He who must not be named: How Hunter Biden became a conversation-stopper

Hunter Biden: The mere mention of his name seemingly triggers the vapors among cable TV hosts and their guests.
When President Trump turned to the Bidens and Ukraine in a speech, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace cut off the coverage, declaring she had to protect the listeners: “We hate to do this, really, but the president isn’t telling the truth.” When Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) tried to answer a question about the Ukraine scandal by referencing the Bidens, “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd angrily told him not to “gaslight” the nation.
The Bidens, simply, are not what well-bred people discuss in polite company, apparently. Indeed, many journalists seem to be channeling not Edward R. Murrow, the fabled CBS newscaster, but Florence Hartley, the author of “The Ladies’ Book of Etiquette, and Manual of Politeness” in 1872. Hartley warned her readers to “avoid, at all times, mentioning subjects or incidents that can in any way disgust your hearers.”
For news shows on MSNBC, CNN and other cable networks, nothing is more disgusting than the mention of what Hunter Biden actually was doing in Ukraine.
For those brave enough to read on, I wish to dispense with one threshold issue: I was critical of claims over the last three years of “proven” crimes and impeachable offenses in the Russia investigation. However, the first day that Trump’s Ukraine call was disclosed, I stated that — if a quid pro quo were proved — the alleged self-dealing with military aid would be an impeachable offense. My point: Raising concerns over Hunter Biden does not mean you are excusing Trump’s actions.
What is most remarkable about the paucity of coverage of Hunter Biden’s dealings is the conclusory mantra that “this has all been investigated.” Many TV hosts prefer to focus on President Trump’s dubious claim that former Vice President Joe Biden forced the firing of Ukraine’s chief prosecutor to protect his son. I, too, fail to see compelling evidence to support Trump’s charge.
There is, however, that other problem of Hunter Biden landing a windfall contract with one of Ukraine’s most corrupt figures after his father took charge of potentially billions in U.S. loans and aid for Ukraine. That is what no one seems to want to discuss.
Indeed, the Biden campaign has been remarkably open in demanding that news organizations stop airing interviews or publishing articles about the allegations. Instead of calling it “fake news” (which is virtually copyrighted by Trump), the Biden campaign calls such coverage “conspiracy theories.”
Thus, the campaign wrote to various networks, demanding that they stop airing interviews on the scandal with figures such as Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani. Kate Bedingfield, deputy manager of the Biden campaign, also denounced The New York Times for publishing an op-ed by author Peter Schweizer on the controversy. The campaign apparently expected the Times and the networks to fall in line and bar others from even expressing a view.
Most recently, the campaign fired off letters to Facebook, Twitter and Google, demanding that they take down Trump ads referencing the Hunter Biden contracts. This normally would be viewed as unbridled hubris and arrogance — except that many TV news hosts are doing precisely what the campaign has demanded.
When Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) raised the issue on CNN, host Erin Burnett cut him off: “There is no evidence of Joe Biden doing anything wrong, and this is something that has been looked into, and I think — I want to make a point here — I think what we need to talk about right now is what did the president right now do or not do.” Other CNN hosts have repeated the line of “no evidence of wrongdoing” like a virtual incantation.
Whether the energy company involved with Hunter Biden was fully investigated by Ukraine is hardly a measure of culpability. Ukraine is widely considered one of the more corrupt places on Earth, where paying the children and spouses of powerful people is routine. Indeed, it is quite common in this country, too — and I’ve criticized that practice for more than 30 years in Republican and Democratic administrations alike.
Yet Ukraine was a virtual gold rush for Washington’s elite. Paul Manafort made millions working for Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine’s corrupt former president. Obama White House counsel Gregory Craig and his law firm tapped into Yanukovych, too. Tony Podesta, Democratic powerbroker and brother of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, and Vin Weber, a former Republican congressman, were implicated in Ukraine dealings.
Hunter Biden’s quest for Ukrainian gold took him to one of Yanukovych’s most controversial and corrupt associates, Mykola Zlochevsky, who leveraged his post as minister of ecology and natural resources to build a fortune. Before fleeing Ukraine, Zlochevsky paid Hunter Biden and several other Americans to be directors of his energy company, Burisma Holdings. Hunter Biden had no experience in the field — but he did have a notable connection to the vice president, who publicly has bragged about making clear to the Ukrainians that he alone controlled U.S. aid to the country. A stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry also was asked to serve as a director but reportedly declined and warned Hunter Biden not to do it; Biden didn’t listen. He later told The New Yorker that “the decisions that I made were the right decisions for my family and for me.”
His decisions certainly were profitable, but they were not “right” as an ethical matter for himself or his father.
Joe Biden has insisted he never spoke with his son about his foreign dealings — an incredible but categorical statement. The then-vice president flew with his son on Air Force Two on an official trip to China but suggests they never discussed his son’s deal seeking $1.5 billion in investments with the state-backed Bank of China. During the trip, Hunter reportedly introduced his father to Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li, who was part of that deal. Yet Biden insists he was never told of any business linkage or dealings.
If true, Biden was, at a minimum, willfully blind not to ask his son about potential conflicts or controversies. But it does not appear to be true, at least in part — because Hunter Biden has said he informed his father about the Ukraine deal.
All of this should be of some interest to the media, which has exhaustively — and rightfully — pursued foreign deals by the Trump family. And there is no reason why the media cannot pursue allegations against both the Trumps and the Bidens.
That, however, would counter the narrative that there’s “nothing wrong” with Hunter Biden’s dealings and that it’s all a “lie” that’s best to ignore. As Hartley explained in 1872, good manners dictate that you “never attempt to disparage an absent friend. It is the height of meanness.”
Imagine that the local cops know that a gang member, named William, broke into the pawn shop and stole guns, jewelry, and money. William’s fingerprints, film image, and DNA add to the hard evidence log. The owner knows it; the prosecutor knows it; William’s gang associates know it. But he is not arrested. Nearby shopkeepers and neighborhood mothers are asking why he is walking the street. No one explains it; mum’s the word. Could it be there is a grand plan to take out the gang’s leaders? No one knows; mum’s the word. Shopkeepers and residents are about to give up and start moving away from the area, and no one asks them to stay the course.
Fast-forward to today’s still vocal Obama gang. Why no indictments? Mum’s the word. Can anyone hold to the faith in American justice? Those who support the rule of law feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick a football. It’s coming — oh, wait, it’s coming…oh, wait…
Without doubt, a criminal cabal is an extraordinarily complex organization, and understanding who did what, why, when, and how is a challenge to the mental faculties of anyone. But, what happens if the full scope of activities is never clear? Does everyone get off? Does complexity confer immunity?
In engineering, there is no perfect answer to anything, so changes are made incrementally, addressing the problems as they are recognized. Each step brings a clearer view of remaining problems, which are then addressed, each in its turn. The completed project is still flawed, but the solution is practical and productive.
So it should be with a grandiose scheme like the Russia Hoax. The ringleaders don’t have to be handled with kid gloves. They don’t even have to be handled at all. Just start with the low-hanging fruit, and get as far as possible.
Those old enough to remember My Lai, Vietnam, know that Lt. Calley and Cpt. Medina were not alone in their actions. However, their prosecution forever changed the game of passing the buck on war crimes.
So, too, can rabid prosecution of bit players in the Russian Hoax forever change the landscape in plots involving treason. Those who would participate at the lower levels must know they are subject to prosecution, so they remain circumspect in such a re-enactment of the coup attempt. This would be the Achilles heel of another cabal — those who are intimidated by the prospect of prison. Those who realize they don’t have sufficient rank to escape punishment will be loath to participate in such a scheme. Without them, there will be no operational viability to an unlawful coup.
Admittedly, there are always problems in pursuing a criminal case. It must be so under our Constitution, but it cannot be impossible!
Prosecutors don’t get all the information, but at a certain point, for each criminal, evidence accumulates that there is a real and provable crime. It may not include every transgression of that person, nor is it the magic revelation, untangling the Gordian knot of the conspirators. It is a simple criminal act. It is what it appears, and it need not be put in the context of the big picture — it is as plain as the nose on your face.
That stage is the stimulus for a prosecutor. It is the time to move. If the DOJ acts, many of the sins can never be prosecuted, because the prosecution of their lesser crimes may foreclose pursuit of other crimes under double jeopardy protection. However, failure to move puts evidence and witnesses at risk of being lost. This point has passed for so many of the coup conspirators that it seems there will be no justice for many of them, like Lois Lerner.
Why?
A full recounting of all that is already known would be tedious, and to expound on the criminal conduct yet again seems shrill. It is not necessary to understand the intertwining of all the crimes before simply bringing the charges that are facially obvious. But the deferral of prosecution, for whatever reason it is done, allows many of the cabal to walk free when they shouldn’t. In fact, the indication is that they are continuing the very conduct for which they should be prosecuted.
Why has McCabe not been charged with lying to the FBI, lying under oath? Nothing more is needed to start the dominos falling. Who will step forward to exonerate him? No one can, and no one will. That omission — of a vigorously supported defense — will send a message to the others in the coup conspiracy.
Why has Samantha Power not been indicted for violating national security requirements in unmasking or transferring her unmasking authority to others? It doesn’t pass the smell test that she is too important to be prosecuted.
Why is Huma Abedin strolling around, free as a bird? She forwarded classified emails to Anthony Weiner’s laptop. What else is needed to demonstrate a crime?
Did Strzok do anything? Did Page? Which one lied to Congress? Their contradictory accounts mean at least one is a perjurer. Sure, there is more “there” there, but it isn’t necessary to keelhaul them; just send them to jail, and send others a message.
Listing all the cabal members, who are quite obviously criminal, is not easy — in fact, it is not doable. It need not be the aim. A public that finds this whole thing partisan or tedious will not be easily impressed if a 2,000-count indictment naming 43 people is suddenly dropped. Bringing along the public is certainly part of sending the message for future conspirators. It probably is better done gradually.
Removing the context and simply prosecuting crimes is the method to educate both today’s and tomorrow’s citizens.
Selecting single actors, and naming obvious crimes, will have a chance to convince even skeptical partisans that something is wrong. The lack of support from other participants will indeed remove most doubt.
The full scope of what has gone on will never be known, but the lessons for future participants in such a scheme is essential. The next time, the prosecution will be more severe, more certain, and more expedient. Protecting the Constitution is more important than perfect justice. Some miscreants will escape, but they will never sleep well again. The lesson must be taught.
A DOJ that fails to move loses its credibility and its honor. The foundation of the Republic is placed at risk. Without the rule of law, what do we have?
At some point, deferral of prosecution is dereliction or abetting. Has it reached that point?

