Dennis’ Plea for Donald that Eve of America’s Victory Over Fascism

A Final Plea to Never-Trumpers

by Dennis Prager at The Patriot Post,  Nov. 8, 2016

“It is very hard to publicly affirm a position for nearly a year and to then, at the last minute, change one’s mind.

Nevertheless, even as late as Election Day itself, I wish to address those conservatives and Republicans who have declared themselves Never-Trumpers.

I was one of you in vigorously opposing Trump’s nomination — on my national radio show and in my syndicated column. And I paid a price, as you have, in losing longtime supporters — in my case any number of listeners who supported Trump from the outset and found my strong opposition to him disappointing and worse.

Unlike you, however, I did say from the beginning that if he were to be the nominee, I would vote for him.

On this Election Day, I am more convinced than ever that this was the right position. I even have to believe that in the wee hours of the night — when worrying about the current and future state of our beloved country keeps you awake — many of you have at least wondered whether you have taken the right position.

Most of you are simply too intelligent, too idealistic and too self-questioning not to have at least on occasion had second thoughts. If you understand — and I cannot believe that most of you don’t — how destructive another four years of any Democrat in the White House, let alone the truly corrupt Hillary Clinton, would be, it is inconceivable that you have never questioned your Never-Trump position. Never-Trump, after all, is not the same as Never-Question.

To prove my point, one of my favorite Never-Trumpers, Jonah Goldberg, wrote in May: “If the election were a perfect tie, and the vote fell to me and me alone, I’d probably vote for none other than Donald Trump.”

In that moment of exquisite honesty, Jonah acknowledged one of the most important moral arguments to be made for voting for Trump — the Lesser of Two Evils argument.

To which conservatives who won’t vote for Trump often respond: “The lesser of two evils is still evil.”

Now, forgive me, but that it is a complete non sequitur, morally and intellectually unworthy of any conservative, religious or secular, who makes it. The only relevant moral lesson here is not that the lesser of two evil is still evil; it is that choosing the lesser of two evils, by definition, increases good. Would you amputate your leg if it might save your life? Or would you say that because losing your life and losing your leg are both evils, you won’t amputate your leg because the lesser of two evils is still evil?

Then there is the Never-Trump argument that Donald Trump isn’t a conservative. I agree that he hasn’t been his whole life, because he probably never gave the subject of the differences between left and right five of minutes of serious thought (nor, if we are to be honest, did Republican presidential nominee John McCain, whom I also worked hard to elect). But Trump and Mike Pence and his top political advisors are well to the right of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. As Victor Davis Hanson wrote last week, in his plea to Never-Trumpers:

“On the Supreme Court, Obamacare, the debt, rebuilding the military, the Second Amendment, school choice, abortion, reforming the tax code, re-examining regulation, energy exploration and production, illegal immigration, sanctuary cities, and a host of other issues, the Republican ticket is the antithesis of Clinton/Kaine — and is recognized as such by nearly all progressives.”

Why isn’t all that enough to vote for Trump?

Then there is the argument that electing Trump means that in the eyes of many Americans, especially young Americans, Trump will embody conservatism and Republicanism, and that would be a calamity.

On that noble concern, I am not willing to turn America over to four more years of leftism. First of all, the damage the left will do, if not permanent, will almost certainly last a generation. And I happen to think it could very well be permanent. Can you name a country outside of some formerly Communist countries (which had Communism forced on them), that chose to go left and has fully recovered from a generation of leftism?

Given the arguments in favor of voting for Trump, I see only three possible explanations for conservatives helping to elect Hillary Clinton.

One is that they are certain Donald Trump is so psychologically imbalanced that he will jeopardize America and the world. But they have to be certain of this. If they have any doubts, they have to vote for him — because they are certain about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats. And between certitude and incertitude, one must always act on what is certain.

The second is their self-image: How can they, truly decent people, vote for someone who has exhibited the uncouth speech and behavior that Trump has? Or, as some have expressed it, “How can I explain to my daughter that I supported Donald Trump?”

