Are All Today’s Democrats Bigots? The Obama Legacy?

HOW HATEFUL ARE THE DEMOCRATS? THIS HATEFUL

You can’t make this stuff up: Vogue, a reliable Democratic Party outlet, has gone crazy over First Lady Melania Trump’s White House Christmas decorations:

Melania Trump unveiled the White House holiday decorations on Monday, which are, as some people on the internet have noticed, very, very white.

White decorations at Christmas? The horror!

No, wait, that was the Obamas in 2015. Never mind…

This is truly beyond the pale:

In a year during which many have speculated that Melania hates her husband and does not want to be First Lady at all (a claim that has recently resurfaced), Melania’s White House Christmas could be interpreted as a snowy and desolate manifestation of her own isolation, which begs the question: Is she trying to tell us something?

This isn’t just over-the-top partisan, it is borderline insane. The craziness continues:

Indeed, some of the decorations brought to life an apocalyptic, barren landscape similar to what some of us imagine lies in America’s future, or the calming white walls of a mental institution.

You have to see it for yourself, or you would never believe how nutty–speaking of mental institutions–today’s Democrats have become.

Vogue goes on to assemble some of the “best reactions to Melania’s White House creations.” All of which are sick. Here is just one example:

When I read this sort of thing, I always wonder: did anyone say anything like this about Michelle Obama? I lived through those long eight years, and I can tell you the answer is No. As an antidote to the Democrats’ hatefulness, let’s close with some photos of this year’s White House decorations:

America’s Mobs of Leftists Attack Bible Museum

People are Mad the Museum of the Bible Represents ‘Only a Judeo-Christian Perspective’

Apparently they miss that it’s called the Museum of the Bible.

Some people have voiced frustration with the fact that the Museum of the Bible only represents a “Judeo-Christian” perspective and leaves out other religions Friday.

These critics say the Museum of the Bible, within walking distance from the National Mall in Washington, D.C., doesn’t reflect other religious point of views, such as an Islamic one, and also singularly focuses on American Protestantism, reports The New York Times. One professor also critiqued the museum for not telling viewers which areas in the Bible are historically accurate or not.

“There are a number of prominent omissions that make it clear that it’s not a museum of the Bible as one might imagine it from a secular perspective. They don’t do a good job of talking about whether parts of the Bible are historically accurate,” Joel S. Baden, Yale University’s professor of the Hebrew Bible, told the outlet. Baden also disagreed with the lack of representation of Islam and Mormonism in the Museum of the Bible.

The Museum of the Bible, with six floors of religious pieces, opened Saturday to the public. Described as a “must see” museum of 2017 by the Smithsonian Institute, the museum offers viewers the opportunity to see some of the earliest Bibles made in the United States, as well as witnessing an Israeli scribe working on a Torah and parts of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Hobby Lobby CEO Steven Green founded the museum and set up the foundation that would fund the $500 million project.

God Bless Dennis Prager

Today is  early winter in Minnesota.  It snowed a few inches with the temperatures hovering around 31 degrees at night and 34 daytime.  I have a half acre landscape garden to tend to before the real snow and cold come to roost.

I am a total believer in what has happened in life was meant to happen.   I am a total believer in the mystery of God (“good”), if you prefer.   “There is neither good, nor bad,” the ancient adage dictates…”Only thinking makes it so!”…..the curious ancient Greeks, I was told early in my life, advertised  the point.

I was also a school child of the Second World War.  Keep this in mind when I refer to the topic below of today’s Dennis Prager’s lesson in American life.

Patriotism was keen and active in those days, the war years.  Seventeen year old boys were disappearing from the home front on their way to the Pacific or Great Britain.  My first window of awareness came in June, 1942 with the arrival of the battle of Midway, when I began to read newspapers, beginning with headings….such as “Major Battle Waging at Midway”….on the front page of a Sunday St. Paul Pioneer Press that month.  A seventeen year old cousin of mine, Dale Chapin, (actually a step-uncle, a son of my step-grandmother, Bertha…..my own grandmother had died years before I was born)  had joined the Navy and had already been sent off to the Pacific front.  Death was very common among families in those days.