To this list, we can now add childhood and children.
The left robs children of their innocence and has helped produce an unprecedented number of anxious and depressed young people.
Most of us are aware of how the left prematurely introduced sexuality into young children’s lives under the guise of “sex education.” That was just the beginning. Then the left changed same-sex college dorms, which had been the norm throughout American history, into coed dorms on virtually every American campus. Then came coed bathrooms. And just in case college students were not thinking about — or having enough — sex, the left introduced sex columns in college newspapers and “sex week” on virtually every college campus. One is more graphic than the other.
After reading a college newspaper sex column or experiencing the college’s sex week, a student could easily conclude that without having experienced a menage a trois and mastering cunnilingus or fellatio techniques, life is neither exciting nor fulfilling.
There are many reasons a greater percentage of college students are more depressed than ever before. But the immersion in loveless and romance-less sex is undoubtedly one of them. That is what contributes to the especially high rate of female depression on campuses.
The left hypersexualized colleges and now laments that colleges are all filled with a “rape culture.”
The left has devalued marriage.
An unprecedentedly large percentage of young Americans are not married, and more of them than ever do not consider marriage important. The left has indoctrinated a generation (or two) of young Americans into believing that marriage is unimportant — career alone is the road to a meaningful life for both men and women. Throughout American history, until the left took over the culture and universities beginning in the 1960s, it was a given, as Frank Sinatra sang, that “love and marriage … go together like a horse and carriage.”
The left has devalued having children.
The left is ambivalent and often hostile to people having children. That’s why people on the left have the fewest children of all political and religious groups.
The latest reason not to have children is that much of humanity is doomed if global warming is not immediately reversed. But since the 1970s, the left has offered other reasons not to have children including that the world would not produce nearly enough food and other basic resources to sustain the growing world population. Thus began the zero population growth (ZPG) movement.

