Total Eclipse of the Sun Crossing Northern Argentina

I live and work  in my half acre of garden  paradise.  Every visit, every hour of “work” is a pleasure….actually a drug I’ve been hooked on since I was principle manager of our neighborhood’s Victory Garden beginning in 1942.

Somewhere between 1942 and 1945, the primary years of our American involvement in World War II, I became aware of the event of the total eclipse of the Sun.  Not that there was at that time any actual arrival of such an eclipse either in Minnesota or anywhere in these United States.   It could have been Biblical in its arrival into my mind.   I only remember when laboring and pretending to  play games weeding or killing potato beetles  in the Victory Garden I managed at my age going on eight years old,  I was already aware the Sun might  some day be covered by the moon for awhile as the moon travels across the sky.  I think I learned so in Sunday Bible School.

I had to wait till June, 1976, when the Sun while shining across St. Paul and Minneapolis early one morning,  its radiance would be completely blocked for a period of time by the moon.   If so strange things might occur on Mother Earth with in the blocked radiance.

This event was to occur around 6:30AM on this one and only Saturday June morning in a lifetime.

I  and some friends of mine were graduating from the University of Minnesota that very June the very next week.  Total eclipses of the Sun were more into my line of graduation study than any of the half dozen of sleepy heads I had coaxed into awakening that 5:30AM to travel and meet at some hillside overlooking a broad eastern slope with downtown St. Paul on the far left,  guessing in amateur language what we were supposed to enjoy, experience, remember, or hate!

We waited.  We waited some more and then remarks, buy no threats yet…..”THIS BETTER BE GOOD, GLENN!!!    We waited some more…..and then it began…..on  the upper left?!?

We had to protect our eyes.  I used sunglasses covered with photo print tint.

It took five more minutes before all of us saw that beginning of the blockage on the  left of the Sun was indeed the curve of the Moon.

Silence reigned for nearly an hour!   When the Total Eclipse arrived,  our Earth in view fell under a profound shadow stirring  cool wind  and noisy plants.  Some four legged dogs howled.   We two leggeds stood stunned.

Clouds and rain were forecast for that morning.

Rain is not in the forecast among those in San Juan, Argentina.  Nor is it throughout the path across the North of that country.   Take the time…..Take the travel…..There is nothing to sell except BEING THERE and EXPERIENCING an Earth maximum personally!!

That Global Warming Fraud Keeps Growing

Twelve thousand or so years ago, Mother’s Earth of most of Minnesota was several thousand  feet under glacial ice……66,000,000 years ago Tyrannosaurus Rex and kin were running around the hundred foot high ferns in the jungles  of our American Dakotas before a bit of mischief came from outer space and landed in the Gulf of Mexico which changed the Earth forever…..

I suppose one could blame the Rex and their  tree  ferns for allowing their species to disappear so universally, but our more  Goopherland’s ice cover is something different….for nothing ‘flew in’ from outer space to cause Minnesota’s Duluth or even its  Lake Superior to appear ‘from nowhere’ so long ago.

But there WAS an Al Gore….an American political Democrat, a Tennessean raised in a closet who made millions, “billions?”,   selling certain human-caused  Earth-wide weather futures alleging world wide disaster, cruelly caused  by our  white human animal species by inventing   cars, machines,  rockets, and such over the past couple hundred years called “GLOBAL WARMING”.

I am a fan of John Hinderaker of PowerLine.  I think he is from South Dakota.  He’s rational, therefore, a true conservative…..and things have become very, very wet throughout Minnesota this past Winter well into our present Spring:

I’m so old, I can remember when global warming caused droughts. Or, put another way, climate change was making the Earth–in particular, the Great Lakes–drier. Thus, as I noted here:

National Geographic: “Climate Change and Variability Drive Low Water Levels on the Great Lakes.”

The National Resources Defense Council: “Climate change is lowering Great Lakes water levels.”