I couldn’t read novels, but I sure could read cutlines, maps, headlines,  paragraphs and stories about the war fronts.   Dale’s older brother, Roy, was already sailing on some warship out in the Far East.   “Snowbound”, a true short story about Norway children salvaging gold from their  Nazis occupiers, was read to the class.   A pledge of allegiance “to the flag” was recited every school day with pride and hope, when  Minnesota  school days were always open when scheduled, even when the mornings were 28 degrees Fahrenheit below zero…or worse.

Dennis was at his very  best today….both in delivery and content….for all three hours of broadcast….identifying the evils of our recent decade of leftist  Obama world assault on our  freedom of expression and thought established and long time cherished  by   the Godfearing founders of the American REPUBLIC.

And then there came Obama-crime’s dismantling of things American with the invasion of nearly 30,000,000 immigrants political and/or illegal to cause a leftist revolution to destroy the industry, the freedoms, the ideas and ideals American!

I was in the sixth grade, the class with a gifted teacher, Miss Koeneman, in charge, age forty going on seventy in appearance in those days.  (I am positive she was sympathetic to Hitler’s Germany at one time.   She visited the country on two occasions in the early 1930s  and had collected spectacular black and white slides of pre-war Nazi parades and festivities which she showed to the class….I think to remind us of “better days” of life….Allied troops were already closing in on the Third Reich itself.

Dennis preached the difference between a republican and democratic form of governing, the lesson I learned in that Miss Koeneman’s sixth grade class.

Our forefathers were devoted to the  stability of free expression, not its violence.   Democracy, that is,  government by the dictate of the majority, does not ensure a people’s  free expression to solve problems in the most Godlike manner.  Rule by people shouldn’t come from ones  feelings of the day or hour, but from established law based upon  knowledge and truth achieved by deep thought and study  by a Godfearing population.

We Americans then, were supposed to study to become more learned so we could solve our problems and secure our successes more fulfilling, more Godlike.

The Obama Democrat Party today is a gathering of very leftist feminist and racist hysterics…of all sexes, colors, shapes and sizes who reek of feelings rather than  pursuit of knowledge and Truth.

It is the natural emotional response of the female human animal who demands security uber alles by instinct….. a human animal born to bear children, NOT born to hunt and kill, nor  to invent and discover, to  problem solve, to build, explore, to defend, protect,  wonder, and to kill, if deemed necessary…….but, to seek security and peace at all costs to raise her children to maturity,  primarily by instinct.

The human male animal  is born a killer.   The human female animal  is born ditsy.  It has been  our western, our American, our JudeoChristian male and female  belief that through learning and knowledge,   we homo sapiens will best, most humanly    survive as civilized, as learned, as Godfearing, as Godlike  as possible,  as long as the human animal  exists…after all, we are thinking animals with a living conscience.

In today’s femi- leftist America,  learning knowledge or having a conscience is considered old time and sexist male.   Feminists of all sexes, shapes, colors, and sizes insist their feelings must now dominate humanity forever more….”until wisdom is rediscovered” anyway, if there’s still time.

“YES” to Steve Grasz to U.S. Court of Appeals, therefore “NO” to the Left’s ABA Fascism!

THE ABA’S UNFAIR ATTACK ON JUDICIAL NOMINEE STEVE GRASZ

by Paul Mirengoff  at PowerLine:

President Trump, Majority Leader McConnell, and Senate Judiciary Chairman Grassley are combining to great effect to confirm nominees to U.S. Courts of Appeals. However, one nominee, Steve Grasz of Nebraska, has hit a stumbling block. The American Bar Association’s judicial evaluations committee rated him “Not Qualified” for a position on the Eighth Circuit.

When I first read this, I was surprised and amused. I was surprised because the ABA rarely gives such a rating. Moreover, on paper Grasz seems qualified to be a federal appellate judge. He served for more than a decade as Chief Deputy Attorney General in the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. For the past 15 years, he has been a litigator with a top Omaha law firm.

What’s missing? An adjunct professorship in which he taught feminism and the law?

Grasz has litigated before, among other courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the Nebraska Supreme Court. While with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, he wrote nine briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and served as counsel of record before the Supreme Court in Stenberg v. Carhart, 530 U.S. 914 (2000), defending a Nebraska statute prohibiting partial-birth abortion. (As we will see, this may be part of the real problem with ABA has with Grasz).

