Prager University course: Do High Taxes Raise More Money?

Dear Friends:

Do you know someone who thinks France’s new 75% tax rate on “the rich” is a great idea and should be adopted here in the United States? Perhaps you know people who think it’s just common sense that raising tax rates raises more revenue for the government.

If so, ask them to  watch our latest course “Do High Taxes Raise More Money?” Have some smelling salts ready. They’re in for a shock, hopefully one that will bring them back to their senses.

The lecturer is Tim Groseclose, Professor of Political Science and Economics at UCLA. This is his second Prager University course. Here he explains the relationship between tax rates and tax revenue. It’s fascinating, compelling and clear.

Prager University Campus Clubs

We often get letters from college students who are fed up with the constant diet of Leftist ideas they get from their professors and want a different viewpoint, something fresh and engaging. To help them we’ve created Prager University Campus Clubs.

These clubs will give members the intellectual ammo they need to combat the Left-wing groupthink that dominates campus life. Student groups from universities all over America will meet regularly to watch and discuss PragerU courses.

Group leaders will be hand-picked and trained to ensure that they understand the ideas behind Prager University and can effectively lead a campus group. If you think you may know college students who might be interested in leading or joining a Campus Club, have them email us at Info@Prageruniversity.com.

If you’ve been following us for even a short period of time, you know that we’re growing by leaps and bounds. But to continue, we need your help.  Give to an institution of higher learning that actually supports your values (there’s a novel idea!).

 Sincerely,

 Allen Estrin ……Chancellor, Prager University