As someone who also thinks of himself as decent, I think that saving America from Hillary Clinton, the Democrats, and the left is the most decent thing I can do. And as for your daughter, just have her speak to any of the millions of wonderful women who are voting for Donald Trump. They will provide your daughter with perfectly satisfying moral and woman-centered answers.

And the third explanation for the Never-Trump conservatives is they that they believe we will survive four more years of left-wing rule, and that America is really not in such bad shape anyway. That argument was made this weekend by a writer for National Review. “The United States of America is not a wreck,” he reassures us. “The people who are telling you that it is — on both sides — are trying to sell you something. Don’t buy it.”

Question: What exactly am I, or Victor Davis Hanson, or Thomas Sowell, or at least half of The Wall Street Journal columnists, or millions of religious Jews, Protestants, Catholics and Mormons trying to “sell you”?

And second, that writer and others who think like him seem to be living in a different country than I am. Because compared to America at any time in its history except for the Civil War years, the country I am living in is indeed a wreck — and getting worse each day, and in every way. After another four years of a Democrat in the White House the country called the United States will still be here, but America as envisioned since its founding — as the world’s beacon of individual liberty, Lincoln’s “Last Best Hope of Earth” — won’t.

To think otherwise is willful self-delusion……..”

Dennis Prager, the great American conservative teacher in today’s America, has become one of America’s favorite intellectual preachers backing our nation’s 45th President, Donald J. Trump!   I am so relieved for I admire these two living Americans who love their country so above all others.

I first met Our Dennis a week before the US 2004 Presidential election, George Bush versus the silly huckster from Massachusetts and Vietnam, John Kerry.    A close friend of mine, a talented artist of quality painting, was a regular listener to the Dennis Prager show late mornings here in Minnesota.   We were both clones of the same conservative politics and very unhappy about the decline of the  American condition.

It must have been a Monday for all three Prager hours were spent reviewing the coming critical election.  John Kerry was a known chronic liar, a proven  charlatan playing hero movie-making in Vietnam, and suspected of being a gigolo to secure his wife’s wealth from the Heinz world.  Besides, he was a Senator from Massachusetts.  How more political criminal could one become?

In five minutes Dennis was railing about Kerry being an empty suit measuring every button…..(Wow, did he know this worm well!)   He began describing the Senator  rather professorially as if lecturing about Kerry countless  “weaknesses” rather than faults…all true,  well known, and perfectly described.   As Dennis reached into his second  bag  of fifty Kerry faults, his voice tightened, its volume increased, cadence quickened, until his  fury caught fire to a level of explosion as if Truth had nuked Emotion…..ALL OF IT ACCURATE….RIGHT ON, DENNIS PRAGER!!

I became a major  fan of Dennis Prager that moment and ever since with the single exception of his months of distaste for  Our Donald until Donald was the only Republican left to save America.   Dennis  was so wrong, so bigoted, so stubborn and unfair, so unDennisly wrong regarding the soul, character, and intelligence, and most of all, the love this Donald Trump truly had for his country.

I was myself a convert.   Yesterday was my 83rd birthday.  I had religiously followed American presidential elections since Truman beat Dewey in 1948.    Until August 6, 2016 my review of Our Donald was similar, a fancy pants from New York wealth who had a number of marriages and led  some kind of a dumb show on television, an Eastern  kook who had threatened off and on to run for the American presidency in the past.

I remember reading newspaper  details of Donald Trump’s divorce by his  first wife, Ivana, decades ago.   My own summation of his real  presidential  value was also deep in Dennis’  pit of the ridiculous until  Megan Kelly advertising herself as a wounded feminist approached Our Donald at the first Fox  Republican presidential “debate” worried about his view of women,  “You’ve called them pigs” and such,  and then dumped the only nasty questions of the evening on Our Donald, “Is this the way you feel about all women?”