In private practice, Grasz challenged a state constitutional provision restricting ownership of agricultural land under the Commerce Clause in Jones v. Gale, 470 F.3d 1261 (8th Cir. 2006). He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Appellate Practice Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association

It’s my understanding that the Grasz nomination is a case where the preference of the state’s senior Senator (Deb Fischer) trumped the recommendation of the White House Counsel and the Federalist Society. But that hardly renders him not qualified for the position. Grasz has the backing of both Senator Fischer and Senator Sasse, who slammed the ABA. I doubt Grasz would have that backing if he were not qualified.

The ABA’s rating amused me because it questioned “whether Mr. Grasz would be able to detach himself from his deeply held social agenda and political loyalty to be able to judge objectively, with compassion and without bias.” Remove the word “compassion” and you have described a great many Obama district court and appellate nominees.

To the ABA, however, if you slavishly take left-wing positions, you aren’t judging with bias. Rather, you are being mainstream — and, of course, compassionate. Never mind that it’s not the role of judges to adjudicate with compassion. The ABA’s invocation of that word gives away its bias.

Ed Whelan has ripped the ABA’s rating to shreds in a series of posts. Highlights include (1) ademolition of the ABA’s claim that Grasz has written that lower courts need not follow precedent from superior courts and (2) a demonstration of the ideological bias of Cynthia Nance, the Arkansas law professor who led the ABA’s investigation of Grasz.

Senate Republicans need to send this clear message to the ABA: Play it straight. They need to do so by confirming Steve Grasz, who clearly is qualified to serve. The endorsement of their colleagues, Senators Fischer and Sasse, are worth far more than the nay-saying of a left-wing law professor and her collaborators in the smear.

Will the Era of Obama and Hillary Corruption Truly Come to an END?

GREAT CIVILIZATIONS ARE NOT MURDERED.   THEY COMMIT SUICIDE!

I wrote the following article here March 15, 2010, seven and a half years ago, a year into   the ERA OF OBAMA AND HILLARY CORRUPTION when white became  black, bad replaced  good, thieving and lying became  rich, and our America was suddenly made  evil, using the Democrat Party, the nation’s press and news centers, but most of all, our schools, as their nuclear weapons to create their Oceania of “1984”.

They preached feminism, black racism, leftism  as their weapons in the nation’s schools and universities to stir up their  hate of  a God-fearing  free and open American society where women can  be female, and men can be male and Truth be sought, protected  and practiced again  in a free society where Donald J. Trump can be President.   Was “1984” coming to our American shores?

Please read the following article of years ago,  “CIVILIZATIONS ARE NOT MURDERED.  THEY COMMIT SUICIDE!”

“One of the best ways to measure a culture in decline is to examine its contemporary art.   How do society’s “expressionists” express.  Where along the continuum from the sewer and  vile to the rich and uplifting do “artists” make their observations, imprints and money?   What and who are valued?

Painting, music, lyrics, scripts, scenery, sculpture, day to day language, whatever the people see, interpret, value, and purchase.   What is considered civil?  Inspiring?  Thoughtful?

Art is simply a reflection of what is learned from the schooling of ones young.  What is valued is what will be taught and expected to be valued in the future.   Who does the teaching?

I believe  America’s  “being”  is in decline…..collapse…..is in free fall…..and one often wonders if  the slide is beyond repair…..Who is doing the teaching?

Those who have studied the history of civilizations know the absolute truth  of Arnold Toynbee’s  “Great civilizations are not murdered.  They commit suicide”

Civilization’s  illnesses,  including those with symptoms of suicide, can best be exposed on the couch of its art.   How is the cultural soul expressed in sound, sight and mind?

Is America wavering  on the ledge of hope, or is it falling into  the stench of the pit of rot?   The battle is between traditional values of decency,  justice, and personal responsibility and those devoted to a New Order, in  general, and the collective, the Marxist Democrats led by Barack Obama.