But the left’s ambivalence over having children isn’t just hysteria over too many people, lack of food or global warming. Many people on the left (again, unlike liberals or conservatives) just don’t particularly want kids. Children are a nuisance: They interfere with one’s career; they cost too much; and dogs and cats are perfectly acceptable substitutes.
In sum, the left doesn’t particularly like children.
The left is ruining the childhood of many children by depriving them of the joys and excitement of growing into men and women.
The left has invented a new idea in history: that human beings are not born male or female but are “assigned” their sex at birth by sexist parents, physicians and a society that is not yet “woke” to this “fact.” In schools throughout America, teachers are told to no longer call their students “boys” and “girls,” just “students,” lest they impose a gender identity on them. Mattel has released a doll that has no gender. A New York Times columnist whose photo shows him with a beard has requested that his readers refer to him only as “they,” as he believes gender is useless.
Teenage girls who declare themselves boys are allowed to have their breasts surgically removed without their parents’ permission. Divorced parents who tell their 5-year-old male child who feels he is a girl that he is a boy risk losing custody or parental rights if the other parent affirms the child is a girl. Girls who compete in sports against boys who identify as females and complain that they lose unfairly are attacked as “transphobic.”
The left has convinced innumerable young Americans that their past is terrible and their future is terrible.
The left tells American children that their past — the American past — is shameful and their future is even worse: They will likely die prematurely as a result of global warming.
Whatever the left touches it ruins. The latest example is children.

Scouting a location to shoot a promotional video for my Trump Train 2020 song, my wife Mary and I spotted a lovely home with a huge Trump 2020 flag waving in the breeze on a flagpole. After knocking on the front door and introducing myself, I assured the elderly white homeowner that we would not show her address in our video.
Still, she declined our request to allow Mary to shoot video of me with her Trump 2020 flag in the background. She was terrified of being persecuted by Trump haters. It is outrageous that citizens are afraid to publicly express support for the president of the United States. The atrocious reality is Democrats and fake news media continue to instigate hate and violence against Trump voters.
Folks, we are in the process of losing our country right now, not somewhere down the road. Democrats are aggressively repealing your constitutional right to free speech. New York City will fine you $250,000 for saying “illegal alien.”
The only thing standing between Democrats and fake news media implementing their insane job-killing, anti-American, socialistic, and anti-Christian agenda nationwide is Donald J. Trump in the White House.
Fake News Media and Democrats’ hate-driven obsession with removing Trump from office is so over-the-top that it has literally become an episode of the “Twilight Zone.” Irrefutable proof that Trump did not pressure the Ukraine president to interfere in our election is being ignored. Democrats are moving forward with impeaching Trump based solely on Adam Schiff’s easily proven lies about what Trump said to the president of Ukraine.
Democrats have put all their eggs to win the presidency in 2020 into their Impeach-Trump basket. Their game plan is to sell voters their absurd lie that Trump is so corrupt that they had to impeach him.
The truth is that Trump has done nothing wrong. As a matter of fact, Trump is determined to restore power, as written in the Constitution, to We the People. He has built an unprecedented long list of remarkable achievements for America. If Trump is not reelected, Democrats will begin reversing his achievements, repealing your individual liberties, and abandoning Trump’s America first agenda.

Here is a bit of insider info about the recording session of the Trump Train 2020 song. My music producer and I had trouble finding Maryland singers and a recording studio willing to record a song supportive of Trump. We eventually found a recording studio. Singers from various states responded to my clarion call. We had singers black and white, old and young. Fourteen-year-old Justice, whose mom brought her all the way to Maryland from Florida, did a great job belting out her solo line, “Can you hear the whistle sound!” I love this kid.
After our awesome recording session which felt like a family reunion, the owner of the recording studio emailed me. He raved about how much fun he had and how it was a pleasure working with such a great group of nice people. Clearly, we Trump supporters were not the deplorable racist haters characterized by fake news media and Democrats.
Patriots, I cannot express upon you how important it is that we counter fake news media and Democrats’ relentless 24/7 flooding the airwaves with lies designed to deceive, intimidate, and dispirit Trump and his supporters. To win in 2020, Democrats and fake news media hope to destroy Trump’s character in the minds of a majority of voters.
It is infuriating that Democrats’ resistance to Trump has become so deranged that the elderly white woman with the Trump 2020 flag was afraid to risk her home being seen in my video.