I admit I boiled immediately over the unfairness.   Sweet talk and sugar fed to all but one of the ten   contestants, to this Donald J. Trump.

And then Donald’s answer….”No!  Only Rosie O’Donnell!”    It took him one second of television time  before that answer roused a roar of laughter from the large Fox live audience, the volume likely never heard at Fox before or since.

It was then I sent myself through the internet to learn more about Donald Trump’s background…his love for his parents, respect for his Dad and older brother, his athletic and scholastic talents…..he was offered a major league baseball contract following college, but decided to work with his dad’s building industry instead.     I learned about his terribly  public first divorce, the Mother of three of his five children, and that he slipped into mid life miasma….my interpretation.

He had taken risks in his businesses.  He had weathered  difficulties usually with problem solving abilities   brighter than anyone  else.   For more than a decade he often  carped in public about America’s demise, cultural and political,  the same complaints I had collected.

I found out Donald Trump  was well liked by his staffs and was known to have had a habit of paying out of the blue for common folk accidents physical and/or financial…..and that he doesn’t drink or smoke….the testament against drinking coming from the loss of his older brother who could not end his alcoholism and instead  killed himself.

In two weeks he was my man!    After Donald Trump’s  election Dennis interviewed my long time American political-social conservative favorite, David Horowitz whose articles I used to read in the 1960s when he was still an active Communist out in California.   Dennis noted to his radio listeners that unlike himself, David Horowitz had converted to the  Trump candidacy quite early in the campaign.   He asked David what moved him to favor Our Donald.

Horowitz answered “the moment Trump  answered Megyn Kelly’s question implying he was rude to   women and so, couldn’t qualify for the presidency that  first Fox debate assembly, the night Our Donald  corrected her assumption by answering, “No! Only Rosie O’Donnell”.

My favorite American Presidents of my lifetime before the blessed election of Donald J. Trump,  and I have followed  them all closely since 1948,  are a threesome….in order,  Ronald Reagan, Harry S. Truman, and John F. Kennedy.

Already Our Donald has move ahead of all of them….Our America is going through a hell right now…..with chaos at home with atheism,  the hysterical feminist collegiates and black racist-Marxist riots and rebellion, and the Islamic fanaticism  the “Un” in North Korea abroad with  the Charles Schumer and worse anti-democratic socialist dictatorial oriented leadership of the once honorable Democrat Party.

Dennis!   God Bless You for the good you now know exists in Our Donald.   This Donald Trump expressed the best American message to the World ever spoken by an American President this past week.     He has the advantage of not being a programmed politician and so, speaks from his soul…..A GOD FEARING SOUL WHO LOVES AMERICA, I have noticed….Haven’t you also, Dennis and dear readers?

The Google Sex Crime….The Fortune Fem’s View

GOOGLE MAN FIRED FOR SUGGESTING THERE MIGHT BE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE HUMAN FEMALE AND THE HUMAN MALE

“If Truth could be told and heard, it would be correctly reported that  the ditzies of the world, their feminists of all colors, sexes, shapes and sizes of our leftist days are drawn to the fascist state and its ONE PARTY DICTATORSHIP.

It’s a genes thing.    The   human female animal is by Nature not  interested in things fair and democratic.  She is not born to build, invent, inquire, explore, hunt and battle, to discover to perceive, deceive, and manipulate the unknown…….despite all of the propaganda, lies, distortions, fake news, and let’s pretend of modern American and other leftist life controlling our universities and schools, Google and other modern American social and political  industries, television,   the New York Times, the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times,  your local times, including many modern industry times.

In fascist North Korea a young adult male, not female American  brain was destroyed by its male police state folk and the body, mechanically still struggling to work was sent home to his America to die.

In today’s fascist left wing America a young employee working at GOOGLE was fired and ostracized for writing his belief that the human male and female animals aren’t really carbon copies.    The rest of the nation is supposed to be trained enough to blather and never forget by today’s developing contemporary  state and university leftist law,   “there are no differences between what used to be called male and female humans….period!”