Mr. Obama has in no way caused the rot and consequent stench.  He is its student and he fosters what he has learned.  He and his Marxist friends in their Ivory Towers from whence he came,  and their Leftwing assaults on  JudeoChristian teachings, supported by the amorality driving Big Business all overwhelming  modern life.  They evolved from people doing “good works” as much as the vile.

Judge for yourselves, citizens of America.  Stop by your museums and galleries.  Open your magazines, review the pictures and writings;  go to the theaters both cinema and stage.  What is valued in the cultural expression?   Where and what are the billboards of its soul?   Why?

How does the art identify good of the culture from the bad?  Or doesn’t it bother?  Should it bother?   Who is honored?  Who is honorable?  What is honor?   What is taught?

Whom do the society’s judges  find guilty?   Why?  What do the teachers teach which might determine guilt?  What stories do they tell in the classroom, on television, in the movie houses and in the newspapers?  What is valued?

Are honesty, integrity,  personal responsibility, search for truth,  and concern for ones fellow man constantly integrated into the being of the culture?

Or is the high of  culture free at last, excited and mesmerized  by the drives  of the groin for pleasure and profit, politics and religion?

You answer!  What do we teach our children?   How are our children formed by what they see, and hear, and by whom they are taught to see and hear….Who and what lead them into the better life?

What is the better life?

Who teaches the young…..the STATE or the CITIZEN FAMILY?

Will America’s “Democrat-Marxist” Tiger Sharks Tear the Nation Apart with Their Leftist Lies at School?

The Left’s Sirens Are Already Hinting Our Culture Wars Will End In Another Civil War

..
“The radicalization of the Democratic Party is transforming everything that happens in America into another battle in our unending culture war.

By John Daniel Davidson at realclearpolitics: John Daniel Davidson

Is there anything left in American public life that isn’t an occasion for political rancor and division? NFL games are now nothing more than crude pieces of political theater. On Sunday even Vice President Mike Pence got in on the act, showing up to a Colts-49ers game then leaving after a few players knelt during the national anthem. Next day was Columbus Day, which the cities of Los Angeles and Austin decided this year to replace with “Indigenous Peoples’ Day,” because Christopher Columbus is apparently the new Robert E. Lee. And it’s only Tuesday.

It should be obvious by now that our culture wars will henceforth be constant and unending; the next battle could be triggered by almost anything. Whether it’s the reactions (or non-reactions) of Hollywood celebrities to the unsurprising news of Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misdeeds or the outraged calls for the repeal of the Second Amendment the instant news broke of the Las Vegas massacre, very little can happen in America now without it being an occasion for an appeal to one’s own political tribe. No matter how tawdry or horrifying the news, there is vanishingly little room for solidarity because there is no appetite for it. Not even late-night comedy shows with their shrinking audiences can resist the urge to devolve into partisan political rants.

For all his eagerness to wage the culture wars in his improvised, bombastic style, this didn’t begin with Donald Trump. It didn’t begin with Barack Obama, either, but a recent studyby Pew Research Center found that divisions between Republicans and Democrats on fundamental political values reached record levels during the Obama administration. You don’t need a Pew survey to tell you that, of course, but the data helps illuminate an otherwise vague feeling that American society is coming apart at the seams, and has been for years.

Right and Left Are Moving Farther Apart, And Fast

The Pew study measures responses to issues Pew has been asking about since 1994, things like welfare, race, and immigration. On almost every count, the gaps between Republicans and Democrats held more or less steady up until around 2010, when they began to widen. Today, “Republicans and Democrats are now further apart ideologically than at any point in more than two decades,” with the median Republican more conservative than 97 percent of Democrats and the median Democrat more liberal than 95 percent of Republicans. Here’s what that looks like in a chart:

Pick your issue. On immigration, 84 percent of Democrats say immigrants strengthen the country, while only 42 percent of Republicans say the same. Ten years ago, those percentages were nearly identical. On environmental regulation, 77 percent of Democrats say more regulation is worth the cost, compared to just 36 percent of Republicans. A decade ago, that spread was 67 and 58 percent, respectively. On whether Islam is more likely than other religions to encourage violence, 65 percent of Republicans say it does while 69 percent of Democrats say it doesn’t. When Pew first asked that question in 2002, shortly after the 9/11 attacks, the partisan gap was just 11 points.