The Betrayal of Donald Trump—by one he helped most

REMEMBER, MR. PRESIDENT. NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED. I’LL BE BACK TO SCREW YOU LATER!
The man on the left flew to New York to beg for Donald Trump’s support in his 2012 run for President against Barack Hussein Obama.
He came to Trump again when he ran for the U.S. Senate after somehow losing the presidency to a Socialist Muslim no one had ever heard of before. Trump graciously helped him–again.
But Mitt Romney is a sorry politrickster. He let Manchurian candidate, Barack Obama, smoke him in the presidential race….but he won a seat in the Senate.
So Trump backs Romney twice, but when last week’s flap over a phone call exploded, Romney was the first to condemn the President. Say what?
What had Trump done? As Executive of the United States, back in August, he had a friendly conversation with the newly elected anti-corruption Ukraine President, Volodomyr Zelenskyy, congratulating him on his election and encouraging him to look into sinister activities involving Ukraine in the American election…back in 2016.
What could possibly be wrong with that? And Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said he was already doing just that.
So when hapless Mitt Romney condemned President Trump before even reading the transcript of the call, I immediately knew something was up. When I read it, there was absolutely nothing even interesting, much less amiss.
Why was Romney worried about Ukraine?
It was clear there was more to the story, but absent Romney’s baseless and immediate attack, I must admit that we never would have investigated. But boy-oh-boy, I’m glad we did.
BACKGROUND-In May of this year (2019) the Russia collusion narrative was proven a hoax by the Mueller Report. Considering the fact that all 18 of the ‘investigators’ were devout Hillary fans and contributors tells me that if something was ‘there’ we would know.
President Trump then ordered his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani—former 9/11 Mayor of New York and famous prosecutor of mobsters—as well as his Attorney General, William Barr—to find the origins of this expensive hoax that locked down the first years of his presidency. A fair question.
So just yesterday we learned Giuliani and Barr had travelled to meet with foreign leaders whose nations assisted in the attempted coup, by-passing the corrupt institutions of government that had participated in it. Why? It’s rather obvious.
The CIA, NSA, DNI and FBI were compromised. It was actually these corrupt pieces of the U.S. apparatus of State that led the coup and solicited foreign nations to play a role, so this was a wise—but completely unexpected – move by Trump.
That’s his specialty, and that is what will save him.
By May of 2019 it was also known that Democrats solicited Ukraine to ‘dig up dirt’ on the Trump campaign—which has now been admitted by Ukraine—using these same U.S. government entities as conduits to assist the DNC (Democrat National Committee) using a Ukraine-American spy, Alexandra Chalupa.
We also showed you a video last week of Vice President Joe Biden. He was bragging to the Council on Foreign Relations back in 2014 about extorting the Ukraine government into firing its Prosecutor General, Viktor Shokin.
As part of the corruption President Trump asked the new Ukraine president to ‘look into’, Biden forced the Ukraine through extortion (in the amount of $1.2 billion) to shut down the investigation of his son, Hunter, and Ukrainian company, Burisma Holdings. (See FAKE NEWS MEDIA TRUMPED AGAIN, September 24th, The Pickering Post, but you’ll have to search for the video now…surprise, surprise…it was taken down after posting…hey Harry, we’re being noticed!)
Among the corruption being investigated, Burisma Holdings was paying Rosemont Seneca, (owned by Vice-President Biden’s son, Hunter), $166,000 per month to ‘consult.’ His partners were Secretary of State, John Kerry’s step-son, and FBI murderer/Boston Gang Boss, Whitey Bulger’s nephew. Hmm. Nothing to see here.
In addition, the Vice President’s son, Hunter, was being paid $50,000 each month, to sit on the board of the natural gas company as its ‘legal advisor’ despite having no experience in Ukrainian law or natural gas.
The Democrats clearly expected Trump to either let all this go like most RINOs would; or leave it to their Deep State operatives to ‘investigate’.
The Dems knew their Deep State rats would prevent any meaningful review. They would make sure that Trump’s promise to ‘get to the bottom of it’ was enough to satisfy pissed-off Trump supporters without really getting near the bottom.
Meanwhile, they would get away with it as they had The Russia Hoax, the Hillary Clinton cover up, and the rest, including rapes, murders, and worse–treason.
No Dem ever pays for corruption in Washington, DC. Everyone knows this.
But there is a new sheriff in town folks
Donald J. Trump is not a RINO or DC insider. He’s a tough-guy billionaire from Queens, New York and a street-fighter.
When the Democrats realised last week that Trump was actually heading up his own investigation rather than leaving it to their Deep State apparatchiks—and doing so directly with the leaders of Ukraine, Australia, and Italy (and perhaps the U.K.)—they did the political equivalent of starting a fire in a theatre.
House of Representatives Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, announced impeachment proceedings against the president just three hours after stating in a speech that she would not. Speaker Pelosi had zero evidence, cause, stated reason and lacked the required vote of the House of Representatives to do so, but announced it anyway.
Strangely enough…and what caught my attention… Mitt Romney jumped on the “Impeach Trump” train that same day.
How did Nancy go from “There will be no impeachment proceedings,” that morning in New York to announcing impeachment proceedings that afternoon when she got back to Washington, DC?
Meet the Grand Master of the Deep State in America. Admitted Communist, John Brennan, who has some serious explaining to do now that his attempted coup of U.S. President Donald Trump has been exposed..and continues!
So why did Romney want to shut down any investigation of Ukraine’s role as well?
That’s the question that got this investigation started and it’s shocking. Romney’s National Security Advisor, Joseph Cofer Black, sits on the Board of the same Burisma Holdings that was being investigated for corruption back in 2014, and the Vice President and Obama Administration demanded be shut down. Why? Because Burisma was/is their vehicle for corrupt practices in Eastern Europe.
And CIA Director, John Brennan’s 9/11 Deep State partner, Cofer Black, is still the link to all that goes on there. In fact, I can state unequivocally that Burisma is the centre of Ukraine corruption and the Democrats’ shadow organisation for corrupt activities. I live in Eastern Europe (Poland) and my sources are first-hand.
And I know this matters greatly to Mitt Romney as he is not yet done with politics. If Black is busted, it will reflect on Romney, and it only makes sense that Cofer Black is the Deep State ‘plant’ in case Romney ever rises above polishing knobs in the U.S. Senate.
Romney wants to run for President again in 2024 and if he wins, Cofer Black will be back with his fingers on the strings either as DNI or CIA Chief of Corruption.
Burisma Holdings is the hub of U.S. Democrat activities to corrupt both Ukraine and American politics and there is proof. Ukraine President Zelenskyy’s win surprised both Brennan and Black’s Deep State ops as much as Trump’s did in 2016 in America.
So who is this Cofer Black guy?
Joseph Cofer Black, joined the CIA in 1974 and rose to be Director of The National Counterterrorism Center, before joining Mitt Romney. If it were not for researching this article, I admit, he was unknown to me as well. What a revelation.
Black was also the Head of Counterintelligence who somehow missed the 9/11 attacks on New York and Washington, though according to The Economist, 16 foreign leaders and heads of intelligence agencies warned him it was not only going to happen but when. Oh well. And nothing was done about Cofer Black for this, indicating this is what the Deep State wanted.
But it goes deeper. John Brennan and this guy, Cofer Black, are how 19 terrorists got into the U.S.A. to attack the U.S. on 9/11. Editor Harry will jump on me or make Nurse Ratched give me a dose of Castor Oil if I say something I can’t prove, so I’m just going to quote the CIA whistleblower at the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia CIA staff hearing, who is the source:
“According to Freedom Outpost, Brennan was the CIA station chief in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when the 9/11 hijackers were given visas to travel to the United States.
“In September 2014, a whistleblower named Greg Ford, a former military intelligence officer, told Ground Zero Radio’s Clyde Lewis that the CIA had objections to the approval of those visas but Brennan actually overrode them.”
The second in command of the CIA station was directly quoted by the whistleblower as saying, ‘No way, absolutely we are not going to stamp those visas.’
But CIA Saudi station chief, John Brennan, overrode the officer in charge and ordered the visas to be stamped and issued. They came, they learned to ‘take off’ an airplane but said they were not interested in ‘how to land.’
Cofer Black ignored the reports about this strange behaviour, though it was made, I know as a fact, from the people who made it. I was also a Florida-based pilot in 2001.
You know the rest of the story. America lost over 3,000 citizens that day, and I sat for an hour trying to get past the terrorist pilots’ apartment in Coral Springs, Florida.
Freedom Outpost concluded, “If it weren’t for John Brennan, 9/11 may never have happened.” I’d add to that, if Cofer Black weren’t the head of Counterterrorism, Brennan could not have gotten his men in to do the job. It took (these) two to tango. That’s an opinion, not news, but I’ll bet money I don’t have, that I’m right as it’s a no risk bet. These are partners in crime.