Differences that matter in this new Obama-American new world  must only occur within  today’s  newly chosen, university designed,  ideally constructed single sex of the equally feminized.  They are an easier, safer, singular, more sheeplike  flock to obey and control.

Normal, traditional male males must be made to disappear.   These untethered, free thinking, curious, bigger, stronger, untransfigured, especially the JudeoChristians are  now mortal enemies of peace and the true Liberal left world.   As with today’s Google, they are  to be hated,  exposed,  ridiculed, and isolated  until eradicated, or  retrained or reconstructed.

CFACT’S DAVID ROTHBARD SCORES AL GORE’S RECENT GLOBAL WARMING FANTASY

CFACT is on a roll over at Climate Depot……by David Rothbard at CFACT:

Marc Morano has been so effective that he’s been marked for death!

I kid you not.

Climate campaigner John Gilkinson actually called for future international political trials at the Hague and for Marc to be executed along with a select few who are also skilled at correcting the record on climate.

Randy Olson, another member of the warming elite, lamented that Morano is “beating the hell out of the climate movement” and conceded that it is a “myth” that skeptics are better funded (it’s not even close).

When Al Gore’s sequel opened CFACT leapt into action; exposing the movie’s inaccuracies and outright lies.  When the movie bombed, Morano pounced and made sure everyone knew it.

For the record, Gore’s sequel came out at number 15.  When CFACT’s Climate Hustle hit theaters it came in at number one per screen and it was shown in over 400 theaters nationwide!

Then the New York Times put out a made up story that the Trump Administration was trying to hide a new government climate report which had to be leaked.  The truth was the report was online the entire time.  Marc pounced again and the din grew so loud the Times had to issue a correction.

The real story about this climate report is not whether it leaked or not (it didn’t), it’s that the report itself is a hustle.  It’s loaded with shrill warming rhetoric without hard science to back it up.  It’s propaganda.  Marc posted a full report that is a devastating take down of these government bureaucrats shoddy attempt to ramp up global warming alarm.

All of this reporting and more has been on the Drudge Report numerous times and Marc is in demand for media commentary.

CFACT’s Climate Depot is red hot right now.

This is prime time to visit the Depot and get the latest on all these stories and more.

Collapse of Civility in Minneapolis

What Has Happened to Minneapolis?

by Valerie Greenfeld at American Thinker:

“When I lived in Minneapolis, it was a welcoming town filled with hardworking, honest people with family values.  Braving extreme heat, politicians attended the State Fair, shook hands, kissed babies, and ate walleyed pike.  We used to stroll around Lake Minnetonka and talk about the local news, how many mosquitos were biting, and how the Minnesota Twins baseball team fared that year.  Minnesotans made me feel like family and welcomed me for a home-cooked meal.  But according to former FBI agent John Guandolo, life in the Twin Cities is not what it used to be.

Terror struck Minneapolis following a 911 call by Justine Damond, an Australian bride-to-be who was trying to be a good Samaritan by reporting a possible sexual assault.  Apparently, the policeman who responded, Somali-American Mohamed Noor, shot Damond to death when she appeared at the window of his car.  The facts have yet to be explained by Minneapolis police, who are investigating the July 15 tragedy.  But it is evident that some citizens fear backlash against the Minnesota Somali community.  It seems that the police officer was not a terrorist, and he is said to be a good citizen who made a serious, tragic mistake.  The problem in many communities is an enduring fear of terrorism that unleashes frantic emotions, whether warranted or not.

Tensions are high all around the U.S. as terrorist attacks continue to consume the news.  Now Minneapolis is home to the largest number of Somalis in the U.S., with over 125,000 immigrants.  Some native Minnesotans are worried about the violence in their community, and emotions run high in some neighborhoods.