It’s no secret that, partially due to climate change, the water levels in the Great Lakes are getting very low.

The U.N’s IPCC: “[T]he following lake level declines could occur: Lake Superior -0.2 to -0.5 m.”

Dick Durbin: “What we are seeing in global warming is the evaporation of our Great Lakes.”

Minnesota Public Radio:

Scientists at the Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration [are] studying the interplay between low water levels, shrinking ice cover and warm water temperatures, Gronewold said. They have already concluded that climate change is playing a role in determining Great Lakes water levels.

Those quotes date from 2013, while my post was in 2017, when news reports indicated that Lake Superior was nearing a record high water level. Steve had already pointed out in 2014 that, in “a development that has startled scientists”–notwithstanding, apparently, the claim that the science is settled–Great Lakes water levels were rising rapidly.

What reminds me of this is today’s article in the Wall Street Journal headlined, “High Water Levels on Great Lakes Flood Towns, Shrink Beaches.”

Lakes Erie and Superior are among the Great Lakes expected to reach all-time highs this summer, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. And the levels of Lakes Michigan, Huron and Ontario are well above seasonal averages.

Anyone who knows anything about nature knows that it is cyclical. The Journal story includes graphics, including this one showing water levels in Lake Michigan and Lake Huron:

It got wetter in the 1990s: climate change! Then it got drier roughly from 2000 to 2013: more climate change! Then it got wetter again starting in 2014, and it continues to be wet: still more climate change! The case for climate change is irresistible, but we always knew that. The Earth’s climate has been changing for millions of years, and it will continue changing until the Earth or its atmosphere disappears.

Meanwhile, a theory that is consistent with everything, and therefore purportedly explains everything, in reality explains nothing.

 

 

Ignorance, Corruption, and The Fascist Sale of Global Warming

Fascists, whether our today’s neoDemocrat Party,  Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, or Mao China, rely on the ignorance they preach, threaten,  create and control over their populations.  For the human female animal if left alone to her animal self, TRUTH HAS NO MEANING!  Security does above all matter!

The college age human female is the easiest among the human species to abandon seeking Truth.  She is primarily a creature of feelings.  Not born a curious animal, she demands, seeks security uber alles for her protection and  safety for her “off spring”…..the primary purpose for her existence upon this Earth.

In our America today, she goes to school and college  to become  a superior  abnormal, a feminist  fascist programmed with feelings  to join a Revolution ala Bernie Sanders, Gloria Steinem, or bodies leftier.

Remember that solving problems is not a primary, secondary, or tertiary  human female animal drive  in life.   SECURITY IS!

Yet, Global Warming Alarm today is  a wild hysteria played by human boys at universities, the United Nations, and government centers  throughout the world selling terror to rule the world into a single fascist state where the human male can RULE and DICTATE!

We live in an America today where feminist  leftist ignorance seems to be replacing the historical male drive to expose the unknown in its educational and news world!

WE REALLY DON’T KNOW CLOUDS AT ALL

Global warming hysteria is not based on observation–the Earth’s atmosphere is not warming significantly–but, rather, on computer models. Of course, a computer model will do more or less what its designer tells it to, and the fact that the alarmists’ models do not predict global temperatures accurately has somehow failed to dent the religious faith of those who believe in catastrophic anthropogenic global warming.

The Science and Environmental Policy Project’s The Week That Was highlights the critical importance of clouds, and our utter ignorance of how they work:

On her web site, Judith Curry bring up a translated interview with Bjorn Stevens of the Hamburg Max Planck Institute for Meteorology. He brings up many of the problems with the Climate Establishment, such as:

* Global warming forecasts are still surprisingly inaccurate.

* “Climate sensitivity” [is largely unknown].

* “Back in the 1970s, it was determined using primitive computer models. The researchers
came to the conclusion that their value is likely somewhere between 1.5 and 4.5 degrees.

* “This result has not changed until today, about 40 years later. And that’s exactly the
problem.”