Brennan definitely had help in this. These terrorists had to have someone at the highest level in U.S. Counterintelligence to let their mission come to pass and succeed by ignoring all the warnings.
They even took their flight training near my home and I remember being locked down in Coral Springs, FL after 9/11 where they lived for three days while the FBI went through their apartment just a few blocks away.
And this is where Romney’s man, Joseph Cofer Black, comes in. He was the partner in crime of John Brennan, (the Deep State Master), as well as being Mitt Romney’s National Security Advisor. Bad news for Mittens.

I thought we were talking about Ukraine?
Yes, we are. But we just learned all of this through researching why Mitt Romney wanted to hide what happened in Ukraine and was willing to trash President Donald Trump to do it. That makes this all relevant and pretty damn interesting to me.
As Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan was also in charge of the dirty tricks campaign against then-candidate, Donald Trump. FACT
All of that has now been uncovered by investigative reporters Gregg Jarrett (The Russia Hoax) and Peter Schweizer (Secret Empires) with enough references to satisfy Editor Harry and Nurse Ratched.
Amazingly, the plot was actually laid by the Deep State in 2014 before they even knew Trump would be Hillary’s foil in 2016.
I found that part pretty amazing.
The Ukraine/Russia story was created for whomever was the candidate to run against Hillary Clinton.
For John Brennan, it really didn’t matter to him who ran on the Republican side. He just cared that whomever it was, lost to the Deep State’s choice – Hillary Clinton.
Brennan, Black, James Clapper, James Comey and a host of others were prepared to make sure of it.
It was exposed just last week that Brennan flew under a fake passport to avoid detection on his trip to set this up in Eastern Europe as early as 2015. There is no explanation for a CIA Director to do this unless what he was doing was illegal.
Now let’s go back to Joseph Cofer Black. He is Romney’s Ukraine man, and Brennan’s long-time associate who is still covering here in Eastern Europe (from where I am reporting) for the Deep State in America.
Brennan came back Stateside from the Saudi Arabian CIA office the year after arranging for the 9/11 attackers to get into America. So what did he do? He took over CIA Counterintelligence from his partner, Cofer Black. Convenient, eh?
The Counterintelligence guy who ‘missed’ the 16 warnings on 9/11, and the guy who granted the attackers visas to get into the U.S. to take pilot training and do it, swap jobs, perhaps to prevent detection? Well it worked…until now.
And history repeats. The tag team is back at it
Barack Obama chose (or was told) to make John Brennan his CIA Director. Brennan then sets up the Russian hoax through the Ukraine government and intel operatives covertly in 2015 to target any candidate who might face Hillary Clinton in 2016. FACT
Once Trump became the Republican candidate, President Obama authorised illegal spying on Trump’s campaign, we now know, because it was labeled a ‘counterintelligence operation’ which can only be authorised by a President. FACT
The script for the Ukraine/Russia hoax was actually written back in 2007 to use against Republican candidate, John McCain. It was temporarily deployed but then shut down and recycled when it was clear RINO McCain would get his ass handed to him by Obama in 2008 without CIA involvement. FACT
So, Brennan decided to use the script in 2016. The Republican’s candidate would be targeted using the same plan, according to one of Obama’s own secret service agents, now author, Dan Bongino, in his new book, Exonerated (just out last week).
The original script was written by Fusion GPS owner, Glenn Simpson. That’s the same man and company who would be paid $12 million by the Clinton Campaign, The Democrat National Committee and the FBI in 2016 for “the Steele dossier” that caused the Russia Hoax against Trump—though actually written years earlier. Glenn Simpson simply changed the names. FACT
Unfortunately, there was a problem. Socialist Bernie Sanders was leading the Democrats side over the Chosen, Hillary, and had to be eliminated.
To achieve this, the Clintons literally did a forced takeover of The Democrat National Committee and its funds.
They immediately cut off Hillary’s rival, Bernie Sander’s campaign (as admitted by former DNC Director, Donna Brazille, on television) eliminating Bernie from the race.
John Brennan then began leaking the ‘dossier’ to Congressional Democrats, including then-House Speaker, Harry Reid and their media co-conspirators to begin the take down of the Republican candidate, Donald J. Trump.
Ironically, Brennan also leaked the fake dossier to Sen. John McCain, it’s original target, and McCain leaked it back to its original source—the FBI—to apply for warrants to spy on Trump using their own laundered information.
The FBI literally paid for the fabricated information, leaked it to the media and politicians who hated Trump, then used their reports and that dossier when fed back to them, to get warrants to spy on Trump.
But then the kimchee hits the fan for real. Trump gets elected! So, who jumps over to Ukraine to protect the conspiracy from being found out?
Brennan’s 9/11 partner, Joseph Cofer Black.. Within days of Trump’s inauguration was immediately put in place in Ukraine to prevent anyone from talking.
The Board of Burisma Holdings—the same centre of Ukraine corruption used by Joe Biden in 2014 to enrich his kid— was the base from which to shield the Democrat origins of the Russia Hoax and its intel roots from any real investigation.