Somalis in Minnesota mosques were stirred up when al-Shabaab (affiliated with al-Qaeda) claimed responsibility for the Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi, Kenya – perhaps creating an opening for Islamist recruiters.  The largest number of Islamic jihadi fighters in the U.S. left to fight for al-Shabaab in Somalia shortly thereafter.

“We Have a Terrorist Recruiting Problem.”

The issue of terrorists in Minnesota has not gone unnoticed.  Andrew M. Luger, the U.S. attorney for Minneapolis, spoke about a case against al-Shabaab: “We have a terrorist recruiting problem.  We are willing to recognize it and we want to solve it.”  Luger described the problem as “decentralized” and “widespread.” He continued, “To be clear: This case demonstrates how difficult it is to put an end to recruiting here.  Parents and loved ones should know that there is not one master recruiter organizing in the Somali community locally.  What this case shows is that the person radicalizing your son, your brother, your friend, may not be a stranger.  It may be their best friend right here in town.”

Since that time, the father of Yusef Jama, a man who left Minnesota to join ISIS in June of 2014, testified.  It was an emotional moment for all parents in the courtroom.  “He talked about having lost his son to al-Shabaab and now another to ISIS.  At the end of his testimony, he took the exhibit in his hand – a picture of his son, Yusef Jama, who is dead – and he asked the judge if he could take it with him.  He needed a picture of his son.  Neither I, nor the people who worked on this case at the FBI or my office, ever want a parent to go through that again.”

One way to ensure that outcome is to educate the public.

“Terrorists Are Preying on the Youth in Minnesota.”

The Center for the American Experiment explains that Minnesota spends more money per low-income individual on public welfare than any other state in the U.S.  The State Department contracts with charities in Minnesota such as Lutheran Social Services, Catholic Charities, and World Relief Minnesota to assist Somali refugees with housing and English training.  Somalis choose Minnesota for the state assistance and the established Somali community.

While there are many Somalis who choose to open restaurants, drive taxis, become entrepreneurs, and assimilate into Minnesota society, simultaneously, many are exposed to radical Islamic extremism.  This phenomenon is cause for concern for residents of Minnesota.

State Leaders Must Stop the Jihadi Network

Since my departure from the Twin Cities, the Cedar Riverside neighborhood has been nicknamed “Little Mogadishu” because of the enormous growth of Somalis.  Downtown Minneapolis has become home to at least 29 Islamic centers and mosques.

Little Mogadishu in Minneapolis

If I still lived in Minnesota, I would ask state leaders for help in stemming the Islamic jihadi network there.  Governor Mark Dayton publicly told Minnesota citizens at the Muslim Brotherhood’s Muslim America Society (MAS) that “if they do not like the growing Muslim Somali population in Minnesota, they can leave [St. Cloud].”  Congressman Keith Ellison represents the 5th District and is the first Muslim congressman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.  Ellison is known for his support of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan.  Known by some in Washington, D.C. as a man who tries to silence criticism of jihad and radical Islamism, does Ellison represent his constituency?

Do Americans understand the effects of radical Islamism in their neighborhoods?  Many Somali teens are struggling.  The U.S. attorney’s office created outreach and mentorship programs, jobs, and community events.  Still, living in an unfamiliar place with barriers such as the language, climate, culture, goals, and belief system creates a climate of anxiety, frustration, loneliness, and anger – all prominent elements to radicalization.

Minnesota Somalis radicalize not only because they don’t have a job or an after-school program.  The biggest problem is recruiters who convince young adults that fighting the infidel (unbelievers) will bring them closer to Allah.

Teen Programs Are Not Enough: The Radical Ideology Must Be Addressed

Jihadi rappers sing, “Call on Allah and never retreat / Make our feet firm, Satan’s plan is weak / Islam is our faith, jihad is the peak / The best of our end’s to be a shahid.”  Addressing this type of propaganda is the most important part of solving the terrorism problem in Minnesota.  No matter how many outreach programs, after-school events, and job fairs, without understanding and curtailing the root of terrorism, the radical ideology, and sharia law (Islamic law), the problem will continue to grow.

