, that’s why we are praying for God’s protection over our schools,” Jon Mayes, Guest Baptist Church pastor and parent, told WAAY TV.

Barnett said the school district has taken steps in the past few years to maintain safety for its students and has made it a major focus.

J. Trudeau Is Certainly a Twit, But Doesn’t He Look Handsome in Blackface!!

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH BLACKFACE? [UPDATED]

by  John Hinderaker  at PowerLine:

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been engulfed in a blackface controversy, and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving twit. As more old photos and videos tumble out of the closet, the BBC headlines: “Canada’s Justin Trudeau cannot say how often he wore blackface.”

Three or four instances have come to light so far, and Trudeau says there may be more. He really can’t remember, despite being only 47 years old and presumably in full possession of his faculties. Here are a few images of Trudeau in black or brownface:

This one is quite bizarre and reportedly was accompanied by a strange howling:

This one reportedly is blackface or brownface, although it isn’t obvious from the photo:

I personally see nothing wrong with donning blackface in the context of a party, a Halloween costume, or some such thing. I see it as no different from any other sort of costume, and I don’t understand why it is considered “racist” or demeaning.

On the other hand, I also don’t understand why anyone would do it. It has never occurred to me to don blackface (or brownface), and I have never seen anyone do such a thing. As far as I know, every single person with whom I am acquainted has gone happily through life without painting his or her face black or brown. So why is it that liberal politicians apparently have an unquenchable desire to appear in such makeup?

I can’t explain it. I only note it as in interesting psychological phenomenon. Maybe it tells us something about liberals; then again, maybe it is a quirk randomly distributed through the population. But I suspect the former. Liberals are weird about race, and maybe this is just one more manifestation of that weirdness.

UPDATE: This post wouldn’t be complete without Iowahawk’s contribution:

do we really know where Justin Trudeau was during the Jussie Smollett incident?

What’s the Deal With Blackface? [Updated]

(note from ghr:   Fascism usually thrives   upon the degree of stupidity of  nations’  leftist  populations and  leaders when power is required to keep the masses in order.   Fascism spreads rapidly when a culture no longer seeks or values TRUTH, as in our Dem world in today’s America which owns education, the press, the Dem Party, much of big business, and the nation’s thriving atheism world.

In our America of today fascism is taught at school and university with a huge touch of feminism thrown in.    Today’s fascists in Canada, as in our unUnited States, apparently  are selling racial cancer to  feminize culture rather than to seek and teach KNOWLEDGE and  TRUTH.

Please look carefully at the blackface created by and on the head of  Canadian leftist Prime Minister when he was younger…..the first display above, Trudeau with the smiling white girls.   Only LEFTISTS deceit can claim the picture, the pose, the setting is RACIST!

There’s no audio….only smiles among the faces, white and black.  WHERE  DOES FASCIST CANADA, OR FASCIST NEWSFOLKS IN AMERICA LOCATE RACISM IN THE PHOTO?

Mr.  Trudeau is much better looking in BLACKFACE in the top picture than I have ever seen him on television or newsprint.   I’d  think even most  anti-white Canook racists would agree with me….SO WHAT IS THIS GULF ABOUT?

LEFTY RACISTS must have their RACISM!!!)

And The Leftist New York Times Dictates Our American “News” from Coast to Coast

New York Times reminds us why we don’t trust the press

by  Jack Hellner   at   American Thinker:
We sat through eight years of Hurricane Barry abusing his power and not giving a damn about the law or the separation of powers, while most of the media cheered him on. We were even treated to stories of how the Obama/Biden years were scandal-free.

The media so liked Obama they colluded with other Democrats to protect the corrupt Hillary Clinton, his designated successor, from prosecution in order to elect her president. They used a clearly fictitious dossier as they sought to destroy Trump before and after the election.

The NYT executive editor is proud of the fake news stories on Russian collusion that they won Pulitzers for. (Isn’t that great that journalists get awards for excellence for false stories?)  Now that the public knows that it was always a fake story they now will seek to divide the country on race. In other words, there will be more attempts to mislead the public instead of report truthful news.

We can look forward to more false stories about Trump and Charlottesvile, the false ‘hands up don’t shoot narrative,’ the false stories trying to take out white Christian boys, endlessly ginning up racial hate with the term “white privilege” and calling Trump a racist for enforcing the immigration laws Congress passed as the Constitution and his oath requires. But in the meantime, we are getting this:

“We built our newsroom to cover one story, and we did it truly well,” Baquet told the assemblage. “Now we have to regroup, and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story.”

Think about that statement for a minute. Baquet says he “built our newsroom” to cover a story which turns out to have been based on a hoax spread by Democrat Party operatives and used by a corrupt Obama administration to spy on innocent American citizens while attempting to prejudice a presidential election.

When the news media isn’t regurgitating false talking points on Russian collusion and race, they will continue their fake news about the economy. They have tried to talk down the economy since before Trump was elected and the attempts to mislead the public are endless.

The following story is a good example: They gave three examples of why the country might be heading into a recession.

The first was a one-day interest rate inversion and most of the media was screaming “recession” from the rafters. The next day the interest rate inversion disappeared and utter silence.

In the article below, the AP said that Trump’s tax cuts were unpopular. Most of the media, in collusion with other Democrats, have continually lied to the public that only the rich and corporations benefitted, and it is costing the government trillions of dollars even though revenues are going up. It is no surprise that a misled public is confused.

The second is consumer confidence is down a little from a high level. Is it any surprise that after years of the media bashing Trump with lies that consumer confidence would drop?

The third is that manufacturing has dropped a whopping ½ percent in the last year after it went up.

If journalists were honest, they would report how well the economy is doing vs. most of the world precisely because of Trump’s policies. It is obvious that most journalists would rather have a powerful government and slower economy with Democrats in power than ever considering telling the public the truth.

The financial markets signaled the possibility of a U.S. recession this week, sending a jolt of anxiety to investors, companies and consumers

Trump’s 2017 tax cut proved so politically unpopular that many Republicans ran away from it during last year’s midterms.

The Federal Reserve voted last month to trim rates for the first time since 2008, a step taken to insulate the economy against trade uncertainty. But consumers interpreted that as a precautionary move ahead of a downturn rather than as part of an effort to keep the economy growing, according to the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment survey released Friday.

Consumer confidence has dropped 6.4% since July. The pessimism could worsen if the Fed decides to slash rates in accordance with Trump’s wishes.

One sector already suffering this year is manufacturing, the very industry that Trump pledged to revive and fortify with his tariffs. Factory output has fallen 0.5% during the past 12 months, the Fed said Thursday.

I wonder why the public has so little trust in the media.