Today, President Trump’s White House Counsel, Pat Cipollone, directed an eight-page letter to Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, et al., declining on behalf of President Trump to participate in the Democrats’ sham impeachment proceeding. The letter, embedded below, is excellent. Some would say, brilliant. It attacks the Democrats’ constitutionally defective and politically motivated proceeding at its root. You should read it all. This is the letter’s introduction:
I write on behalf of President Donald J. Trump in response to your numerous, legally unsupported demands made as part of what you have labeled–contrary to the Constitution of the United States and all past bipartisan precedent–as an “impeachment inquiry.” As you know, you have designed and implemented your inquiry in a maimer that violates fundamental fairness and constitutionally mandated due process.
For example, you have denied the President the right to cross-examine witnesses, to call witnesses, to receive transcripts of testimony, to have access to evidence, to have counsel present, and many other basic rights guaranteed to all Americans. You have conducted your proceedings in secret. You have violated civil liberties and the separation of powers by threatening Executive Branch officials, claiming that you will seek to punish those who exercise fundamental constitutional rights and prerogatives. All of this violates the Constitution, the rule of law, and every past precedent. Never before in our history has the House of Representatives–under the control of either political party–taken the American people down the dangerous path you seem determined to pursue.
Put simply, you seek to overturn the results of the 2016 election and deprive the American people of the President they have freely chosen. Many Democrats now apparently view impeachment not only as a means to undo the democratic results of the last election, but as a strategy to influence the next election, which is barely more than a year away. As one member of Congress explained, he is “concerned that ifwe don’t impeach the President, he will get reelected.”1 Your highly partisan and unconstitutional effort threatens grave and lasting damage to our democratic institutions, to our system of free elections, and to the American people.
For his part, President Trump took the unprecedented step of providing the public transparency by declassifying and releasing the record of his call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. The record clearly established that the call was completely appropriate and that there is no basis for your inquiry. The fact that there was nothing wrong with the call was also powerfully confirmed by Chairman Schiff’s decision to create a false version of the call and read it to the American people at a congressional hearing, without disclosing that he was simply making it all up.
In addition, information has recently come to light that the whistleblower had contact with Chairman Schiff’s office before filing the complaint. His initial denial of such contact caused The Washington Post to conclude that Chairman Schiff “clearly made a statement that was false.”2 In any event, the American people understand that Chairman Schiff cannot covertly assist with the submission of a complaint, mislead the public about his involvement, read a counterfeit version of the call to the American people, and then pretend to sit in judgment as a neutral “investigator.”
For these reasons, President Trump and his Administration reject your baseless, unconstitutional efforts to overturn the democratic process. Your unprecedented actions have left the President with no choice. In order to fulfill his duties to the American people, the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and all future occupants of the Office of the Presidency, President Trump and his Administration cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances.
Well said! There is lots more good stuff, some of a more technical nature. Here are just a few more paragraphs:
The Committees’ inquity also suffers from a separate, fatal defect. Despite Speaker Pelosi’s commitment to “treat the President with fairness,”6 the Committees have not established any procedures affording the President even the most basic protections demanded by due process under the Constitution and by fundamental fairness. Chairman Nadler of the House Judiciary Committee has expressly acknowledged, at least when the President was a member of his own party, that “[t]he power of impeachment … demands a rigorous level of due process,” and that in this context “due process mean[s] … the right to be informed of the law, of the charges against you, the right to confront the witnesses against you, to call your own witnesses, and to have the assistance of counsel.”7 All of these procedures have been abandoned here.

It is transparent that you have resorted to such unprecedented and unconstitutional procedures because you know that a fair process would expose the lack of any basis for your inquiry. Your current effort is founded on a completely appropriate call on July 25,2019, between President Trump and President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. Without waiting to see what was actually said on the call, a press conference was held announcing an “impeachment inquiry” based on falsehoods and misinformation about the call.21 To rebut those falsehoods, and to provide transparency to the American people, President Trump secured agreement from the Government of Ukraine and took the extraordinary step of declassifying and publicly releasing the record of the call. That record clearly established that the call was completely appropriate, that the President did nothing wrong, and that there is no basis for an impeachment inquiry. At a joint press conference shortly after the call’s public release, President Zelenskyy agreed that the call was appropriate.22 In addition, the Department of Justice announced that officials there had reviewed the call after a referral for an alleged campaign finance law violation and found no such violation.23
Perhaps the best evidence that there was no wrongdoing on the call is the fact that, after the actual record of the call was released, Chairman Schiff chose to concoct a false version of the call and to read his made-up transcript to the American people at a public hearing.24 This powerfully confirms there is no issue with the actual call. Otherwise, why would Chairman Schiff feel the need to make up his own version? The Chairman’s action only further undermines the public’s confidence in the fairness of any inquiry before his Committee.