Minnesota recruits are growing steadily as communities, perhaps unknowingly welcoming organizations such as Hamas, the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and Muslim Student Associations (MSA).  Up to 80% of national MSA chapters on college campuses are demonstrating radical beliefs, according to attorney David Yerushalmi.

Young adults under the jihadi influence are becoming more sophisticated at hiding their radical intentions from their families and local authorities.  Terrorists in the U.S. are hidden in plain sight.  Without a drastic change in policy, ideological jihadi battle zones will continue to grow on American soil.  The focus for government officials must shift to locating the terrorist cells forming insideour homeland and recognizing that Minnesota is not alone.”

Transgenders in the Military? Let Them Be Segregated!! Why Not Female-Only Battalions!

AN ATTACK BY TRUMP “ON THE WHOLE LGBT COMMUNITY”?

by Paul Mirengoff at PowerLine:

“That’s how (minus the question mark) Steven Petrow, a gay Washington Post columnist, characterizes President Trump’s decision to reinstate the ban on transgender people in the military. This characterization tells us plenty about what’s wrong with leftist identity-politics.

The question of whether transgender people should serve in the military is first and foremost a decision about how best to defend America militarily. The purpose of our armed forces is not to promote or reject the LGBT agenda. Its purpose is not to serve as a model for tolerance of transgender and other LGBT people, or to afford them employment opportunities, or even to treat them fairly as individuals. The purpose of our armed forces is to defend the country from its enemies.

Does a ban on services by transgender people serve this purpose? I don’t know.

Petrow cites a 2016 Rand Corporation study, commissioned by the Pentagon, that led the Obama administration to lift the ban. That’s one important piece of evidence. However, it was pretty clear the direction in which Obama wanted to go, so I can’t help but wonder whether the results of the study were preordained. (For a discussion of the manipulation associated with Obama’s decision to ditch “don’t ask, don’t tell,” see this post I wrote in 2010).

Dan McLaughlin at NRO offers countervailing evidence. He cites a 2015 study by the National Center for Transgender Equality. It found:

Fifty three percent (53%) of [transgender] respondents aged 18 to 25 reported experiencing current serious psychological distress [compared to 10% of the general population] . . . Forty percent (40%) of respondents have attempted suicide at some point in their life, compared to 4.6% in the U.S. population.

Forty-eight percent (48%) of respondents have seriously thought about killing themselves in the past year, compared to 4% of the U.S. population, and 82% have had serious thoughts about killing themselves at some point in their life . . .

29% of respondents reported illicit drug use, marijuana consumption, and/or nonmedical prescription drug use in the past month, nearly three times the rate in the U.S. population (10%)

Military veteran and Bronze Star recipient David French, also at NRO, argues that the military is justified in making decisions based on group characteristics:

Do people with certain kinds of criminal backgrounds tend to be more trouble than they’re worth? They’re out. How about folks with medical conditions that have a tendency to flare up in the field. They’re out also.

It’s foolish to create a force that contains numbers of people who are disproportionately likely to have substantial problems. Increased injuries lead to manpower shortages in the field. Prolonged absences create training gaps. Physical weakness leads to poor performance.

It may well be true that military service is one way that transgender people can feel more accepted in society. Again, however, that’s not the purpose of the military.

French concludes:

The military has to make hard choices on the basis of odds, probabilities, and centuries of hard-earned experience. Our national existence – ultimately, our very civilization – depends on getting those answers right. And if there’s one thing that any person learns in war, “fairness” has absolutely nothing to do with the outcome.

The battlefield is the most unjust place on earth.

Again, I don’t know what the correct answer is on transgender people serving in the military. But I submit that French’s mode of analysis is the correct one. Focusing on whether a ban amounts to “an attack on the LBGT community” is the wrong mode.”