The failure to advance knowledge over 40 years is despite enormous increases in computational power of computers and tens of billions spent on “climate science.”

The difficulties he and his fellow researchers face can be summed up in one word: clouds. The mountains of water vapor slowly moving across the sky are the bane of all climate researchers.

First of all, it is the enormous diversity of its manifestations that makes clouds so unpredictable. Each of these types of clouds has a different effect on the climate. And above all: they have a strong effect.

Simulating natural processes in the computer is always particularly sensitive when small causes produce great effects. For no other factor in the climatic events, this is as true as for the clouds. If the fractional coverage of low-level clouds fell by only four percentage points, it would suddenly be two degrees warmer worldwide. The overall temperature effect, which was considered just acceptable in the Paris Agreement, is thus caused by four percentage points of clouds – no wonder that binding predictions are not easy to make.

In addition, the formation of clouds depends heavily on the local conditions. But even the most modern climate models, which indeed map the entire planet, are still blind to such small-scale processes.

It would be ridiculous to base economic policies on models that can’t predict atmospheric temperatures, and don’t even attempt to take into account such critically important factors as cloud formation.

The Spreading Epidemic of Leftist Fascism Throughout America!!

Separating my family blood from our American masses, my favorite of all Americans of my 84 years of life is our Dennis Prager, a rare, very rare breed these days:  an  American conservative Jewish preacher of contemporary American cultural, political, and moral issues,  limited by today feminazi leftist elites to  radio, lecture, and  books.

I first “met” the man via his radio show the week before favored candidate, truly crooked, sleazy, chronic manipulator,  John F. Kerry, was expected to win the American Presidential election that November, 2004.

My best friend, Steve Levin, a successful artist painter with similar political corpuscles as mine and bearing love for truth and honesty, phoned insisting I turn that very moment to  1280 of the American SRN  radio dial to the Dennis Prager Show.   I bore, bear total trust to Steve’s character and import of recommendations.

I wasn’t   aware then of anything radio worthy outside of “progressive feminized leftism or classical or country music any more.   I turned onto radio 1280 immediately.

Mr. Prager was emotional in his declarations of Kerry character…….in the midst of sizing up the vacuous, dishonest candidate Kerry…..with spectacularly truthful descriptions and examples, each more accurate and power striking with example,  of the adjective clause previous.

I discovered Dennis Prager was a conservative Jew.   I was raised in a Jewish minority St. Paul, Minnesota community  from birth to 1956 when I entered the army.   This was a clannish and wealthier crowd  in school and neighborhood throughout those years.   Until about fourth grade, gentile kids in the area were not allowed into Jewish kids’ homes by dictate of Jewish mothers, I learned from experience.   During World War II Jewish families, although always invited…(I was our war-time  carrier of invitations to all 26 homes in our urban  neighborhood).   No Jewish families ever showed up at these Spring and Fall gatherings.

I didn’t know there were conservative Jews anywhere in America until introduced to our radio’s  Dennis.   He accurately  described “President-to-be Kerry as  empty except with  a  mealy mouth possessing nothing in any area of trustworthyness.

(I want to remind readers that I began an almost drug like interest in American presidential elections when I was fourteen and the battle between Harry S. Truman and  Thomas E. Dewey encouraged by radio and our new black and white Philco television set my dad had just bought.

I knew from  the FDR and Dewey presidential race in 1944, my dad, and therefore my Mother, voted Republican.    (After watching both parties’ conventions on our first tv set ever, I came to like Mr. Truman very much, because…….well, he reminded my of my mom’s German father who really, really liked me.)

I became an active  Democrat when I got married in 1957….and a devoted Republican during the Reagan years….and more devoted since the arrival of our present, spectacular, God-sent current American leader, Donald J. Trump.

I am unChurched, yet, fortunately trained and taught to be God-fearing and American.