For the foregoing reasons, the President cannot allow your constitutionally illegitimate proceedings to distract him and those in the Executive Branch from their work on behalf of the American people. The President has a country to lead. The American people elected him to do this job, and he remains focused on fulfilling his promises to the American people. He has important work that he must continue on their behalf, both at home and around the world, including continuing strong economic growth, extending historically low levels of unemployment, negotiating trade deals, fixing our broken immigration system, lowering prescription drug prices, and addressing mass shooting violence. We hope that, in light of the many deficiencies we have identified in your proceedings, you will abandon the current invalid efforts to pursue an impeachment inquiry and join the President in focusing on the many important goals that matter to the American people.
The Democrats won’t do that, of course. They care only about power, and are determined to bully their way back into the White House in 2020.
Finally, a personal note: in 2010, I tried a $200 million case against Pat Cipollone in Denver. He is a good, tough lawyer. I am glad that he is now putting his talents to use on behalf of President Trump as White House Counsel.
All the Democrats have to do is act sane, for a little while, to have a chance at holding the House and winning the Senate and White House. It’s not a tall order – don’t be a drooling fool arguing with a mailbox and you have an even shot at winning in 2020. For Democrats, even if that bar were so low it was buried, it wouldn’t be low enough for them to clear. As if they wanted to drive home the idea that impeachment is a tumor made of Trump Derangement Syndrome, they’ve chosen to make Congressman Adam Schiff the face of it all.
Schiff is the type of Congressman who would be marginalized to the point of irrelevancy if Democrats hadn’t metastasized into the media. His lies are constant, many of them are childish in nature. But mostly they’re obvious.
Every lie that perfectly fit the liberal narrative about President Trump, even if it didn’t originate with him, has passed through Schiff’s lips. No Democrat with a press credential questions his words anymore and he won’t go anywhere near where the few honest journalists who might. Even the awarding of four Pinocchios this week by the Washington Post has impacted his ability to lie.
The four Pinocchios, by the way, were for saying he and his staff had not spoken with the so-called whistleblower when they had, and he knew it. That is a blatant lie, not a misstatement, misremembering, or oversight: a lie. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was awarded four “for repeatedly hiding the truth” that he was on the call. That “hiding” consisted of not volunteering that fact to reporters asking about the whistleblower complaint which he’d not read at the time he was asked.
Pompeo wasn’t asked if he was on the call and he gets the same verdict as Schiff. It’s good to be a Democrat.
To illustrate just how good it is to be a Democrat, Schiff was even defended by one of the “reporters” he lied to on national television.
The Daily Beast is about as much of a journalistic outfit as MSNBC, which is why the Beast’s politics editor, Sam Stein, is also on the MSNBC payroll as a Morning Joe regular. Schiff lied directly to Stein about his office’s contact with the whistleblower, saying his office has not spoken with the registered Democrat. When the truth came out, likely leaked by Schiff’s office to the New York Times to get the best possible spin on it (and it really was a gentle story considering), Stein downplayed Schiff’s lie.
“Schiff did appear to lie,” Stein tweeted. Then he accused people being bothered by Schiff’s lie of being “a hack.” The next day he wrote a slobbering kiss of a story entitled, “Trump’s plan to save his presidency: take a hatchet to Adam Schiff.” In it, Stein quotes Schiff as saying “I regret I wasn’t much more clear.” He was crystal clear, there is the truth and he knowingly said the opposite of it. Stein the referred to this lie as “nuance.”
Again, it’s good to be a Democrat.
Schiff didn’t even have to ask. Every liberal outlet snapped to his defense. Going on the word of an admitted liar, NBC declared there was zero evidence Schiff or his staff had any hand in drafting the complaint and reaching out exclusively to one of the most partisan Democrats in the Russian witch hunt was “routine.” Were journalists honest people themselves they’d be embarrassed.
Now we have reports of a possible second whistleblower considering filing their own complaint about the same non-event call. The reason they’re considering this is to obtain the legal protections that come with whistleblower status. This person is allegedly closer to the call, which means they’re one of the people who illegally leaked it to the original whistleblower. That would be an illegal leak of classified material, which makes this an attempt by this second person to protect themselves from the consequences of breaking the law to start this hoax in the first place. It also stinks of Adam Schiff-advised strategy. Can’t wait for the New York Times story on that in a couple of weeks; wonder how they’ll spin this one.
From his constant declarations of “proof of collusion” to his denials of any knowledge of the whistleblower before Congress was notified, Adam Schiff has a history of not only of lying, but of being caught doing so. Yet he has been chosen by Nancy Pelosi to be the face of impeachment: a dishonest man chosen to make a dishonest case to the American people. It’s like OJ Simpson being asked to give the keynote address at a marriage counseling seminar.
It’s a testament to just how weak the case is that they’ve chosen someone with a shameless willingness to tell the public that up is down, that wet is dry, to be the mastermind of impeachment. That Adam Schiff is the one coordinating this attempted coup shows just how crazy Democrats are; that they lost that argument with the mailbox. That ultimately, the Democratic Party has Schiff for brains.

CNN refused to run this Trump ad on the Biden Ukraine scandal. Why?
“CNN is rejecting the ad, as it does not meet our advertising standards,” a network spokesperson told The Daily Beast. “Specifically, in addition to disparaging CNN and its journalists, the ad makes assertions that have been proven demonstrably false by various news outlets, including CNN.”
I have no idea what “assertions” have been “proven demonstrably false.” That is a characterization that I would apply to probably 75% of Democratic Party advertising carried by CNN and other networks, but what they have in mind here, I don’t know. Here is the ad:

The Democrats in 2016 graciously gave Americans the opportunity to do as we were told and vote for Hillary Clinton. And just as we so many times disappointed Barack Obama, we failed them as well, proving our illegitimacy as a citizenry.

Trump is all that stands between the America we cherish and the left’s policies for “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” They know that for us, 2020 is a “Flight 93” election and impeaching Trump on what is the thinnest of gruel, and arguably the finest example of projection today, is a last-ditch effort to either depose him or damage him enough politically to make him unelectable come next November.
With the media, their unctuous allies in scurrility, the left knows every specious allegation will be portrayed as fact in every article, on every news panel, and in every talking-head utterance. It used to be the “big lie.” Now it is a million little lies told by a camarilla of politicians and skirling media that they hope will rid the left of their Orange Man bane.
The left must make sure that someone like Trump never happens again, should they succeed at deposing Trump, or better yet, damaging him to the point where he loses in 2020, for defeating him at the polls can be trumpeted as the “will of the people.”
They will take our citizenship. Citizens have the right to vote and that is something they can’t fully rig until they accumulate enough power to implement democracy as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan understands democracy: “One election, once.” Instead, they are honing the art of cheating and weakening election integrity efforts while flooding the country with enough illegal aliens to negate our vote and guarantee eternal leftist primacy. In short, they will replace us with a more compliant citizenry.
Note: Living in the Bronx, it is now illegal for me to use the “derogation” “illegal aliens.” Should I be afraid? Am I Spartacus like Cory or like Kirk?
They will take our guns. A well-armed, regnant populace believing the “right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” cannot so easily be forced to give up their liberty to an all-knowing clerisy intent on saving us even if it kills us. It won’t affect them; they will keep their armed guards and walled estates. And if blood must be spilled to disarm us, they won’t mind. It won’t be their blood — or so they think. As my mother used to say, “They have another ‘think’ coming.”
They will take our cars, our large homes, inexpensive fuel for heating, and our affordable electricity. A mobile population is a free population, and a citizenry warm in their homes with electricity cheap enough to afford is too comfortable to need their “solutions” and too free to be constrained at their whim.
They’ve decided that no one needs more than 300 square feet per person; large private residences are wasteful, and we are selfish and greedy for working hard to buy them. Our avaricious self-interest must be eliminated, not only to save the planet but to build a better world for all. We must be forced to live within “stacked” cities in tiny apartments, cantilevered around mass transit hubs close to our jobs with no hope of escape. No hope in general.
“Try to say, ‘No,’ now, you deplorable bastards.”
People think the Green New Deal is about saving the planet — it’s not; it’s about control; it’s about socialism. Saikat Chakrabarti, Sandy O’s pappy-puppeteer, admitted as much. We’re not supposed to notice our elite will keep their cars, and their 5,000-plus square feet multiple mansions. Our ruling elite will be able to afford fuel and electricity at 10x today’s price while enjoying the added benefit of no traffic to impede the progress of their limousines. Ala Al Gore, the porcine prophet of climate doom, they’ll buy carbon offsets to maintain their Thunberg purity.
They will take away our right to say what we want when we want without fear of government reprisal. Because a people allowed to speak freely can “stand athwart history and yell, ‘Stop!’” Folks allowed to have their own opinions will eventually disagree, however minor the deviation. And they can’t have that.
They will take our children, something they’ve been trying to do for generations. Despots have always known that controlling youth creates controlled adults. Any freedom from an anti-American curriculum we now enjoy will be eliminated, including home-schooling, private schools, and magnet schools. When you start them young, they’re yours forever.
Impeaching Trump is their way of telling us to get in line, or else. If you think of Trump, not as Trump, but as one of us, it becomes clear. Destroying him is a way of telling us, “You’re next.”