Glenn Ray wonders if Paul Mirengoff was ever in military service.   I wonder if Paul Mirengoff recognizes there are tremendous differences between the human male and the human female animal (despite the lies, the deceit, the corruption of our nation’s feminized colleges and universities?

I am a child of the second world war.   War was the event of every day even on the home front.   We boys played war games at home.  We went to war movies.  Girls played paper dolls and jumped rope.   From early on I wondered whether I’d have the courage to expose myself to death to save my buddies when I ‘grew up’ .  Did I have that animal drive in me?  I was certain I did.  I would serve my country in any way I could.

One of the main reasons I entered the army was the hope I would have the opportunity to do so.   I can’t imagine an army with females running around pretending to be men.   How could they be trusted in a fox hole.  When would they break and scream which is their nature, an animal  message to the nearby human male they need help?

In those days when adults were adults, men men and women women, the human male was made well aware of his duties in life.   Why would anyone go to war relying on  Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, or Madame Hillary in ones fox hole?

Science and Capitalism Dancing Together……

The science behind capitalism

By John Conlin at American Thinker:

“The economic system called capitalism has been described in many ways, but at its core, it is quite simply free people freely interacting with other free people.  Capitalism has transformed the world by producing more wealth than any other economic system in the history of civilization.

But how does it produce such wealth?  Some have said freedom is the magic potion – that left to their own devices, free people will outperform any other economic system.

That is true, but the ultimate reason is deeper and firmly based in science and fact.  In the past few decades, a great deal of research has been done on what is called swarm intelligence.  Swarm intelligence attempts to explain and understand the collective behavior of group animals.  Think of honeybees, schools of fish, herds of bison, flocks of birds, etc.

The intelligence of the swarm is a significant multiplier.  Rather than relying solely on individual intelligence, these groups create a collective intelligence that is orders of magnitudes beyond that of any individual member.

They do so without any leader, with no management of any sort, with no one “seeing the big picture.”  In fact, having no one in charge is a key ingredient to swarm intelligence.  This incredible increase in intelligence is driven by countless interactions among individual members, with each following simple rules of thumb and reacting to their local environment and those members around them.  That’s it.

Perhaps counterintuitively, if an individual member did attempt to become a leader, the group intelligence would drop precipitously.  And although it may be difficult to grasp, this self-organizing behavior has no cause and effect.  It simply is.

Think of the intelligence of one of the members of these swarms versus the intelligence of the group.  We are talking about not adding a few group I.Q. points, but rather increases in intelligence by orders of magnitude.

My hypothesis is this same process is the scientific basis for the success of capitalism, and in fact the success of the human race.  This swarm intelligence has always been at work, but with our highly developed communication skills and the ability to record and store knowledge our collective swarm intelligence is truly astounding.  Just like the honeybee, our swarm is orders of magnitude more intelligent than even the brightest among us.

And thus capitalism, which is just individual freedom as expressed in an economic system, is absolutely certain to “work.”  It is a scientific fact just as certain as gravity.  And just like the swarm, it does so with no leader, no management, and no one seeing the big picture – no cause and effect.  It just is.

And just like the swarm, when we attempt to place leaders in this process, the collective intelligence plummets.  This explains why governments and their activities are always going to be far stupider than free individuals going about their daily lives.  This isn’t a political statement, but a factual one.

Again, we aren’t talking about knocking off a couple group I.Q. points, but rather magnitudinal increases in stupidity.  This stupidity multiplier isn’t restricted to governments; it applies to all organizations, the larger the worse…..”  Please read on:

Shame and Teachers’ Unions, TODAY AND YESTERDAY….

NEA’s 2016 Presidential Election Performance Was Even Worse Than We Thought

by Mike Antonucci  at INTERCEPTS:  A listening post monitoring public education and teachers’ unions:

“I’m told NEA is encouraging its activists not to look back at the 2016 elections and the union’s endorsement process because next time the candidates and situation will be different.

I can understand this thinking, because the last thing NEA wants is for its most active members and elected officers to evaluate the union’s campaign performance.