Our country is in deep, deep trouble caused by political crimes arising from the atheistic, femininist, feminazi clans at universities, and the Godless  wealthy Jewish community, political, and business sectors  fueling the Left…..that Left which no longer has any faith in TRUTH and seeking TRUTH.

For years as introduction to the Dennis Prager men’s and women’s hour on Wednesday’s,  one of my favorite comments of all time…..

“How do you write women so well” Nicholson responds, “I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability”. 

……and, of course within human nature, this statement is TRUE….TOTALLY TRUE, unless the human female is not interested in seeking TRUTH.

The human female animal is born ditsy, moody, sensitive, driven by feelings.   Two and two don’t necessarily add to four, if she isn’t in the needed mood….!!

NEITHER HE, NOR SHE  ARE BORN TO BE  A PERFECT ENTITY OF IDEAL HUMAN LIFE.  SHE LIKE HE, MUST LEARN TO BE CIVILIZED THROUGH THE CULTURE AVAILABLE.

The Hoax of ‘Climate Change’

Obama knows. John Kerry knows. And Al Gore, the man who has made an enormous amount of money perpetuating the biggest hoax foisted on the human race, knows.  Human-inspired “climate change” is a ruse.   It is all a control-grabbing, land-grabbing, money-grabbing hoax.   For instance, Al Gore, the king of carbon credits, whose home has a giant carbon footprint, and who flies all over the world in private jets, has raked in millions from his green investments and “sustainability research.”   This, after preaching (An Inconvenient Truth) that fossil fuel is the culprit in “global warming.”

The real inconvenient truth is that the earth’s climate has been warming, cooling and dramatically changing since the beginning of time.  How many of us know that Chinese sea captains reported melting ice caps as far back as 1434?  Mega earthquakes and tsunamis as well as blizzards, raging fires, crippling droughts, powerful storms, horrific tornadoes and scorching heat waves have been around since antiquity.  “Climate deniers,” as the alarmists so lovingly refer to us, do acknowledge changes in the climate, but most of us do not accept the premise that human activity the cause.

Recently, the hoax has been ramping up.  President Obama, who has been likened to “Spock” by his climate change cheerleaders, exhorts that slow “climate change” progress can be blamed on “confused, blind, racists shrouded with hate Americans.”  Obama is a far cry from a cool, rational Spock character; his cynical rhetoric continues to divide Americans and cuts off debate.

The latest forecast from the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change adds fuel to the fire.  Their scare tactic is to tell us that we are “doomed.”  The panel decries that carbon emissions must fall 45% by 2030.  Their forecast is, of course, more poppycock emanating from liberal progressives throughout the world.   And on top of that, in the Federal Climate Assessment report just issued, out has come a dire warning to Americans that climate change will negatively affect Americans physically, socially, and economically. That fact is elementary. Horrible weather does and has had severe ramifications for humans throughout the world since the beginning of time.

“Rising sea levels,” “ocean change,” and “global warming,” (now referred to as “climate change”) have become part of the vernacular despite severely flawed global warming models.  However, local and global foot soldiers of the liberal progressive Socialist agenda that was hatched at the UN Brundtland Commission in 1987 continue to foster this ruse about “sustainable development,” its principal buzzword.   And a word to the wise, changing code words faster than the weather does not change facts.

Liberal progressives very effectively created this giant hoax.   The UN and its sycophants realized, brilliantly I might add, that to continue their agenda, they would have to go beyond the Brundtland Report, and would then require the targeting of private property with oppressive regulations, had to be established on a local level first, e.g., Agenda 21.  Agenda 21 is not just a toothless socialist agenda, but rather, it is a radical extremist environmentalist agenda that poses a threat to our liberties.

Recognizing that local governments (Agenda 21) are agents of change, the UN began redrafting a so-called environmental constitution.  This “covenant,” as they call it, gives the UN authority over the entire globe. Unbelievably, it is being enforced despite the fact that the science behind the ruse is seriously flawed.   And, history affords us the inconvenient truth that historical facts put a giant hole in their “human inspired” climate change theory.