Well, I thought it was most stunning and scary. I was amazed at that and rather disappointed that the attorney general would say such a thing. The term “spying” has all kinds of negative connotations, and I have to believe he chose that term deliberately. And I think it’s incredible that if he has concerns, he would have easily on his first day on the job, after his confirmation, asked his own IG, the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, for a briefing on his preliminary, in the course of his investigation, that is, the IG’s investigation, whether there was any wrongdoing by the FBI.
Barr has more than that, it would seem and has sent chills up Clapper’s spine that the walls may be closing in, not on President Trump, but on Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan for their seditious roles in the attempted coup against the President. According to a Wall Street Journal report:
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper says… that Attorney General William Barr appears to be investigating a high-confidence finding of the US intelligence community assessment of the 2016 election sends a “chilling message to the intelligence community.”
Brennan may be hearing those footsteps get louder as well with his increasingly hysterical commentaries at MSNBC, which, along with CNN, is where liars and leakers go to die, warning President Trump to keep off the grass. As Fox News reports:
Brennan… said he was “supposedly” going to be interviewed by U.S. Attorney John Durham but was concerned about Barr’s role in the process of looking at the origins of the long-running Russia election meddling probe.
Given that Barr is now accompanying Durham on these things, it really makes me think that the hand of politics and of Trump are now being used to massage what this ongoing review quasi-investigation is,” Brennan told host Nicole Wallace. “So I am concerned.”
Chaffetz expressed that it was important for Barr to investigate Brennan and former director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
“If you’re going to get to the bottom of the FISA [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] abuse, you have to understand what those two gentlemen were doing or not doing, and Barr has to pursue those facts.”
“I think Brennan and Clapper have both shown their political bias. I think they’re frightened to death that Michael Horowitz report is on the verge of coming out, that Mr. Durham has been on their tail, that the truth is going to be exposed…”
It is laughable for Brennan to be concerned about “the hand of politics” since it was his intelligence community that meddled in the 2016 elections in ways a foreign adversary such as Russia could only dream of and attempted to overthrow a duly elected president. And where did the Ukraine whistleblower come from? John Brennan’s CIA.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer once warned, some would say threatened, Trump, even before he took office, regarding the power of the intelligence community and its wrath against those who question its authority over our government and our lives. As the Washington Examiner reported:
“Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Tuesday evening on MSNBC after host Rachel Maddow informed him that intelligence sources told NBC news that the briefing had not been delayed.
Is the Ukraine “whistleblower” the latest attempt by John Brennan’s intelligence community “getting back” at Trump?
“Now, John Brennan’s hands are as dirty as Obama’s in this whole thing. John Brennan… traveled to Ukraine back in the time period around 2016 under a fake passport so it wouldn’t be known that he had gone, and he was arranging data on the dossier and all of the other dirt that they were trying to amass. Ukraine — not Russia, Ukraine — is the center of the universe of all this… “John Brennan, Obama’s director-CIA, went to Ukraine under a fake passport so that nobody would know it was him. Fake name. Can you do that? Can you get a fake passport? No. John Brennan can, CIA director. I’m surprised he even needed a passport. But he went under a fake passport to get opposition research on Trump!
As far as the allegations of, you know, CIA hacking into, you know, Senate computers, nothing could be further from the truth. I mean, we wouldn’t do that. I mean, that’s — that’s just beyond the — you know, the scope of reason in terms of what we would do. {…}
And, you know, when the facts come out on this, I think a lot of people who are claiming that there has been this tremendous sort of spying and monitoring and hacking will be proved wrong.
CIA Director John O. Brennan has apologized to leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee after an agency investigation determined that its employees improperly searched computers used by committee staff to review classified files on interrogations of prisoners. {…}
A statement released by the CIA on Tuesday acknowledged that agency employees had searched areas of that computer network that were supposed to be accessible only to committee investigators. Agency employees were attempting to discover how congressional aides had obtained a secret CIA internal report on the interrogation program.
Brennan’s briefing of Sen. Harry Reid, which included information from the Steele dossier, certainly is a key indicator of his participation in the campaign to keep and/or kick Donald Trump out of the White House:
“According to Russian Roulette, by Yahoo! News chief investigative correspondent Michael Isikoff and David Corn, the Washington bureau chief of the left-wing Mother Jones, Brennan contacted Reid on Aug. 25, 2016, to brief him on the state of Russia’s interference in the presidential campaign. Brennan briefed other members of the so-called Gang of Eight, but Reid is the only one who took direct action.
Two days after the briefing, Reid wrote a letter to then-FBI Director James Comey asserting that “evidence of a direct connection between the Russian government and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign continues to mount.”
Reid’s letter referred to some public reporting about Trump campaign associates’ links to the Kremlin, but he also included a reference to information that may not have been made public at the time. He cited allegations that were included in the infamous Steele dossier about Carter Page, an adviser to the Trump campaign at the time.
Brennan is a ringleader in the deep state coup against Trump. Instead of accusing AG Bill Barr of being corrupt, this might be a good time for Brennan to exercise his right to be silent.