I’ve only just come across some detailed last-minute campaign strategy from last October and it illustrates just how big NEA’s failure was.

In addition to all the usual motivational efforts to get the membership-at-large to promote Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, NEA selected six battleground states for maximum effort – not only using teachers and union staff from those states, but deploying teachers and union staff from neighboring states.

The targeted states were Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Trump won four of those six states, but it is the margin of victory that really makes one question NEA’s strategy and effectiveness.

Clinton’s victories in Nevada and New Hampshire came by an average of 2.4 points and a combined total of 29,938 votes.

Trump’s victories in Iowa, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania came by an average of 5.5 points and a combined total of 811,762 votes.

It’s entirely possible that NEA is conducting secret evaluations of its political operations and I just don’t know about them. But everything I am seeing suggests the union is prepared to carry on as it always has. If so, it’s good news for Republicans, no matter what kind of nuttiness Trump gets up to.”

REMEMBERING PIECES OF YESTERDAY

(The above article was sent by my next door high school teacher colleague at Minneapolis Edison Senior High School, Mark Waldeland back in the 1960s.   He retired from  the field a few years ago.   On the other hand,  I was fired in 1971 officially for not filling a form out properly.    In truth, however, a leftist of the day, yet a decent man, Nathaniel Ober, an assistant superintendent of schools in Minneapolis, maneuvered my firing because I had aided a gal named, Gloria Pielow, at her request to organize a local school parents’ organization devoted to improving education and truth-telling by the School Administration.  Two of her sons were students of mine.

Gloria Pielow became an ideal star of the community, as it turned out….so fair, so bright, so polite, patient but firm ,  and yet so penetrating into the minds of others including school authorities, who had to listened to her expose  their cover-ups and lies.    The deceits of the school administration  became  exposed to the fresh air of Truth and the more morally gifted among the local public and the  City’s School Board.

One of her daughters was a student at one of the area’s civilized  junior high schools, to where nine black hoodlums had been  transferred by the school system’s central command from a black junior high school totally out of control on the other side of the Mississippi River.   Three of these new ‘lads’, already major trouble-makers in their own school,  brought guns with them.    In fact they were chosen by the school authorities to make the transfer from the troubled school to the untroubled one, specifically  because of their hooliganism.    It was the school administration’s  effort to try to restore order in the mostly black school from whence they came, as well as to  share racial troubles in a neighborhood of  very Roman Catholics, ie., very obedient white working class mothers and dads who respected ‘learnings’…..and a community  which included a number of native Americans and other groups of minorities .

During that Spring, the  School Administration sent a directive to all of the teachers at Edison requiring  us to fill out forms regarding how we spent our time away from school, during the season as well as during the Summer.

Although I taught competitive tennis voluntarily five days a week at one of the local neighborhood court complexes, I refused to fill out that part of the form than dealt with my private life.   (I was the school’s boy’s tennis team coach.  I was fired around the first of May.   Mark Waldeland replaced me at  that position….and didn’t let either the team or me down.  They remained winners.  )

I belonged to the Federation of Teachers those days.   It was destitute in countless ways, for it  had gone on strike and therefore in that time had broken state law.   I was a teacher-spokesman for our profession during the strike, explaining to the public the differences between Truth and the Administration’s lies and clumsiness.

I taught Russian and “Modern Problems” then….As financially troubled as the school system truly was, it at least lied for a good cause….to rise against and reduce rising black hooliganism, violence, and terror…in the years of our Lord 1971 and 1972 and……..and then came Black Lives Matter and the rest…..the following decades of the disappearance of  fatherhood in the Black American community caused by Democrat Lyndon Johnson’s laws associated with  Aid to Dependent Children, where more money was made available to mothers with children born out of wedlock, than those still married.

I went to high school 1948 -1952…a mixed race one in neighboring St. Paul….when divorce, fatherlessness,  and murder were  rarities throughout both of these communities, for both were practicing JudeoChristians then.