Environmentalists have been gobbling up land with regulations based on bad science and greed for years.  Consider the fact that if we get rid of fossil fuels by making them non-competitive, radical environmentalists, with their sketchy green technology, are poised to sashay in to take unprecedented control over private property and pocket billions of more dollars: “climate change” hype is a giant cash cow.

I wonder, do these environmentalists gone crazy, who have outstripped the reasoned environmentalists of the past, truly believe that carbon emissions interfere with the cycles of nature?   It is audacious to think that some of us, including a hefty number of scientists (whose numbers are shrinking) believe that humans, who are tiny in the scheme of things, have a whit to do with climate changes and sea-level rises and falls. The hubris here is mind-boggling.

Even James Lovelock, whose “Gaia Hypothesis” is the founding platform for global warming hysteria, and who predicted the death of billions of humans because of it, now admits that he was an alarmist and is debunking the entire cabal.  Lovelock has stated that the idea that humans are responsible for changes in the climate is not credible.   Lovelock further suggested that the modern green movement has become a religion that uses guilt to gain support.

The operative question is, do “We the People” of our great nation really want to be manipulated by the UN and its minions?  Do we care that the UN invasion into our country will ultimately strip away our freedoms?  Do we care that “climate change” hype is a sinister means of enforcing the idea that the collective takes a front seat to individual rights?

To make matters worse, liberal progressive socialists  have very effectively (as they always do…a la Saul Alinsky) demonized and dismissed the canaries in the coal mine as wacky, racist, paranoid, conspiracy theorists.  Not so fast.  The canaries understand that the invasion of the UN agenda, with the help of liberal progressives socialists has ushered in abuses, controls and illegal appropriations that the Constitution of the United States has warned would strip us of our liberty and freedoms.

Enough is enough.  Liberal progressive scientists and politicians, not science, are dictating our carbon regulations.  These modern environmental extremists have shot way past stewardship of the planet.  It is up to reasoned citizens of our great country to have our voices heard.

So what can we do?   The best place to have the voices heard from those of us who understand that private property is the most important guarantee of our freedoms is by taking seats on local boards and commissions.   Also of importance is to determine if your city or town is a member of Agenda 21. If yes, it is up to those who understand the ramifications of that to challenge the membership.

And most importantly, although it’s a monumental task, the youth of our nation who have been indoctrinated since grammar school, must come to understand that much of what they were spoon-fed in school is liberal progressive “save the planet” moral masquerading.   For their own edification, our youngsters might want to hear from the canaries exactly how the hoax will affect their future. Unfortunately, many of the youth in America suffer deep scars from years and years of indoctrination.  Inanition, anger, and arrogance, are some of the lingering effects of the sinister propaganda inflicted on our youth by liberal progressive socialists. But we must not give up trying.

“We don’t know the student’s name, but we do know that he hit a nerve — in fact, he hit a whole bunch of them. Identified only as a boy of Asian descent at C.K. McClatchy High School in California, the teen’s recent science-fair project, “Race and IQ,” propounded the thesis that differences in groups’ average intelligence influence their academic performance. He couldn’t win, though, because his project was removed after parents, staff and other students became “upset” and one girl said she felt “unsafe and uneasy.” The irony?

The paper is likely unaware, however, that the term “eugenics” itself was coined by Sir Francis Galton — a cousin of famed evolutionist Charles Darwin — and that Galton made clear that in his eugenicist endeavors, he was merely building on his cousin’s work.

Philosopher G.K. Chesterton once noted that if people “were not created equal, they were certainly evolved unequal.” This is easy to understand: What are the chances that different groups could have “evolved” isolated from one another for eons — subject to different environments, stresses, procreation-influencing cultural imperatives and adaptive realities — and ended up identical in every worldly measure? Why, even if the peoples evolved isolated in identical environments, the separation alone would make the prospects of winding up completely “equal” a virtual statistical impossibility.