Here’s the other notable thing about Pew’s findings. Among the ten questions about political values that Pew has asked since 1994, the partisan gap is much larger than divisions based on demographic differences like age, race, and education. For example, the average partisan gap has increased from 15 to 36 points, whereas 20 years ago the average partisan differences on these issues were “only somewhat wider than differences by religious attendance or educational attainment and about as wide as the differences between blacks and whites (14 points, on average). Today, the party divide is much wider than any of these demographic differences.”

The Pew survey is a rich trove of fascinating survey data, but it mostly confirms what we can all see for ourselves: Americans are sorting themselves into political tribes that have less and less in common. Partisanship has even crept into the online dating scene. Last month the dating website OkCupid announced a partnership with Planned Parenthood that allows users to attach a badge to their profile, the obvious purpose of which is to avoid accidentally going on a date with someone who doesn’t share one’s views on abortion.

Identity Politics Is Poisoning American Civic Life

That brings us to something else that might get lost in the Pew numbers: the median Democratic voter has radicalized much faster than the median Republican voter, and most of this radicalization happened while a Democratic president was in office. That counterintuitive trend points to a larger problem with how the Left in particular understands the American project and our prospects for living together in peace and prosperity. Although it’s true that Republicans have moved further to the right as Democrats have moved further to the left, it’s the leftward slide that should worry us.

For all their shortcomings, conservatives at least have a limiting principle for politics. Most of them believe, for example, in the principles enshrined in the Constitution and maintain that no matter how bad things are, the Bill of Rights is a necessary bulwark, sometimes the only bulwark, against tyranny and violence. In contrast, here’s Timothy Egan of The New York Times arguing unabashedly for the repeal of the Second and Fifth Amendments.

The rapid radicalization of Democrats along these lines follows a ruthless logic about the entire premise of the American constitutional order. If you believe, as progressives increasingly do, that America was founded under false pretenses and built on racial oppression, then why bother conserving it? And why bother trying to compromise with those on the other side, especially if they reject progressives’ unifying theory that America is forever cursed by its original sin of slavery, which nothing can expiate?

Before you scoff, understand that this view of race and America is increasingly mainstream on the American Left. To read someone like Ta-Nehisi Coates, whose recent article in The Atlantic is a manifesto of racial identity politics that argues Trump’s presidency is based on white supremacy, is to realize that progressive elites no longer believe they can share a republic with conservatives, or really anyone with whom they disagree.

Coates has attained near god-like status among progressives with his oracular writings on race and politics, which take for granted the immutability of race and racial animus. So it’s deeply disturbing when he writes, as he does in a new collection of essays, that “should white supremacy fall, the means by which that happens might be unthinkable to those of us bound by present realities and politics.”

What does Coates mean by that? It isn’t hard to guess, and lately Coates isn’t trying too hard to disguise it. In a recent interview with Ezra Klein of Vox, Coates expanded on this idea. Writes Klein:

When he tries to describe the events that would erase America’s wealth gap, that would see the end of white supremacy, his thoughts flicker to the French Revolution, to the executions and the terror. ‘It’s very easy for me to see myself being contemporary with processes that might make for an equal world, more equality, and maybe the complete abolition of race as a construct, and being horrified by the process, maybe even attacking the process. I think these things don’t tend to happen peacefully.’

This is the circuitous, stumbling language of man who knows precisely what he wants to say but isn’t sure if he should come right out and say it. Coates isn’t alone in feinting toward violence as a means—perhaps the only means, if Coates is to be taken at his word—of achieving social justice. On college campuses, progressive activists increasingly don’t even bother mincing words, they just forcibly silence anyone who disagrees with them, as a Black Lives Matter group did recently during an event featuring the American Civil Liberties Union at the College of William and Mary. (Ironically, the talk was supposed to be about students and the First Amendment.)

For a sincere progressive, almost everything that happened in the past is a crime against the present, and the only greatness America can attain is by repudiating its past and shaming—or silencing, if possible—all those who believe preserving our constitutional order is the best way for all of us to get along.

Seen in that light, the radicalization of Democrats is something qualitatively different, and much more dangerous, than the radicalization of Republicans. It means, among other things, that the culture war is now going to encompass everything, and that it will never end….”