Whatever you believe about evolution, it’s clear that equality is not a thing of this world. Do we see it in nature? Some species can dominate others or are more adaptable, which is why the rat is a pest and the dodo is extinct (and, in fact, the rat helped drive the dodo to extinction). Even within species, some members are hardier, smarter, faster or stronger than others. There are alphas and betas, with a silverback gorilla running his troop and a dominant lion leading his pride. Shelby Steele battled racial segregation during his early  formative years.  In a Socialist empire, whether American, Brit, or Soviet Union flavors, the human male, not the human female, is still is born  intellectually, mentally, physically, natively craving discipline over virtue, probably by animal more than a tad.

It’s the animal drive  in us as human males born to be curious, seek understanding, awareness to survive, to be able to explore, inquire, to defend, do defy….unless such drives are knocked out of us at home or by school and university, or by death as  in the good old leftist Soviet Union and Mao’s China.

Dennis Abandoned in New York City Yesterday

Dennis wound up isolated in New York City yesterday.   One inch of windy snowfall canceled his presentation   before he landed in town making him sans something to do and said so during his first two hours of radio labor.

I think he is often at his best when forced to philosophize, imagine, forced into problem solving.   After all the human male animal is programmed to problem solve.

I have been aware of Dennis for fourteen years.   I have never called his program’s 877-243-7776 until yesterday,  this snowy in New York City day.  He had initiated a discussion about righteousness.   He is for it of course, hoping, as so many of us Godfearing souls still do in American life today that it will not disappear from the face of the  Earth as it seems to be doing in our America lately…..

He noted that President Donald J. Trump, is a human being  and therefore not  perfect.  (He didn’t discuss any of  the thousands of conditions and variations of crime recent Presidential candidate, Hillary R. Clinton had practiced throughout her forty year political career selling herself).

Yet, this politically  flawed Donald J. Trump has, in less than one year, managed to solve or cause an inevitable  solution to a number of critical issues on his way to “Make America Great Again”….as he had promised….perhaps the best ten months of such success a neophyte American president has ever achieved.

Dennis was critical of the Never Trump folks who to this day will not acknowledge our 45th president’s stunning achievements…..because the President carries flaws…such as language and occasional exaggerations, and hair arrangement.  (He has been divorced twice….oh my!)

We should mention here,  that 75% of the American conservative Christian voting population backed Our Donald to defeat “Crooked” Hillary in 2016…..and contrary to America’s Democrat Party and CNN, MSNBC fascist claims today….Mr. Trump is ‘hugely’ brainy,  loves his country, its  freedoms, dreams and opportunities.

We live in an America today, however,  where the kings and queens running university and school preach the horrendous lie there is no difference between the human male animal and human female animal.

The human male animal has been and still is….born, programmed by  Nature’s God,  to be a killer, a defender, a problem solver, a builder, to invent, be curious, to explore, to challenge, to sire…..to fight for survival to protect his kin, his mate, his tribe, his country…….because by Nature, his is driven to protect his brood for the survival of the species.

All major Gods worshiped  by mankind are male, always male.   Why?

He, not she, is programmed and built  to protect his mate and  offspring, his community  in the singular and in war for the survival of the species.  Despite the call of today’s “butches” and feminazis at college and their Democrat Party propagandists , the human female animal is not built a carbon copy of the human male animal.

The she of the human animal is driven by feelings, to seek comfort, security, safety for the survival of her and her species flesh and blood.    Seeking TRUTH is not a primary goal in her life…..Her FEELINGS bury her curiosity.  She seeks “home”, not to build, but be secure and attractive in……..

Only in a dictatorship has she been  found ‘building’ a “Boulder Dam”, supposedly as  equal to ‘man’……in Stalin’s Soviet Union…and that was according to  the Soviet Press.
